OOC here!

So hungry. Sidra hadn't eaten in a while, she'd neglected to hunt for herself and had turned down Kativa's offers to get them some food. Just being the stubborn woman that she was. Instead, sitting by the fireside listening to her companion's stories while they shared a bottle of whine. Good times. Now, she had to hunt or she'd whither away to nothing being the thin wolf she was.

She was standing on top of a small hill in Secui form, overlooking her surroundings. Ears perked forward intently listening for nearby sounds. Nose wiggling in front of her as she tried to pick up a scent. Soon, the scent of a small mammal. wafted to her. Head shifted to the left as she spotted it, a rabbit burrowing a hole a few yards off. Sidra silently made her way to some bushes behind the unknowing creature. She wasted no time waiting. Seconds later she bound after it, the poor rabbit immediately turned to run. It was too late, Sidra's slender jaws were already around the small creature's neck. An audible snap was heard and the rabbit hung lifeless in her mouth. "Ha! Silly rabbit." She uttered, her voice muffled by the rabbit.

Before she ate, she should set up camp. The sun hung low in the sky signalling that night was soon to fall. She needed to set up a fire so Kativa could find her in the dark. Sidra dropped the rabbit and began her shift back to Optime form. It took about five minutes and when she was done she grabbed the rabbit by the ears and made her way to a small patch of trees where she'd left Soloman. The dun stallion whinnied at her arrival, kicking his feet into the soft grass. She simply gave him a shush and rummage through the packs on his back, trying to find the matches Kativa had given her to start the fire. Usually she was the one out late. Once she found them, she went to gather some wood. A few big logs that would last for a few hours, and some smaller sticks to start it.

Starting the fire was a quick process with the use of the matches and soon it was blazing in front of her. Warming her dark fur. She retrieved a half empty bottle of white whine from her pack, then went to sit by the fire. When she was settled, she began to eat morsel she'd caught. Blood still warm when she bit into it. "Aaaah." She sat by the fire enjoying the meal, Soloman keeping her company. Her ears erect, listening carefully for any threats as well as Kativa's return.

She wasn't far from the pack. Dalgina had woken up with the rising moon shining through the dark house. She had stared out, watching the glistening moon reflect over everything inside. It had called to her, a private whisper. This was just for her. Dalgina was the goddess of the night after all. Quietly she slipped through her siblings, careful not to disturb them. Against the darkness her pitch black fur was a gift, letting her move over the lands as nothing more than a shadow. Even her eyes were dark, no glow to give herself away.

She had traveled under this until she passed the borders. Dalgina climbed up a hill, working on moving even closer to the stars that shone overhead. A glinting fire caught her attention, and the pup paused. She watched it for a short time, noting the warmth that it gave off. It was a fallen star, come to the ground to dance there. Dalgina turned, working her way over there instead of continuing her path up the hill. Abruptly the dark female stopped as she saw someone sitting there. Dalgina stayed where she was, longing to move closer and fearful of the stranger.

The warm glow of the fire cast shadows on the ground her and Soloman. They seemed to dance with each movemen the fire made. It hissed and crackled. Soothing noises against the cold and silent night. She made quick work of the rabbit only eating half. Maybe Kativa would be grateful to consume the other half when she returned, her appetite was rather poor at the moment. Once she was done, she licked her fingers and muzzle clean of the rabbit's blood and washed the whole thing down with several swigs of whine. The liquid had a warming effect on her throat and was sweet. Perfectly contrasting the meaty flavors of the rabbit. It was delightful. Her tail swayed behind her with utter content. Nothing was better than enjoying a delicious meal by the fire.

The black and gold she-wolf lay back using her arms to prop her up. She let her head fall backwards and stare up at the sky. The stars were seldomly seen. Camouflaged underneath the thin layers of dark clouds that imposed on the lovely night sky. She gave a small pout, trying to view the stars anyways. Her efforts were interrupted by the scent of a stranger. Hackles immediately rose and a deep growl rumbled in her chest. She acted quickly, moving to Soloman and rummaging through his pack until she found her dagger. Then she turned to the dark landscape. Nothing was visible more than ten feet from where she stood by the fire. Only darkness. But, someone was out there watching her.

Sidra didn't get the feeling that it was a threatening presence, but one could never be too sure. So, she held the knife at her hip ready to strike if need be. "I know you're out there. Show yourself. Come out from the darkness so I can see who it is that's been spying on me." Sidra's nose wiggled in front of her as tested the sent. It was a female, which calmed her nerves some.

