She made her way to the western side of New Dawn leaving behind the pack and her mate for now. It felt like Nova Scotia got bigger and she wanted to get the lay of the land and what lay within it. She traveled a good distance but nothing a good healthy run wouldn't out due. The morning had came and gone, now the sun was almost entirely in the middle of the sky, but she didn't worry about that. She knew she'd make it back by dark, well that was her plan. She knew Ookami wouldn't like her being away from him that long. A whole day would surely be too much on her as well. She loved being around her mate, and being around him a lot was her goal. Perhaps being away from him so much she had developed a more independent exploring need than she had when she first came to these lands. Either way, she had to fulfill her need to figure out where everything was. As she moved she burned a mental image of how everything smelled, tasted, and appeared. She didn't have the best memory, but as things came she would remember them.

Adonia had traveled nearly twenty miles and now decided to rest, it was almost a shame to slow down her pace to a mere slow walk. But her eyes came upon an interesting town, her resting pace turned into a trot and bound as she moved toward a street, or what once was a beautiful street. She had to watch her step a few time as the street seemed to rise and fall with the breaking of a large tree root. It was like a test of agility for her as she leaped over. She then resumed a slow pace, if not slower as she lifted her head looking up and around at the beautiful structures. She spotted a few trucks and cars, she had seen them before, but this time she had more time to actually examine them further. Her mind recalled asking her father a few times what they were, but he never seemed to care, or want to answer her. 'They're man's creation' He said. Adonia soon realized that some species spoke differently about the humans that roamed. Dogs called them masters, gods, or just human. Wolves though seemed to call them 'man' and the way the spoke of them usually was in disgust. She knew little of their history, but she was wondering if she could find something about them and the way they interacted with the canines before their destruction.

Stepping away from a car, she noted the wheels, then she remembered that one time a pack came to PV, and they had a wagon. The wagon had different wheels, they were made of wood. These though had a much different material. Perhaps it was like a wagon, but nothing pulled it. Her curiosity for the thing was peeking and so she felt to examine it more she needed to be in her Optime form. The transformation began.

Amy had returned from her trip to get the exotic goods that had been requested, and came back prepared for spring. Spring meant pups, fruit, flowers, and the whole world returning to life. In her wagon were packed all kinds of herbs that were good to help with pregnancy and labor, lighter materials for the summer heat, and a menagerie of animals. Raoth had been hard put dealing with them all, each time they acted out of hand being punished. Even worse, the animals were not to be abused as they were goods to sell, and no one would want hard worn animals.

Clicking her tongue she guided the horse through the streets of the town. Her path had to be chosen with care, the wagon trundling through the large spaces, bumping over the debris. The narrower areas that were blocked by cars or other such items had to be avoided. A large racket followed Amy's presence, the presence of spring in the air causing the horses to kick up a fuss, neighing and trotting lightly through the streets. Her own horse was thankfully silent, spirits shattered beyond repair. The young birds were noisy as well, fresh born and with wings just preparing to help them fly.

She had finished her transformation and was now working on opening the front passenger door, finding it thankfully unlocked...not that she knew these things locked. It was interesting inside, lots of compartments and there were keys dangling in the ignition, but again, something she didn't know of..ignition. She opened the glove compartment seeing papers and a manual. Her mother had taught her how to read despite her fathers disapproval, so she lightly opened the old pages and had begun to read. She was amazed at the information that the book had. Everything one could ever want to know. So, people rode in these, that she could figure out just by the fact some canines used wagons.

It wasn't too long from the thought that she began to hear the neighing and fussing of horses and the sound of a wagon and hoof-steps. Her ears perked and she came out of the passenger seat of the car. Her head turned to the direction the sound was coming from and she walked slowly around the corner peering around an old Victorian style building. Her nose lifted to the air as she drew in the scent of the woman who drove the wagon. The sounds of the young birds added to the noise pollution. The woman must be a merchant of sorts. Another thing she noted was her attire. Another canine that chose to where clothing. Adonia was more a naturalist, but sometimes wondered if she herself should where clothing. She looked at her 'nude' self, then back to the woman on the wagon as she navigated the slowly reclaimed pavement.

