It's up to you exactly what you want to say she found and stole. It could be a necklace, ring, gold cup.. Anything. The 'trinkets' are just things she grabbed out of Halifax, pretty things! WC; 340+

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Bambi asked quietly, smoothing down the black cat's ears. "Don't want you dying in your sleep or anything.." They had returned back to the stone house they had claimed last time to find that most of the pelts and such that had been left behind had not been moved. "I'm fine dear.. I can take care of myself. Always-" She coughed, "have." The dog rolled her eyes, though she couldn't hide the hurt within them. Nana already had the grim reaper hanging over her.. And even Bambi wasn't naive enough to ignore it. She didn't know the cause, or exactly when her soul would finally be dragged away, but she was dying.

The dog made her way outside, treading carefully as to not wake Nana. She was in the process of building a fence to go around her home. Her thinking process was that if she could make one big cage around the home, then the rabbits could roam freely around it. "When the spring comes back around, maybe I could even have a little garden here." She thought, but that idea was far fetched. For one, she had never been very good at caring for plants. "And plus, the garden isn't to far away anyways." Bambi used the tip of her axe to sharpen a stick, making it nice and pointy before jamming it into the ground in front of her. "One down, six million to go.."

The inside of the house had few things within it at this time. There was three rooms that branched off from the main one- The one that the feline was currently sleeping in. The back room held the rabbits, their cages sitting on the ground and a few spirtual things laying around them for protection. The second room was the one Bambi slept in.. This one was almost completely empty, other then the deer pelt that was spread across some of the floor. And lastly, one held her trinkets and other valuable things such as her scarf.

Terra

Returning to her pack Terra heard the news about Cercatori d'Arte's achievement. She'd never heard of the pack before, and didn't know what a boat was either. The chance to learn about these strange things was something she couldn't turn down, especially since the borders had been declared open. Not that it particularly mattered to the female, never quite aware when she cut through borders to make her trips shorter. She was always aware of them, but the most her stops had her do was see if anyone had been by recently. That was the only rule Terra had in her mind about borders: don't disturb the locals. When she did break that rule it meant she was pretty irritated.

Vowing to stay closer to her pack so she would be more in touch with the news after this Terra set off at a trot for the 'new' pack. If she had studied the southern lands more she would have been aware of them, but the treacherous lands of the north called to the troublemaker's soul much more than the peaceful lands surrounding her here did. Crossing the border Terra walked up, touching a tree softly. Beautiful symbols carved across it, though they weren't ones Terra knew. Some words were written, and Terra carefully traced her hands over it, stringing her simple education together to try and understand what it said. The words were too large for the canine who just read words with two syllables at most, leaving Terra to give up.

Everything in this land seemed to have a beauty to it. All kinds of carvings and art filled it. Lovingly Terra ran her hands across each one she found. It was amazing, that while the rest of the land remained in winter's grasp this one seemed to have escaped it entirely, surrounded by the life the drawings made. The sounds of canines soon reached her ears. Slipping into old habits Terra kept out of sight, doing her best to avoid attention. It was difficult to do so on a land that she didn't know, though she believed only a handful spotted the thief.

A small house caught Terra's attention. A dog was digging there, making sharp sticks and driving them through the frozen ground. Curious Terra wandered over. She watched for a few more minutes, keeping quiet, before speaking out. What are you doing? Her green eyes flickered with curiosity as she took in the scents. A cat, some rabbits, the pack all clung to this dog, though the pack was a much fainter scent than the cat.

Bambi hadn't really caught on to the open-borders announcement. While she attended the meeting, she didn't pick up on everything that was said. This happened often during her conversations.. Nana would call it 'selective hearing', meaning that she only picked up on what she wished too. If she would have heard the declaration, she most likely would have been a bit disturbed. Being within packlands made her feel guarded. Protected. The scent that marked the territory of CdA warded off some possible threats; it was as if this formed a invisible sheltering wall around the members within. But with the borders being open, any one could wander in.. Whether their intentions were good or sinister.

When she first saw the female, she couldn't help but be a tad suspicious. At the meeting she had picked up on talk of a pup murderer. But as she wiggled her coal coloured nose, she picked up on a profile of the animal. It was a female, so it couldn't be Liam.. And she didn't even have a trace of white on her body, so it most definitely wasn't Ayasha. The Australian Shepherd breathed a quiet sigh of relief, relaxing her muscles and setting down the stick she had been working on. "Welcome to Cercatori d'Arte, stranger." She called out at the unfamiliar woman once she was of reasonable distance. Before coming here, she never would have dared to speak with a voice of that level of volume. "But I don't have much choice, seeing as Nana can barely even speak for herself now.."

