ooc: This is made Private to reaffirm who is still in the Wentworth and where to go from here. April 29th. No posting Order

Dreams came in varying forms; those that were meant to bring comfort to the troubled mind or surface the darkest fears to prepare one for the cruel reality that awaited across the threshold into the tangible plain. Some dreams were meant to warn, others to inspire and bring forth a hope, a desire to be made real.

To the waking mind of a lone wanderer, nestled within the warmth of her den with charges laying against her, she perceived the dreams of her homeland, of her Shepard and the countless paws of their ever traveling family as the blessed sign to carry on when it appeared her path had ended. The days past she had fallen into the stagnant state she wanted no part of; sedimentary without purpose, left to wallow in her miseries as though she were the only one made to suffer. With her blind eyes, she had ignored what rested in front of her and turned her muzzle away from the gracious gifts that ancestors had bequeathed to her. Though small, inexperienced, and not of her own blood, they were still there and provided for her a purpose to carry on… even if it was just for them.

But not only them. Again the souls of the generations past granted her a gift in the form of a friend, kind and understanding with a commendable loyalty she felt she did not deserved but longed for. She could not dismiss this, nor turn her back from it to further wander down a path with no beneficial end. Rather than remain blind, she needed to see… and through her dreams, the guiding light of her father’s image, she had found the will to open her eyes and embrace this life as it had come to be, and not only for herself… but for those she cared for, make something of it and see it to its end.

By noon her resolve had grown and with fully opened eyes and mind awake she began to think. Waking her companion from his slumbers, her kind and heartening friend, she professed to him the contents of her dreams as of late and her interpretations of what she believed them to mean. Always when she closed her eyes did she see the paws of her family carrying with them the pride instilled through the bond of the pack, their love for each other and the purpose they found not only for themselves but those they were responsible for. It was more than a feeling instilled by a dream, but a desire that had grown, beginning first as a seed sprouting small leaves in need of tending. But such a plant could not be tended by her own paws. It needed the encouragement to grow by those willing to see it come to fruition…

He would have been lost without this place. Without the land that was Ichika and the wolves who had walked upon it, nothing would have held meaning. Now that home and those who had attracted the best parts of him were disappearing. Most of the wolves were gone. What was left now? Memories and pain seemed like a commodity that couldn’t be shaken off or seen properly. Regret and guilt were something he felt regularly. But below all the bad and past all the hard earned wounds there was something here for him still. His friend. Her autumn hued coat still stood in these lands where they had first met. She kept the den here with her young ones and carried a heart he knew had to be damaged by the loss of so much.

For anything to have sustained the dissolving of all he knew, nothing and no one would have been more valued. So with no pack to be ashamed for any longer and only a friend whom needed something stable just like he did the injured wanderer had chosen to stay. It hadn’t been an easy choice to make but he regretted not a single moment he spent near her.

What the future held had been left completely to fate as far as Jaden had been concerned. He saw nothing ahead of them but living simply in these lands for a time. When his companion woke him from where he had fallen asleep guarding the mouth of her den, he was mystified by what she offered. For a time, he just asked questions and sought out the true depth and meaning behind her words. A pack. Being a leader. Were these things he could take on? He had doubts in himself but the warm words of his friend were so comforting, so convincing. This was something she wanted and he realized he wanted it for that reason alone. He couldn’t leave her or shun the idea because he truly believed she had the ability to lead. Whether he did or not was questionable but together what could stop them?

When his questions ended and he was filled with all he felt he needed to know he took a small amount of time to ponder it. Such a thing was deserved from such a proposal. But it wasn’t long before he smiled at her fondly with a spark of ambition threatening to alight his deep blue eyes. Where to start? He questioned his friend and listened intently for what she would answer to this new question.

Having lived near the ocean for a long time, and having been raised near it, Chara knew how to fish and sew a net. And so she had bought a netful of fish to share with her new pride members, of which she was still uncertain that they had actually disbanded. Though… It made no surprise that they lacked cohesiveness, living as far apart as they did.

By her definition they were still a pack, Chara Linard was meeting more wolves of the pack ever since the supposed disband that had happened. She blinked a little as she saw that the Alphaess had pups… Well that didn't make sense. She hadn't smelled like a mother. No milk. It looked like this alpha male was slacking in providing the future of the pack.

But he was taken at least, and that was comforting all on its own. And to the alphas no less. Her sister was safe in this place. "Hello X, I've brought soma prey to share." Chara Linard woofed, merging back into full wolf form as she opened the net and set it before their home.

ooc: Still have permission from Raine to npc Sophie and Boothe.

She spoke as though still taken by her dream, expressing more a feeling than a literal way to go about making this a reality. The more she wished for her little seedling to come to its budding phase, she feared it would not be possible without it first being understood as the kind of plant it was. The questions proposed by her friend made her wonder if she was a silly for taking on such a task as tending this seed planted by a dream. But the more they discussed, they more she came to realize that it was not an impossible feat. It would be tended... it could be understood, perhaps if by one then by others as well.

The day went on with them in an elated discussion, earning the curiosity of the pups as they listened with open ears. 'Home' was what they cared to hear, and rather than 'pack', 'family' had become the desired term. And so, X'yrin continued to address them all as the family she saw in her mind's eye. Different and strange, but none the less a wonderful collaboration that in her heart felt that strove for the same desire in the end.

So enthralled in conversation, the she-wolf nearly jumped as she was addressed by the more reserved of the Linard pair, wearing a smile of embarrassment at her obvious show of fright. "Chara," she smiled to the young female, raising from the ground to greet her with an endearing lick across the muzzle. "We are glad you're here... there is something we-" "We've got something to talk about!" piped a very excited voice from behind the golden female. Boothe came running forward to Chara, already exhibiting his affinity toward the word 'family' and the comfortable actions that came with it. With his tail swaying excitedly he sat in front of the hybrid female, for once ignoring food to favor something else. "We're all going to be a family!" "Well... there is more to it than that..." X'yrin added with a more subdued excitement but still kept her tail high and waving contently. "We had hoped to speak with both you and your sister about a proposal..."

They spoke throughout the day. Two elements of leadership with very different backgrounds, very different experiences came together and began to form something spectacular. Never had he participated in a conversation like this. To found a pack on morals, ideals, and culture had to happen. If it didn’t there would be no packs, good or bad. Ichika had to have gone through the same thing just as Uva Atka, Jaden’s original home, had to have. It something that happened but never really discussed. It almost felt wrong to build something like this through words alone. It needed substance, heart, more than they could give with their simple words.

But they were that heart. The substance would be their claimed land and the members of their family. He saw one of these members approaching from the corner of his eye but did not move his gaze or his attention from the woman he had been speaking with for hours. And when Chara surprised X’yrin, there was a bit of fiendish amusement to be had on his obsidian features. She moved to speak Chara and young Boothe followed her. His understanding of the implications shocked Jaden a bit. He had known the little ones to be close but had assumed they did not truly have interest in his and their caretaker’s conversation.

The Alaskan stepped forward next to the other proposed Alpha and completed her thought. From there, he leapt into the generous pool of information they had thus far collected, outlining possible lands to scout, influences from their cultures, and even basic rules and customs. There was so much to discus and the two alpha shared with their packmate, and with the help of young Boothe, the foundations of a pack. The foundation of their new home.
