Boys are stupid

It was official, boys were stupid dumb creatures and she should be given a medal for having to put up with two of them, TWO OF THEM! One was bad enough. No respect for personal space or for boundaries or anyone else's needs. It was all them, them, them. Well! She wouldn't be playing along today, she had far more important things to do, like explore the borders in hopes of finding the interesting woman she had met a while ago. While she had scared Charlotte somewhat, the thrill had been exhilarating. Or quite possibly leaving the packlands to explore the world beyond it.

It was forbidden of course but that's what made it all the more inviting and exciting! The adventure and new things to experience. She had heard in passing from some of the other pack members that there was a large gathering of people somewhere nearby and they were having a festival type party, trading things and generally having fun, Lottie wanted to have fun, grownup fun like grownups did. She was grown up! She was. Sbhe wasn't some stupid littloe kid anymore, she was almost 5 months old! Almost old enough to shift and then she would show them all! She would. They all thought she couldn't do much. Silently she crept towards the borders, her cinnamon coat sticking out like a sore thumb against the snowy ground and bare bushes.

Light decided to take a break from the festival and from his duties as he found a nice patch of land to draw. His hang over slowly but carefully subsiding with his relaxation upon a rock. His hand feverishly scratching the pencil against paper. The landscape was delightful, simple but he often took time to detail every tree and rock. He scratched the side of his face with his pencil looking over the drawing and finally back toward the packland. He was well from the borders but he paused his scratch and squinted slightly. In the distance he noticed something red in contrast to the snow it stood out easily. Whoever it was they were small and this automatically threw up some alarms with the male. Why was someone so small wandering this far from their pack, it was dangerous and not wise. He approached slowly giving the girl a friendly wave and as he drew near he lowered to one knee as to not tower her. His posture was friendly, his ears carefully pulled to a less intimidating feature. Hi there. He said his deep voice said cheerfully. My name’s Light.

She was caught up within her game of hide and seek with herself, the object was to not get caught by a pack member that would escort her back to her parent's house, her reward would be an uncensored view of the outside world, even if it was only for a few minutes before her courage caved and she hightailed it back to saftey. At least she would be able to say she had been further than her two brothers and therefore was braver and smarter then they. Lottie still had a long way to go before maturity and adultness would hit her.

Her solitude was not to last however as the sound of footsteps crunching through the snow came to her upright ears, mentally she sighed and turned in preparation to meet the stern and disapproving gaze of the Dauphin or maybe even her father. But instead she received the surprise of meeting somebody she had never seen before. A light colored male was making his way towards her and soon was kneeling before her to introduce himself as Light, how strange.

"Hi, I'm Charlotte Haskel. What do you got there?" She questioned, gesturing with her nose at his papers and artwork. Nearby a bird fluttered through the branches and sung a sweet son g. Lottie was momentarily distracted by it before returning her sea pool gaze to Light.

Light smiled again and lifted the drawing to present it to her. Its your home. Your pack. Light explained as he pointed at the direction he had been drawing. See here’s the big tree here, those rocks over there, that big snowdrift right here… He pointed out the features in the picture and their life counterparts. Well you get the idea. Do you like it Charlotte? He said his deep voice filled with excitement at a young critic. He wondered what she was doing out so far, if her parents were worried or otherwise. Maybe she needed an adventure or something of the sort, from what he learned of this pack it was very much like his homeland. He believed it to be strict & confined; for the young anyway. He knew just how suffocating that could be. His brothers and sisters were constantly under watch from the guards. They were constantly thwarted to follow their curiosities. In adolescence it was easy to escape but at this young pup’s age they would never be caught this far from homeland. He would make it his mission to convince her to go home to the safety of her land. He couldn’t help but feel grateful that she had run into him first and not anyone else who might pose a threat to her.

overexcited lottie is overexcited.

Her eyes widened in wonder as they took in the drawing. This was.. just so.. epic! Her mind had been blown by the simple fact that it was possible to make that white square thing look like the places surrounding them with the long black thingy. She had seen the books her mother kept of course and knew they contained writing and pictures but it was the idea that you could make them yourself. That it wasn't just made by some mystical creature that lived long ago, such was her understanding of the humans that had made the books her mother kept.

Her jaw swung open slightly and her malamute curled tail began to drift back and forth,

"Thats amazing that is. I want to make things like that, can you show me? Maybe when I can shift I can make things look like that. I bet i could practice even before I shift. My brothers couldn't, because they are boys and boys are stupid. Apart from you and daddy, you're not stupid at all!