The stranger didn't seem dangerous. She was just laying there, looking at the sky. Much like Dalgina had been doing. Maybe it would be safe to get closer. She inched forwards slightly, the light of the fire just beyond her, a dark patch against the light. A growl stopped her dead. Immediately Dalgina crouched down, fearful. She didn't want to be hurt. A knife glinted in the light, right before her. She was going to die!

A small whine came from her at the words. Come out? Dalgina didn't want to come out. She wanted to remain hidden. The pup backed up some, considering what she would be doing. It didn't seem there was much choice. She crawled forward, tail tucked low as she entered the circle. Her submissive pose was clear, unsure of the stranger before her. Brown eyes blinked up as she adopted to the soft light from the flames.

OOC here!

Sidra's opal eyes narrowed as she tried to spot the wolf against the blackness. It was impossible. A moment later a whine pierced the silence of the night causing Sidra to tilt her head with confusion. Her ears flicked back with wonder. She dare not lower her knife yet, not until the wolf showed herself. Slowly, from the inky background, the stranger approached. A charcoal wolf inched towards her, posture low and submissive. Sidra's complete demeanor changed when she saw that the girl was just a pup. She was quite young, paws still too big for her small body. Fur as black as the night that surrounded them. The hand the dagger was held in lowered at her side, she spun it around so the pointy edge was facing behind her. Her posture relaxed and her tail began to sway behind her. Though, she still wouldn't trust the young creature. Her trust was something she rarely handed out and it was to be earned. But, this one didn't appear to be dangerous, her submissive demeanor said it all.

The slender she-wolf took a couple steps towards to young female, then crouched so their eyes were at the same level. Earthy eyes looked up at her with fear. She'd obviously scared the poor wolf with the knife in her hand and harsh reaction to her presence. "Well, you're not a spy. You're but a puppy. What is someone so young doing out at night? It's dangerous." She managed to soften her strong voice quite a bit to speak to the girl. Seeing how frightened the wolf was she put the knife on the ground and offered some words of reassurance. "I won't do anything to harm you. You simply startled me. Like I said, it's dangerous out here." Sidra's face now held a slight smile. Though, any smile she gave to a stranger was a fake one. Even so, she was trying to look less threatening.

The knife was pointed away from her. Dalgina focused on the swaying tail, hoping that it was a good sign. She didn't really like this very much. It was scary. Dalgina wanted to go home now. She shouldn't have left it, even if the stars had been calling her name. The fierce stranger crouched down before her, bright eyes glittering next to her own dark brown ones. The voice that spoke was soft, calming Dalgina down some.

She nodded her head vigorously at the description of the night being dangerous. It was very terrifying. Dalgina never planned on doing this again. The knife was put down, and Dalgina sighed with relief, her small body relaxing. Tentatively her tail let out a small wag before stilling again, still low to the ground. I wanted to go out under the moon. It was so pretty... Dalgina just hadn't been able to resist it's allure.

Awww, cute puppy!

Sidra's reassurances seemed to have worked. The charcoal pup's eyes calmed before her, relaxing just a little bit. A wider smile was brought to the she-wolf's face at the reaction the pup gave her. She was so young and timid. Adorable. Sidra's tail swayed behind her some more. She had somewhat of a soft spot for adorable puppies. Sidra noted the small shake the young one's tail gave, happy she was able to ease her nerves. It was hard to resist such a naive and timid nature. A small voice answered her question and brought out a laugh from Sidra. She looked up to the sky and searched for the moon. It hung brightly in the middle of the sky in a crescent shape tonight. Lovely as always. "Yes, the moon is quite lovely isn't it? Opal eyes met the earthy ones of the stranger once again. "That's an understandable reason to be out so late. Before I realized you were here, I was looking at the stars. They're beautiful." A genuine smile followed this time. Sidra found herself warming up to the pup quickly.

The fire was warm an inviting a few feet away, ushering her to return and take a place next to it. She stood up and picked up the knife, letting it dangle uselessly between her index finger and her thumb. "Why don't you join me by the fire?" Hopefully, the wolf no longer thought she was dangerous. Her reaction was simply an unavoidable instinct now. Every stranger she met got a harsh introduction. Sidra strode a couple steps towards the camp, stopped, and looked over her shoulder waiting to see whether the pup would follow.

Why did she laugh? The girl had only worked on answering the question. Had she answered wrong? No, she had gone out to see the moon, and dream about the stars. The dangers of doing that simply hadn't occurred to her, lost in her own private world. When Dalgina was paying attention she knew lots of fears, strangers and monsters roaming around ready to harm her. It was completely different when she wasn't paying attention as she should be.

