[html]For Honey and Jess, if they both want to hop in.:3 Shitty post blaerghjfdv;daskcmdsfljk

When the group disbanded, Ezra made the mistake of going out on his own. The open, free road seemed so pleasant and welcoming to him. Eli was especially excited to explore the north. And so the trio set off again, despite Petra’s ever increasing struggle over the weight of two luperci on her back. The days were long and hard though because of winters grip on the land. They pushed on, however, and saw the beauty the northern lands held for what felt like years.

It was lonely, though. Ezra missed the constant interaction he had with his old comrades. He constantly thought about the best times at Hillsburn; father and son had made a point to not talk out loud about that time, because it was too sad to think that it was over. Eli expressed loneliness constantly, and always asked when Lilin would be back to play. Every time he asked his father, a shadow crossed the husky’s face. After more time had passed,Ezra knew it was time to go back to what he knew. And he knew that the Rosen family was meant to be with the Stormbringers.

A few days brought him to the general area where Saul told Ezra to look for him. It was quite north of Halifax and by the coast. From the moment he smelled the group that he had strayed away from for some weeks he knew he was back home. The hybrid let out a long, warm howl that called for his dear friends. After a few seconds Eli chimed in too, forming a harmonious call that begged for their friends to return to them.

10th April 2012 . 12ish . Moonstone Lakes . Lupus Form -squishes Ezra and Eli-

Saul Chibi is byTitmouse!

The rhythmatic scrape of the rake-like instrument along the ground was soothing to the grey male, an indication that something was going to be accomplished. When he'd found this place, he'd instantly been drawn to the wild nature of it- a little pocket of earth nestled between the lake and the forest, that would be away from prying eyes and seemed to have everything they needed. It had awoken something primal in the male, and he found that the more he stayed here, under the roof of the wooden structure he had built, the more the human remains began to frustrate and irritate him. He couldn't have said where the change came from, but there was a profound need within Saul, a need to touch down with his lupine roots, to feel at least something of a wild wolf, instead of a caged in, civilised creature who resembled their ancestors only in looks. He contradicted himself a little by standing on two legs, but he could slowly feel his mind set changing, morphing into something that wasn't so sophisticated and humanised. Thoughts swirled in his mind- his task wasn't mentally taxing and he allowed his mind to wander. In truth, he'd thought about allowing Hermes and Artan in here to cut back the grass, but he couldn't guarantee that they wouldn't break through the walls and destroy his home. So he was going to have to remove the grass by him self.

The arrival of his cousins nearly two weeks ago had been like a balm to the taught nerves in camp Stormbringer. Temeraire had been distraught at being removed from Eli's company, but the arrival of his 'Uncle's had caused a lift in the boys spirits. It was great to see them get on so well, and Saul would often find Temeraire tagging along with Bran or Niernan, sometimes both, into the woods for a game he was no privy to. Often, the burdens that Saul allowed himself to be placed under stopped him from being a carefree father and he sometimes envied the time his son spent with his cousins, but he had so much to do that he couldn't afford to be lax. He had been extremely grateful to Niernan and Bran for helping in building their hut- Saul had already built two of the things on his own and it was a pleasure to talk to someone, even if neither of them had much experience with wood working. Soon, Saul was going to have to find a large source of sap, or something, that would make their huts waterproof, before the end of the summer. Luckily, their move had been at the beginning of spring and they had long months ahead of them to tweak their shelter.

His thoughts often dragged him from the present, but now that there were four adults instead of just two, Saul knew that his home wasn't unprotected. Still, there was always something that threw a spanner in the works, and cinnamon backed ears twitched receptively as a howl broke through, quickly joined by another voice. They were clearly a summons, and the voices were familiar. Placing the rake-tool against the wall, he concentrated briefly, white hot shivers racing down his spine as he allowed his bones to resettle into a form that was becoming more natural to him. With a soft huff, he exited his hut, casting a glance towards Lilin's home. His heart, as seemed usual, stuttered and Saul uttered a soft growl at his offending organ before taking off towards the forest. He was able to closely pinpoint the origin of the howl- they hadn't been far away when they'd made the summons.

