As much as she disliked walking into the more human sect of the territory, she found a reason to do so this day with not a reluctant lumber but a spritely stride upon healthy umber stalks. She had received only a hint, just a little tease of joy promised by the smile upon the russet female's maw as she spoke of herself and her guard Asad. Perhaps the news in store was this, that the pair had found an abode for themselves within the human dwells. It was nothing something the golden she-wolf would take great pride in, but if this was another step in solidifying the pair's placement within Ichika, then she would welcome this new change with mirth and joyful airs.

The she-wolf brought with her a bouquet of sorts, a collection of wildflowers that blossomed with the coming of spring. They were sweetly fragrant with just a hint of astringency from their lively stems cut by careful claws. Delicate to the nose and so warming to the heart; a kind gift to the pair blessed by the ancestor's guiding light to each other. And followed closely under her shadow was the tiny Salvador doing his best to keep up with the woman's lengthy strides. Since his legs were strong enough to carry him, she was more keen to let him stretch his legs and test their limits for himself. While she had carried Sarian as a pup and spoiled the little darling rotten, she made the conscious effort not to do the same for the little boy. If he was to be strong and able as an Exultare, then she would do for him as her Shepard had done for her. But from time to time she found herself slowing her pace a little for the struggling pup to catch up and at times halted to let the little dear catch his breath. Eventually she really would have to carry him, but for now she observed him carefully as they carried on.

As X'yrin neared the asphalt road, she paused before her calloused pads could grace the crippled ground. Looking from left to right, she could not determine which direction she was meant to take to meet the pair. Perhaps she should have asked before they parted several days ago. How fortunate that while direction failed, a sound from a strong voice was easier to detect. Setting the blossoms at her paws she lifted her head and called out to her pack sister hoping her voice would carry to the expecting ears residing within the human-esque domain.

Fatin had discussed it with Asad and they had decided to not tell anyone yet that they were officially together. At the party however, they were both super excited but wouldn’t tell anyone the real reason, not even the person that Fatin was closest to, X’yrin. Not that they were trying to hide it but they wanted to wait awhile. Of course, besides acknowledging their feelings for each other, Asad had asked her to be his mate, which she accepted. But at the party, they simply said that they were thinking about moving into the apartments, which was true, and the High Shepard had agreed to meet them there.

She thought it had something to do with the apartments, which it was, but they also wanted to tell her that they were now mates. It had been hard to keep their normal distance from each other, granted that the distance was very small, but they knew that they would have the satisfaction of surprising people. Fatin briefly wondered if there was going to be a party like the one they had to celebrate the pups. Knowing X’yrin, it was quite likely.

When their leader had called for them, they were sitting under a tree next to the apartment complex cuddling. They grinned at each other when they heard her call and Fatin called, ”We’re in front under a tree,” and they stayed cuddled close to each other, with her head on his shoulder and his arms wrapped protectively around her waist.

Before heeding the direction of the call, the travelling pair looked to each other as if to affirm that their ears had heard true and there was now a voice to follow. X'yrin looked down at the tuckered pup, his little chest panting heavily from the distance they had travelled to greet the new lovers. The she-wolf was not set on changing her form to accommodate the boy, but she had adopted a rather unorthodox way of carrying him while the flowers were still held by her teeth. She had lowered herself to the ground and let the little pup rest between her shoulders as she walked. Her pace was slower than before to keep from jostling the young one but was measured still to make their destination.

What they were met with was a display of unbridled love nestled beneath the cover of a tree, as radiant as the sun itself and so pure that the she-wolf could not help the smile as it blossomed on her muzzle. Salvador attempted to peek out from amidst the mass of the she-wolf's mane to see what brought his temporary steed to a halt, then slipped back into the auburn tresses when he saw a face that was unfamiliar. The golden dame whined comfortingly, sensing the little one's distress before she proceeded in her warm greeting to the two.

Carefully, she placed the gathered flowers by Fatin's feet then folded down her haunches to sit before them. "Good afternoon you two," she smiled kindly in better spirits than she had been in a while. "You look very comfortable. I feel as if I am intruding on a private moment. I hope this is not the case." Her amber lights danced between one slender canine to the other. "Have the two of you settled on a place already? Are you still in need of assistance?"

The two of them were whispering two each other about numerous different things. The main thing that they were discussing the future and what they were going to do about their home. Asad talked about how he was going to work on repairing the damage to one of the rooms on the first floor whereas Fatin talked about the decorating. Plus, they talked about possibly having pups at some point soon.

They glanced up at X’yrin as she approached, not really moving from the position they were but did seem surprised by the pup that she was carrying on her back. It wasn’t odd that she was in her secui form since their High Shepard was usually in that form. But she had never carried a pup before and it was unlikely that she had been pregnant. ”Who’s your little friend, High Shepard? And thank you for the flowers.” She bent forward and sniffed them gently, grinning as she handed them to her love.

At her interrupting, Fatin shook her head gently. ”No, you aren’t. We were going to settle into one of the apartments. But that was not what I wanted to tell you. Asad and I have decided to become mates, if you will allow us?” She wasn’t sure if she needed to ask for permission for it but figured it was better to do so than to get in trouble later.

The little one’s shyness invoked a bubbly happiness she could not contain by a soft smile alone. She could feel his shuffling movements on her back, the subtle way he parted her mane to look around to whom she spoke with. When addressed, the Shepard lowered her front to the ground in a bow and as predicted, despite his protests the little one came rolling down into a soft heap of grass. “This little fellow is Salvador,” the autumn dame introduced her charge, earning a look of confusion from the boy. Drawing the whole of her large frame to the ground, she nudged the boy with her muzzle. “These are your packmates,” she told him gently. “They are also your family.”

And the blessings of family were not only in words it seemed as her ears turned toward the newly found couple with wonderful new to behold. Her tail rose excitedly as weathered lips parted in a smile with radiance to rival the welcoming spring rays. “Mates?” she beamed with renowned exuberance. “A blessing of the ancestors found when like hearts come together under their shining light… How could I deny such a gift from the two of you?” Salvador was momentarily startled as the large female abruptly stirred the ground in her rising to grant the pair a kiss of congratulations upon their crowns. “I am happy for you two,” she whined amidst her adorning affections. “And the pack shall know of this wonderful moment as well. We should gather and announce it! Such good things should not be kept to just ourselves!”

Oh she was brimming with happiness as if she had been proposed to all over again by her beloved mate, as if this moment was of her own wedding to be. “There shall be a feast,” she continued excitedly, circling both the pair and the little one with prancing steps until she made herself dizzy then dropped down beside the mated pair again.
