Salsola was in sight, though Amy was still far enough away to not warrant attention. Soon enough she would grab their attention, howling for someone to come and trade with her. Until then though, she had business that she needed to conduct, information that was fairly valuable to collect in exchange for what she would soon deliver to the assassin's hands. Amy had been surprised how rapidly Thana had agreed to sell her sister's pack out, the action completely ruthless. Amy could see the value in that, enjoying how destructive she was. The wolf was a very valuable tool to gain.

Lifting her head she howled, asking for Thana to come. She knew that the wolf would be close by, waiting for Amy. She had wanted to travel with Amy after all, excited for the chance to share in the power and spend time with Dhiate. Amy had brought the delicate slave along this time, hoping for the chance to sell his body to others, thinking that with his improvement he would most certainly get several buyers this time round.

Dhiate walked behind the wagon beside the darker, larger, and younger Raoth who was chained to the wagon. The slender, pale wolf simply walked with short strides and arms crossed behind his back while the broader, scarred wolf walked with long, angry strides. Dhiate's golden jewelry glinted in the sunlight and his black silks stood in contrast to his pristine white fur. Raoth was adorned in nothing more than a pair of shorts, scars, and his chains. The dark coyote remained silent while the older slave began to hum a simple tune from his childhood. He couldn't say anything after all, but neither could Dhiate without fear of being punished by the mistress.

Dhiate jumped about a foot as the golden luperci ahead howled, and Raoth couldn't help but double over with scornful laughter. Dhiate rolled his eyes and took the position to his advantage. Putting his pale hands on his even paler hips, Dhiate dragged his plumy tail under Raoth's nose and walked ahead. He glanced over his shoulder with a sly smile and winked a blue gray eye before disappearing around the wagon to greet his friend, Thana. Raoth simply stood there wondering why Dhiate did this to him.

Thana heard the howl in the distance. It was Amy calling for her. She had been waiting for the woman to call for her. She had gotten information from her sister about Casa di Cavalieri just like she had said she would. It was really easy. Isa had never suspected anything, assuming her sister just wanted to know if she was in a good home and what it was like. Thana had gotten a lot of useless information as well, about some drama that was going on with her and Hadley and some other female. Thana could care less. As long as Isa was safe, she wasn’t going to get involved.

Amy came into view and Thana bowed her head to the woman as she approached, showing her the respect the woman deserved. Dhiate was there was well. Thana smiled at her friend and pulled him into a quick hug before releasing him and turning back to Amy. She gave the woman the information she had promised. It seemed Amy was going to trade with Salsola since she brought Dhiate and the wagon. She waited for Amy to either give her orders or anything. She wasn’t sure what she could do.

Dhiate came up beside her, waiting with eager patience for Thana's appearance. She looked him over briefly, assured that he was in good condition. Raoth had managed to unfreeze now, if still wishing that the wolf would stop doing that. It was so confusing. He came up behind, if not nearly as quietly, chains rattling. Thana showed up, and Amy smiled at the polite bow. If such respect wasn't granted to her Amy would be sure to drill it into the female the next time they met.

Dhiate was given a hug, inciting the strangest feeling in Raoth. He moved a little closer to the small slave, considering how he could show his absolute disgust for Dhiate's behavior, sucking up to those that worked with Amy. He was so spineless. At least Raoth fought for his freedom.

Amy listened with interest. Two leaders, the male large and clearly battle worn from the huge scars that he bore. There was only one higher ranked member as well. Interesting. The pack must not be too old then. It would be easy to shift the members to distrust the leaders if they were unused to them. Amy couldn't approach the pack herself anymore due to Sebastian's disloyalty, setting Hadley free. That meant no trade for her. Unless she found a substitute to work for her. Smiling she studied Thana. How do you feel about working as a trader?

Dhiate stood by his golden mistress and strained his eyes for a glimpse of Thana. Behind him the clanking of chains brought a twitch to his dark tipped ears but nothing more. Over the time he'd spent with Amy and Raoth he knew it well enough. Finally he saw a dark smudge. Swiftly it gained definition and became his friend. Struggling to contain his excitement, he whipped his tail back and forth like a cat. The tip of it brushed Raoth's shins occasionally and in the back of his mind, Dhiate wondered what he was doing so close. No matter though. Thana was here.

Obediently, Dhiate waited for the tall female to make the first move. The instant her arms reached out, he was embracing her. It almost appeared like two lovers greeting one another after a long separation, but in truth it was more of a familial bond. Thana knew more about his past than Amy did, but she also understood it more. The two were bonded by their pain, and after one last squeeze he released her.

Silently nodding his greeting, he backed away to take his place behind Amy. Last time they had met, Dhiate had overstepped his boundaries and he had no wish to do that again. A slave's place was behind his mistress. To be seen, not heard. There was only one problem: Raoth was in his way. Dhiate looked up, startled, when his back met a wall of flesh. What was he doing there? For an instant, Dhiate just stood there, dumbstruck. The slender male shook his head, braid flying behind him. He wouldn't put up a fight. Not here where he could embarrass Amy. Rather, he stood beside the younger slave, his pale fur very nearly brushing Raoth.

