OOC she's in heat until Feb 10, so don't mind her

Bouncing through the snow Terra barked happily. She still didn't know what had changed with her, but the feeling was just great, keeping her excited and constantly energetic. Terra felt a bit like she'd been turned into a pup again, except she wasn't getting exhausted. A new member had joined the pack, and that information had thrown her into a complete spiral, sending her spinning with happiness. She was so excited to meet the newcomer. She'd heard it was a male as well, sending shivers of delight down her spine.

Entering the hotel Terra nosed around, careful to avoid Strel's room. She'd been caught in there goofing off once, and she wasn't going to repeat that mistake. Not her. She was smarter than that. At least she hoped so. It had been so horrible explaining what she'd been doing, so childish. Things had changed within her now, but somehow Terra got the feeling it wouldn't mean much to Strel. He was probably one of the few males that wouldn't be effected by her scent, including the alpha and wolves that were too old to react. Happily she followed the scent of the new one, easily able to pick out the new smell.

haha, that ought to be interesting. XD

When she drew nearer, Trent recognised the scent. It sent shivers down his spine, and he wasn't sure if they were good or bad ones. It made him want to crawl down in submission and roar out in dominance. Most of all, it made him want to hide under a rock until she was gone. Unfortunately, he had no rock. All he had was a mostly empty room that felt cold and unpersonal. Not like a den that he had scratched out himself, not like the cold night sky as he fell asleep in the tall grasses of his home. Just a room. That was mostly empty. Nowhere to hide.

Knowing that he could not hide in this room for ever, Trent carefully poked at his door. He was in his optime form, although he did not feel entirely confident in it yet. But it made handling doors a lot easier, at least. There was a screeching sound as it opened and he carefully poked his nose around the edge of the door.

Looking at her, she looked pretty, he supposed. Uh... What was he supposed to say? Trent raked his mind for all of the advice his parents had ever given him, and ended up saying something dumb. You're really beautiful. The words were not passionate or seductive; merely calculated and matter-of-factly. Because even though she was beautiful, it didn't matter much beyond giving her a compliment. Well, he knew it was supposed to mean more... His head still poked around the door, fingers clasped to the door's edge like clasping to a lifeboat on a stormy ocean, Trent figured he had to look pretty ridiculous.

OOC love that first part!

Terra wagged her tail happily as the door creaked open. A male, just a few months older than her, pried it open. She looked at him stick his head out, standing in his optime form. Terra had been in her burly secui form, letting her bound through the snow without being caught by it, though it was hard to tell since she still looked thin, mostly like a slightly muscular normal wolf. She smiled at him as he clung to the door for dear life. He appeared terrified of her, despite her friendly appearance. Well, perhaps not the most friendly.

Thanks. You should see me when I'm on two legs. She winked at him teasingly, her jaw open in a silent laugh. Twisting around the door where he stood Terra stuck her head inside. It was a pretty empty room, not even any cloth or furniture left over. Pulling her head back she looked at him quizzically. Why did you pick this room? Her own room had been chosen because she'd been able to make a kind of den in the mattress, and had a closet she could curl up and hide in.

Trent wasn't very used to the optime form just yet, and so he doubted that he would've thought her much more pretty if she was in it presently. It would take time for him to see the beauty in it, although he liked the shiny accessories that it brought. Well, for those who actually had shiny accessories, anyway. Trent had nothing, presently. He smiled nervously when she made her comment, not really sure how to respond, especially because his comment had only been half genuine to start with.

When she came closer and stuck her nose around the corner of his door, Trent backed off into the room, narrowly managing not to make a panicked sound in the process. He stumbled onto the ground, still not too used to this two-legged form, and stared up at her from underneath his long, orangey mane, of which a large portion hung in his face. Trent hastily wiped away a couple strands of hair so that he could see again and looked at her apologetically. Uh, I'm not used to this form much yet.

Oh, right, she'd asked him about the room. Trent glanced around, and he wasn't really sure. The only thing the room had was a broken table. So, essentially all it had was a corner of firewood, since Trent had shoved it in the corner, finding no use for the two-legged, cracked item. I guess because it's... He looked around the emptiness, and began to wonder the same question. Uh, I don't know. It was just the first one I looked in. The ground's a bit hard, though, so I haven't slept much in here yet. Trent glanced at the ground, avoiding eye contact or even looking at her face. He'd remained seeted on the ground, even though he was in his optime form, to hopefully avoid falling over again.

