Splashing through the sand-bar...
OOC:// For Sirius, with apologies for being late, hope this being set today wont affect your timeline too much? It works out easier for me this way, but I don't mind if you had this planned for being set on another day. Also word count: 1047 words.

The sun was rising in the East, the fat orb slowly inching it's way up and over the horizon, having not yet been able to escape up into the sky fully. The warm morning light glinted off of the few small fluffy clouds that were meandering across the sky, being directed this way and that by the cool zephyrs that were blowing around the lands. The sand on the expanse of beach was cool, now shining in the dawn sunlight as the solar rays reached it and began to warm the chilled grains. The breeze coming in off of the salty sea tasted of brine and pushed the small waves towards the beach rapidly, the tide was going out, but still the cold water lapped at the beach, stretching a fair way inland with each wave, splashing white foam against the pale sand, the waves out to sea seemed more rough, rolling rather roughly, small white flecks of sea foam being obvious on the horizon, suggesting that most waves were creating a fair spray as they came from the deeper ocean into the shallower waters near the land. Small pebbles were being washed up with each wave, all perfectly smooth, having all their sharp edges eroded by the constant battering of the sea water upon them. A small grey stone rolled further than its fellow pebbles, rolling further inland than the others, being more affected by the push of the sea than any of the others it seemed. It was this pebble that was suddenly clasped by a dark hand.
Soran straightened up slowly, the small pebble clutched in her hands, slowly she rubbed a thumb across it, before raising her arm and throwing the round grey stone back towards the sea, it landed with a gentle splash just behind the line of the breaking waves, a lucky shot the ebony fae mused. This action displaced the soft blanket that had been wrapped around the jade eyed lady's shoulders; slowly she pulled the heavy red felt back around her dark arms, snuggling into the warmth. Now clutching the front of her blanket she bent down once again, reaching into the pile of sun bleached driftwood by her feet, much like the gnarled tree trunk that she was sat upon, its roots and branches mostly snapped off, the wood bleached white by the sun and the sea salt, the bark totally removed, she tossed the smaller piece of driftwood into the fire that was crackling wildly before her. As the salty wood entered the fire the blaze hissed fiercely, turning green and blue and sparking, the flames changing colour due to the salt in the wood, for the most part the blaze was mostly green and blue, a bizarre and intriguing effect to the dark fae.
For a moment, the dark lady stared into the blaze, musing over how many times like this she had sat before a fire, how she had made friends, enemies around them, how she had been deceived by others while staring into them, how she had met Hollow in front of a fire much like this one, only the green flames had burnt a hot orange. The fae did not like remembering how she had met Hollow, in fact had she not had Dhalia, Khaden and Conri, she would never think of the red male with his evil eyes. It was because of Dhalia that she was here right now, the fae had been unable to sleep since her meeting with her only daughter, she was still shaken, even through the knowledge that she had all of her children living in these lands once again, that all of them were alive and well, it was a shock, not an unpleasant one, but it had been most unexpected, it was a shock all the same. And so, once she had returned from those cold forests with their oppressive chill and darkness, the fae had returned to the beach, stopping only in the house briefly to tug the heavy felt blanket from the base of her bed. Since that late return Soran had sat here, starting a fire quickly and keeping it burning to keep her awake, and warm. Her girl had looked so like her father; she even saw the same glimmer of madness in her eyes as had been in his, she was sure she had caught it, just for a moment. She didn't know what to do, she was sure her babes hated her, even if they didn't openly show it, like Conri, she doubted that she had been fully forgiven for abandoning them all in their times of need, when they were so small or with Conri, when he was sick, having lost a leg and was intending on starting his own family.
Soran longed for Deuce at this moment, the feeling of loneliness had finally caught up with the jade eyed lady and it was more poignant that ever, she wished she had her former lover here with her, snuggled under the blanket, the pair able to enjoy the sunrise, instead of the lone lady staring blankly at the lightening sky, far more interested in the spitting flames before her, she wished she could find the beauty in another day starting this morning, but the only beauty she could find in it that it was one day since she had seen her daughter, a fresh day for her to re-evaluate her life and plan how she would better make amends with her babes. The dark lady raised a hand to stifle a yawn and began setting out plans, plans to prove that she could be maternal, plans to prove to her children that she loved them. Still the space beside her felt empty, there was a Deuce shaped space beside her to match the one in her heart, a small sigh escaped the dark lady's lips, as she once again added a piece of firewood to the crackling blaze in front of her, smiling as the salty wood caused the fire to hiss and spit once again, she didn't flinch as one of the sparks landed upon her long forearm, instead she simply moved to pinch the spark out, rubbing the ashes between her finger and thumb as she mused.
No, this is fine Big Grin Thanks for getting it up! wc: 1051

He had been thinking about leaving for a while now, but there was still a few things that he had to get done first. He wanted to see Apollo at least one more time before he left Shadowed Sun for good, to tell his brother that he was still alive, but moving. On the outside he made it seem like he didn't really care about his younger sibling, but deep down, (very deep down), he did hold some sort of brotherly love for him. He'd never admit it, though, especially not to Apollo himself.