The pup brightened up once more at the agreement on the moon. She nodded her head. Watching the sky was an amazing pastime. Dalgina spent hours doing that, whiling the day away. The invitation to join the stranger was met with slight hesitation. Dalgina watched for a moment before stepping over quietly, paws padding against the ground. In the circle around the fire Dalgina curled up, blinking as she stared happily at the flames' dance.

Won't be taking so long anymore. :3

Sidra's face was bright as she looked down at the shy puppy, she was adorable. Her face seemed to bright up whenever Sidra mentioned something she liked. Like the moon and the stars. Sidra was usually such a harsh person, but in the presence of one so innocent and young she found herself letting down all her barriers. She rather enjoyed not having to worry about whether the person in front of her was going to attempt to kill her or do other vile acts. Without further wait, Sidra made her way to her small inviting camp. She sat down in front of the warm flames and looked back as the young wolf made her way to the fire. There was a bright smile on her gold and white face as she watched the ashy child pad over and curl up comfortably. Sidra's eyes made their way to the flames as they flickered in front of them. Soloman snorted, probably interested in who this new person was.

"So, I have failed to introduce myself. That doesn't bode well for me does it?" She looked over at the girl. "I'm Sidra. What is your name? Are you from a pack around here? You must be considering your lack of awareness for the dangers in this land." Sidra's tail swayed behind her, she was intent to hear the answer to her questions. She'd found an interest in the young wolf she'd met tonight. Plus, it was always nice to enjoy the fire with a friend. Kativa was nowhere to be found and it was getting late. She probably found some poor man to swindle out of his belongings. Wine and other pretty items that sparked her interest. It was always a joy to see what she'd come home with. But, for now, this wolf was her company.

Dalgina listened as the wolf spoke. Her words were very different from how she was used to hearing others speak. Confident, polite, steely. Taru's speech was similar, but much gentler with the pup, lacking the formal edge that this one contained. She had no idea why it would be a bad sign that she hadn't said her name yet, considering how Dalgina had spent the last few moments thinking that she was going to end up dead.

Her tail wagged softly as she heard the beautiful name. Sidra. That was truly a wonderful name to hear, smooth and silky, and sounding like someone who had seen such grand wonders that they couldn't even speak of it. My name's Dalgina Wolfe-Denahlii. My pack's Ichika no Ho-en, but we're living in Cercatori d'Arte right now. She refused to believe that she wouldn't one day go back and have things return to how they once were.

Word Count ? 000

Sidra's eyebrow raised at the name of the wolf, it was quite a mouthful of a name. She found herself saying again and again in her head so she would remember the whole thing. Even so, Sidra listened as the young one spoke. She spewed a couple of pack names that Sidra had never heard. She was completely unaware to the packs that inhabited this area, might be a good time to ask about them. Sidra smiled and looked over to the wolf. "Can I just call you Dalgina? That's the only part of your name that I remember." She gave a small chortle. "I've never heard of either of those packs. See, I'm not from here. But you probably could tell." After all, Soloman was being burdened by several bags that hung were slung over his back attached to a small saddle. Within them, enough stuff to fuel her for weeks.

So, there were two packs close to this area? Eventually, she might have to do some scoping to find herself a home. She wasn't going to worry about it for now though. "So Dalgina, what kind of wolves live in those packs. I'm curious." Bright opal eyes shifted back to the blazing fire before them. Her right ear swiveled on her head to listen up to Dalgina when she spoke while hand reached for the bottle of wine. It retracted the second before it touched. Her sense of responsibility was kicking in and she felt drinking in front of the young one was a bad influence. She gave a smirk and brought her hand back into her lap respectfully.

Dalgina nodded her head. She was rather proud of her name. The first part meant she was the goddess of the night and winter, with the second part meaning she belonged to her family. No other family in the entire world could take away that attachment. That didn't mean she actually used the full name every single time. Dalgina was used to being called just that, or even Gina by her sister. Keldava nicknamed everyone though, so that was alright. Her tail wagged behind her happily, perfectly agreeable.

She cocked her head, looking up at Sidra. If Sidra wasn't from here, where was she from? Straining her mind Dalgina thought about everything she knew about the world, which wasn't much. The trip to the new pack was the farthest Dalgina had ever gone. She did know about some things though, like the arctic. Did you come from the arctic? That wasn't where they were, and from how Mahn spoke it was very, very far away. Asked what the packs were like her tail beat against the ground. Ichika no Ho-en is very friendly. Everyone's my friend. It's not very big though. We have lots of flowers and live in the mountains, and everyone's ready to play. We have llamas too. Cercatori d'Arte... Dalgina trailed off, realizing how little she knew about where she lived. It's a big pack. A little bigger than Ichika. They have protectors at the border, and good friends. Very strong. They have lots and lots of color and pretty things.