Of course, the sight that met him bought him up short and he skidded softly, green eyes widening as an instinctual grin curled his lips. The husky-coloured body of a friend he thought he might not see again, accompanied by the similar marked body of his son caused joy to race through his body. Ezra... Elias! I-I... What are you doing here? He exclaimed, disbelief and happiness saturating his tones. He had to admit, he'd missed the mans relatively quiet presence and his tail began an automatic swing as he looked from father to son, wondering who was going to answer him.

Blergh, sorry for the wait! I forgot to subscribe to this topic :<

The land was finally showing signs of rebirth. Newly grown grass flattened under Eli’s feet as he squirmed impatiently. When the shadows finally gave way to the familiar Stormbringer, Eli started yipping excitedly, even running up to his friend, jumping at him and licking his face. Ezra smiled at the young man, he too unable to stop the grin that was growing on his face. “It’s good to see you again,” he said simply, a formal welcome in the form of a nuzzle coming after he spoke. “It seems as if the north wasn’t quite what I expected it to be, and Eli missed Temeraire a little too much.” Eli grinned at Saul, nodding excitedly.

“Dad, can I go find him, pleasepleaseplease?” The almost-yearling pleaded, adding a whine to the end of his request. The then-optime man
chuckled, looking over to Saul. “Do you mind? We should probably talk privately, anyway,” Ezra wasn't entirely sure if he would be welcome here. It was a gamble, but they were all comrades here. Lilin was here, too. Oh, how he missed that twoface. Hopefully this family would be taken back into the fold of friendship without too much trouble.

no worries sweet pea! jess will hop in with Lilin soon, but I thought we should get this thread going quickly!

Saul Chibi is byTitmouse!

He should have expected an exuberant response from the dark rust boy, but as an excited yip escaped from the near-adult Saul allowed a grin to lift his face. He hadn't spent much time with either Ezra or Elias, but there was a camaraderie about them that meant interaction wasn't necessary to create a bond of friendship. Elias crashed into him, jumping and licking his face, to which Saul aimed a greeting lick to the boys ear. He was a good boy, well bought up by his father. With a grin, he playfully headbutted the boy to send him back to his father. Ezra chose that time to greet him, the formal words tumbling from the mans lips. It was with a grin that Saul trotted forward, paw raised as if to embrace the black and white male. Its good to see the both of you, unharmed and here He said simply, a happy and joyous feeling rising in his chest. Of course, Ezra continued to explain about what had happened, and he smiled softly. In a selfish way, Saul was glad that it hadn't worked out in the north- he liked Ezra's company and he was sure Temeraire would talk to him again now that Elias was back. The rust boy spoke up, a plea to his father to go and find his playmate.

Quirking a brow, he allowed a curled smile on his lips as Ezra looked over to him, asking whether it was alright. He grinned, tail flashing back and forth softly as he gave a soft nod. Of course he can- Temeraire's been in a foul mood since you both left. He should be out in the forest near camp, playing with one of his Uncles. He said to the boy, a mischevious twinkle in his eye when he thought about Temeraire playing with Niernan and Bran. They certainly bought a breath of life to the camp, especially when Saul was otherwise occupied with the maddening thoughts racing through his mind whenever he thought about Lilin. It was getting ridiculous now, especially since a lot of the time, his thoughts made no logical sense. More often than not, he pushed these thoughts aside and distracted himself by continuing his hunt for an adequate source of waterproofing for the huts. They hadn't yet had a proper rain, but sooner rather than later, they would need something to make them weather proof.

