ooc: This thread takes place after the SL/INH conflict and exchange, as well as Kiara's puppy shower. Just a little something for the Ichika's to gather without the worry of a formal meeting and to assess the spirits of the pack as a whole. There is no posting order. Was given permission to reference/play Sophie and Boothe.

Since the end of winter to the first touch of spring, the ease one was meant to feel eluded the grasp of the Nomad female. Other things tended to fill her paws when she would rather they be opened and welcoming to the gentle touch of the first flower of spring or caress the soft blades of grass that strove to touch the light of the radiant sun. But her paws were weighted with responsibility, with urgency, calloused and bruised by the countless times she struck the ground or the bark of a tree in frustration in the futile attempts to abate the coming anger she felt. But such treatement only served to damaged her weathered paws, leaving them scarred and tattered, numb to the gentle blades and the soft flora petals. In due time, she wanted them to feel again and be soothed by the natural caress. But for now, she could pretend to feel until she truly could again.

She set out in the afternoon light upon the umber roots that held this weathered autumn tree together. Without reason other than to just revel in the spring light, she proceeded out into the vast sun-warmed valley accompanied by a duo of small feet pattering after her lengthy strides. If there had been a true joy to be found in these weary days, it was the presence of these two souls. Since thier occupation in the Wentworth den, there was hardly a dull moment to be had. Their opposing personalities and show of love for the other always brought a smile to her face when she felt the weight of worry was too heavy to bring the crest to her lips. Their energy made her happy, their smiles warmed her heart. And time and time again, she found herself wishing for a brood of her own to love and to coddle as she poured her affections into them and made the little wandering pair part of this patchwork family.

By the third snag of her mane the she-wolf finally made a motion to stop in the Valley and gave her attention to the rambuntious duo already circling her large form. Their impatience was evident and it ws her own fault for bringing it about. She had promised them a day out to see the lands to their fullest, but also to be aquainted with the pack. While it was a harmless request the reservations had by the she-wolf was all too apparent even when she agreed to their wants. When distance and misfortune was not a part of this pack's life, it perhaps would have been easier for her to comply on a whim without an indepth venture into the consequences of these innocent actions. Would any come to the call of the Nomad? Whom else would she not see cross these lands? Had the chasm made any efforts to close, or rather... had she made any attempts to close it at all?

The dual octaves of impatient whines pulled the golden Nomad from her thoughts to the pair staring expectantly at her auburn veiled visage. And like always, her minor distress was dispelled looking at their eager little faces. Lifting her muzzle she raised a call to the listening ears of Ichika with an invitation to gather on this lovely spring day.

On the bright day of spring Dalgina was in heaven. The world was raining colors, green and blue and yellow and red and purple all poking through the white that used to blanket her world. Green stuff was growing on the trees, much to her delight, bringing the brown guardians to life. They looked a lot more like the tree that had been carved for her now. Joy flooded her at this new bright world, sending the puppy out to dive through it, plunging and laughing as she darted around.

She stopped at the sound of the call, ears pricked forward eagerly. Dropping what she was doing the rapidly growing pup raced over the ground. Barking with delight Dalgina began her descent towards the leader, wondering what fun stuff would be happening today. She paused before she slammed full force into X'yrin, looking at the two new pups sitting near her leader. They looked much the same, except for the size difference. Curiously Dalgina sniffed at them, noting her leader's scent. Wide eyed she looked up. You were pregnant?

Gone from him for now was the striking pain of his broken shoulder. But the dull ache still lingered within it, reminding him to still take it slower than he normally would. His form beat along the worn path he always took around the borders. He had let X’y remain with the two very energetic puppies, knowing it did her a lot of good to be around them, while he did the normal day to day duties around the pack. Saluce didn’t quite like doing it while they had the two visitors with them, finding joy in being around them himself. So his trip was done very much in as much haste as he could muster without sacrificing the quality of his work.

Long limbs carried him off the mountain trails once his work was finally sort of done; he had in the end taken a short cut, his urge to be near his mate and the two puppies way too much for his improving mood. He trotted briskly, hearing her call it only made his urge to join her worse, as his blues heading off in her direction.

He arrived it seemed late, as Dalgina had already made her presence known but he wouldn’t be upstaged, his form slid down and to her, rubbing his side along hers in an all to possessive rub. His tongue lashed out to grace her muzzle when he was finished rubbing across her. Saluce danced in place for a few moments before yipping to her as if to ask what was going on, his tail wagging behind him. Blues didn’t take long to spy the two young siblings behind her, his lips curling into a smile as the cute duo, as he slinked back along her form, again making sure to rub against her and attend to the two somewhat bored looking pups.

ooc:

If ever her voice rang out for a gathering, she could count on the elated face of Dalgina to come bounding forward to take part. Her warmth for the little one was radiant in her loving smile and broadened still as little Sophie shuffled over to inquire about the little dark pup. And the child’s innocence never ceased to amaze her, but was quite shocking to the senses indeed.

Pregnant? The autumn female looked with wide eyes to the curious pup then to the sibling pair that shared an almost similar expression, though with Boothe a little more defensive than his sister. She opened her mouth to reply grasping in vain at the air for whispers of words before the saving grace of her mate came bounding forward with a little dark shape at his heels in tow. Briefly she wondered if her mate had even noticed the latest addition to this family bounding after him… but it was a short-lived curiosity as her hammering heart recalled the question at hand. The she-wolf lowered her head toward the dark pup, shrouding her tiny body in an autumn curtain as she was met with the endearing face of her Alpha. “No little one. They are too big for me to have been pregnant. I would have had to hide them from you all this time.” Gently, she lapped the little one’s crown then released her from her cage of red as the woman looked to Sophie and Boothe. “They are guests of Ichika and stay with me and Saluce in our den. Please treat them as if they are our own children… and little Salvador too.”

How could she had forgotten this fortune child, a shimmering gem from the ashes of despair. She did not know him well or the life he had endured while in the slaver’s hands of Salsola, but she took solace now knowing that this youth would not have to suffer that life again, with hers and Saluce’s help of course. And while she could feel the male’s possessive caress, she tried to remain steadfast against these shows of adoration. But her façade was easily crippled by the lightening mood overtaking her, and as she growled softly to bid the male cease his onslaught, the voice meant to ease him out of play only provoked her own actions into the opposite effect. Already planted on her hind legs, she reared up and threw down her front over his broad back in a effort to hold him still so she could grab hold of an elusive ear.

Everyone seemed rather surprised by what was a perfectly logical conclusion in Dalgina's mind. Even the pups seemed startled by her concluding that X'yrin was their mother. They smelled like her though. Not pack scent, but a very heavy smell of X'yrin and her mate. Dalgina looked over to the small female that had come over, sniffing at her curiously. Saluce arrived, rubbing against X'yrin happily. It sure looked like a talnala to her, complete with another pup joining in, doing his best to keep up.

Dalgina nuzzled happily up at the leader, enjoying the curtain that covered her, her own secret world under there. It lifted up, and Dalgina looked with curiosity. They were just guests? How sad. They won't stay? It would be nice if they did. That would give her more friends to play with. At least she was sure of the fact that they hadn't been hidden away, kept from the playful puppy. Grinning she bounded over, pawing playfully at the small dark pup as the two adults started their own game, Dalgina soon whirling around to help tackle Saluce.