Bambi wasn't surprised that she was confused by her strange behavior. "Heck, I probably would be too.." Seeing a canine sharpen an object then drive them in to the cool Febuary ground couldn't be all that comforting. "Fence, for my rabbits." She simply remarked. "What pack do you come from?" She asked, curiosity rising as she smelt the scent of lands other then her own on the female.

Terra's tail wagged happily at the warm greeting. She loved this pack already, with it's bright welcoming feeling and friendly pack members. Studying the wood the dog was depositing Terra didn't see a fence. Perhaps it was like the barricades Terra created for her traps. Those always had a rather solid feel to them however, with Terra lacking the ability to actually make something from scratch. Her traps were a mix of the debris she found, fitted into a way that suited her better. Using it for rabbits made even less sense.

You're trying to trap some? I could help. Terra had never made a trap for rabbits, specifically, but she had caught prey in her traps before. If she made something on a smaller scale, perhaps that could catch the rabbits. Thinking of the delicious meal this would provide Terra licked her lips happily. If there were rabbits, Terra would happily help catch and eat them.

"Wanna see them, first?" Bambi asked. She wasn't one to turn down help in most situations, and would be thrilled to have a few more of the cotton-tailed critters hanging around. She tugged on the wooden door to the house a few times before having it give way, letting out a long squeaking sound before completely opening. She was careful not to wake her cat.. Especially after looking over to see her sleeping so peacefully. The last few times the black animal had laid to rest she had awoken shortly after, and Bambi wished to allow her to enjoy her short doze while she could. Her questioning of the wolf's origin had been ignored, but she didn't mind. She couldn't really force someone to give her information, so why try?

The dog had only opened the door for a matter of seconds when she saw a brown flash of fur rush past her. Before she ever had time to register what it was, the creature darted through her legs- Knocking her off balance and causing her to take a hard fall. She got up quickly, using her werewolf hands to rub her sore spine before taking off after the animal. Rabbits weren't all that fast, but one could easily outrun a human. And on her two legs, Bambi was just about as slow as one. "Zoom!" She called out. Her voice wasn't all that loud, but it was harsh and threatening. "Get back here!"

She ran after the animal, attempting to follow its' zig zag technique. She had no time to think about how she must appear to the woman that had just recently entered past the border of CdA. At one point she got close to scooping up the animal, but tripped over one of the pieces of wood that she had planned to sharpen.

Hearing the offer to see the rabbits Terra eagerly nodded her head. Her tail wagged behind her as she followed the gentle dog into the house. I'm from Cour des Miracles. Terra noticed the glance into the room where the cat slept curiously. She didn't know what was so important about the cat, as it wasn't food or a threat. Much too small for a threat. The curious smell of feline clinging to the female returned to Terra's mind. There was some kind of connection there. Perhaps they were friends, as strange as that was. At least it made more sense than being friends with food.

The pair stopped before a door. The dog opened it, and a brown streak rushed by. Terra laughed as she was knocked off balance. The desperate scramble that ensued to catch the rabbit had her clutching her sides, almost rolling with laughter. Not that she would do much better. Terra wasn't a hunter, no matter how much she might dream she was. The rabbit rounded the corner, approaching where Terra sat laughing. Seeing food running right towards her Terra reacted instantly, jaws snapping out and closing around the rabbit's neck. She shook it briefly, breaking the neck. With the rabbit dead Terra nudged it softly. Wagging her tail she looked up. Hungry?

Bambi rounded the corner to find that the wolf had caught her experiment. "Oh good-" She stopped suddenly, the smell of blood hitting her like a brick wall. "You killed him!" She howled, throwing her hands in the air out of frustration. "What would you do that for?!" She was louder now, hysterical. While Zoom wasn't her favorite, and could be a bit of a handful, he was supposed to be one of the subjects of her next tests. Plus, she had begun to think of all the cotton tails as her own children.. And this woman had killed it.

"How can you be proud?! Tail wagging and such! Do you know how long it took me to find that damned thing? I needed two, two brown! And now one is dead. This land is infested with white rabbits. But I specifically wanted THAT kind." She went on loudly, causing a bit of commotion. Of course she may have been overreacting a tad.. But she was upset! This creature had marched up on to CdA land like she owned the place, and killed her experiment!

Terra's wagging tail stopped as the dog seemed shocked by the fact that Terra had killed the rabbit. She stared in confusion as she began yelling. Weren't they supposed to eat the rabbit? The panic was completely unfathomable to Terra. Scolding commenced, asking how she could be proud. Terra wasn't a fantastic hunter, so of course she was glad she'd managed to catch such a fat healthy rabbit. Her ears flattened despairingly to her head, tail drooping. Half of what the dog was saying didn't make sense.

