It has been a while since Axelle actually found herself on Anathema lands, in her den, petting Frex. The once small, young Egyptian Mau had grown more since she acquired him somewhere in the city from a man named Kansas, who was nice enough to share his weed with her. Frex was sitting with her at her stone table. He was on the table and Axelle sat on one of the chairs, which was just a hunk of rock shaped into a stool shape. The young male feline purred loudly as Axelle scratched his cheek and neck lovingly. Frex always stayed in the den, catching rodents and being lazy.

She paused with petting him to scratch her own head, and flip the overgrown hair out of her eyes. Her Mohawk was no longer a Mohawk as she didn’t bother to cut it anymore or style it like it was supposed to have been. It wasn’t newly dyed, and overall just a mess of hair. She was tired of the Mohawk look and was thinking about something else. She saw other wolves with long hair, and was thinking about trying that style out.

Axelle got up from the table, and Frex gave a frustrated purr as he watched her walk away and over to a shelf filled with jars of brownish liquid. She picked a lighter colored one from the end of the shelf and unscrewed the lid. She brought the jar to her lips and took a big gulp, making a scrunched face as the strong, home-made alcohol went down. ”Meowww…”

Apparently Frex wasn’t in the talkative kind of mood today. Axelle understood low-speech, but she didn’t hear any words come out of his mouth the whole time she sat there with him. Just meows. She came back to the table and sat down with her jar. She placed a few inches away from the cat, and Frex began purring lovingly again. He came over to her and rubbed his body along her neck affectionately. For some reason, Axelle was feeling down today. Maybe because Itzal had been absent from her life for so long. By now, though, she should have forgotten about him and moved on, but he stuck in her mind, and stayed where he shouldn’t have. She sighed and continued to pet the cat, ”How have you been, old friend?” She figured she’d try to talk to him, even if he wouldn’t volunteer conversation with her.

The cat continued to purr and rub affectionately on her, but he didn't talk to her. Frex jumped down from the table, and went out into the corridor. Axelle huffed, but followed him. She called after him, "Frex, are you mad at me?" She couldn't understand why if he was... The cat continued down the corridor until he reached the common room; then he jumped up onto one of the wooden tree stumps and began licking his paws clean. Axelle followed, and sat on another stump across from him. She kept an expectant expression as she watched him clean. Frex continued to clean his face and paws, and unexpectantly answered, "You never take me anywhere."

He laid there in the one of the pools at the hot springs. His back against one of the walls, his arms rested on the ground his head tilted back as he relaxed. Wooowww, this feels too good. Turning over, he folded his arms together and rested his chin on them. I can’t believe how bad I needed this. He gazed out into the dimly lit springs, the candles made just enough light to get around. The atmosphere down here was relaxing, so much different than his den. Finished he climbed out of the spring and shook vigorously getting what he could of the water out.

The Dasa didn’t go back to his den for there was nothing to do. Mido walked around the caverns aimlessly, he wasn’t wearing his pants because he’d gone to the springs prior. His fur was still damp as he made his way down the corridor, from one end to the other he walked by all the dens and right into the common room. The mutt was stopped in his tracks by the sight of Axelle. She was a pack member, but he had been shocked because he never saw her! Walking right up to her he happily greeted her. Hey Axelle! He noted that she had been starring at a cat. The male didn’t know if it was a stray or if the feline belonged to her. Who ‘s the cat? He pointed, gesturing to the small lap animal.

Malakai was a relatively new member of the Anathema pack, and as such hadn't quite explored all the pack's territory yet. He had been given a den by Naniko, his own personal space but had yet to fill it with any of his own belongings, simply because he didn't have any. Kai didn't really need much in the way of material possessions, he never had done. He had all the weaponry he needed - his claws and his fangs, he possessed brute strength and impressive speed in his Secui form and all the cunning and aggression he would ever need in his veins. It was his Secui form he chose to spend most of his time in, and as he familiarised himself with the common area of the pack land, this was the form he remained in.

He had already come across a number of pack members, most of which had been fairly friendly and had welcomed him, except one. Amy. Malakai still carried a wound to his rear right flank, and though it was healing and bandaged, still it caused his movement a little impairment, giving him a slight limp. However, this female, this Amy, had led him innocently enough into a place he wasn't familiar with, with little light and uneven, trecherous ground. An error in his footing had disturbed the ground and had caused Kai to have to dive from harms way, opening up the wound once more. She would pay for her trick, but he had not come across her since.

