[M] Wandering around
#1
OOC: figured I should label it as mature since there is strong language later on.

It was mid afternoon and the weather was absolutely beautiful. She stepped out of the Fort and figured she would explore her new home. Ismeme had just been accepted into Casa only a few days ago. She hadn't been separated from her sister for this long and already missed her dearly. The sun beat down on Isa's silver pelt as she walked around and eventually made it past the borders. Isa kept walking, just wandering around. Maybe she could find something to bring back to Casa.

She found her mind wandering as she walked, not really paying attention to where she was going. Thoughts of the night her parents died flooded into her mind. She growled softly as the image of her father's canines digging into her mother's throat appeared. Isa shook her head, trying to get the image out. She suddenly found herself thinking about Jazper. Isa was a little disappointed that he had a mate but it wasn't unexpected. He was the Sole and a very handsome man, surely he had women all over him. Isa wanted a mate but she would never break up a mated pair. Jazper would never be hers. Her tail drooped at the thought. Why had she already begun to grow attached to him? She barely knew him.

Isa stopped walking and sat down in the grass, trying to clear her mind. She looked up at the cloudless sky and smiled as the sun warmed her coat. She wondered if anyone was around but soon pushed the thought away as she laid on her belly in the grass. She felt completely blissful just laying there with the sun on her back. A smile crossed her face as Jazper once again entered her mind.

OOC Laughs

The night defending the pack against the raiders had been surprising. Hadley had come out unscathed, next to several of his pack mates with more severe injuries. He wished he'd been the one to get injured instead of them, used to receiving such pain. The raiders weren't frightening either. They lacked the dark aura that Amy held around her. On the other hand, Hadley had grown afraid of his own pack members for the first time. The fierceness in them, the way they fought. It was as if she was watching Amy hunt down those who were foolish enough to try and take from her over and over again.

He had stood strong though. Somehow, Hadley had managed help keep the horses protected. The simple defense lessons that Fritz had taught him had come in handy. He was glad that when the time had come he'd been able to help protect the pack instead of simply being a burden. The only bad thing about that night was that a lot of things had been broken. Hadley decided to get some cloth to patch up the areas that had been torn through until they had the time to actually hammer wood over the broken areas. It would be a skillful job when he did, at least he hoped so. Thinking like this he wasn't paying attention to where he was going, and ended up sprawling when he hit something. Face first in the mud Hadley slowly pushed himself up, finding himself facing a beautiful female. Bashful his ears flattened and his tail tucked, wishing it hadn't happened.

Isa was feeling completely at ease as she laid in the grass, relaxing. She didn't hear someone walking by until he completely tripped over her. She let out a yelp in surprise as she looked up at a man beside her.
Baiser!
She quickly stood up and helped up the man she tripped. "I am so sorry!" She brushed off the mud that covered his face. She flattened her ears, feeling ashamed of herself.

Once all the mud was removed from his fur she saw that he was a rather handsome wolf. Her tail began to wag slightly as she looked him over to make sure he wasn't hurt. "I apologize for tripping you sir. I shouldn't have been just laying there." Isa looked him over again, this time checking him out a little. Certain thoughts crossed her mind and she smiled at the man. "I'm Isa. What can I call you stranger?"

The first sharp word that slipped past her lips, even without him understanding it, drew Hadley further into himself. He pulled back slightly, drawing his body down. He should have watched where he was going more carefully. It was rude to offend her so. He might have even splashed mud on her. Hadley flinched slightly as she reached out, tension only slightly eased as he was pulled to his feet. He closed his eyes, ears flattened to his skull as the mud from his face was brushed away. Not satisfied with just that she kept going until his fur was once again relatively clean.

He nodded his head softly at the apology, pausing before shaking his head. N-not your fault. He was the one who should have been paying attention. Of course she wanted to lay out and soak in the sun on such a nice day. It was only natural. It was horrible that he'd interrupted it in such a horrendous way. Hadley. His voice was soft and quiet, the deeper rumblings that came from him subdued by the gentle spirit inside. Shyly his eyes flicked up to see soft blue ones before they dropped to the ground again. Whether or not he had helped fight in the raid Hadley was still a very submissive creature.

Isa saw him pull back when she cursed. He was probably a little jumpy around newcomers. After she cleaned him off she noticed she had a bit of mud on her shoulder and side along with a bit of her back. Isa brushed off the mud on her shoulder and side but couldn't quite reach the mud on her back. It could have been a problem too with the fresh wounds on her back. She didnt want it to get infected and kept trying to reach the mud until she finally gave up and figured she could get it later.