Terra laughed as he tumbled to the ground, her tail wagging happily. He was so clumsy, so fresh. Every nerve in her body screamed that he was one of those gullible creatures that were just so much fun to tease. Lazily she walked over to him, body swaying slightly as she approached him. He wiped the strands of hair out of his face quickly, revealing his clear eyes. Uncertainty and shyness shone through as Terra rubbed against him. That's alright. It takes time to get used to, that's all. Terra knew that well enough herself, having tried to tackle someone in optime only to fail miserably.

Lifting her tail Terra held herself dominantly over the male, making his position clear. He was beneath her. Even if she didn't usually care about such things, this time round it would be quite certain. Leaning down she licked his face before straightening up. She didn't move away though, leaving herself still in contact with the sprawled male. A slow smile spread over her face at his words. She knew the ins and outs of the hotel pretty well at this point, having gone scavenging for magic supplies and time spent investigating for places to hide and play in. She knew all the best places for getting supplies. I can help you with that. We can go get some stuff that will make this room much more comfortable. Playfully she winked at the male, fully aware how uncomfortable she was making him.

Trent had hoped that she'd stay away, but she came closer after he fell down. He swallowed difficultly, feeling aversed by the touch and leaned back on his lower arms, keeping himself close to the ground. Trent had no problem with her display of dominance, because at least it was a game that he knew how to play. His parents'd always been the sort to have trouble with his easy submission, but to Trent it felt only natural to submit. He lowered himself a bit further and hunched his shoulders while he looked away from her, avoiding eye contact. Since he had no idea what to say, he didn't respond verbally to her suggestion that he'd get used to this with time.

A tongue suddenly connected with his face and, even though it felt rather awkward in this two-legged form, Trent moved his nose towards her face and tried to lick the tip of her chin gingerly. It was to show that he accepted her as his superior. There was no mistaking that the bashful, awkward male was happy enough to be a subordinate, in the ranks and to her.

Then she offered to help him look for stuff. Really? The word was out before he realised it, and he hadn't meant to sound quite as incredulous. I mean to say, ah, that'd be great. Trent knew little of the human world, and he didn't really know what sort of things he'd need, but he hoped that maybe she would know a bit more.

All of a sudden Trent realised that he hadn't introduced himself yet, and that he didn't yet know the female's name either. Oh -- I'm Trent, by the way. He forced a smile to his face to go with his introduction.

The wolf didn't seem to like her touch, trying to make himself shrink away at her touch. It wasn't a reaction that she was used to, knowing that she was especially difficult to resist right now. Terra growled playfully as he reached up licking her chin. Her tail wagged happily as she stepped away from him, at last leaving him room to stand up. She crouched there, letting the bones shift and melt, lengthening. It didn't hurt, though it did sound like it did. She had finally gotten used to tuning that out though, with the noise no longer bothering her. Her claws lengthened, the pads of her paws separating and lengthening out. Her back legs stretched, tearing slightly at the wood beneath her before she shook her red hair out and stood up.

Lightly she laughed at his credulousness. Finding stuff for the room would be easy. Well, for Terra it would be. The room was empty, and hard to sleep on. That part didn't particularly bother her, used to dropping wherever she was, whether on a rocky plain or curled up beneath tree roots, but she knew exactly what could be used to do so. She just had to avoid certain items that immediately leaped into her mind at the suggestion. I'm Terra. She flashed a charming smile at him, holding her hand down to pull him up.

Trent couldn't help it that his jaw dropped as he watched her change into her optime form. He'd seen Sebastian change, of course, but it was some time ago and since then he'd only seen wolves in one or the other shape. Trent rudely stared at her while she shifted, ears flattening every time he heard a crack that sounded moer than painful. He hadn't forgotten about the pain it still caused him to shift. She did not look to be in a lot of pain, but the sickening cracks reminded him too much of his own changes and he looked away again, gritting his teeth. Trent was clearly not feeling very comfortable.

She introduced herself as Terra once she had changed, and Trent looked at her for a while, observing the changes that had just taken place. It was hard to believe she was still the same wolf.

Terra held out a hand, but Trent wasn't accustomed to what the gesture was meant to offer. He looked at the outstretched hand apologetically, not understanding that she meant to help pull him up — but too insecure to ask — and then scrambled to his feet on his own accord. Were you always like this..? Or did you change later? Trent was curious if there were more like him, that had learned to live with being a luperci at a later age. Maybe they'd be able to teach him some things about learning to deal with his forms, if there were any others around.

The same gaze that Terra had turned on Eclipse as she watched another shift for the first time now turned to her. Terra winked at him happily, noting his confusion about the hand. She pulled back as he stood up on his own before playfully stepping over, rubbing shoulders with him. Even in optime form she acted very much like she was still on four legs, her affections and gestures that of a non shifted canine than that of what she truly was.

