10. Character Profile:
a. APPEARANCE – Hannah is a beautiful creature that can usually only be seen in her optime form. Her mother raised her to believe that the canines of this world were given the luperci virus in order to develop and grow, and reverting to her other forms would be disrespectful to ‘the creator.’ So she often strolls around on two legs, standing six feet tall and sporting a coat of various shades of grey, tan, and ivory. Her limbs are long and slender, and her body is tightly bound with elegant muscles that make her look like the goddess she believes herself to be. She often wears the long, lacey gown that she made for herself, a beautiful garment composed of a delicate, ivory satin. Her eyes are a striking blue, a hue so light that they almost look white. Her body is clean of scars or blemishes, and her flawless hair falls around her shoulders in loose, ash-blonde ringlets. On the off chance that she’s experiencing a lucid moment, she’ll use her lupus form to hunt, standing about four feet at the shoulders. But otherwise, she floats around like the two-legged dancers of the long-extinct human world, each movement slow and lovely.
b. BIOGRAPHY – Hannah was, quite honestly, a mistake. Fleeing from the duties assigned to her in her birth-pack, Hannah’s mother, Lisette Solstice, fell into the care of a rogue male bent on avoiding any sort of commitment. After she and the male parted ways, Lisette discovered she was pregnant, and was left to care for little Hannah on her own.
Lisette saw Hannah as an inconvenience from the moment she was born. However, she didn’t believe in murdering or abandoning pups, so she raised Hannah in the best way she knew how. Unfortunately, her bitterness tainted her love for her child, and Hannah suffered from a lot of neglect. Her daughter was viewed as a project, and Lisette counted down the days until she could send Hannah off to live on her own.
As she grew older, Hannah began to form ideas that greatly upset her mother. She called herself ‘a goddess trapped in a mortal’s body,’ and spent most of her time reading old books about mythology and the stars. When she sewed for herself the white gown, her mother locked her in the only room in their cabin and left her to starve. Once again, Lisette abandoned her responsibilities and fled, never to be found again.
Eventually, Hannah broke herself out of her mother’s bedroom, broken-hearted and confused. She packed what she could carry in Lisette’s medicine satchel, and then began to wander the lone wildernesses of Canada. Soon enough she grew to realize that her mother was a coward, and she set out to prove that she was just as important as she believed herself to be. It wasn’t long before she found herself in Nova Scotia, a place where she would later come to find a new home.
c. PERSONALITY – While incredibly kind, Hannah is also incredibly unstable. She imagines grandiose things, believing herself to be ‘a goddess trapped in a mortal’s body.’ She often dreams of accomplishing ground-breaking things, and talks to small animals like birds and squirrels in her spare time. She is capable of being a good friend, but any relationship built with her takes patience, as she is easily confused. However, in her moments of lucidity, she can be a very intelligent wolf, capable of leading others. But these moments don’t last long, and many view her as odd and dysfunctional.
When it comes to romance, Hannah is quite hopeless. She’ll be nice and maybe even flirt a time or two, but she gets her inability to commit and face responsibility from her mother. Although she is working to maintain her lucidity, she’s probably not a wolf that would be capable of climbing to high ranks in a pack anytime soon. In fact, she hardly knows what a pack is or how one works, as Lisette told her very little of her own pack experience. But Hannah has a sweet soul, and can be very entertaining on a good day. On a bad day, she’s just downright scary.

Welcome to 'Souls!

Congratulations! You've been accepted into the craziest bunch of roleplayers on the vast Internet! We encourage you to keep checking out our information; you can find a wealth of it on the RP Guide. Don't feel pressured to read it all at once -- the guide is a huge resource and is meant to be used as a reference.

If You've Joined the Game As a...
  • ... Loner, do begin considering which of the packs you'd like to join. Survival as a Loner is less realistic -- wolves and other canines are generally social creatures, preferring to live in a pack structure!
  • ... IC pack joiner, you can now begin posting -- you may start your IC pack joining thread whenever you're ready. Make sure you check the pack information to see if the leadership requires anything extra from you!
  • ... OOC pack joiner, the leader still has to respond here before you can start roleplaying -- don't worry, though; if you're rejected from the pack you'll be titled as a Loner, and you're free to pursue other packs or the same one later.
Post-Joining Process
Mandatory:
  • Make an In Character post within five days. Post a thread request to get started, or consider starting or replying to an open thread.
  • Please let us know in the Absentee Thread if you plan to be absent for more than four days.
  • Keep reading! While there's only a minimum of three topics you have to read to join the game, we provide a wealth of information for a reason -- we expect players to read and reference this material often while they roleplay at 'Souls.
Preferred:
  • If you're leaving us, please try to let us know in the Player Updates forum. There is no penalty for leaving; you're free to re-join at any time later.
Still Need a Bit of Help?

Post any questions you may have in the Questions and Help forum. Check the FAQ first, though! The Mentors can assist you with writing, roleplaying, and understanding 'Souls concepts. Failing all else, contact a staff member.

If you need help getting adjusted to your pack, you should talk to your pack leader! They can help you to understand the pack's rank system and how to get a better rank, as well as direct you to plots, potential thread partners, and active members of the pack who may be interested in engaging you.
