Why yes that is a pun on the thread title where Neela and Jace met :3 Backdated to the 3rd. Post order is Neela/Jace/Dalgina/Keldava.

Neela fidgeted nervously as she stared at the invisible barrier in front of her, nose twitching every now and then as wafts of the scent marking the Cercatori de Arte border drifted down to her nose. Despite all the times Jace had told her she didn't care about Neela's past, that she considered her a friend still, there was still a dull shade of self doubt lingering in the back of Neela's mind. Grynn was silent as she perched on a branch, staring at Neela, and even Oonu and Marahute had quieted down, seemingly recognising Neela's troubled state of mind. Skylar was a silent but comforting presence, the dark hued Peregrine perched on Neela's shoulder as she often did.

Coming to see Jace had been a good idea right up until Neela had actually arrive on the border, at which point she had promptly descended into a bundle of nerves. She had been standing here staring at the border for nearly ten minutes now and would have continued to do so for a while more if it wasn't for a slight pinch on her shoulder. Turning towards the pinch Neela stared into a pair of eyes, reflective black pools rimmed with bright yellow. Skylar rubbed her head against Neela's, too young to really understand why she was upset but wanting to comfort her all the same.

The young falcon's presence was strangely reassuring and Neela smiled weakly at her, reaching one hand up to gently stroke her, claws running gently down the birds spine before Neela took a deep breath and strode towards the border, stopping just outside it.

Neela's howl gave away none of the nervousness that she felt. The sound echoed through the air and over the Arte territory, a sweet, melodious sound more akin to Neela's singing than her talking, calling for Jace to come meet her.

As her friend called for her so she came. She was never one to ignore the attention of her dearest friends, estranged though they were now that they had both departed Ichika's grip. Her mood soured slightly at the thought of the Exultare Nomad as it usually did when she thought of her once friend X'yrin. She had counted X'yrin amongst her friends a few months ago, had watched her rise from an entry rank into skilled and then prestige, and up to sub leader. She had been glad for her until X'yrin had taken over and betrayed her in a treacherous way, destroying any chance of reconciliation between them.

The wolfdog sprinted through Cercatori's lands with the lope she could keep for miles and miles. Her secui form easily covering the distance and eating up the ground as she ran. She countered out angering thoughts of X'yrin with thoughts of Neela instead. Neela had never let her down or stabbed her in the back, Jace had been there for Neela like she had been there for Jace despite their rather rough first meeting. They had lent on each other when times had been rough. She trusted Neela like she never again would the Ichikan leader.

The sight of her good friend sent her tail to wagging and she barked a greeting, the sound deep in her throat despite her small size, an echo of a less than purebred past. As she pulled up to a stop in front of Neela Jace immediately began her shift to optime so the two females could talk on an even level,

"Did you make it to Casa di Cavalieri?" Despite the scent that told Jace she had done, she asked the question anyway to give them a topic of discussion while Jace shifted.

OOC Laughs

Dalgina was in the middle of a sulk. She'd had a very pleasant dream about Ichika. Kiara was there, and Neela, and her whole family, and Snow and Wander and Picture were there as well. Fatin had stood there, as well as the wolf who carved, quietly working in the background. With her entire pack around her she'd never been happier. She played with her new friends, and explored the flowers, and everyone had played with her, and Dalgina had even flown high in the sky with Grynn. Then she woke up. Confused at first Dalgina had searched for those she had expected, only to have reality come crashing in once more. They weren't in Ichika, her pack wasn't there with her, and they were in a new place she didn't care for.

Huddled down the growing pup stared morosely at the ground. Most of the time Dalgina was okay with their new place now, but then something would happen, and Dalgina would miss her old home all over again. The melodious cry almost didn't penetrate, but when it did her spirits soared. Was that Neela? Her tail wagged happily, joyous at the thought of seeing her friend again. Bounding over the land Dalgina moved as quickly as she could. Spotting Mahn she swarmed around her to hit Neela, barking with excitement and rubbing against her. Neela! I missed you.