His question had Terra tilting her head with curiosity. No. Why? Are some always like this? Terra didn't know much about luperci, having the misfortune of being born among regular coyotes despite her heritage. There had been no one to inform her or teach her about what she was, giving her the shock of her life when she shifted for the first time at six months. Running as fast as she could from the place she'd called home Terra had searched for others like her. She found them, but the gap of knowledge still remained, slowly filled in piece by small piece.

The physical contact made Trent uneasy again, and he averted his gaze again, staring at the room's empty floor. He knew that any touch during this season should give him a feeling of exhillaration, and a part of him knew that this was what was supposed to happen. The fact that it did not distressed Trent; as if he was not truly wolf, because he did not have these feelings that others would at the sight of a beautiful female in heat. Trent stole a quick glance, then looked back at the ground, looking uncomfortable.

At her question, he was baffled a moment, since he expected that everyone here knew everything about being luperci. He was probably the last to ask, but he was pretty sure some were born like this, those that seemed so comfortable in it; like Sebastian, the dark-furred male he'd met, and Alder. Some are... I think. He honestly wasn't much help. After a pause he filled the uncomfortable silence with the worst subject his identity-confused mind could come up with. So, do you have a mate? He wished he could swallow the words right back down, but he couldn't now that they were out. Trent kept his gaze submissively averted to the ground, unwilling to risk even a moment of eye contact with her. Well, if she answered his question at least he knew if he was risking being pummelled into a bloody pulp by someone by hanging out with Terra in the state she was in.

His answer wasn't very good. It just gave Terra more to ponder on. She knew she had been born this way, but knowing that some could always shift was strange. He was unsure as well, adding to the puzzle. Terra would have to ask someone after this then, finding out what the difference was between those that could always shift and those that shifted later, unaware that she fell into the former category, having most luperci gain the ability at six months. There was so much that she didn't know, had to learn. Even this freshly adjusting wolf knew more than her. Pups probably knew more. She snorted slightly in frustration heading towards the door.

Opening the door Terra paused at Trent's question. Softly she laughed, the notes falling like bells through the air. Turning she winked at the submissive wolf. I'm open, wolfy. If you're interested there's nothing to fear. No brave knight has stepped up for me yet. She came back, her hand running down his arm. Are you? Or will I have to wait for another? Her voice was low, almost a growl of pleasure before she stepped away lightly, into the hallway. This way. There's some good stuff up here.

Like Terra, Trent had no idea what the world of luperci was like, so he wasn't able to offer her a lot of answers. He had only recently changed, so he knew even less about it -- he couldn't even control his shifting, or himself, after all -- than he assumed she did. I changed only recently, he said, although he didn't know why he shared this tidbit of information with her. Maybe so that she would understand better why he was being so silly.

When she came back and touched his arm, Trent regretted his question. Suck it up and go for it, he thought, unsure whether he was aroused or revulsed by her touch, by her closeness, by her scent. I - I - I - I'm free, he stammered, tripping over his words. Trent wasn't sure why he didn't tell her that he didn't actually fancy females, that he couldn't see himself share more than a life of friendship with one without bending himself out of his original shape. Maybe it was because he thought that she could somehow fix him, change him, bend him out of that original, sick, shape, because it was wrong. He was wrong, but he had hopes that he could be fixed yet, unaware of the fact there were more wolves here that did not fancy the opposite gender as much as their own. As things were, he could not deal with his feelings for the dark-furred male, and he felt like he needed to change the very core of what he was to be 'fixed'.

Mouth open, all that came out was a quivering bottom lip until she stepped away into the hallway. His pounding heart calmed down a bit, and he was not given more time to consider whether it would be worth the risk of being absolutely miserable to try and pursue a relationship of the more healthy kind, with the opposite gender. Pushed back into present time, Trent nodded, forcing a smile to his face. Okay. It was all he said, rather awkwardly, as he followed her to the hallway and allowed her to lead the way to wherever the shinies were.

Terra didn't care whether or not he was new to shifting or not. What mattered was how fast he could adapt. Shaking her hair out she glanced back at his shaky words. Playfully she winked at him. Are you offering? I'm not sure you're strong enough to handle this though, boy. Maybe you should be looking for a protector yourself. Her words were teasing, asking him to step up to the challenge that she set, while at the same time leaving a way for him to wriggle out. Terra had little patience with the weak, dominating over them without a thought. At the same time if he decided to pursue her, Terra would more than welcome the attention, her body craving all the attention it could get.