Currently sitting by himself in the common area, Malakai was curling around himself to inspect his wound, peeling off the bandage just enough to take a peek, to check it was healing once more, no thanks to that Amy. However, as he sniffed the air, his muscles bunched a little in tension, and his large head turned, his feral gaze casting over to see the cat, sitting there casually, cleaning itself. Watching it for a moment, Kai's gaze turned darker - he wasn't much of a fan of felines, and snorted with a hint of a growl at the animal, glancing over to the male and female who seemed to be closest to the mangy thing. "A pack of Luperci is no place for an animal such as that..." Kai was obviously not in a great mood, not liking the fact he had to share any sort of space with a cat. "We should be out chasing those things, not petting them and feeding them as pets."

I don’t really know what low speech actually sounds like, but that’s what she speaks to the cat… and unless your character knows low speech, then they can’t understand what they’re saying Wink [WC: 504 || Points: 5]

It wasn’t long before her and Frex were joined by other pack members. Mido, as she remembered, and another who she didn't recognize was in the corner the whole time. She once gave Mido sword lessons, and she wondered if he’d gotten any better since the last time she’d seen him. ”Hey Mido!” She was rather happy to see a friend, rather than a random stranger. She wasn’t sure if he was in the pack when she last saw him though… That part she couldn’t recall. ”The cat is Frex. My companion. She shot a dirty look at the dark furred brute in the corner. She ignored him for now. ”So, how are you Mido?”

She sat in the middle of a row of tree stump seats. There were four on each side, four on the side she was sitting and four on the other side. It was possibly a circle at one point, but someone must have moved them to better accommodate something. There was a lit fire pit in the middle that sent an eerie glow on everything around, even each of the wolves' eyes. The cat's eyes glowed brightly with green orbs, thanks to the darkness mixed with the light of the fire. The floor was mostly dirt, some areas more rocky than others, and some areas more sandy than others. There were also torches that hung on certain parts of the walls as well, but they barely made a difference compared to the light the fire pit gave off.

She couldn’t help sneaking glances back at the dark brute. He interested her, but she didn’t want to be rude to her friend. Once their conversation came to a pause, she addressed this injured wolf, ”Have you ever tasted cat? It’s not something one would want to find themselves chewing on often. It’s actually pretty gross.” Her reply to him was snide as she didn’t like how he was speaking about cats. Even though Frex didn’t do much but eat and sleep, and hunt the occasional rat- he was still a companion to her and she was glad she rescued him.

Her two-toned eyes glowed from the dim firelight, and she continued to scowl at him from her seat. She was now aware that this wolf would have no problem eating her friend. ”Come here, Frex.” She patted the stump next to her, and the cat ignored her. He kept licking and cleaning his fur, ignoring the danger behind him and most of everything else around him. Axelle growled lowly.

There were plenty of seats around her for Mido to sit, and for the male to come closer and join the conversation. After she gave up on glaring at him, she spoke to him with a voice loud enough for him to hear her across the room, ”What’s your name, dark one?” They were in the same pack, which meant she would have to get over her bitterness or face punishment from Naniko or Alaki. She didn’t like this male already, though.

Axelle seemingly cheerful to see him returned the greeting in response. Apparently the cats name was Frex, it was her little companion, understandably. Anathema’s inhabitants had their fair share of pets, like Aeron and her cat Thisle, or the Itou’s with their crows. The male figured there was just this innate need to have something to take care of for the canines here. The black colored wolf slightly off to the side and behind him piped up about the feline, unrecognizable he was obviously new to Anathema. The mix didn’t understand the male’s overwhelming distaste for the feline. He turned his head ever so slightly; giving the unknown canine the Husky glare of irritation. His upright ears caught the question of the female warrior. I’m good. Granted they were in the same pack everybody was always busy with whatever they were doing. He rarely saw her; the last time they had been in close company was when she helped teach him sword basics… until he lost it. And what about you? He noticed that Axelle looked different from last time. He wasn’t totally certain what made her different, he thought it was her hair that changed; either way he thought she looked good.

