Kota sat beside one of the streams that fed into the falls, he stared at the water as it rushed by in a quiet reflection of his time here so far. No one seemed to like him except for Oak and Oaks mom, and that seemed to be because he spoke his heart at the last pack meeting. He promised, swore to be loyal but no one seemed to want him around anyway. And there was also the fact that he desired a mate; someone to love him and to love; he felt lonely and unwanted.
He picked up a pebble and tossed it into the water "can never step in the same river twice" he mused to himself. Kota turned his eyes skyward and gazed at he blue sky through the leaves on the tree tops high above him. He loved it here; it was peaceful and calm but he just wanted to fit in.
Kota shrugged mindlessly and looked back at the water and stared for a while before placing his hand in the cold stream. The coldness of it stung the skin under his fur but he didn't mind; he scooped up a handfull of pebbles and brought them out just to start tossing them back in once again.