Adonia thought for a moment about going back to the car, and it was just then she realized she still had the manual in her right hand. Maybe the wagon woman knew about these cars. Adonia almost wondered if she could get it working again. Typically she never cared for human relics, but something about getting it to work again seemed exciting. Maybe she could drive it, her eyes looked back over the various wheeled relics, spotting a large SUV, the front said Jeep on it. The look of it made her wonder if it would be great to take off the pavement and into the woods. Somehow the image of taking it through the rugged lands excited her. Fun. A large grin came to her, and she quickly looked back to the noise polluted wagon. "Hey!" She said boldly out loud hoping the woman would notice her as she waved her left arm in the air.

It was a very stupid move, and it suddenly hit her. What if this woman wasn't a 'friendly'!? It was mainly males she feared..but females could be dangerous too..

Amy pulled her horse to a stop sharply as a wolf bounded over, grinning like a fool and waving her arm around. She glared at the fool who had gotten between her and getting home before realizing that it had been on purpose to get her attention. The wolf must have realized she was a trader, pulling her over to discuss such a thing. Immediately her features smoothed over, becoming more welcome. Raoth ducked his head out from behind the wagon, peering curiously at them. A horse reached over, nipping his shoulder. He swatted it away, wishing deeply that Amy had someone else who could care for the various animals they'd ended up with. At least he wasn't caring for the kittens.

Amy stepped away from the horse's head, approaching the other cheerfully. Her hips swayed with her movements, confident and strong. It was hard to see why not. She was not only a beautiful creature, but also armed to the teeth. Throwing knives sat in a pouch on her hip, along with her short sword. Daggers were strapped to her legs, and Amy didn't even need them, able to take out an opponent with just her hands and teeth. Can I help you?

At first Adonia almost regretted bothering the merchant woman, but the expression on the merchant changed and she smiled back as she stopped her wagon and got down from it. Adonia didn't notice the other in the back, but she could tell that the scent the woman carried showed she had been around many others and there was a dominant scent among the other scent indicating that there had to be another, but it seemed friendly enough for now. Her tail gave a light wag and she nodded to the woman's inquiry, "Um, yes, I actually have one main question that I'm not sure if the answer is readily with you, but I also wouldn't mind taking a look at the goods you carry. First though, do you know how to get one of these large metal...um.." She took a quick look through the manual hoping it would tell her the answer to what they were called. One word seemed to keep popping out, "Vehicle." She said reading it out loud, then she looked up to the slightly erotic looking merchant, "Do you have any idea or perhaps, have something that could get it working?" Her eyes looked at her and she had a feeling that she may not have the answers she sought.

Still even if she didn't she knew that she had thought about having a companion. She could look at what this woman had, maybe she could relocate her another time with some trade items. Those items were most likely back in Ichika. Sooner or later she would have to go there and ask permission to go in her old home and pick through her belongings.

Amy was surprised that this was a wolf hunting for knowledge. Her expression managed to keep this hidden, though she wondered what this wild looking wolf could want from her. Amy nodded sweetly as it was said that the goods would be looked at after the question was answered. Patiently she waited for the question to be given. To say that she was surprised now would be an understatement. A flicker showed in her eyes at the words.

I don't have the items needed to repair it. I'm sure if you examine it you would find a clue though. Perhaps a key or the like. Humans were rather fond of making things that only opened to a key. Amy surmised they must have been a rather submissive bunch to be so afraid of their stuff being taken. Amy needed no such protection, able to take care of her stuff herself without any locks. That's about all. I should warn you, they're useless. Don't work unless they have a road to run on, if you can get them to work at all.

Adonia found what she said useful, but she looked back to the vehicle she got the manual from. Perhaps each one had a manual. "Well...thank you." She looked back up to the merchant and decided she would find out where she actually tended to keep shop at, it would be good to know, "..do you have a shop? Or are you a traveling merchant?" Her ears perked, "I wish I had come prepared, but I was actually just exploring. I know I would be interesting in some type of companion. What creatures do you have that would make a good companion?" She thought she would be straight to a point not wanting to beat around the bush to what she has, and what she wants. "I figured, I would have to go to Ichika, my old pack, and get what payment or trade would be best for the product I would like." She let her ears go back, "I have alcohol and a few med supplies I can do without..."