Moving closer the Huskadore picked up one of the stump seats and thumped it down in the dirt, sitting down close to the woman. The warmth granted by the small fire was welcomed; his fur was still a little damp from the spring. With his rump on the stump he wriggled around really getting it into the ground so it wouldn’t tip and him go over. Mido couldn’t help but snicker a little when she made the comment about cats being gross to eat. It really wasn’t that funny; but he found it humorous because he never actually considered eating a cat before even though he was a dog. The Marbas called for her companion, but the feline just did as it pleased and continued to groom itself.

The split colored female asked the name of the recent addition. The little fire gleamed in his eyes, illuminating ice cold blue in combination with the brown in his left eye. His focus on the male, his posture remained open and receptive of all. He awaited the answer to her inquiry. Mido had been a little curious, being new to Anathema made him a Zepar. It would be wise for the male to show acknowledgement and be respectful to higher ranked members.

Malakai's feral gaze didn't move from the smug little feline, and when its female owner stressed that it was her companion, Kai made another dismissive snorting noise. Look at it, he thought. Strutting around the place, in amongst all these predators, all these proud creatures. Alaki had called upon a bird when he had met the male at the pack border, and so it made him think. Did perhaps all of this pack have these.. companions? He was sure that he hadn't seen one with Naniko, but then again, he was new. Perhaps the Alpha female, the Angelo, didn't trust Kai enough to let her be around whatever 'pet' she chose to keep...

His eyes barely shifted from the cat as it cleaned itself, its scent drifting through the air like a taunt to the black male. Kai couldn't help but curl his upper lip, baring his fangs just a little, before his attention shifted over to the female when she mentioned about the rather unappealing taste of cat. His silent growl turned into something of a dark smirk, and slowly he lifted himself from the floor and stretched a little, making sure as to not extend his leg too much in case of re-opening the wound once more, only to watch Axelle call the cat over, and chuckling to himself at the cat's reluctance to move.

Remaining in his Secui form, Kai inhaled deeply, filling his large chest before he slowly padded over, a little closer to the feline, though his eyes remained upon the female and her male friend. "Actually, I have tasted cat. And you're right, there's not much meat on the little rodents. But their eyeballs are delicious..." His focus moved back to the arrogant feline. "I take them right out of the skull, the fresher the better." Malakai gave the cat a dangerous grin, as if daring him to stay where he was, before snapping his jaws together rather playfully. Kai knew this would annoy the female who was probably more than a little possessive of the pet. "And my name is Malakai." With that, he turned to face the female and male a little more before bowing his head, though that dark, mischevious grin remained upon his features. "A pleasure."

Mido’s conversation made her relive his little outbreak while she was attempting to train him. She wondered what caused it for a long time, but she didn’t stress it. It wasn’t any of her business anyway, and now she didn’t care about it because he looked good. He looked like he got over it, and she was happy about that. ”I’m fine. I found some things to keep me busy, and I’ve been traveling around a lot so that’s been keeping me entertained.” Her interest in Mido’s conversation fell away when she saw the male get up and walk closer to Frex. She was quiet, and didn’t take her eyes off of him.

When he stood near her furry feline companion and began talking about cat eyeballs, Axelle almost lost in. Her anger was being held on by a string and she was sure that if she was in Secui form she would have attacked him already. When the big black wolf snapped at Frex, a deep, loud snarl rose from Axelle’s throat. She jumped up from the seat, and just stood there growling at him because she couldn’t do anything to a pack member. The feline finally felt the need to move, and quickly. He scattered off of the stump, and bolted down the hall back toward Axelle’s den without a word.

”If you ever come near my cat…!” She was pissed, but she couldn’t do anything about it. He didn’t physically do anything to hurt Frex, and she couldn’t act on her anger on Anathema lands, so she sat back down on her stump. All her wolf hairs were standing on edge, and she almost looked like an angry fur ball. Her sentence remained unfinished, and she put her head in her hands. ”Wait until I find you off of Anathema lands…” She wasn’t promising anything, but if he caught her in a bad mood…

”Malakai…” She snorted, and looked up at him from her hands. He struck a chord with her, an angry chord. After a few seconds of calming herself, she attempted to continue her conversation with Mido, ”Did you ever pursue your Warrior career?” Her nose could tell her many things, but a co-rank wasn’t one of them. That would have to be found out by actual voluntary conversation.

The Dasa listened intently as she explained that she was keeping busy, traveling, and ultimately staying entertained. It was good for him to hear that she was doing well. He himself didn’t do much traveling in all actuality, he generally left Anathema when he needed something couldn’t get at home. Although maybe it would do him good to get out more often, rather than just hang around Anathema all the time.

