Raising an empire from the ground
#1
To be built in an open clearing, several yards straight in from the main gates of the Fort. Constructions should consist of a wood posts with a thick, rope railing and sand floor. Anyone is welcome to join in.

Morning came with a quiet grace and the dusty giant was there to greet the rising of the sun, rays reflecting within his dual eyes as he perched almost gracefully on the roof of the fort. It had taken little effort to haul his huge form up here, there was much strength stored in his wiry body and long limbs. Slowly the sky above him changed from a deep midnight hue to a lighter orange streaked sapphire. Early rising birds called cheerfully to each other and the beast stirred at least. The Knight male slowly tipped his head upwards to bask in the weak warmth of the morning sun.

It was a few days ago that Jazper had come to him with a grand idea in mind. Rings specifically for people to practice sparring in, that would be covered with sand from the whisper beach to cushion the impact of hitting the floor as well as making it harder to move, pushing people to use their muscles more. He had agreed of course, how could he not? It was a simple and yet ingenious idea. Stout wooden poles lashed and tied together by thick rope to provide the actual structure for the ring. Already Lorenzo had several idea's about how he would gather and transport the materials needed.

With the morning now well and truly started the Knight decided to move into action. Climbing down from the roof and landing upon the ground with an audible thump. He stretched briefly to ease his cramped muscles, appreciating how easily they knotted flesh let go of the troublesome pain, no doubt a result of his training. He would be using Buck-Eye as a pack mule today to ferry the sand and posts from place to place but first he needed to work out the dimensions of the ring. In the area that Jazper had suggested to build, Enzo began to mark a large circle into the ground with a long stick he had sharpened for the purpose.

Hadley was aware that with spring plenty of construction would be occurring in the pack lands. Of course, he was very heavily distracted with the fact that Isa was in heat, not wanting to leave her alone for too long. So many males came sniffing around at her, and Hadley had to make sure that each and every one of them was clear on the fact that she was his, and nobody else was going to be allowed to shag her, no matter how inviting she was and how she acted. It would be so much easier if she stopped flirting back, but he knew that it was difficult to control, as difficult as him not mounting her every hour of the day.

Coming out he glanced over, spotting one of the pack members that he'd worked less with dragging a stick over the ground. That was very odd. He stood there watching for a moment before shrugging and stepping over. He was careful not to smudge the lines made on the ground, but he still didn't have a clue why they were being made. With Isa still asleep Hadley was fairly sure it would be okay to be out here. Besides, he did have to eat some times. Hello. What are you doing? Maybe it was a bit ignorant, asking like a pup, but he didn't know what was being done.

Here’s Juliet to ask her 20 questions :3.

Word Count → 300+

Indigo eyes looked past her little spot in a small patch of wildflowers, unsure of what to do next. She had remembered being around Lorenzo when his dark colored father talked about constructing a place for others to train. Her mind flickered back to the festival and how there were rings that people stepped into to fight but not to hurt one another but to simply get better at what they were doing. Juliet herself was useless in that category but she always fascinated by how others were able to master it. It was just something strange, every time she saw a sparring match her mind seemed to flash back to partial memories of the day Lorenzo saved her life.

With a soft sigh she moved from her peaceful spot and headed back to Lorenzo’s room, but a figure caught her attention along the way. A rare smile came to her lips as she watched Lorenzo curiously, why was he drawing in the dirt? Was he trying to draw a picture? Her ears perked as another male approached, asking the very question she was going to ask as she walked closer to the dusted male. Her feet carefully stepped over the circular line as she stood almost in the middle, trying to figure out what he was drawing without really saying hello to him or the new male.

“Why are you drawing a circle? Does it have to do with what your dad talked about?” She questioned in her emotionless voice, looking at Lorenzo with curiosity gleaming in her eyes. Maybe she could help with whatever he was doing, though she was also curious about the unknown male that had asked the first question. Her eyes moved to him for a sort moment before focusing back on the circle that Lorenzo was drawing.

He was absorbed in his task, his guard relaxed this close to the Fort. He hardly had to worry about being attacked in the heart land of Casa. As he drew the circle he marked off every ten foot or so with a line perpendicular to the circle, that would be where the posts would go into the ground. Footsteps whispered across the ground announced the arrival of someone to encroach upon the task he performed in solitude. The dust colored man barely flickered his gaze upwards to catch a glimpse of who it was, the vaugely known Hadley, the same one that the blonde dog Amy had wanted to punish stood just inside his crudly drawn circle wanting to know what it was he was up to,

"Aye ya'llreet there?" He rumbled by way of greeting, at that same moment a prickle of awareness rolled down his spine, the hairs on his neck prickling and standing on end. His expression of concentration morphed into one of tender love as his Juliet strolled up to the pair of them, he nodded his head at her and responded to Hadley's question which Juliet echoed, "Ahh be markin' off whar I'll be ah buildin' tha' new sparrin' ring. Mah Da, Jazper, asked mehself tah make one 'rough aboots 'ere sa as tha othas can practise thar fightin'." He straightened from his hunched posture to his full height with a slight wince, bending over made his back ache after a time, and looked down at the smaller pair, scrutinizing them,

[color=green]"Yarr ah welcome tah 'elp if yah wants."
He knew that his Juliet would accept before he voiced his question to them, excitement and curiosity burned in her eyes, she was driven by her need to understand, to know, it would compel her to help if just to satisfy her interest.

His ears pricked at the words. It was difficult to make out with the thick accent, but he was fairly sure this male that Hadley only knew vaguely had asked him if he was alright. Perplexed he nodded his head, wondering why the wolf would think there was anything wrong with him. A look of pure love appeared on the grey male's face then, and it was only the scent of an approaching female that kept Hadley from being puzzled again. Glancing at the female his tail wagged softly in greeting. She was a beauty, enough to stir the desires that still lingered from being afflicted with the heady scent of Isa's body. There was no expression on her face, as emotionless as he himself had been, as Amy had been when considering something.

A sparring ring? That was for fighting. Hadley wasn't much of a fighter, though he probably should work on his defense skills. He didn't want to end up unable to protect those he cared for after all. The male straightened up, looking at the pair before him. Hadley nodded his head, glad for the choice of being able to help. It couldn't be too difficult. Hadley wanted to be useful to the pack, and this seemed a good way to do that. Hadley wasn't too sure what they would be doing, but he was strong. He could help out. What can I do?