Hadley seemed nice enough, pretty shy though. "It's nice to meet you Hadley." She looked into his dark brown eyes and smiled. He appeared to be about her age. "So what were you doing out here Hadley? You enjoying the weather too?"

Hadley watched as the wolf's attention turned to her own body. Mud was brushed off, causing Hadley to burn with embarrassment. Getting mud all over a lady was so wrong. He should have had more care than that. Hadley was too shy to reach out and help as she got it off, but the struggle to reach her back had him automatically moving around. Used to serving others in such a way Hadley gently brushed the mud from her body. He flinched sympathetically as fresh wounds were uncovered. They must have been from the raid. It was a good thing he'd helped then. An infection would be nasty.

Being addressed Hadley lowered himself again. Isa's eyes probed at his own challengingly, and he gently dropped them to the ground. He didn't want to challenge her in any way. Was looking for cloth...to cover places that need repairs. Maybe he should have started right on actually building the repairs, but Hadley felt that his skill wasn't good enough for that. A temporary cover would at least allow him to take more time so there were less mistakes when he finished. At her mention of the weather the large hybrid looked up. It really was a nice day, something that had gone unnoticed by him.

Hadely noticed Isa struggling to get the dirt from her back and moved around behind her. Gently, he brushed the dirt and mud from her back. Isa flinched and gritted her teeth when his hand brushed up against the fresh wound on her back. She took a deep breath to calm herself and turned to face him again once he was done. Ismeme was grateful to Hadley, an infection on her back would have been horrible. She smiled sweetly to her companion as she stepped closer and licked his muzzle as thanks.

When she spoke to Hadley, he lowered himself and seemed to even be afraid of her. Her ears flattened against her head, upset she had made such a handsome young man act the way he had. Cloth? Repairs? Isa didn't understand the need for cloth or clothing. She had never worn any and had no intention of ever wearing any. "I don't see why others bother with clothing. Its too..constricting" Isa giggled a little and ran her fingertips across his chest and shoulder as she circled him, really checking him out. She playfully nipped his other shoulder as she came around to the other side. With a smirk on her face, she nudged his nose with her own and stepped back.

When she mentioned the weather, looked up to take a look for himself as if he hadn't even noticed the gorgeous day. She smiled and took the tie out of her mane and ran her fingers through the braid to straighten it and let it fall flat against her back. She slid the tie around her wrist and looked back over at Hadley. He was incredibly handsome and Isa knew what she wanted at the moment but was unsure what he wanted. She wouldn't force anything upon him. She smiled sweetly and waited to see if he would do or say anything.

Being licked on the muzzle was startling. Usually only Sebastian and Selene did that to him. His two protectors, the ones he cared for. What was he supposed to think of this? It got even more complicated as she giggled, describing clothing as constricting. That was exactly how Hadley felt, but the way her fingers danced around his chest was so suggestive. It seemed they weren't talking about the same thing anymore. Isa slid behind him, and Hadley craned his head to keep her in sight. She suddenly seemed very dangerous, a siren luring him to his death.

The nip to his shoulder had him pulling away as quickly as he could. To be bit was a terrifying experience for him. None did that to him, knowing the wave of memories it would trigger. The way she touched him so gently before biting him, it was so much like the way Amy had softly smiled before plunging her knife into his flesh. The smirk of confidence made him feel unsteady, wondering what he should do. He could be hurt, or he could be used. Straightening up Hadley recalled that he was free now. He didn't have to do what she wanted him to. I-I'm using the cloth to let me take the time to fix it properly. He avoided her gaze, unsure if the message that he wasn't interested was clear enough.

Hadley quickly pulled away when she nipped his shoulder and she knew she had made a mistake. He seemed to be afraid of her. He straightened up before he spoke and it was clear he wasn't interested. Isa wasn't sure what had come over her. She hadn't even been with a man yet and now she was so ready to give herself to one she just met. Isa had practically thrown herself all over him. She felt completely ashamed of herself. Why did she act like that? She hadn’t ever done that before.

Isa sat down in the grass and lowered her head. "I'm sorry Hadley. I shouldn't have done that." Her ears flattened against her head as she looked up into his dark brown eyes, tears beginning to form in her own. ”I’m so sorry. It wouln’t happen again.” Isa lowered her head again and started speaking in French to herself again.
Ce qui est mauvais avec moi l’enfer? Je ne sais pas encore lui. Je suis agissant comme telle une salope.
She turned her face away from Hadley as a few tears fell. She didn’t want him to see her cry. He would more than likely think she was doing it on purpose to try to get her way.