Mido watched the Secui formed male carefully, nearly stalking Frex as he approached them. The Zepar commented that he had eaten cat before, apparently there’s not enough meat for him. He liked their eyes more so, as fresh as it gets straight from the animal. The dark male mischievously snapped his jaws at the lap companion, thus angering the Marbas before introducing himself as Malakai. She was ever upset by the new comer’s actions toward her cat, but she kept herself in check, only giving him a verbal warning. Mido could only slowly shake his head in silence. That’s a good way to make friends! The mutt was far from impressed by his actions so far.

Redirecting her attention from Malakai she asked if continued down the warrior path. It’s a work in progress, still a Dasa. Scratching his head laughed and gave her an enthusiastic smile. He was still a Dasa and had yet to reach the rank of Marbas, but making the decision become a warrior for Anathema was the right choice.

WC:: 359 - OOC I may have improvised on the location of his den lol, please forgive my lack of exactness.

Kai had been told the rules and regulations that he had to abide by here, and knew the same went for the other pack members. He knew fine well that there could be no attack made on another Anathema member unless an attack was made on them first, and he was taking full advantage of the fact that the female couldn't act. After all, Kai was keeping a little distance between him and the cat. Malakai chuckled darkly as the female stood and growled at his actions, and he saw the feline itself decide to shift, watching it dash out and back towards wherever it had sauntered from. It was like his own little victory, and the smug look in his eye echoed the smirk he offered to both the female and male.

As the female snarled her threat and sat back down, defeated, Kai chuckled lowly to himself, the arrogance clear in him as he briefly shook himself down, but caught the male shaking his head at Kai's behaviour. Malakai let his feral gaze sweep over Mido, snorting at his obvious distain towards the black male. Kai should be making friends, allies, but this was much more fun, for now at least. His eyes returned to Axelle, focus moving over the female like any typical male - like she was simply a piece of meat. "Hmm, I can hardly contain my excitement, Princess. I look forward to it." He had heard the male mention her name, Axelle, but for now he kept the fact that he knew it to himself.

Kai slowly bowed his head, though kept his smirk, tainting his show of respect, before moving a little closer, finding that he had to pass the pair to head back to his den. He padded slowly towards them, and slowed as he passed by, smirking arrogantly to both creatures. Just as he moved away, he turned to glance over his shoulder. "Oh, in case you don't see me outside of Anathema lands, my den is third on the right at the end of the hallway... I'm willing to settle any disagreements or threats, just give me a yell."

Axelle tried to ignore Malakai as much as she could, but she couldn’t help the fact that her eyes always wanted to wander back to him to see what he was doing, or how he was looking at them. She tried to concentrate as much as she could on her and Mido’s conversation. ”So, you actually pursued your warrior career after all that? That’s good. Being Dasa is progress, just keep up the good work!” Her eyes shifted away from Mido as she realized that the brute was coming towards them. She made sure she kept her eyes locked on him the whole time he passed. The smirk on his face bothered her, but she let him go and gave no mind to his offer.

She turned back to Mido to continue their conversation, and her heart leapt into her throat. Malakai went down the same hallway as Frex ran down, and she didn’t know if the cat stuck around in the hallway or actually went back to her den. She jumped up, ”I’m sorry Mido, but I have to make sure that monster doesn’t eat my cat!” She walked quickly toward the hallway that the two went down, and called over her shoulder, ”We’ll talk some other time, okay?”

She wasted no time darting down the hallway, hoping to find him, pass him, and see where Frex went before he found him. It didn’t take her long to find Malakai lumbering down the hallway. ”You didn’t find my cat, did you?” She was sure if he did, there would be a lot of blood. She didn’t see any, which calmed her nerves only a little. ”..but if you did, there are ways of finding out.” She was good with the threats; she was good with actions, too, but she was highly restrained due to her respect for Anathema rules. She felt like she was handcuffed, mentally, and she wanted to find the keys fast.

The instant he turned towards the hallway, Malakai smirked darkly to himself, knowing the female and male couldn't see it. That cat had darted this way barely a moment ago. Its scent was still fresh and it can't have gotten that much of a head start on him. Of course, Kai didn't have much intentions of actually eating the animal - after all, he was part of a pack now and had to behave accordingly, but he liked to make the female think that he would. His pace picked up just a little, into a light trot as he made his way down the hallway, his keen nose sniffing the air, his eyes trailing the ground to see if he could pick up any small paw prints. However, just as he figured the animal had probably returned to its owners' den, he heard the female yell.

