Time had been peaceful for the dark couple. Shadow and Insomnia had grown closeer than ever over the past days. Small challenges had been placed in there way coming in forms of a stranger wolf named Alex and of mostly boredom and other small problems. But other than that there time together had been perfect. Shadow was in his Lupus form and he was running with a big smile on his face. Where could she have gone? He saw her come into this area and he ran in to catch her off guard and yet his angel was not there. Perhaps she saw him coming and was playing hide and seek? Shadow sniffed the air and gave a little whine as his tail moved fast behind him.

He was going to tackle her and play with her a little and spend as much time with her due to the new stranger that had appeared in New Dawn. He wasn't sure of the Wolfe name but he was some kind of story teller and Insomnia really wanted to go to it and with a friend of hers no doubt. Shadow loved and trusted Insomnia and of course wanted her to be able to do things but he was like a attention seeking pup at that moment. He wanted to give Insomnia his time and a proper send off before she went to listen to the story teller and saw her friend.

Shadow looked around and his tail was still swaying quickly behind him as he started to move slowly and his ears were alert as he listened for any movement. As he moved and listened for his love he heard it and his tail started to really move as some was getting closer, trying to get the jump on him. He could have turned and caught the angel who was sneaking behind him but letting her get the jump on him was much more fun. Insomnia? Love are you here?

The graying clouds of an early morning spring, imprisoning the brightly painted yellow star that provided the light upon this earthly realm. Angels were shedding their tears, the droplets of rain that cried with euphoria, or it was a bitter sorrow. whatever the angels were shedding their tears over, it rained regardless. the rain danced in the dulling graying clouds, washing the earth’s canvas from the blackening sins that had been created and yet to be destroyed. playing by the shoreline of the river, it had been near to impossible to make out where the youngster was – let alone what she was. . mud had clung to her black body, smoothing it down giving her this more emaciated, sickly appearance.

"chharrrggee!” she squeaks. she pauses for a moment then rolls over into the mud again. she waits a few moments before quickly bouncing back to her paws. "we wooonn!” she giggles. she had ended her little drama, plopping her hindquarters to the ground, the mud making a sloshing noise as she had done so. she rolls around in the mud like a piglet trying to keep cool in the blistering spring heat. the rain continued to shower down, as if attempting to aid in cleansing the child but to no avail.

a loud croaking noise had strung into her ears, it was a noise that was similar to what she has heard before, her interest had been quickly sparked. insomnia quickly sat up in the mud and perked her ears. she saw him than. HI SHADOWFANG!!! she called from the muddy spot she was in, hoping he would be able to tell it was her.

Shadow kept walking looking for his love and he then heard a voice and he knew it belonged to his mate from how many times he had heard it. It sounded like she was having fun somewhere. What kind of fun Shadow could have never guessed. Shadow came around a tree and then he saw it. A black mess of mud and dirt and within the mud was a green and blue eyes that shown beautifully from the mud monster in front of him. He laughed a deep happy laugh at seeing his angel, now the angel of mud. She was like a puppy and when he looked to her he had a large need to just jump in the mud and join her.

It couldn't be bad, getting muddy? It's not like he was going anywhere anytime soon. He padded over and smiled big down at her seeing the mud drip from her pelt. Excuse me, would you happen to know where the love of my life is, She is a beautiful, happy funny, caring, blue and green eyed goddess and I have missed her so and have been wanting to kiss her and hug her and play with her all day but I can't seem to find her? Could you help me?

Shadows tail started to life and moved to make a wag lightly behind him as he looked to his beautiful mess. They had grown so close and had become so happy. He must have died and gone to heaven because no wolf would be lucky enough to have a girl like the one he had now. Shadow looked down to the mud and he pushed his right paw into it and it was surprisingly deep and slick, one wrong move and he would easily fall into the mud that had claimed his love, but would that be so bad? Of course not!
