He had failed and he wasn't proud of himself which was usually the case but this was worse. He had taken some time away from the packlands with Blitzen and had stayed away for too long. Sascha felt as though he could kick himself but instead of hiding and fretting over it, he decided to come back. He hoped the leaders would understand and accept him back; he wouldn't know what to do with himself if they rejected him. Besides, the pack wasn't so bad despite the sad memories that were created there.

He rode atop Blitzen, having gotten better at doing so from all the practicing he had done, until he reached the borders. One of the good things about this pack was the marked borders you would have to be dum to miss. The skulls were a dead give away if you couldn't already smell it. He commanded his companion to stop before passing the line, standing a few feet away. During the entire ride, he was holding on with one clawed hand, using the other to hold the sack that hung infront of him. There was a reason behind this, it wasn't like he was desperately trying to hold it even though it could simply hang on him. If it was a sack of simple supplies he may not have cared so much but what he was carrying was something better.

He slid off of Blitzen's back with ease as he made sure the sack, which was pretty much like a baby carrying wrap, was alright. He pulled at the opening to give the inside a look, ruby eyes locking with the golden eyes of the injured osprey he had come across during his travel back. He wasn't good at anything medical but he was sure something was wrong with his wing. He couldn't fly which meant he couldn't hunt. Any other day, he would have just ignored him or even eat him if he was hungry enough but instead there he stood with him in a wrap he managed to make with the plan of nursing him back to health. Perhaps its because the bird reminded him of himself, having a handicap like he had. Speaking of which, because of his handicap he wasn't sure if he would be able to catch anyone's attention. He couldn't howl nor could he just venture in despite the fact that he once was a member. So he stood there with that same scowl on his face, blowing raspberries every now and then, hoping he would be noticed or stumbled upon.

Everyday was a beautiful day, at least in the eyes of the youth. Her sunny personality echoed through even the darkest of times, and she was thankful for herself. If she hadn't such a happy disposition, life might have been harder for her. The beautiful silver and russet pelted female pranced through the lands, a happy smile painted on her maw. She had first set out to go hunting, then it was gathering herbs, and now she was scouting. Or at least, her version of a scout. Her nose was pressed against the ground, smelling old trails of moose, deer and other scents. At one point she had even caught her own scent and laughed out loud, pleased with her investigating.

Deciding to check on the border decor, she flitted through the grasses until gruesome looking skulls were in sight. Just in that moment, another new smell hit her nose and suddenly all senses were on alert mode. Creeping through the tall grasses, she kept herself low and approached the new smell, ears pressed against her skull and a low growl forming in the bottom of her throat. Catching sight of the source of the smell, she suddenly perked up, eyes wide. Well, he didn't LOOK threatening, and he seemed to be waiting at the borders.

Raising a wolfy eyebrow she came into sight, not sure what to think. He must be either wanting to join or maybe a messenger from another pack, but why didn't he say anything? Ducking back into the grass, she took a few moments to shift into optime form as a courtesy to the other. Walking back out into sight, she walked inbetween the border stakes. " What business do you have of Inferni? " She asked, hands placed on silver hips. Her mismatched eyes glittered in the sun as she waiting for a response.

He wasn't sure if he would be noticed at all, being unable to announce his arrival. He could only stand there and wait which shouldn't be too hard for someone surprisingly patient as he was. As he blew raspberries, he gave his albino reindeer a pet as well as eyeing the bird of prey in the wrap he had made from some kind of fabric. The Osprey, which he had yet to name, made sounds at him and Sascha only looked at him with the same expression he would give to anyone. He wasn't sure if he should pet him or not, wondering if he was going to bite him for it. With the short amount of time they had together, which was only about a day, the boy hadn't gained that trust just yet. In fact, the Osprey would even fly away if it could.

He was ready to sit down thinking it would be a while but the fact that he picked up the sight of a pack member. Sascha watched as the other, who was in their Lupus form, jumped into a bush and the boy held his head sideways. He couldn't figure out what she was doing until she reappeared in the optime form. His head returned to normal while he watched her finalize her approach and the nervousness began to grow, feeling the urge to hide present itself more and more with each step she took. Yet he remained still with what little tail was left tucked between his tail and the only movable ear pressed against his skull as he stopped his habit of blowing raspberries.

When she came to a stop and questioned him with a posture that didn't help his nervousness, he listened while he tried his best to display submission even though he probably didn't need too. He already had his ears back and his tail between his legs and that was because of his lack of confidence. Because he couldn't respond with verbal words, he reached into his bag hanging from his shoulder and pulled out is means to communicate. With a pen he scribbled in the book and held it up for her to read, hoping that not only could she read but that he spelled every thing correctly. I was once a member and would like to join again. His English was getting better with practice, he just hoped it was all readable.

Word Count :: 689 Hope you don't mind me jumping in. If it's any consolation, Valkyrie can read...

