Word Count → 386 :: OOC

Life as an Omega proved to be easy enough for Cerberus. For the most part, it consisted of him staying out of the way of others, keeping close to the center of the pack lands, and snatching up a meal or two when his mangled leg would permit it. And he was okay with this, because he preferred the rest while healing from his run-in with the bear. However, while his body was healing quickly, his heart was taking its time to mend. He wasn’t sure if he would ever really be able to forget what had happened in the forest with Blind, but he tried to find solace in the fact that she might be frolicking in the heavens with Geoff right now instead of limping along in silence here on Earth. That was the only thought that seemed to keep his head above the proverbial waters of despair.

That afternoon, Cerberus found himself lounging a few yards away from the dens as he usually did. He wasn’t entirely sure how to act around others, being the lowest ranking wolf in the pack. It seemed awfully tiring – and somewhat foolish – to crumple into a bow of submission every time another wolf passed him, so he made a point of staying away from others for the most part. Fortunately for him, this also proved to be a good method for avoiding the explanation of his disappearance and Blind’s untimely death, which is exactly what he wanted. So in a way, yes, being an Omega was wonderful. He could deal with his need for attention later.

Basking in the sun, Ceri’s eyelids lulled halfway shut as the herbs he’d dug up for his pain began to take their toll on him. It was these moments that he truly counted on to keep him from curling up in a ball and whimpering like a pup. He hated pain, and any excuse to drive it away was wonderful to him. So as he reveled in the way the sun warmed his fur and soothed the stinging in his wounds, his mind finally wandered to more pleasant places instead of those surfaced by the annoyance of physical weakness. For the first time in almost a month he could say he was truly happy again, succumbed to the numbness of forgetfulness.

Word Count → 270 :: Playful Titania is playful!

Their first meeting hadn’t exactly been what you would call ideal for either Alpha or Omega, but Titania’s anger at Cerberus fell quickly to the wayside after that. After all, the wolf hadn’t abandoned New Dawn, and the circumstances of his disappearance were corroborated by his healing wounds. The fact that she had found him with Insomnia while the girl was in heat was nothing more than coincidence, and in fact both Cerberus and Insomnia had done well in exercising self control. After the initial fury abated, Titania knew the two hadn’t done anything to betray the pack.

Still, Cerberus had acted irresponsibly and that mistake had caused one of their pack sisters her life. He hadn’t acted maliciously, no, but still he must learn from his mistake. This was her primary reason for naming Cerberus the Omega wolf. Luckily for Cerberus, everyone knew Titania loved her Omega.

“Grraahh!” She yelled triumphantly as she sprang from the foliage behind Cerberus, pouncing on the half sleeping Omega. Her growls were nothing more than playful, her tail lashing unevenly in the air as she stood over Cerberus. She opened her jaws and aimed for Cerberus’s ear, and if the Omega didn’t move she would be intent to chew gently on the appendage for a moment. Of course, it was all in play, so she wasn’t trying to hurt him, but it was entirely possible for the frisky Alphess to accidentally irritate one of his healing wounds.

“I don’t know what you think you’re doing laying around like this,” she said with a giggle. “I didn’t recruit a throw rug for an Omega.”

Word Count → 000 :: Haha Cerberus: "What's going on??? O.o"

The herbs had finally taken their toll on Cerberus and shooed any amount of pain he'd been feeling away, leaving him with only a pleasant numbness that made his body tingle. He resolved that, now, he could probably squeeze in a good nap before dinnertime, and that's exactly what he planned to do. That is, until a very enthusiastic alphess came leaping from the bushes to land on top of the coywolf.

With a yelp and a failed attempt at scrambling away, Cerberus crouched wide-eyed beneath Titania as she pinned him down and proceeded to gnaw on his unaffected ear, while batting the air around them with her bushy tail. His mind scrambled a mile a minute with questions: 'Should I shove her off and bow to her?' 'Should I respond to her attack with wrestling?' 'Could I get in trouble for not doing either?' Cerberus blinked away the frantic questions, finally shying away from the she-wolf once she released his ear and playfully scolded him for lazing around. I...I'm sorry a-alphess, he stammered, scrambling to his feet, I was only resting. Once his tattered body faced hers, Cerberus drew back his ears and tucked his tail, lowering his body until his ivory belly touched the ground. Luckily for him he wasn't hurt, just terribly...terribly confused - this couldn't possibly be the same alphess that had nearly ripped his head off the other day. Had something happened to make her see him so differently? Or was he perhaps already asleep, and dreaming that this was happening? Oh, he truly hoped it wasn't the latter...Zalen would kill him if he found out.

Swallowing the nearly-visible lump in his throat, Cerberus shifted his weight so his stance looked a little less like a cowering whelp and a little more like a chivalrous bow. It had been quite a while since he'd played with anyone, but his instincts were quickly surfacing and he found himself struggling to suppress the urge to pounce on the alphess now that he was free. With a somewhat nervous twitch of his bottle-brush tail, he cleared his throat and glanced up at Titania's shoulders. What...what would you have me do, Alphess? he asked.

Titania

Moonsong

Word Count → 200+ :: Feel free to throw in random obstacle/happenstance/whatnots.

The Pariah-Omega wriggled beneath her for a moment and she felt the wolf go rigid. Titania knew that her sneak attack might leave him stunned as to just what was going on, and the hesitation in his response was perfectly acceptable for his station. However, Titania didn’t care about that right now. She just wanted the lazy lump-wolf to get up and play with her. She was excited for a moment when he skittered out from underneath her, but to her dismay it was only a retreat, not to engage in her game. When he turned to face her her whole body swayed with the wagging of her tail, but the movement soon stopped when he tucked his tail and dropped his head.

She snorted and shook her head when he apologized. “No!” it was more of a bark than language. “If you moved that fast just now then you’ve had enough rest.” She quipped, her voice light and airy; playful.

Her mismatched forepaws beat the ground, hopping and stomping in the universal canine sign language for play. She pranced toward him and bumped right into him like she hadn’t even seen him there, then whipped around (her tail curled in the air might even swat him in the face) and leapt a few feet away.

“I would have you catch me! Or are you not fast enough?” she teased over her shoulder, waited a moment to see if he was going to take the bait, and then lunged forward into the trees.

Word Count → 283 :: OOC here.

Cerberus was rendered speechless by the alphess’ behavior, but intrigued nonetheless. However, while he wanted very much to play with her – to wrestle with an alpha would be an honor! – he couldn’t help but wonder if he was really allowed to. She was mated to the other alpha, after all. Would he approve of it?

At the persuading and taunting from Titania, Cerberus discarded his worries and lowered into a playful bow to match hers. However tentatively, his tail swayed behind him as well, although swishing at a lower position than that of his leader. Then, in the blink of an eye, the she-wolf tore off across pack lands and disappeared into the forest, leaving Ceri staring wide-eyed in her direction.

Blinking the stupor from his face, the coywolf tensed his muscles and bounded after her, yipping in their wolfish language that he was coming for her. As he ran, he allowed himself to relax to the point of no longer flattening his ears or tucking his tail, but simply keeping low to the ground and even smiling a bit. He reasoned that if the alphess had invited him to play, then she didn’t expect him to remain submissive and sniveling before her. SHE wanted to play with HIM – what a thought! Chuckling softly to himself, Cerberus continued to follow the fae through the woods until a flash of white and scarlet caught his eye, and he smiled devilishly as he hushed his pawsteps and strayed from her path to circle her. As he neared Titania, he ducked behind a bush and waited until she passed, finally leaping from his cover with a mighty growl as he aimed to pounce on her: RAAAH!