He watched as Elias scampered away, falling over his paws to try and cover the ground quicker. He snickered softly, his tail still swinging but slower this time. With a smile, he looked back towards Ezra, a soft pant escaping his lips. I'm glad you came back He said simply, his voice embedded with concern and compassion for his friend. It may be true that he knew Lilin better, but Saul felt a kinship with the black and white male that he couldn't ignore.

ugh short, but it’ll get the thread moving. >_>

Ezra’s spirits instantly lifted when his appearance was well-received. Eli shot off like a rocket, intent on finding his friend. He chuckled at the dust that his son’s paws lifted from the ground in his speedy getaway. Ezra turned to Saul after a moment. The tawny man spoke simply and truthfully, which the hybrid appreciated. “I’m glad I came back as well. Do you have room for three more? I almost tried to join a pack, but... I prefer this style of community. I’ll do whatever you want in exchange for the gang being back together again. I was miserable without you guys. You’re my family, more than any pack could ever be.” He sighed, looking at his friend pleadingly. Ezra’s heart ached for Barry, but knew he was needed somewhere else.

(460) Im slow, derp!

Looking back at the arrival of two additional family members, Lilin could not tame the mixed feelings welling up inside of her. From an objective standpoint, Bran and Niernan's presences only proved to be beneficial; extra comfort and security, paired with an unexplainable stability they unknowingly brought to the small group. Temeraire was quite taken with his two uncles and he was slowly relinquishing his hold on his anger. Something deep within her, however, caused wariness to overtake her mind and soul whenever conversing with her newfound cousins. She dreaded losing yet another friend; Barett's departure had been far more difficult than she could've ever imagined. It was almost as if, subconsciously, she was awaiting some kind of evidence; anything that would demonstrate their dedication to the group.

Saul had a multitude of concerns on his mind but the brothers' loyalty was not one of them. To him, they were Stormbringers and thus family; they could do no wrong. Perhaps Lilin would've shared the same feelings a few months prior, before her scuffle with Lillith and her landlord's unexpected adieu. Still, she made an effort not to take her insecurities out on the jolly pair; they deserved none of it and her unfounded caution was slowly becoming casual amiability. It was forced for the time being but good intentions were there. The Soulstorm heir had been refreshing her living quarters, gathering the few pelts she owned and folding them into neat piles when two familiar howls rang clear. Ezra's call was recognized immediately, accompanied by little Eli's enthusiastic voice. The emotions came rushing in, poignant as ever; she froze for a moment, unable to do react or do much of anything except stand there.

Her receivers caught Saul's near immediate movement toward their former housemates. An inner debate tore through her body then; her heart wanted nothing but to follow in her cousin's footsteps and meet them, but shock and anxiety kept her frozen in place for several minutes before her own symphonic howl elevated into a crescendo; piercing the now placid atmosphere. She regained her bearings and eventually caught up to the two males, noting that Elias was missing from their rendez-vous point already. She caught the tail end of their discussion, most specifically the part where Ezra expressed his intentions. A smile softened her features as she reached out to give the wolfdog a lengthy hug, before moving back to stand at her relative's side. ''Space is tight right now but that's never stopped us before,'' she explained with a twinkle in her voice, recalling their living situation back in Hilsburn. Absent-mindedly, nimble fingers reached down to give Saul a loving scratch behind his ears, running her fingers through the fur behind his receivers. ''Right, Saul?''

Green eyes were fixed on the black and white man's face, a sense of joy at having the male and his son here. He could still sense a little bit of hesitance in Ezra though, which was understandable. Saul and Lilin weren't the type to hold grudges, but it was an easy thing to feel apprehensive to approach those you left behind. In Saul's mind, there was no question of anyone being 'accepted back in'. Home was wherever you made it, and that included the people in your life. Ezra and Elias could have walked into camp and helped themselves to some food and it wouldn't have mattered to the grey man. As Ezra turned back to him, Saul allowed a grin to curl up his lips. His words were upsetting, knowing that he'd made a bad choice, but Saul knew one had to make mistakes to learn from them, else one would never learn anything. He allowed his head to bob softly, as the familiar footsteps of his cousin came up behind him.

He didn't need to answer, as she approached the man and hugged him tightly, before retreating to his side. Her words were sweet, offering everything they had to him without making it seem so. His tail gently swayed back and forward, occasionally brushing Lilin's calf as a brown hand ghosted down to settle on his head, delicate fingers digging into his fur and scratching softly. Without meaning to, his eyes closed and he titled his head to get more from the caress, before he realised how his actions would be taken. Her voice bought him out of it, a need for reassurance causing his eyes to open forcefully, an almost guilty smile on his lips. He nodded eagerly, concentrating on the delicate shiver that raced down his spine as his bones realigned and he stood, closer to Lilin than he thought he would be.