Her hips swayed slightly as she moved down the halls, tempting and seducing all that could see. Terra flicked her tail with pleasure as she entered the room filled with the most stuff. Broken furniture, a mattress, and bits of fabric that Strel hadn't managed to reach were through the room. Lamps, desks, and other miscellaneous from when it used to be a hotel filled the room. Terra scanned it happily, knowing exactly what she was looking for. In optime form this was going to be a lot more tricky, unable to dive through the small gaps and tunnels she was used to. The desk looked useful though. It could be used as a den of sorts when shoved against the wall. The fabric could be used to soften the floor as well. Stretching her body she began to climb over the broken bits, foot occasionally slipping into the gaps before she reached her prize: a thick wool blanket, large moth holes eaten through it.

To be honest, Trent wasn't sure if he was strong enough to handle all of what she had either. Not just because she was female, but also because she had quite the personality on her. Unable to form an adequate response, all Trent did was stare at her with his mouth opened until they finally moved out of his mostly empty room to look for more stuff. He was glad that he had someone to guide him, although Trent wasn't sure if it was a good idea to get closer to her, and let her get closer to him. He might persuade himself to just go for it and try to steal her heart, if he allowed that to happen, only to likely crush it at some point in his life because she wasn't really what he fancied. He was still under the delusion that he could learn to love that way of life, the normal way of life. But he knew that if he waited too long, she'd probably think he was too weak. While thinking this over, Trent followed Terra in silence, not even noticing her swaying hips in his oblivion and thoughts.

The room of stuff that they went to seemed to have a lot of shinies, and Trent wondered if this was just a spare room with things in it that anyone could take. How did this get here? Do people put things they don't need here? he asked curiously, eager to get the subject onto something a little more innocent. So uh, can anyone become mates here? I mean to say, ah... In my old pack, only the Alphas and Betas were allowed to, you know, do, stuff, have puppies. The words came out awkwardly, and Trent felt rather dumb that he couldn't even call things by their name after passing his second year of life. Terra seemed so inviting, though, which left him wondering whether or not that sort of thing was allowed here. A lot of things were different from his old home here, after all.

In the meantime she dug through stuff, finding something that looked like a flat piece of fur. It smelled like it, too; at least, Trent thought to recognise the faint scent of sheep cling to it. How peculiar. He looked at her and the blanket, waiting for her to do something with it as he had no idea what it was used for.

Returning to rummaging Terra tossed the blanket in Trent's direction. Keeping her balance up there was tricky, the furniture occasionally creaking as she tested their balance, pushing the edges. So many gaps, so many places she could fall through, so many ways she could break a leg. It brightened her heart, even as she knew that there was no real danger with her skill at balancing and moving. Going through again Terra found an old chair, springs sticking out of the back. She removed the cushion, looking at it rather curiously. Maybe it could work like her mattress, on a smaller scale. It would certainly be easier to move. I'm not sure. Think all the stuff the canines didn't want were pushed out of the way so we could move around earlier. I've dug through here a couple times, you can take what you want.

The heated female pushed the cushion towards Trent. His words would normally have sent her blushing, but with the rush of hormones rushing through her Terra didn't hear that. Instead she heard a very open invitation. Her tail wagged happily as she moved closer to him. You can mate with whoever you wish. I'd suggest you make sure they're available first, though. Don't want any scars marring your pretty face. Terra chuckled at the awkward air to his questions, fairly relaxed. As soon as she came back out of heat Terra would be horrified at her actions, but for now it simply pushed at her, telling her to do whatever it took to satisfy her desire. Looking around Terra indicated. I think we can take some of the wooden parts and make a den in your room if you want. You see anything you want? Terra winked suggestively, purposely placing herself on the menu.

This was a good room to remember, Trent figured. Trent caught the blanket and looked at it. It smelled kind of funny, and the scent of sheep was now stronger than before. He wondered if perhaps it had previously been a sheep's blanket, although he wasn't sure why a sheep would want a blanket. While he questioned her about the ways of the pack, he was given a cushion and he awkwardly held the cushion and the blanket in his hands, not used to carrying stuff around in optime form well yet.

She responded with her usual lack of embarrassment, but then, Trent was embarrassed enough for the both of them. He wasn't sure how he kept returning tot his. As she mentioned making a den, all of this seemed a little weird to him -- after all, why make a den in a room if one could go outside and scratch one out? -- but he didn't say so. Besides, the blanket and the cushion felt rather soft against his fur and Trent figured that it would make a lovely den if it was coated with soft things. He was already growing rather attached to all of the shinies that luperci had, and wanted some of his own. And now he had a room to store them in.