Dhiate seemed to be more than a friend to her, as if he were a brother. They could be mistaken as lovers with the way they acted towards each other but Thana would never see the man in a romantic way. She knew about his past and he knew hers, bringing them closer together because of the pain they shared. Thana knew he was someone she could lean on if need be and she would always be there to help with anything he needed. It wasn’t often that Thana opened up to someone like she did with Dhiate, only one other, besides her family, knew her past and she could no longer turn to him.

Amy seemed pleased with the information Thana had given her. Her debt was paid. Or so she thought. Amy smiled as she looked Thana over before asking her to be a trader. Thana didn’t have very good people skills but if Amy helped her out a bit she would do just fine. Maybe Thana could even get a little something out of it. I’ll trade for you Amy, but perhaps I could get a little something out of it as well. Maybe someone to work for me like you have your two? She wasn’t being disrespectful, just curious to see if she could obtain a slave of her own.

Feeling Dhiate bump into him Raoth glared down at him, wanting to ring his neck. Unfortunately Amy was right there, so fighting would have to wait for later unless he wanted to participate in another game. Instead he satisfied himself by bumping against him, a slight push to knock Dhiate a little off balance into the wagon. It wasn't nearly as satisfying as what he wanted to do, part of which involved taking Amy's friend and strangling her with the chains he always wore, but it would have to do for now.

Having her newest servant bargain with her surprised Amy. The agreement had been that Amy would allow Thana to travel with her in exchange for the services the dark wolf could provide for her. The spy knowledge was simple payment for the hawks she had wished for. Growling Amy turned her head, considering. A slave. The request was actually pleasing to hear, though Amy refused to show it. Fine. I can get you one in a couple days. Now, for your trading. Have you ever done this before with anyone other than me?

Dhiate didn't notice Raoth's glare for one reason only: Raoth was taller than he was. The amber eyed gaze was out of his line of sight and passed him. He started a little when he felt Raoth press against him, but he was too late to stop himself from falling the the ground with a solid thud.

Wincing, Dhiate looked up with pitiful eyes, planning on taunting Raoth once more, but the boy had grown smarter. He stared straight ahead, not daring to look for fear of what he would see. A harsh glare found its way to Dhiate's delicate face as he pulled himself up. Another wince came once he bent his elbow. Turning it around to look at it, Dhiate searched for a cut or scrape, but he couldn't see anything. Relief. His beauty remain unmarred by injury, but it still hurt.

Dhiate gathered himself to catch the last words of Amy's reply. So Thana would be getting a slave, huh? That'd be interesting. Dhiate wondered where they would find a slave to give to Thana, and for an instant he was drawn back to his meeting with Amy. How she found him alone and frightened. He shook it away, he didn't want to remember that time.

Thana watched as Dhiate accidently bumped into the other slave, who seemed more aggressive. The other didn’t seem too happy about it since he pushed Dhiate to the ground. Thana was going to step forward and help up her friend but Dhiate was already pulling himself up. It seemed he had hurt his elbow though. There weren’t any scrapes thankfully.

Amy appeared to be surprised when Thana asked for a slave of her own. She turned her head as she growled. Perhaps it was a mistake to ask for one. Amy agreed to get her one in a just a couple days though. I actually have not traded with any others besides you Amy. There was never a need to. I’m sure I would be fine though with practice.

Raoth kept his eyes straight ahead, knowing that if he looked those big pitiful eyes would be there, playing with his mind. Instead he stared at the one that had made him so angry. He really wanted to hurt her somehow. Raoth spent all his attention on her, using it as a distraction from the pale wolf that was clambering back up beside him. Amy sighed, knowing what was going on behind her, deciding that she could deal with it later. Perhaps Raoth would get the message if he spent the night sleeping hanging from a tree. That might work.

She wasn't too surprised to hear that Thana was inexperienced in trading. The assassin did tend to offer optimum amounts for what she would do. Thana had even asked for the privilege of traveling with Amy, making sure that Amy wouldn't have to feed and care for the girl at all. Amy simply let her be there, and in exchange she received valuable services. Thana paid for items that she traded from Amy as well, making her even more valuable. It won't take too long, just some pointers. Raoth and Dhiate can help us with this. Dhiate, will you act as a customer for Thana to practice on? It might sound like a request, but the slaves knew better than that. Raoth looked over to the female, grinning broadly. This could work out quite well for him.

Raoth seemed angry. Angrier than usual, and he was becoming almost senseless. Usually, he wasn't nearly that open in his attacks. Sure, Dhiate was often tripped behind Amy's back, but never right beside her, and certainly not in plain view of someone else. Even when he'd been pushed out of the wagon it could have easily been shrugged off as a stumble. There was no hiding this. What was wrong with him today?

One of the strangest things was the fact that the anger didn't seem to be directly pointed at him, or even at Amy. So who could he be mad at? Surely not Thana, she'd never met Raoth and wasn't the type to simply hurt someone. Not even slave.