Space will never be a problem, especially not for family. I would say I'm sorry things didn't work out up north... but I'm not He admitted shamelessly, arms crossed over his chest self-consciously. His bottom half way naked, a state he tried to avoid although he was covered naturally by his fur. His right hand reached up to tug on a lock of hair once before he let his arms drop back to a relaxed state. We're not sure what we're doing at the moment, but for now, we've settled by the shores of the Moonstone Lakes. I designed and built some wooden huts, that are easy to build and provide good shelter. Would you mind helping me make something for you and Elias? He asked, pleased to have someone who knew what they were doing, unlike Bran who had flailed around without a clue as to what Saul was talking about. A smile raced across his lips at the thought of his chocolate and caramel cousin and his clueless ways, before he concentrated on the delicate brush of his tail against the back of Lilin's calves once more, an unconscious need to touch her that he tried hard to ignore.

[html]I thought I replied to this? Sorry for the delay. Hope the powerplay is okay XD and maybe this could be considered done soon? :33 Don’t fel like you guys have to reply if you don’t want to ^^

That familiar, dark shadow came back. Instantly, the arrival of one of his favorite people set Ezra’s face alit with the biggest grin he could manage. He squeezed her as they embraced, even giving her a lick on the cheek. Oh, if only Eli was here! He would be so happy. Ezra kept grinning as he listened to her; his face was contorted to the largest smile that could physically fit on his face. This couldn’t have gone better. The hybrid listened to Saul take his turn to speak, at which he nodded fervently. Building things wasn’t difficult for him; he had improved his carpentry quite a lot since moving to Hillsburn. Ezra would make sure would do everything in his power to keep his friends happy even if that meant extra hunts, extra work around the commune. Ezra wasn’t going to leave this time and wanted to make this the best it could possibly be.

“Of course, I’ll do anything for you guys. Come ‘ere,” he said happily, pulling them both into a bear hug. He squeezed them both tightly, happy the family was back together. “Thanks. I missed you both so much. You’ll have to fill me in with what’s been going on since I left,” he looked at Lilin, and he was still absolutely grinning. Ezra’s tail wagged happily as he finally let go of his pals.

Saul Chibi is byTitmouse!

Part of him didn't particularly want to see Ezra's reaction to Lilin- especially when she threw herself at him like that. Of course, to Lilin Ezra was a good friend, one she thought she might never see again. The joy at having another link to Hilsburn and Barrett must have been exhilarating for her. The grin that lit up Ezra's face was something else however, and Saul recognised the feelings razing through him as jealously and paranoia. He acknowledged their physical interaction with the slightest narrowing of his eyes and the subtle purse of his lips that said he wasn't comfortable with the way the male was grinning at his cousin. His body fought against itself, unconsciously shifting closer while trying to force his arms to stay in a relaxed and easy pose. He didn't understand why he felt this possessiveness, but it had certainly grasped him in a headlock quicker than he could react and calm himself.

Ezra's words, however, bought a smile to his own face and Saul allowed himself to be enveloped into a big hug from the husky male. It was a confusing battle in his head- he liked Ezra and considered him a close friend, whereas the not-so-subtle grin that stretched his entire face were beginning to piss him off. Ezra spoke once more then, proclaiming how much he'd missed them, and Saul admitted to himself that he'd missed the man as well. Well, how about we move away from the outskirts and talk about whats been happening by the fire? Saul suggested, keeping his tone friendly and diplomatic, while his hand ached to wipe the smile from the mans face, even though Saul knew he wouldn't do anything even if he had the chance. These conflicting feelings were a pain for the Stormbringer male, but he allowed a small moment of smugness when he turned and slid and arm around Lilin's waist, pulling her after him. Ezra was sure to follow, so Saul allowed a companionable silence to settle between them until they reached the fire and the three huts that were standing around it.