Sirius didn't really have anything holding him to any particular pack or place...maybe he really would become a loner for a while. Anselm's words had made him really think about his parents, about what sort of creatures they had to be. It didn't make sense...Pilot was a white wolf and Dierdre had been a white wolf...so why was he not large and white, as Apollo was? He'd always thought that his brother was a bit of a freak, with that messed up eye of his, but now that they were growing it seemed that Sirius was the one outside of the circle of normalcy.

The young male padded toward the Twilight Vale borders, paws taking him over the familiar lands with ease. He knew this place like the back of his own paw, and was comfortable here. He'd left because of one incident with Lucifer, when he and the others had kept Sirius away from his grandma Deuce, and now he was starting to rethink that a little. Twilight Vale was where his brother lived, where his adopted grandpa lived...but Shadowed Sun was where his father lived. Or...the man he thought was his father.

Maybe neither place was suited for someone like him. Sirius was a very confused little boy, still unsure of exactly who and what he was. Once he grew a bit more he would be able to tell for sure, but he was beginning to show signs of it already...a distinct coyote-ness that his brother didn't have. There was no coyote blood in his family line, as far as he knew. Pilot had never said anything about it, and when he'd asked Naniko she had told him that both of his parents were wolves. So why had he ended up like this? So strange looking?

It was morning, and the light shone down upon the boy, bringing out the copper in his short fur. He had been travelling along the beach for a couple of days now, taking the long trip to Twilight Vale. Normally he wouldn't have wandered so far away from home, but it seemed important that he tell someone that he wasn't in Shadowed Sun. Someone in Twilight Vale. Sirius didn't want to make anybody worry about him like he had the last time...both Deuce and Iskata had come to the borders of Shadowed Sun looking for him, trying to see if he was okay.

He wished that he knew more about his mother. All that he knew was that Naniko had helped her give birth to him and his brother during the fire, and that she had dissapeared, leaving them behind with Naniko. What sort of a wolf would do something like that? He knew enough about life and death to know that sometimes wolves wanted to be alone when they died...was it that? Was she dead? It made sense to think that, because three whole months had gone by without any word from her. Not even a message. If he'd had children and then left them, even if he had been hurt, he would have tried his hardest to contact them. No kid deserved this.

He could hear a peculiar sound nearby, one that he had only heard once or twice in his entire life. A fire. He didn't remember what the fire had been like when he had been born, because he'd been too eensy to realize what was going on...but Naniko sometimes had a fire going in the fireplace, so that she could heat water to sanitize things in. He'd been close to it before, but was usually very wary of it. He didn't understand how sometimes fire could stay in one spot and sometimes it could move around and burn down packlands.

Sirius looked over his shoulder, eyes searching behind him for Squirk. He missed his squirrel friend...the imaginary creature had been accompanying him for most of his journey, but now it seemed to have dissapeared. He hadn't thought that a made up creature could dissapear...he had thought that he would be able to think about him and make him come back again...but somehow he had. He was really gone.

But then there was a movement in front of him. Squirk! The pale creature was sitting there, staring at him with the same big eyes as he always did, munching on a nut. "Squirk, I thought you was gone for good! I missed you! You comed back because you know'd that I was going to need your help, didn't you? I hear fire, Squirk...fire's scary. Will you protect me from it?" He looked at the imaginary animal, waiting for a response. Squirk didn't usually talk, so he took the silence as a 'yes'. "Hoooray! Let's go, Squirky!" With Squirk there to protect him, he could do anything.

The young male approached the scene carefully, slinking along through the grass. His paws kind of hurt from the trip over, so he looked where he was going so that he didn't step on anything really sharp. He didn't have enough of a hard skin built up on them yet for long journeys. His friend Squirk sat on his head, watching what the male was doing from a slightly higher perspective. Squirk would warn him if something bad was happening, definitely, so he felt pretty safe. The squirrel had warned him of impending doom before, predicting that fish would jump out of the water and smack him in the face before. It had almost happened, but Sirius had managed to back up just in time.