Surprise filled Hadley's countenance as Isa lowered herself down into the grass. What was she doing now? Her ears were flattened, body screaming submission. It made him feel extremely uncomfortable. He wasn't a naturally dominant creature, and with Amy's training had become even more submissive than he used to be. Having this done before him was very awkward. He looked down at her, a very strange way for him to look at anyone, hearing her apology. It was made even worse as tears began to sparkle in her eyes.

Did he just have bad luck to have all those he met start crying? There were so many he injured by accident, when he really just wanted to protect them and make them happy. Selene cried, the pack worried when he disappeared, he had hurt a complete stranger by sleeping with him. There was so much for him to regret. His ears twisted as she began speaking in another language. It sounded cruel, painful. Hadley didn't know who it was directed at, but he wanted the tears to stop. Gently he lowered himself down. Looking around he spotted an early spring flower. Plucking it he gently passed it over to the crying female.

Isa hated herself for how she had acted towards Hadley. She had never been like that before. She could tell he was feeling uncomfortable when she submitted to him. She never meant for him to feel uncomfortable. Isa began to wonder if there was anything she could do to make it up to Hadley for how she acted. She turned towards him to ask when she saw him lower himself down to the ground as well. She looked up at him surprised as a few remaining tears fell. She would have never expected him to get anywhere near her again after what she did. Her ears stayed back as she watched him, wondering what he was doing.

Hadley looked around; Isa wasn’t sure what he was searching for. Her ears perked up when he handed her a flower. It was the last thing she thought Hadley would do. Her eyes widened as she stared at the flower as the tears stopped falling. Without thinking, Isa wrapped her arms around Hadley in an embrace with the flower in her hand. Once she realized she was probably too close for his comfort, she quickly let go. ”I’m sorry. She didn’t know what to say to him. She had invaded his space yet again. At least that time she wasn’t biting him like she had done before. Isa looked into his eyes, a blank expression on her face as she studied him, trying to figure out what to do.

Isa's ears perked up with the small gift Hadley gave her. Cheered up he watched hesitantly as her tears stopped. It had worked. She wasn't crying anymore. Felling immensely relieved he smiled slightly and leaned back. It seemed she wasn't done panicking him though. Her arms wrapped around his body, pulling him into a tight hug. Immediately he froze, stiff as a board. What was this? What was he supposed to do now? Should he hug her back? Hadley didn't particularly want to do that. Having it ingrained that his only worth was pleasing others Hadley had to resist giving in to old habits and wrapping his arms around her.

Luckily she seemed to understand, quickly releasing him. A sigh of relief slipped past him, and he looked up at Isa shyly. Is okay. He wasn't hurt, just really really shocked by what she'd done. Her actions were all over the place. Hadley just didn't know how to react to it. A blank expression settled over the wolf, leaving the large hybrid to feel very awkward, wondering where to go from here. Quickly he pushed himself up. I should...be getting cloth... Yes, that was right. Hadley didn't leave the pack without a specific task in mind, too nervous to do things that could be considered wrong. It would take a long time for that to fade. Tilting his head he looked at her. C-come along?

Hadley became very stiff when she hugged him. Isa was glad she let him go quickly, she didn’t want him to be uncomfortable. She could tell he didn’t want any form of physical contact. She could have sworn she saw a small smile on his face though when he gave her the flower. He said it was okay but she felt like it wasn’t at the same time. ”I wouln’t touch you anymore Hadley. I know you don’t like it.” Isa looked down, feeling embarrassed for touching him again when he had already made it clear he hated physical contact.

He quickly stood up, wanting to leave to get cloth. She had expected this. No one really seemed to want to be around her for very long besides Adelle but she was a pup too. She probably enjoyed spending time with anyone. The only other members of Casa she had met were Selene, Jazper and now Hadley. She expected him to walk off on his own until he stood in front of her with his head tilted to the side. Hadley asked her to come with him to get cloth. It was a pleasant surprise. Isa nodded and stood, waiting for him to lead the way. Maybe Hadley would end up being her first friend in Casa.