She felt bad, but she hoped the merchant would be understanding.

Amy didn't consider the information she'd given particularly useful, though she had certainly saved the wolf hours of frustration slaving over the thing trying to figure out how to get it to start. That was worth something. Perhaps Amy could extract payment for the time saved. Amy hummed softly to herself, thinking about what hours of time were worth. Perhaps a few pelts, or herbs. She could get the wolf to travel with her for a few days and provide food for her.

Amy looked at the wolf as she was questioned. Softly Amy nodded her head. I'm a traveling merchant. I go where the trade is. It was the only way to live, really. Amy wouldn't be happy just staying in one place and waiting for others to come to her. Someone else could steal her business that way. She had to be the best. Amy smiled warmly at the wolf's apology. It's alright if you don't have anything right now. I'll just claim a favor from you in exchange for your purchase. Favors can always be used.

Amy snapped her fingers, and Raoth came forwards, grumbling as he carried the young birds forward. Rope was tied to their legs, wings left unclipped. Amy took the lynx kittens from him, settling them down. She turned back to the wolf to explain. This one's an eagle, the other two are hawks. I also have some horses if you're interested. The birds are young, so they'll imprint on you and follow your commands. The horses are broke to ride.

Adonia could almost see the wheels behind the merchant woman's eyes turn, then she spoke of her shop being a traveling type. That was a little frustrating, but it had been sometime since she had seen one. Back in Europe they seemed to be everywhere. Her father used to get simple things from them, one time being pelts for winter. She was perked by the fact Amy said it was okay that she hadn't any payment, but favors would be okay. What kind of favors? Adonia didn't have a wide skill set. She was good at art, and she was okay at hunting, but it wasn't her strongest suit. Amy called for her male companion, and he brought forth the various companions. For a moment her mind was distracted as she saw the lynx kittens. They looked so sweet, but she knew how nasty they could be..at least the completely wild ones who only knew low speech. Her eyes were then drawn to the birds. An eagle was just as good as a hawk, but which would best suit her. She found herself looking over the hawks and she then looked up to the merchant, first before she got herself attached and before she asked about the merchandise..as that was what they were right now, she wanted to find out what kind of favor she had in mind. Surely, this woman had something in mind, "...what kind of favor were you needing?" Her two-toned eyes met the woman's for the first time.

Adonia was strictly business right now, and it wasn't often this side of her came out, but she was completely calm and oddly confident. She knew that if she wanted one of the birds, this was most likely the only time. She didn't come this far north often...let alone it was her first time. She wasn't sure if she would do it again, though, the jeep would probably be the only reason for her to come here again. That wouldn't mean she would run into her again. She had to settle on a payment method, and she had to figure which bird would best suit her.

Amy's comment about the horses was ignored, so she assumed that a horse wasn't the kind of pet the stranger was looking for. The kittens were watched for a moment, prompting words from Amy. These were ordered by a customer. I specialize in delivering whatever is asked of me, no matter how difficult it is to seize. If there's an animal you would like that I don't have I can make a trip to get it for you, and take my payment when I arrive with the animal. Foxes, bears, cats of all kinds. I can get them all. All one needed to do was ask.

Intensely the birds were studied. The eagle puffed up it's feathers, flicking it's head curiously under the gaze. The two hawks were a lot more difficult. They huddled together, grooming each other's feathers, a predatory gaze fixed on the wolf that watched them. They were friendlier than the fierce eagle, but much more nervous around new canines. Asked what the price would be Amy crossed her arms, considering it carefully. You could escort me to my pack and provide food for me during the trip.

