Pandora and Honrin had shifted. Dalgina had come back to the house after a day spent with Tehu to find them on two legs. The change had startled Dalgina, realizing that she was separate from her siblings. She was changed from them, apart. They knew things that she didn't, and maybe wouldn't for a while. The loneliness this gave Dalgina was an alien feeling, different from when she had left Ichika and lost Kiara, different from being by herself. This was deeper.
Dalgina headed back out of the house, returning to Tehu's side. She took the small kestrel out of the makeshift nest, careful to not disturb Fawkes. She chirped quietly to Tehu, assuring him that everything was fine before taking him out to the pool she'd almost drowned in. Laying down under a tree with Tehu huddling into her for warmth Dalgina looked out. Was she going to shift soon as well? Why hadn't she changed when they had? Leaning down she licked softly at his head, worrying about the difference between them.