It had been some time since she had seen the mute Ulrich man. She had bothered the father of the boy several times, wondering if the male had heard from the enigmatic male that Valkyrie had found to be very interesting to communicate with. She was learning a lot from the male, and for him to suddenly leave was a heartbreak for the woman. Of sorts. It was not often that the woman would think of the blood-eyed Ulrich with half of a tail, the other half tied onto the stump, and barely passing off as a normal tail. She had noticed it last time they had seen each other, but she did not ask. She did not ask a lot of questions like she normally did with this man, if only because she had a feeling that she didn't want to know. Her birds were out this afternoon, scouting ahead of her, the only owls ever to really be active during the light. Not only had she trained Hextor to be good in the light, but she had noticed that Muerte, Kesho's owl, was also trained in light-hunting and scouting.

She lazily rode on her horse's back, Freya grunting gently as she trotted along. Valkyrie yawned lightly, for she had been up all morning, and it was getting to be the time where she wanted a midday nap. This thought was interuppted by a smell though, one that was familiar and definitely not to be ignored. In fact, the woman jolted up, and a bright smile came across her maw. She chirped words up to her owls, and they both took off in the direction where the coydog was located. Muerte had the lead on Hex, who would serve as the messenger for Valk, so it was less effortless for her to simply just follow instead of having to track herself. Freya came to a halt and Valkyrie sat tall upon her steed, waiting to see the sign of Hextor.

The birds glided over the trees, and the sharp eyes of the two beasts had come upon the mute Ulrich and his steed, and also with a new addition. The birds sensed the presence of another coywolf, and also the bird that the male had nestled with him. Hextor turned quickly and soared back towards Valkyrie, and he also gave out a call to the woman. Muerte, on the other hand had landed in a close by tree and peered her bright yellow eyes at the two canids. She gave a call out to Sascha, in recognition because she had met him elsewhere, and he should know that the absence of Hextor meant that Valkyrie was on her way.

When Hextor reached Valk, her gamboge eyes were cast towards the sky, looking for that familiar pattern of feathers, and when she did, she jabbed Freya in the sides, and the stout mare was quick to move into a gallop. The giant-eared coywolf had still been getting used to riding the steed, but now that she was more comfortable than she had been, she looked almost natural on top of the fluffy steed. When they came upon the scene, Freya skidded to a halt and Valkyrie quickly jumped from her back. Hextor landed close to Muerte and Freya whinnied softly and started to approach Blitzen to give him a nuzzle in greeting. Valkyrie looked to the coywolf that she hadn't seen before and then to Sascha. She looked like she was looking for answers or something, at least to Valkyrie and she cocked her head towards the other woman. "He can't talk, ya' know?" she started to explain and she looked back at Sascha for a second and then back to the woman. "He used to be part of the clan. He left for a little bit..." she spoke and then finally looked at Sascha to address him. "Ya' comin back to re-join, Sascha?" she asked the male, cocking her head to him, her smile faltering slightly, for she hoped that he had come back to live in Inferni again.

He hoped the other was able to read or this would not go so well. He would have waited that long for someone who couldn't read and then he wouldn't be able to communicate his desire to come back. His frown deepened the more he thought of this and he even shuffled where he stood. Sascha didn't know what to do at this point and his urge to want to hide almost pushed him to do just that. However, it was thanks to a familiar vision that caused him to remain still, ruby eyes moving to the approaching Inferni member. If Sas was normal, he would have smiled but instead the frown became less noticeable than before.

He listened to her talk to the other and he no longer felt the panic of not knowing what to do. He nodded to her question as Blitzen had welcomed the nuzzling, making a pleasant sound in return. IT seemed the albino reindeer made a friend, or was at least in the process of making one if they already weren't. He scribbled on the paper again, confident that the sling holding the bird would be fine. It's good seeing you again. Val. He held it up with one hand for her to see, nodding to confirm the paper. Again, he would smile if it was in his nature. That was something that may never change but life has its way of surprising anyone. There a way to return? He asked curiously, showing her the paper once again. He wasn't sure if he'd be welcomed back or if there was even room. He wondered if is place was still there, with his belongings and everything. He sure hoped so; he'd hate to lose it all since it meant so much to him, especially his and his brother's tail.

Valkyrie was not offended that the male did not smile, for something in his eyes told her that he would if he could. She didn't know what stopped him from smiling, but she did know that since she had known him, he had not smiled, even when she had. His frown was not as deep as it was before though, and she realized this, which meant that he was glad she was here, she supposed. He scribbled on the paper and held it up to her, and she read it. He told her that it was good seeing her again. She smiled and nodded her head to him. "I'm glad you're back." Valkyrie spoke to him, the same smile still on her face. When he went down to scribble again, her gamboge eyes followed the motion and then she read the words once they were held up to her again. She realized his English was getting better. Where did he end up going in his absence?

Valkyrie nodded her head at his question to her. "I was accepted back here a few times before, so I doubt that there isn't a way to return..." she spoke, her voice was unsure though still and she looked towards Zeke's den. "I'd have to ask Zeke still though. I hope he lets you come back in the clan." she spoke, sighing lightly before she lifted her head to the sky and let out a wolfish yowl to their leader, wanting the golden male to come and either accept or deny the return of the once Imaginifer's son.