Kai's smirk simply grew as the female asked if he had found her cat, and he let his tongue loll to lap at his muzzle as if he had just finished a meal. "Hmm, the little hairball didn't get too far, so I gobbled it up." Malakai chuckled darkly, his head cocking to the side, his eyes fixating upon her own. "Though you were right... Not much meat on their bones. Scrawny little thing, not even worth picking at, so I just ate it whole." There was something dangerous in his eyes, something that looked like a challange - he was lying, of course, but there was a flame in his eyes, an arrogance, a cockiness that suggested that maybe, just maybe, he was telling her the truth. With a devilish grin upon his muzzle, the black male snapped his jaws mischeviously, just as he had done to the cat only moments before, his eyes locked upon the female. Everything about Malakai was designed to provoke a reaction, everything he did was to, more often than not, irritate them. A trouble-maker by nature, he made more enemies than he did friends. In fact, Kai didn't have many of the latter - he had allies, though they were few and far between. He was one to burn his bridges too quickly, one of his many downfalls, and tended to hold a grudge for a lifetime.

Axelle watched with hidden horror as the male licked his lips as if he just finished some cat. Her eyes widened, but her face didn’t show any sign of his words affecting her. She lifted her nose toward the ceiling and attempted to smell him out. She didn’t smell any death in there, which told her Malakai was lying, and she thought she could smell a faint hairball in the distance. Probably right on her bed, which was where he liked to leave them. Dirty little pussy... she thought with slitted eyes. She wasn’t looking forward to cleaning the hairball off of her bed.

”Lies,” she hissed and snapped her head back in his direction. ”For a second there, I almost believed you. Almost.” Her eyes locked on his, and even though she didn’t think much of him, she could tell they liked the same things. He challenged her, which she liked and somehow kept herself coming back for more. No other male has really stuck around to keep challenging her like Malakai did. Maybe that was why she couldn’t get enough of him.

Her eyes were locked onto his, and she slowly began to pass him. His yellow eyes were mesmerizing and it felt like they pulled her in. She wanted him to pull her in, but then again she didn’t. She refused to let any male pull her in and take over her control again, but she wanted to let Malakai have all the control he wanted on her. Her eyes never left his until she felt her neck straining. ”Till next time, then.” Then she looked forward and walked toward her own den. She didn’t exactly want to leave him, but she was confident she would see him again.

As she walked down the hall, she shook her head attempting to rid all the crazy thoughts she just conjured. His eyes really did pull her in, and they almost made her weak. She peeked over her shoulder at him, but quickly looked frontal again. That wouldn’t happen again.

And there it was. Exactly what he had been aiming for. He saw her eyes grow wider in fear that he might actually be telling the truth. One thing about Malakai was that sometimes, it was hard to tell what was lies and what may hold a spark of truth to it. She hid her horror well, but he kept his gaze on those eyes of hers that betrayed her confident mask. His own smirk simply broadened, showing her exactly how much he enjoyed the mischief and terror he created. As she discovered his deceit, he let out a low chuckle, keeping his eyes firmly locked upon her own as she began to move past him, and secretly, as she passed him, he inhaled her scent deeply, filling his lungs with it. It was intoxicating to him, slightly sweet and before he knew it, his interest was hooked.

This female hadn't backed down easily, she had stood her ground against him and that was something that he very much liked. Someone with fire, with a spark in them. It was important - Kai had a wandering eye and it took something like that to keep his attention. As this female walked away from him, his eyes of course followed, sweeping over her form in more detail that he had done before, his tail slightly swaying behind him. With each step she took, he felt more of an urge to move after her, but he faught it back. To let her know that she had his interest was unthinkable, and so he acted as nonchalantly as was possible for him, chuckling quietly to himself. And yet, he couldn't pull his eyes away, no matter how hard he tried. He watched her for a long moment, that dark grin plastered upon his face, before he realized that he would have to head after her at some point to get to his own den, where he had been heading in the first place. Briefly, he shook himself down before he slowly moved along the hallway, the same way as the cat and female had both headed, towards his den, sniffing the air as he savoured the scent of her, still heavy in the air.
