Beaten Down

Amy was back, but it wasn't a peaceful feeling. Amy had been forced to accept what she was, a low ranked member. She didn't care for that fact at all. On her return Amy had begun training relentlessly, waking up as early as possible and working until she couldn't anymore. Food was irrelevant, eaten when pointed towards her, but otherwise forgotten. Raoth was utterly confused by this change, finding her attention on raising him to be a powerful warrior suddenly on an obsessive edge, unaware that he was being used to help her practice and grow stronger. She had to get better. There was no choice. If she wasn't strong she was weak, a stepping stool for others.

The crow that she had picked up, planning on using to help her interpret the crow alert system Anathema had, started making a pest of itself. No matter how hard Amy worked with it, trying to get it to stay silent and leave her alone, the crow made a racket. It always set the others off as well. It wasn't like the bird was abused by any means. She made sure that it had good food, ending up receiving better care than she was actually giving to herself at the time. It was dive bombing her now though, sending Amy snapping at it. It was just one more thing determined to wear on her nerves, driving her absolutely insane. At last Amy dropped to the ground, licking at her hands weakly, trying to clean the blood off from where they had cracked open. The bird still didn't shut up, yammering on. She didn't understand a thing it was saying, just hunched down and wishing that she'd never been so greedy, trying to use the pack for her own gain.

The atheed was making her rounds she did them almost daily mostly on horse back. But she was going around the inner pack lands. She was more or less training Shou to be her messenger. If she needed anything sent to anyone he was going to be the one to do it. She had no interest in Alaki's crow system. It kept those in the pack safe and as a leader thats what she cared about most. But aeron was rather annoyed because something was causing some of the crows wild or trained she didn't know to be upset.

Aeron huffed as shou ruffled his feathers and looked at her. Aeron shrugged as she nodded, Fly. With that the large black crow was off and searching. Aeron huffed and moved along, who was causing trouble. She found herself traveling closer to where Amy lived. Aeron was now more interested then anything.

Slowing her pace she pulled her black hood down. A crow rather upset and attacking the woman. Aeron watched for a moment Shou circling high in the sky. When amy ended up on the ground aeron moved in. Shou move in She commanded. The crow swooping in squaking at the other as he turned to land on his masters arm. What are you doing? she asked looking at Amy. Her body rang leader she was not letting the blonde beat her down again.

The crow flew off at the approach of the larger one. Sitting down it screeched in low speech, complaining about the blood. He was actually worried for the one that fed him, but she didn't seem to understand his drive, trying to get her to stop training. Amy sighed with relief, finally left alone. It still hadn't shut up, at least not for long before starting into another ramble. A voice cut through though, making her flinch. She didn't want to deal with anyone. Amy hated the imposed submission, hated the fear that another scream would come and send her into that frightening silence again, perhaps permanently next time.

Staying down Amy refused to look over to where Aeron was. Her ears were low, submissive, if her stiff body still screamed anger. I was training. The crow kept interrupting me. Amy would have killed it by now if it hadn't managed to stay out of reach. The blasted thing was far too clever. Do you need something? The words were bitter to the taste, asking to serve someone else. It made her sick just thinking about it. Perhaps she would have been better off as a loner. No, Amy would still have been defeated. It would have just put it off.

Aeron needed nothing from the iblis she actually was not really intending much other then a sweep when she heard the rucus. I was tending to my duties when i noticed most of the crows in this area were annoyed. They were chanting something about a rucus. She spoke. She found it funny to see the woman like this had anathema finally broken the witch.

Aeron held her head high as she lifted her arm Shou coming to land on it. Well don shou She spoke as the bird looked at her. Any time He spoke. high speech was something most carnivores spoke but crows mimiced it and it tended to only be phrases. Never long sentences and even the Atheed had to slow the crow down now and again when he spoke high speech.

Amy if you were training why are you on the ground? Aeron asked looking down at her. sun gold eyes watching her studying her.

Her gaze shot up as Aeron addressed another being. Who? The crow actually spoke then. What a shock. She hadn't been aware that they could speak at all. Seemed that her crow was even stupider than she'd thought. Or just unwilling to do anything for the female that had lost the will to break anything, even a simple bird. Shrugging her gaze returned to the ground, wondering if this was a good time to take the chance to turn the bird into stew. Actually have it serve a purpose beyond pestering her. Her body was refusing to listen to her though, not getting up when she tried to.

I was taking a break. Her voice managed to remain even. Amy didn't know if Aeron had seen what was happening, or the humiliation of being driven down by the bird, but she wasn't going to take any chances and admit to it. Better that she cover it up, hide the weakness. If she didn't, they would just use it as an excuse to send her down even lower. Not that she could sink down much farther, already among the bottom most members.