Ic:

Her eyes looked up from the birds and took interest in what the woman had said about her sales and products. That was good to know. If there was something she wanted, the woman could surely get it. Then her eyes went back to the birds. She liked how the eagle behaved, it amused her. The hawks though, they seemed skittish..she wondered if training would be hard. Still, the eagle seemed interesting. Her eyes looked back up to the woman, she smiled, "I can do that..." Her eyes went back down to the birds and she asked, "..what kind of eagle and what kind of hawks are these?" She was curious the breed, maybe it could be significant. She was sure she could find a book on them if she knew what they were. It would help, and Adonia loved to be knowledgeable about things she had, and if she chose the eagle, or chose the hawk..well, that would be nice to know what he/she was.

Another thing entered her mind, where was her pack, what pack was she from? Adonia could tell the woman was with more than just the male there..who seemed awfully quiet in her opinion, but she wouldn't question her employee. "..what, uh, what pack are you from?" She felt a little foolish, Adonia wasn't familiar with many packs. Really, she only had known Phoenix Valley..well Ichika.

It appeared this wolf was smarter than she'd first seemed, actually asking questions that would help her make a wise choice. It didn't mean that she would get a good price for it or anything, just that the wolf would actually make a choice she wouldn't regret. It's a golden eagle. They're loners, but excellent hunting partners, and very protective. The other two are red-tailed hawks. They tend to bond to a master for life. Very good for catching fast prey. Amy wasn't sure what she was looking for in the birds, so she just told the wolf exactly what she knew about them, which wasn't much.

Asked what pack she was from Amy shrugged lightly. The pack didn't really matter in this situation, since it was a straightforward trade. Well, there was no harm in telling. Anathema. She was a relatively new member, and didn't interact with her pack much, preferring life on the road and her own privacy. It might change with time, but that was fairly unlikely. It's much better to just wait for me to pass through again if you want another trade. I'll probably be coming through here in two weeks.

She had peeked interest at the information regarding the birds. She also thought more about how she can order stuff in. The golden eagle really had her, but the red-tails definitely sounded more up her ally. Her ears went back at the frustration of trying to choose. She listened more to the woman, ears going forward once more. Anathema, she hadn't heard of it, but it sounded like an interesting name for a pack. She wondered how that name was thought up, and what meaning it had. The thought of being able to talk to her again was something Adonia really wanted. She seemed like someone Adonia could trade with often, maybe even get to know. Especially, if there was a possibility of her assisting Adonia in the vehicles.

Her attention was brought back to the birds and her ears went back, "..well..I would really like the golden eagle, especially if there is a chance that it is male..I wouldn't want a broody bird..I know how birds can become broody and I don't know if I could deal with that. I know birds can become quite moody during that time. I've heard male birds are easier to work with, even though they are not as aggressive." She looked to the eaglet hoping it was a male. If so, that would seal the deal for her and she would help the woman travel to Anathema.

Amy smiled at the female's statement. That was perfect. Amy lifted the young bird up, turning it to display that it was indeed male. You're lucky I decided that dealing with a female would be too difficult. It's male. My name's Amy Sunders. Consider the bird yours. Amy passed it over, letting it climb up it's new owner's shoulder. With that out of the way Amy turned and passed the birds and kits back over to Raoth. The coyote took them, face in a grimace as he returned to his current duty of caring for them.

Humming happily Amy checked over everything in the wagon, making sure it was secure for travel. Assured that they would be able to pass through without much trouble Amy moved to the head of the horse. Grasping the bridle Amy clicked softly. The horse stepped forward, and they began to move. Glancing over her shoulder she indicated for the wolf to go ahead, working as a scout to make sure the path was clear.

She was excited when the bird was seen as a male and was handed to her, her heart leaped. She held the little baby in her hands eyes lit up and then it climbed up to her shoulder. Adonia was so grateful and her eyes looked from the corners of her eyes, where she was watching her new friend, to Amy. A large smile spread on her face, "I'm so glad, and thank you so much!" The wolfdog watched her as she handed the other critters back to her travel companion then get back on the wagon. She then knew now she was in debt, and figured she would come back to the city once her debt was paid to work upon the truck she saw. Also, she realized that she had to do some training with her new friend...who she also needed to name.