I'll come back later to see if there's anything else, he informed when she asked about it. Since Trent had been looking away from her, he didn't notice the wink, or he might've felt embarrassed or at a loss for words. If you can take some uh, wooden bits, I'll carry this back..? His hands full with the blanket and the cushion, Trent waited for Terra to take some things and lead the way back to his room. Trent would follow her then. He wasn't sure what would happen there, and neither was he very sure what he wanted to happen once they'd get there.

Disappointed that Trent didn't pick up on her suggestion Terra turned, looking over the items again. Deciding on which wooden parts to take was difficult. Terra had learned how to make some puzzle pieces out of wood, but that had been a project that had lasted quite a few days. Making a den out of them would be simpler, but still promised to take a fair amount of time. Shrugging she dragged out a small table and some smaller broken flat wooden pieces. They would make a fair den. She moved out of the room and they returned to the empty room.

Gazing around Terra turned and looked to Trent for direction. She had no idea how he wanted this to be set up. The male was sweet, though very shy. She wondered if he would keep pushing in the direction Terra felt he was hinting at, which was more than open enough for Terra, or ask for his help arranging things. He might even ask her to leave, wanting time alone. She placed the wooden pieces down, and softly arranged them into a small cave one could sleep under before stepping back shyly, looking to see if he liked it.

Silently they went back to Trent's room with the items. Trent put the blanket and the cushion down when they reached the room and looked to Terra for help. She started to arrange the wooden bits she'd gathered and it soon began to take shape. With the blankets inside, Trent figured it'd make a nice and warm, cosy den. Much better than the empty ground he had been sleeping on this time.

Trent smiled as he looked at the makeshift den and looked at Terra while he wiped a few strands of hair from his face. It looks great. Thank you, I wouldn't have known where to start or find all this stuff without you. Trent gave her a grateful smile, trying to keep himself from looking away from her all the time in submission. Ah... So... His heart thumped in his throat while he struggled with his emotions. His heart went out to the dark-furred man he had met weeks ago, but he wasn't here, and Terra was. Besides, she might be just what he needed to be cured of his weird like for other males.

Since the right words just wouldn't come out, Trent took a step closer to Terra on shaky, clumsy feet, hoping that it would show that at the very least, he didn't want her to leave. Neither was he entirely sure what he did want, though. I'm sorry. I have no idea what is appropriate to do next, ah... He scratched his cheek, though more for the sake of doing something than that he had an itch of sorts, and gave her an apologetic look.

Terra's tail wagged happily at his words. She beamed with the compliment, shaking her head softly. You would have found stuff eventually, I'm sure. You're just new. Suddenly suspicious she studied Trent. Terra had welcomed him into the pack, but so many had left her so suddenly. Terra wondered if he would be the same, leaving her behind. At least he couldn't mock her because of her blood. He was a hybrid as well. His smile was soft, but she didn't feel that he was there, with her.

So shaky, he stepped closer to her. Terra grinned as he spoke, her hormones kicking in once again. The worry and fear that she'd began to feel was pushed away. She reached up, brushing his hand softly. Are you really looking for something appropriate to do? Or perhaps something quite different is in mind. Terra grinned at him happily, waiting for him to confirm or deny her words. Again something nagged at her, his eyes being far off. She pushed that aside though, trying to let her body rule her actions.

She seemed glad for his words, and Trent smiled at her; probably his first genuine smile that day. He looked at the makeshift den once more, satisfied with how it had turned out. It would sure beat sleeping on the cold, hard floor. He was new, but he intended to stick around. The pack didn't seem very big, from what scents he'd caught lingering around, but that was okay. Trent felt more comfortable knowing the pack wasn't enormous, since it meant that he would be less intimidated by everyone in it. Being new is kind of weird. I've never been new before. But I guess I'll get over it. He grinned slightly, opening up a teensy bit before locking his walls around him again, firmly in place where they usually were.

Trent swallowed at the touch of his hand, still very much unsure if this was what he really wanted. Truth was, if anything happened then he would do it because it was appropriate, in his eyes. He was supposed to be a strong and masculine male, woe the females and stuff like that.

This time, he did catch her hint, and Trent swallowed dryly as the reality of her words hit him. He could feel his hands quiver as he moved a hand up to her cheek. The coywolf touched her cheek gingerly, as though it was made out of porcelain and he was afraid it'd break, and he looked up at last, at her face. Maybe I could learn to love her. Then why was the dark-furred male he'd met during his first luperci change all he could think of at the anticipation of getting physical with anyone at all? Would it really be fair to do this to her, all for the sake of his selfish need to overcome his sick gay desires? But between fair and what he needed...

Grey eyes stared numbly at her face as he tried to dig up his moral compass, a shaking hand still gingerly touching her cheek.