Hadley cocked his head at her words. Did he dislike being touched so much? Looking back he realized that he really didn't, constantly putting distance between himself and others. The constant fear of a stroke turned into a blow was too deeply ingrained in him. The only reason why Selene and Sebastian were allowed to touch him was because it was pointless fighting them off, and they had vowed to never hurt him. The gentle touches they gave him satisfied Hadley to an extent, helping him stop feel so lowly. For so long deprived of kind touches it was no wonder he feared contact with others, only relying on sources he knew to not strike him.

Isa agreed to coming with him, and he gave her a brief smile before it faded back into his usually stoic expression, no emotions besides a slight hesitancy apparent. Setting off Hadley wondered where exactly he was thinking that he could get cloth. He really should have thought about this more carefully before setting out. Well, it would be alright. He was sure they could find something, even if his sense of smell was basically useless. They wandered around for a while before they finally found a small town. The relief at finding a place where cloth might be showed in Hadley's form. Now where to start? He looked around before picking a house that seemed not too badly dilapidated before stepping inside.

Hadley gave her a small smile before he planted the expressionless look he had before, back onto his face. She couldn’t be sure but she felt like the smile had been forced. Perhaps he just felt bad when he saw her crying and was taking pity on her. Isa preferred to be completely ignored rather than be given attention out of pity. She followed Hadley still, giving him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was being sincere.

The two of them wandered around for a while before they stumbled upon a town. It wasn’t very big but Hadley seemed relived to find somewhere he could get cloth. He looked around and walked into one of the houses that was still in decent shape. There wasn’t too much there but Isa did notice some cloth and fabric on the floor along with some furs on the bed. She let Hadley grab whatever he needed first while she looked around. Isa rummaged through a desk and found some paper and other things that would normally be found in a desk. Then something shiny caught her eye. She pulled a small dagger out of one of the desk drawers. It seemed to be in good condition, it was about the length of her wrist to her fingertips and had a black leather hilt. It would need sharpening but other than that it was ready to go. She looked again and noticed that what she had thought was just a bit of cloth or something was actually a sheath. Isa decided to keep both and strapped the sheath onto her thigh and put the dagger in the sheath.

She turned to Hadley as he rummaged around and finally decided to speak up. ”You know I’m not going to hurt you Hadley. That little nip I gave your shoulder earlier is as hard as I bite unless myself, or someone I care about is threatened. And I promise I wouln’t even nip.” She stepped forward and reached out to touch the three scars on his chest but stopped and pulled her hand back. Isa figured he more than likely wouldn’t open up to her or even feel comfortable around her until she opened up to him first. The only one she had told about her life was Adelle and she was a pup looking for a story, it’s different when it’s another adult. She kept debating on whether or not to speak up.

Stepping through the rooms Hadley looked around. There were rags of curtains, but he needed sturdy material for the repairs. This wasn't for clothing to be used so simply. He dug around a fair bit before finding some sturdy material that didn't tear when he tugged on it. He gathered it together and looked around, realizing that he'd forgotten to bring anything with him to pack it in. A few more minutes allowed him to rig up a makeshift bag luckily, and he stuffed the fabric inside. Turning around he found Isa suddenly a lot more dangerous, a dagger strapped to her thigh. Nervously he glanced up, wondering what she was planning.

The female's words would have assured someone with more courage, but Hadley didn't know that she wasn't going to hurt him. All he could do was trust that she wouldn't. The promise not to bite or harm him ever again had him relaxing, tension draining off. Her hand reached out towards him, and Hadley gently reached out to touch her as well. He brushed the outstretched arm before pulling back again, shyly meeting her eyes. Sorry for being so stiff. Not used to not being hurt. It was a lousy excuse, but all he could offer. W-won't flinch again. At least, he'd do his best not to.

Hadley dug around the different types of fabric, probably looking for a certain kind. It was all the same to Isa. It seemed he had found the type he was looking for and fashioned together what seemed to be a makeshift bag and he stuffed the fabric he needed inside. He seemed more nervous once she had the dagger, like he thought she might attack him. Once she mentioned not biting or harming him again he seemed to loosen up, all the tension left his body. She hadn’t meant for him to reach out to her when she did but a small smile crossed her face when his hand brushed her arm before he pulled it back. He met her eyes and seemed to be a little shy. Hadley mentioned the fact that he wasn’t used to being hurt and she sympathized with him. ”I know what you mean.” She said it quietly, more to herself than to Hadley but since he was rather close it was possible that he heard her.

