This thread is launching late, but should actually be dated March 9. x.x

It felt like she had just returned to d’Arte from the festival but already she was on the road again. This time, she set up her favorite communal mare, Spot, with all her tack and gear, but had a special passenger with her. Orin had folded and strapped down a special nest of blankets so the lupus puppy could ride on horseback with her, since she was yet too young to shift and ride easily in Optime. The child was a bundle of energy, twice over because sometimes it felt like she zapped all of Orin’s, and she asked questions along the way about everything. But Orin, ever loving, answered each and every preposterous inquiry, often with an answer twice as ridiculous. Now, though, Orin was getting some much deserved peace and quiet, because Sarian was peacefully passed out beneath the shell of blankets.

The only sounds she heard now were the powerful clopping of the horse’s hooves on the thawing soil and the rustling of the wilderness around her as she walked the creature slowly toward the pack lands. Slow and steady was the pace, for she did not want to tip the young pup out of her little sleeping hovel there on spot’s rump.

Her timing was impeccable! She had arrived exactly on the date she had aimed for; March 9. She was to make a stop by Casa di Cavalieri before making her way up to New Dawn, and had sent word before her to Titania’s lands, but her calling here was meant to be a complete surprise.

With the wind whipping over the landscape and tugging at her tight, vibrant locks, Orin eased Spot to a stop near the borders. There was something fresh and spirited about these lands; it was invigorating. After a moment of soaking in the soul of Casa di Cavalieri, Orin tipped her head back and let out a long howl of greeting.

Jules is in optime form and is all happy that her momma's here.
WHAT IS IN A NAME?

Things had just been strange, from the horrible night when she was rescued by Lorenzo to living in a pack that was full of knights in shining armor like the human books. Nothing seemed to be right, well but for one thing. She was safe, safe where Lorenzo could protect her and keep her happy. That much was true, he really made her happy. He put a slight wag in her emotionless steps, a smile on her expressionless face. If only she could not show fear to him every time he made a sudden movement that resembled the blue eyed man.

The girl shook her head, unsure of what her feeling were. She wanted him, wanted him to be by her side. To never leave and never look at anyone the way he looked at her but what did that mean? She was his flower and he was her knight but what did that really mean? Was that the way her mother and father once felt towards each other? Was that what they called the funny word in her books, love? She never understood it.

Again she shook her head as she ventured out of her joint room with her knight, well after the okay. She was feeling trapped in there lately and needed to see color and day light a bit more. Like a flower she needed her light, she need to look at the dun to feel refreshed every now and then. And after all it was her birthday; a soft smile came and faded from her face as soon as it appeared. A natural sign that she was getting back to her normal self, even if it was rather slowly and painfully.

What caused her to jump was a sudden howl breaking the silence of her moment to herself, her ears pinned against her head as a defense mechanism. Something was familiar about that howl. Then it struck her like a bolt of lightning, it was her mother. A slight wag formed though quickly faded as she looked around to see if anyone was around to answer it, she also looked for Lorenzo but she sighed and started to walk cautiously towards the border of her safety net.

Her ears remained against her skull as she brushed her hair out of her face before seeing her mother. As if her feet her caught on fire she sprinted to her mother’s horse, ignoring any danger that may be lurking around the outside of her new pack. A quick yip of happiness escaped her but was only occupanied by her emotionless voice. ”Momma!” She barked though it was emotionless, her ears finally peeling off of her head to show she was exited. She stood by Stop awaiting her mother to climb off of the horse so she could hug her.

It wasn’t long before a creamy figure appeared against the serene landscape of Casa di Cavalieri, and there was no doubt in Orin’s mind that it was her own daughter come to greet her. Her heart skipped a beat and all of her features lit up in that moment. “Juliet!” She called out mirthfully.

Juliet didn’t even have to close all the space on her own. Forgetting about Spot and Sarian for a moment, she swung her leg over the saddle and smoothly slid off of horseback. She hit the ground running, her thin white form darting over the terrain to meet Juliet. Spot, the mare, watched her for just a moment before deciding that grazing was a much more appealing idea.

“Juliet!” she cried again, arms open wide as she snatched her daughter up in a tight hug. She didn’t let go, couldn’t, and wouldn’t. Twisting happily for a moment, she finally leaned back just a bit so she could look her daughter over, and then meet her eyes, but she didn’t take her arms off her shoulders for a minute. “Look at you, look at you! You’re growing up.” She played with Juliet’s hair for a moment, running her fingers through the curly locks. Both of her daughters had inherited the same beautiful cinnamon hair. It reminded her of their father… a man who she hadn’t seen in a long time, and worried about.

“My lily, I just had to come see you today. Do you know what day it is?” she knew Titania probably didn’t, because her people didn’t care for the inventions of human. But, though in touch with her wolfish side, Orin did appreciate many aspects of the old human cultures; and so she tracked the days. Did they follow the calendar here in Casa di Cavalieri?
