She now realized that the clouds she thought had carried her into the sky were in fact waves. She had washed up near Casa di Cavalieri and had spent the past few days in Regner's care. She had only recently learned his name, for she had been drifting in and out of consciousness for far too long. As she had arrived in her lupus form, in it she remained. However, all she wanted to was stretch out in her Optime form and sprawl across the ground. This was the one thing she was able to recall, despite her long stretches of darkness and periods of fragmented understanding. One thing she was definitely aware of was the warmth. No longer were her bones freezing and no longer did it feel as though sharp pine needles were being inserted into her sides. All she was aware of now was warmth and the ache in her joints.

Although she supposed she should thank her kind benefactor, she kept disappearing whenever he arrived. Although she couldn't tell how long she'd been out, the last time she'd been awake, it had been dark outside. Now, with the light peeking in, she could tell that the day was only just beginning. She was happy to be awake to see it since her head felt so foggy and she just wanted to be up and moving around again.
Word Count :: 352 Tayui is in ze Medico office, patient room 2 if you wanted to check the map.

Once again Regner's leg was acting up, it seemed to be doing so more often than not recently, and the elderly hybrid was walking with the aid of his staff, his hefty frame causing a solid retort to sound out each time the wood struck the floor. Regner had been unusually active the last few days; usually there was little for him to do around the fort other than sleep and care for Adelle but for the first time it seemed that his skills as a medic were in demand.

Regner knew little about the woman that he had been caring for the last few days beyond that she had washed up on a beach near the pack and that, whatever had happened to her, she had taken quite the beating.

Still bad as her wounds were Regner was glad to be back on familiar ground compared to Adelle's illness. His time tending to the Broderskab had left him much better equipped to deal with battle wounds than a sick pup. With his movement impaired by his leg it took Regner much longer than he would like to get to the Medico office but he eventually made it there, pushing the door open and proceeding through to the room which housed the wounded wolf.

When he entered the room Regner was surprised to find that the wounded wolf was awake, mixed eyes looking blearily towards the window. " Godt, you are awake." Regner intoned deeply as he entered the room, kicking the door shut with the back of his heel and hanging his cloak up on a hook affixed to the back of the door.

Regner moved closer to the bed and started to glance a critical eye over the wolf, noting that several of the wounds had bled during the night, staining the bandages with spots of red which meant that they would need changing. "How are you feeling? Do you hurt? I have some opium to relieve pain if you wish." Regner questioned the female, getting the most immediate concern of pain out of the way before he started work.
The sound of movement was reason enough for Tayui to tear her eyes away from the window. She wanted to leave and go outside, but she knew that she would need to take her time recovering if she wanted to do that. Even though she refocused her gaze, the movement of her head was minimal. She was quite certain that the strange memories of being carried involved her trying to move and becoming incredibly nauseous from the small movement.

The other canine in the room said something, but his words were sharp and hurt her head. Tayui flinched at the sound, having forgotten he had entered only seconds ago. She hadn't expected him to say anything, so hearing anything made her head ring in pain. She tried to turn away from the sound, but it only made her more nauseous. He kicked the door shut and it sent another sonic wave of pain through her head. Tayui whimpered, trying not to move anymore, but wanting to get far, far away. This canine was very loud and his actions were antipodous* to helping her.

The wolf leaned in and spoke again. Tayui shrunk, trying to escape the sounds. It took her about fifteen seconds before she was able to process what he'd said. Even then, she didn't want to open her mouth and say anything because she knew it would hurt her more. Moreover, she didn't know if she wanted anything. What would opium do to her? She didn't want something bad to happen, but she also didn't want to just lay here in pain.

"I... don't... know," she whispered.
Regner winced when the wounded wolf seemed to flinch away from the noise he made. Regner had been so used to the wolf being unconscious that he had forgotten to be careful of the noise he made. The wolf seemed confused and Regner spoke again, this time keeping his voice to a quiet whisper, "Opium will take away any pain you feel, but it will leave you confused and disorientated, though I have been told that it is somewhat pleasant. If you want some just ask me." Regner quietly bustles around the room, gathering up some of the supplies he had stored there while the wounded wolf was present.

"How is your memory? Can you remember your name? How you were injured?" Regner questioned, still speaking quietly, as he gathered up his equipment. Finally reequipped Regner returned to the bedside, gazing a concenred eye over the wolf's injuries.

"I will need to check the wounds that bled, see how the stitches are," he murmured, gazing at the bandages which were stained red. The bleeding to her skull was hopefully something minor and it wouldn’t be the first time her unconscious movements had opened the stitches on her shoulder if that was indeed what had caused the bleeding there this time. What worried him the most was her neck wound, the positioning of which had made it impossible for him to stitch the wound up and which had been bleeding pretty much freely, with little Regner could do for the wound other than clean it and wrap it tightly.

Regner reached out a hand towards her and then hesitated, realising the woman might be less inclined to have him working over her now that she was awake. "May I?" he questioned gently, gesturing towards the red stained bandaged to make his intentions clear.

Just be careful not to put too much dialogue or actions in one post. It makes replies really disjointed. ^^;

Tayui found herself relaxing into his words as he spoke now that he was whispering. She found that his voice was actually quite nice now that it wasn’t hurting her. She closed her eyes so that she could concentrate on what he was saying rather than drifting in and out of periodic blackness. She replied with a quiet, ‘hmm,’ as she pondered her options. Now that she was awake, she didn’t want to go back to sleep. She wanted to relish this familiar sensation of being conscious and awake. She shook her head ‘no,’ but decided that she would ask for some opium later if the pain got to be too bad. Since she didn’t know that much about drugs nowadays, she wasn’t too comfortable taking them. She didn’t want to fall asleep and never wake up, afterall.

Tayui re-opened her eyes when the wolf spoke again. He fired off questions faster than Tayui could reply, so she just looked at him helplessly for a second. She didn’t know if she could even talk that well, let alone answer all the questions. Steeling herself, she replied: “Fine, Tayui, a fight.” She watched as he moved around the room, busying himself with various objects and tools. Just watching him made her feel restless, but she knew she wouldn’t be able to get up for a few more days – if she was lucky.

He explained his next steps and then reached toward her. He hesitated for a moment and then asked for permission to continue. She was about to nod when she remembered how dizzy it had made her, so instead, she replied: “go ahead.” She shifted slightly, hoping to give him better access to her bandaged shoulder. She didn’t want to get in the way when he was trying to help her.
