Occ: Set around dusk at the hunting lodge. Aylu has already started a big pot of stew and a another fire that has a ox leg on a spit. People are encouraged to bring something to put in the pot and contribute if you aren't in the hunting thread.Back dated to the 26th. WC:477

He had started it late in the afternoon. They had had a successful hunt and now it was time for them to celebrate. He had woken up early in the morning to find a pot large enough to feed everyone. Buddha had shined down on him that day and he found a rather large pot and a tripod looking thing to put it over a fire. After he had carried the pot and the tripod and all the wood he needed for the fire he brought out Russell to drag the slabs of meat he had cut up the night before on a small but stable sleigh he had made. Russell wasn't yet used to pulling things and would buck some until Aylu got him calm down and tie the sleigh behind him.

After what felt like forever Aylu was finally able to get Russell to work with him and had the young stallion trot beside him as he dragged the meat to the hunting lodge. They made it there in great time and after letting Russell go graze Aylu set to work starting to fires and taking care of the meat and spices needed to feed the pack. He put a rather large piece of ox leg on a spit over a smaller fire and let that cook slowly, putting spices and other herbs on it. He also put some cooking stones in the fire to heat up for any tea someone might want that he had also brought with him. Then he set to work putting the pot on the tripod and setting the fire under it to have some water boil with some of the more fatty parts thrown in with some spices to make a broth.

He hummed a song he had learned as a child and took the biggest piece of meat and cut it off the bone and into small cubes that he spiced with salt and other herbs that he would later throw in. He had found some wild potato's while on his patrolling routes and a few wild carrots that he cut up and put in with the fat broth. He stirred the broth with a stick he had carved into a ladle while on his trip to Souls and howled for other to come and enjoy a meal with a fellow pack mate. It was still early in day and he wasn't expecting any one to show so early in the day. The stew wasn't looking very stewish at the moment because it was missing vegetables and other spices but he hoped that people would join in the celebration of a successful hunt and enjoy time together as a pack. He went and sat on the porch and pulled out his latest bowl he was carving for anyone who wanted it. Today was going to be along night.

The protettore and his son had heard the call, inviting others to join in a celebration. Out of habit he carried his satchel with his dried herbs. He had some dried vegetables stored in there, taken from the stable along with a loaf of his home made bread. He kept his pace slow so Myrddin could keep up with him. It took them a while to reach the hunting lodge, but they did. As they arrived, he could smell the scent of another pack member, a horse, and a half cooked stew.

He drew to a halt, lifting a hand as the other shifter came into view. "Hello! I'm Tal, the protettore, and this is my boy Myrddin. We heard your invitation." His smile was friendly, his tail wagging lazily. He lifted his satchel lightly. "We brought some stuff too...some dried vegetables, and some bread I made. It's not much, but it's a start." He grinned crookedly. If one didn't know him, one would never be able to tell that he was suffering a broken heart from a mate who left him and his son.