He opened his mouth, lifting his head. He would find this fire. "FIIIIREEE, WHERE IS YOU AT? I CAN HEAR YOU."
OOC://Awww he's so cute and am glad you don't mind, I meant to start it but my brain kind of melted with tired XD. Word count: 829 words.

The dark fae was still sat huddled over in her blanket, her arms crossed across her chest, despite the heat of the fire and the warmth of the red felt cover wrapped around her she was still shivering, not because she was cold, but because the image of her cruel daughter's face was burned into her mind. The small red girl was so like her father, staring into her face was like staring into Hollow's face, the mad eyes, the twisted smile, the mask that covered up the true creature beneath, the creature that was formed entirely of lies and deceit, well that was Hollow, perhaps her daughter had some redeeming qualities beneath her own mask, perhaps the ebony fae would be able to chip away at the cold personality of the blue eyed girl until she found the true daughter beneath it.
Again the jade eyed fae shivered, just thinking of the male who had fathered her children dragged memories back to the surface, memories that she didn't want to have anywhere in her conscious mind, just the thought of the male's face made her cringe and shiver with an emotion that was something between fear and anger. She could not decide which was the stronger emotion; she wasn't sure whether or not to cringe away from her daughter's image, to hide away and avoid her child, even in thought, or to allow the fury at Hollow and Stygian, the evil creatures who had poisoned her child's mind, to run free. If Hollow wasn't already dead she would have killed him for this, she would have made him pay for ever laying a hand on her, for impregnating her with her youngest litter in such a violent and brutal way, causing her to abandon her babes, unable to cope with caring for them, unable to even be around them, the pair of them being nothing but reminders to her of the brutal rape that had caused them to come into existence. She had lost everything because of Hollow, her pack, her home, her youngest children's love, her own ability to care for her pups, she had lost that for so long, she had only just managed to fight through the panic when she thought of her yearling babes and allow herself to love them again. And now, the Hollow's poisonous attitude seemed to have seeped into her only daughter, the child seemed totally devoted to him, in the same cult that the evil red male had himself created, where everyone worshipped him as some kind of martyr, some kind of saviour.
The small girl's eyes had been so like his, so cold, she had seemed totally like him, she didn't know what to do, she was torn between needing her daughter in her life, desperately wanting to make amends, wanting to have the same kind of love shared between her and her youngest children that she shared with Conri and wanting to hate Hollow and everything that reminded her of him, including her daughter who so mirrored his appearance and personality. And so the ebony lady was torn, she had no idea what to do, with this all weighing on her mind she could not sleep, which is why she was still awake at dawn, staring into the crackling blue flames. She wanted to have her family around her, she wanted to make amends and be free to love her children, but she knew that there was almost no chance that this would happen, now that Dhalia was firmly in the "Daddy" camp, in love with a father she had never met, who had never known that she existed, who wouldn't have cared even if he had.
The sun had risen much higher since the lady had last stared up into the sky; the day had almost begun now. Again Soran threw a log onto the fire, once again it hissed and spat as the driftwood touched the flames, the jade eyed lady watched as the blue tinted flames licked at the bleached driftwood, blackening and scorching it before it finally caught light properly. Then the slender fae caught the sound of a small wolf shouting, instantly her dark ears turned to catch the sand, finally being followed by her head. Jade eyes scanned the beach, flicking between the rocks and the debris that rested on the fine white sand. Her eyes caught a glimpse of a small creature across the beach, her brow furrowed in confusion, she was unsure if she was just imagining the small creature on the beach.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" She called out cautiously, her meeting with her cruel daughter making her wary of everyone, but she tried to interject a warmth, a friendly tone into her voice as not to scare the pup that she was sure owned the voice. Still she peered down the beach, annoyed that her weary demeanour had affected her eyesight, she was doubting her usual sharp vision.

He was sometimes scared to be out by himself, but never when Squirk was with him. He could really count on the little guy to be there with him, much more than Naniko or Conri or his dad. Squirk was his best friend. Sirius was really glad to have a best friend that would be with him always...he felt safer with the squirrel there. When he spoke the squirrel jumped, climbing down from his head onto his back instead and hanging on there. He had never met anyone who could see Squirk, because Squirk was imaginary...but Sirius could always see him. And sometimes he felt him...or thought he did

He had never had anybody be really mean to him except for Apollo, but he had come to expect that much. His brother was stupid and mean...and he was glad to be away from him. But for all that Sirius felt, he knew he had to tell somebody that he was going.

He came into view of the older fem, eyes looking upon both her and the fire curiously. "Who is you, fire lady?"
