+3 tl;dr Salvia and a bunch of other NPCs finish the main barn expansion. She's still inside during this thread if anyone wants to come by. Late evening.

With the addition of the slave, her supplies, and her father’s knowledge, Salvia’s project was almost complete. She had been hesitant to break ground while the earth was frozen, but they had used boiling water and stones to set the borders well enough. Expansions were well underway, with five stalls completed and three remaining half-finished. Larkspur was dealing with one while the slave worked on another, and Salvia had focused her attention on the chicken-coop. She had mimicked the lining of the sheep’s stall but favored thin metal that she overlaid in a diamond-shaped pattern. By the time her father had put the finishing touches on the sixth stall, Salvia had finished her project as well—the front gate was waist-high with wood and above this came the wire-facing. No birds could escape, least of all the noisy chicken that provided eggs.

Salvia and her father moved on to finish up the final stall. They worked well in silence, using the same pattern they had since the beginning. With the slave’s assistance, they finished with hours left of daylight. This pleased Salvia greatly—all of the horses could fit within the building now, though it needed cleaned and straightened up before such a thing could begin. The other rooms, roughly laid out, were still unfinished. However, Miqui joined the trio with Rowan in tow; the woman provided a welcomed respite with a hearty ocean-filled stew, and once the wolves had finished eating, Larkspur had put her to work sweeping up the scraps of wood left behind.

With four strong bodies, work went even faster. By the time twilight fell, they had completed the final large additions; a bleak and empty room for an unassigned slave and the larger pen for the sheep. Rowan, true to her abilities as a maid, had managed to clean and prepare three of them for horses. Salvia thanked the ranked members and suggested they would be able to turn in, leaving her to the duties. Larkspur attempted to argue with her, but even she could see that his energy was not what it once was. After a good-natured fight, she sent him and the others away.

With just enough light left, she herself finished laying out the mixture of dried grass and pine needles that served as bedding for the animals. They had all been fed when Rowan and Miqui arrived, save those that did not live in the stalls. Now that they were more-or less complete, she would be able to bring the rest in—something she had planned for given how heavy the mares were hanging. Any day now they would drop foals, and she wanted stalls ready for such a thing…though this was not what she had accomplished today, having at least some distance between the three mares and the others would be better than nothing.

WC:: 361 - Geh, not my best post, sorry >.< But she finally makes an entrance :3

Charteuse yellow eyes wandered over her surroundings, looking without truly seeing anything. These lands were familiar to her, it was all she could remember and all she knew for the most part, and very little surprised her or caused her to pause and double check. It wasn't as if the thorn lands lacked beauty, but because the charm the territory may have once held on her had long ago worn away, but that didn't mean the girl wished to leave her home; on the contrary, within the familiar territory she felt safe and secure, whilst the would outside of Salsola was scary and dangerous within her young mind. Clutched against her chest, she held tightly onto Rosemary, the brown rag of a rabbit toy had been washed that morning, but it was clear it was long past it's prime time and beyond any form of repair.

Dark tail swaying steadily behind her, she hummed as she padded the lands aimlessly, looking for inspiration for something to draw or do. As the sun began to fall she found herself heading in the general direction of the barns, curious to see how things were going there and if there was anything left to do that she could help with, although she was aware that the slaves were more than adapt at doing the work with direction of a ranked one, she had little to occupy her time and had decided to at least see what she could do, then decided whether to do it. Oblivious to the time, she entered the barns, breathing in the scents of the animals and pulling a face as she adjusted to them. Anyone still in here? she called out softly, only then realising that very few would be around at such an hour. Pushing in further she held the toy closer to her chest, seeking reassurance from the brown teddy. Stepping forward again vibrant eyes fell upon the form of her sister, relief filling the young girl instantly, Salvia she called out, smiling shyly, taking on a slightly submissive stance, eyes lowered in respect to her sister's rank, Everyone already gone for the day then? she asked