Dhiate turned as he was addressed. Yes ma'am Of course he would do exactly as Amy said, but he wasn't exactly sure what he should be doing here... Perhaps Amy would tell him what he was supposed to do.

Thana looked back at the pair of slaves and noticed Raoth seemed angry, but not at Dhiate who he had pushed or Amy, but Thana herself. Why would a slave show anger towards a customer of his master? It was plain disrespectful. She shrugged it off for the moment, but if he continued to act like that she would take action if Amy allowed her. Taking her attention away from the slave, and back to Amy, Thana nodded when she suggested she practice on Dhiate.

Dhiate seemed to be unsure what he was supposed to do. Thana wasn’t any better off, unsure what to do or say, she went for it though and stood in front of Dhiate, appearing confident. Are there any goods or services you would be interested in sir? Normally she wouldn’t have called Dhiate sir, he was both a slave and a dear friend of hers, but Thana figured it was best to show respect to customers. Even if it was just for practice. She didn’t look to Amy, but was listening in case the woman gave her any suggestions.

Amy watched Thana step over. Her politeness was good, if seeming far too false. The words made the assumption that he was there to purchase as well, putting Dhiate in the position of having approached Thana first, instead of Thana seeking it out. That wasn't how Amy needed her to be though. She needed a suave merchant with the guts to approach a pack and propose trade. Good, but less sugar. You're too false. Remember, you're approaching them. Tell them how you can benefit them.

Turning to Dhiate Amy quickly did a mock of the words. I have come to trade. I have several items I promise with high quality. I can deliver from anywhere you wish. Would you like to view them? An invitation to view, stating why she was there, pulling him in with her wishes. She softly signaled for Dhiate to think about what he might need. Remember, they're warriors. She hoped that he could act well enough, Raoth fighting to hide a snigger from the criticism the pair was being plagued with.

Thana seemed just as nervous as he did when she stepped forward, but in an instant it disappeared and she was confident. Sucking in a breath he listened to her question and immediately put a hand to his chin as if in thought, but he wasn't thinking about his reply. One finger found its way to his mouth and he gently bit it as he would if he were deep in thought, but in this instant it was a reminder to keep from smiling. It was so strange to see his friend act like this.

It was easier to keep a straight face when Amy was giving Thana a little critiscm. During this time, he wondered how to reply. Should be be gruff and blunt, or nervous and stupid? He figured Thana would eventually meet all kinds of customers, but he wasn't sure which to portray. Before he could go too deep in thought, Amy saved him.

So they were warriors huh? That gave him a whole variety of replies and silently Dhiate went through each one to decide. He waited for a minute and then spoke in a slightly hoarser voice than normal. I suppose. Do you have any weapons or armor that are... He stopped and began to pace as if trying to rephrase it. Dhiate muttered inaubibly to himself, like he was trying to figure it out. He jerked to a stop and turned back. His movements weren't fluid and graceful as usual, they were gruff and blunt and impatient almost like he didn't have time for this nonsense. I need something that's quick and concealable. Nothing too bulky or heavy. His face held no humor or joy, it was the look of someone who honestly didn't care about anything.

Thana listened as Amy gave her advice and nodded once she was finished. She turned to Dhiate and gave an example of what she should say when trying to trade with Casa. Thana listened quietly and stored the words away in memory. Dhiate waited a moment to respond. Probably trying to think of a response. Thana had weapons she could trade but she didn’t have any armor. She would have to look into getting some before going to Casa. Dhiate sure seemed to be in character but Thana had no idea how to respond. She thought for a moment before looking at Dhiate again. I have a few pieces of armor but if they aren’t exactly what you’re looking for, I could obtain other pieces in no time.

Her hand went to rest on her hip as she waited for criticism from Amy or for Dhiate to respond again. Raoth seemed to think the situation was funny or something since he seemed to be fighting not to laugh. Thana was quickly becoming angry with how the slave was acting. If it was Dhiate, she wouldn’t have cared because he was her friend but Raoth she had just met.

Dhiate's actions were highly amusing. Amy watched with pleasure as he slipped into the role. It was still rough, Amy doubting that he had any true idea how warriors would act, but still very entertaining to watch. Amy would have to get Dhiate to perform for her sometime, just for entertainment. It was a much richer quality than she had expected. Then again, Amy had taught him how to fake pleasure when making love to a female, despite him being gay. That had to count for something.

The words were more hesitant this time, without the sure sale attitude, but still not quite right. You need to sound more confidant about what you're doing. He might not purchase anything, but at least it's because he doesn't want to trade, and not because of something you did. Raoth, Dhiate, switch. She knew Raoth could pull off a warrior, even if he couldn't speak, because he was trained as one. The main obstacle would be getting around the fact that Raoth couldn't speak. The coyote was quite shocked, stepping forwards with a scowl. A sharp gesture indicated for Thana to show her goods, something that would have gotten him reprimanded if it wasn't fitting for the character.
