All welcome! Set at the Abbey, in the Gampo Rock Gardens. +361

After settling in her home in New Glasglow, Pia was determined to meet some of the other members of her pack and explore the area a bit. Deciding to travel on foot, she left her horse to her own devices and jogged steadily cross the land, avoiding the desolate highway she had reached the town by. It was nice to walk through the mountain territory without a single care in the world. Of course, she often stopped to pocket flowers and whistle at songbirds in trees and chase rabbits here and there.

Her progress was slow due to all the distractions, but eventually she saw a temple concealed in the mountain forest. Her ears pricked forward, and she trotted toward it with a mixture of nerves and excitement. In her travels, she’d become familiar with the human architecture of North America, but this distant building was unique. She gasped in awe as she passed rainbows of blossoms surrounding the area.

She skirted the actual building itself, as the aroma of other plants caught her attention. She bounced out onto a long, winding path and gasped at the sight of a beautiful smooth pond and the trees that surrounded it. The garden was magnificent, peaceful, and she moved through it silently. The path continued to a patch of sand dotted with stones, and while another wolf might have overlooked its simplicity, Pia found beauty in it. Blinking, she took a seat and stared at the raked sand. Stones had always found a soft spot in her heart, and she desired to go and touch them, feel the heat stored at their hearts.

Very slowly, as if one misplaced step might ruin the serenity of the rock garden, the mottled wolf stepped out onto the sand. She left delicate pawprints as she ventured to the stone and took a seat on it, feeling the warmth from the sun soak into her fur and paw pad. She spied a rake leaning against one of the stones and went to grab it, noting the faded lines in the sand and dragging it across them, leaving patterns that curved elegantly around the rocks like sand serpents.