Isa stepped forward again and reached up to trace the scars on his chest as she examined those and the others. She met his eyes with a sad look on her face. ”I would ask what happened but if you’re anything like me you would rather not talk about it.” She kept looking him in the eye as she continued to speak. ”Whatever you went through and whoever did this to you, I am very sorry you had to go through it. If I was able to, I would go back to before it happened and make sure it never did.” She finally turned her heard, breaking eye contact. What she said would probably make him uncomfortable again so she decided it best to step away and give him room.

A soft smile crossed her face at his touch. He was curious to why, but it was nice to see. Her words had him perking up, wondering what she could possibly mean. Looking at the female he noted for the first time the scars on her chest. They seemed to mimic his own, if longer and more to the side than his. While Hadley's marks were clean, deliberate, Isa's were messy, as if done in a fit of rage. Someone had hurt her. It made him sorrowful to see such a thing, and know that he couldn't heal it. The female stepped forward, tracing over his scars.

Hesitantly Hadley reached out his own hand. He touched her scars lightly, not tracing them like she did to his numerous ones. There were so many on his body, though the worst and largest of them was from Amy tormenting him nearly to death. The ones that followed, while still fairly deep and painful, never brought him as close to death as he'd been then. The ones on Isa's body were so different, so angry. He shook his head softly. You're hurt too. She stepped away, and looking at her Hadley realized how much more experienced she seemed with the pain marring his body. Will...p-protect now... If he could, Hadley would keep her from being hurt again. Just like Selene.

OOC: Sorry it's so long, Isa is feeling very talkative.

Hadley hesitantly toughed her own scars lightly as she traced over the three large ones on his chest. She never asked him to or even expected it; he just did it. Once she had stepped back again Hadley told her he would protect her. It took her completely by surprise. She stared at him and nodded. ”I’ll protect you too Hadley.” She hugged him again but not as tight as last time. Isa licked his cheek but not out of affection, as a thank you. She was happy her and Hadley were getting along better now and she knew she truly would protect him with her life. He was both a pack member and she felt a connection with him. They had both gone through a great deal of pain it seemed, given by someone they knew. Neither one seemed to want to talk about their past but since Hadley was willing to protect her, she figured she could trust him and at least try to open up to him.

She looked down and took a deep breath, preparing herself so she could attempt to stay calm. Isa looked up into Hadley’s eyes as she began to talk. ”My father had never been very fond of me. He always made it seem like he hated me and didn’t even want me around. He spoiled my sister and beat me, making sure he never left any marks. It went on till I was a yearling. He was going to take his anger out on me again but mother had had enough.” Isa paused and took a deep breath while holding onto the black crescent moon pendant around her neck. She didn’t want to get angry around Hadley and frighten him again. ”She had protected me and he killed her in front of my sister and myself. I stood there and did nothing as she died in front of me.” She noticed herself becoming angry and sat down on the chair that was next to the desk. She took deep breaths and closed her eyes before she looked back up at Hadley, making sure she wasn’t scaring him. ”My sister and I attacked him. She was blinded in her left eye and I almost was in my right.” She motioned at the part of her silver mane that covered her right eye. ”He gave me the rest of the scars besides the one on my side and back, those were from the raid. My sister was badly hurt as well but we…we ended up killing him.” Isa didn’t know what else to say without either becoming angry or crying again. She looked up at Hadley, hoping he wasn’t scared; but after her story it was very likely he would be.

OOC Laughs

To say that Hadley was uncomfortable with what he'd said would be an understatement. He truly meant it, and would do his best to defend her, but Hadley's fighting skills were almost nil, with no desire to actually harm others in him at all. Feeling her surprised gaze Hadley stared at the floor. Hearing that she would protect him was surprising, having him look up just in time to be caught in another embrace. It was looser this time, and Hadley still felt fairly uncomfortable, but it was better. His cheek was licked and he looked down at Isa wonderingly. She certainly was affectionate for someone he'd just met. Even Selene had taken time to get up the courage to touch him, and he'd been really jumpy about that. At least that part of his life was over, letting him be more at ease when touched, flinching less easily.

Extreme discomfort set in as sharp blue eyes locked onto his brown ones. He wanted to look away, but found himself unable to, as if turning away would mean hurting the female before him. Hearing what had happened Hadley winced sympathetically. At least his family had been kind. The horrors didn't want to stop though, continuing with herself being almost blinded, her mother being murdered, and being forced to kill her own father. The pain and anger of that moment was clearly visible as Isa moved around to sit down. Numbly he listened until the end before stepping over to her, initiating a hug of his own this time. It was awkward and hesitant, large arms wrapped around her body, but it was there. Sorry.