Tail tucked underneath her Terra shrunk down. I'm sorry! I didn't know! Why did the fur color matter so much? Complete confusion reigned in her mind. Terra had done something wrong, and she didn't know why that was so. How someone could go from cheerful and happy to raging despair was beyond her small scale of understanding. The rabbits will turn brown in spring! I can catch you one then! Terra knew they turned brown, she'd watched it herself. Catching a rabbit and keeping it alive would be extremely difficult though.

The female had not been too far, residing in Thornbury where most of her pack stayed. She could smell the scent of outsiders, and although for a time it made her uneasy, she was satisfied to know that she could keep track of almost all of them between the four protectors of the pack; herself, the Protettores Taliesin and Sky, and Thomas. The scents of the outsiders blended in with the scents of her own pack and, for the moment, she simply stood in the center of the town, taking in the scene.

She was shaken from her thoughts, however, as an anguished howl sliced the air; she immediately recognized it as Bambi, and began to rush to where the howl had come from. There, in front of Bambi's dwelling, she saw a strange sight - Bambi was staring incredulously and quite upset at another. The other was a tanish color, not of her pack, but smelling of Cour des Miracles. She also had a dead rabbit, its neck neatly snapped.

Skye, in her Optime form, unsheathed her dagger and stood slightly in front of Bambi, prepared to defend her if necessary; her lips curled in a slight snarl. "What is going on here?" she growled gruffly, her tail lashing once and her ears flattened against her skull.

Bambi was glad that Skye had arrived at the time she did- This way she wouldn't do anything stupid. Amusement was shown on her face momentarily as the alphess pulled a dagger. Judging by the way she held it, and her prepared stance, the dog could tell she was no amateur. Returning back to the topic at hand, she answered the woman, her voice more grumpy now than angry. "She killed him. My damned rabbit. He's dead." She said, gesturing towards the bloodied creature laying on the ground.

She couldn't help but feel bad about the way the wolf had apologized. She seemed genuinely sorry, and Bambi had always been a forgiving person. Seeing the fearful positioning and hearing the shaky voice of Terra, she spoke again. "Wait, Skye," She said, touching the shoulder of the alpha gently. "It was an accident." The dog looked up at the CdM member, offering a forgiving smile. "I overreacted." She had composed herself quickly, now speaking softly to try and calm the stranger. "Let's make use of him now that he's gone, huh?" She said.

Terra

Word Count → 000 :: Out of Character text.

Things went from bad to worse as another wolf charged in. This one was much more intimidating, carrying a sharp air of authority with her. A dagger was drawn, bringing a snarl from Terra. Immediately she knew she shouldn't have done that, and she tried to back away the best she could, leaving the rabbit where it was. So much for a nice little visit. Terra had just been a little curious, and instead ended up being yelled at about a rabbit and threatened with a knife. At least it wasn't a bow. Those were a lot harder to escape from.

The soft words of the dog earned a glance of distrust from Terra. She couldn't believe the female had calmed down so calmly after throwing an absolute fit. It was absurd. Wondering if it was a trick Terra shook her head, turning down the rabbit. Shooting both of them a distrustful look she voiced her opinion. You're supposed to eat rabbits, right? Unless this was another strange luperci custom she didn't know about. At this rate she'd have nothing left she was allowed to eat.

Her attention snapped from the Cour des Miracles female in front of her to the rabbit on the floor; she had not known of Bambi's affiliation with the rabbits, but judging from the girl's quiet and kind demeanor, she did not find it odd. It would be like her to have rabbits as pets; and yet, almost immediately after telling Skye what had happened, Bambi told her that it was an accident - and an accident it could have seemed like, as rabbits were not usually kept as pets.

Skye did not back down, however, as Terra snarled at her; snarling loudly back, she saw the girl back away, and saw regret in her eyes. Skye's posture moved from threatening to more relaxed, and with a snort, she sheathed her dagger and stood, still dominant, but less angry. A look of distrust came from the other's eyes, and Skye moved next to Bambi rather than in front of her. Watch your tongue, her eyes said as she glared at the other; she did not care for the tone with which she asked the question.

However, it seemed that Bambi did not mind anymore, and that things were at least well again. "Indeed," she said to the newest member of her pack when she asked if they should make use of them. She then turned to the outsider. "I believe Bambi keeps hers as pets. As Bambi said, it was an accident - no harm done now," she said more kindly, warmth entering her eyes. "As long as things are alright here, I will take my leave - call if anything happens," she said to Bambi, and then turned to walk away.
