A bright smile was Fayne's response to his gentle nudge. It looked like she had been off in her own world while he'd been looking at flowers. He wondered what had been holding her so rapt, hoping it wasn't the nightmare from earlier. Tharin had almost completely forgotten why they had come out here, enthralled as he was by the meadow and the joy of wandering through the territory, knowing they were safe in the net of the pack. It was a feeling he'd been missing.

She gazed at the sky, Tharin following her gaze to note the moon's position. It had grown, rising through the heavens. Fayne moved to walk back towards the forest, the large male's head swinging to watch her. He grinned and stood up, padding to her side. Softly he bumped her, meeting her gaze before stepping to lead them back. Sounds good. As much as the moon calls to me, we should return. Picking his way through the trip back felt a lot shorter, Tharin moving through to find a comfortable spot to settle down and sleep. Good that he hadn't disturbed anyone with his return.

Fayne hesitated for a few seconds, standing in the meadow anxious to return to the den. "Yeah... Part of her had hoped Tharin would agree and they would spend the night here in the meadow. But, that was only wishful thinking. A soft, almost inaudible, whine escaped her throat as she trotted after Tharin and into the forest. She followed close behind, walking slowly as if to further the time it took to get back. Only to find herself matching the ashy wolf's pace. The journey back was faster than she expected, the two ending up at the den shortly. She simply stood outside and stared, resistant to enter and fall into the unconscious state where she would be vulnerable. She sat outside for a few minutes before padding inside quietly. Tip toeing around the bodies that littered the soft mossy floor. The many scents of her pack mates filling her nose. It was comforting knowing that they were there and nothing could truly harm her. It was only a dream.

The silver wolf lay herself down in her original spot, shifting for a few minutes before she found a suitable position. When she closed her eyes flashbacks of Rowan in Optime form, standing over her with his claws raised ready to strike plagued her. Her eyes jutted open only to be met with darkness and the sounds of her pack mates snoozing all around her. It was uncomfortable. Her heart beat accelerated, frightened that the dreams would return. She would never get any rest like this. The dainty female lifted herself and trotted over to where Tharin lay, placing herself a few feet away. With him there, she felt safer. His presence finally helped lull her to sleep. No malicious dreams and no Rowan.
