Amy was back in Anathema. She'd been resting in her cottage, enjoying the fresh salt air that came off the sea. She was truly enjoying living on the coast. It was a lot more comfortable as well. Some renovations had happened in her room, soft fresh furs and a bed that had been put together. Amy had even put in some work where a fireplace would have been, clearing it out so that it was usable. A bath had been deeply needed afterwards, but at least her goal had been accomplished.

The merchant could only rest for so long before the driving need inside her to work and give herself pleasure kicked in again. As nice as it was to rest on the furs, Amy had no worthwhile company to share her time with. Perhaps Naniko would care to come down and chat with her? Amy did consider the Anathema leader an equal after all. The others...well. Amy might have to respect them, but that was all. Ears flattened with the reminder of the submission she'd been forced to bear Amy moved over to the caverns, hoping to find someone civilized, instead of a beast.

OOC: Permission to PP Liam was given by Vannah and Liam won't be in the thread, he was simply escorting her so she could keep on eye on her.

IC: At this point of her pregnancy, it was obvious that Ayasha was indeed pregnant. She was showing likely more than if she wasn’t as thin and lean before she got pregnant. Plus, she was eating, a lot. Liam had been there for her as much he could but she was sure that he needed time to himself away from his hormonal mate with her wide mood swings. But she was able to get out a lot, usually with Liam going with her.

Today was no different except that she was feeling restless and a bit more grumpy than usual. She hadn’t blamed him for her condition yet because she was till aware that it took two to tango. But she would still snap at him for no reason. Plus, it was starting to get hard for her to get into a comfortable position to sleep. Which couldn’t have been easy for poor Liam.

They had worked out that Liam would give her space but she needed to stay in sight and sound of her mate. Which she currently was, and puking. Lovely. She thought that she was past that stage but apparently not. She would have to get a drink of water but not until she was sure she was done and could keep water down. Liam knew by now to stay away from her while she was throwing up or else he might nearly lose a finger.

The crystal caverns were definitely one of the finer features of the pack. Beautiful, deadly, and designed to draw one in. Amy had found herself looking through there, touching over the sharp edges capable of drawing blood and walking with care on the edges, staying as central as she could to avoid collapse. Tail swaying Amy made her way back out, a piece of crystal pocketed to be shaped later.

The horrible sound of retching grabbed Amy's attention. Turning the corner she spotted the innocent white female, puking her guts out over the floor. It seemed that she and Liam had been quite busy. She was tempted to laugh, but Amy knew what it was like to be like that. True, Amy had been lucky and avoided the worst of morning sickness, only getting it for a week and a mild case at that. She was still sympathetic. Need some peppermint?

Someone approached her and for a second Ayasha thought that it was Liam. She was about lash out when she glanced up and saw Amy approach her. Liam was a ways away and started to come over but she barely shook her head at him, which made him surprisingly step down. She then turned her attention back to the golden female.

Her gaze was slightly guarded since she didn’t really care for Amy but she was part of Anathema and seemed to sort of care. Ayasha did have to bite her tongue to keep from snapping at the other female. At least Amy appeared to be sympathetic to her plight, which made Ayasha a bit more grateful than she would have been.

At the offer of peppermint, Ayasha would have taken it, since she knew that it would help calm her stomach usually, but she had a rather important question. "What would you want for it?" She wasn't being rude but she doubted the trader would just give it to her for free. But then again she could have had a change of heart, or even get a heart. She sighed and rubbed neck gently. It seemed that her body aches weren’t going away.
#5
An immediate smile brightened up Amy's face at the question. It seemed that the foolish female was growing wiser. She was by no means someone to give a gift to someone, even if that was one she knew, and someone Amy counted on her list of ones she could trust. If Amy needed something, Ayasha was one that would deal fairly with the dog. Briefly Amy dug through her purse before pulling out a couple sprigs of peppermint. Just enough to satisfy what was wrong.

Waving it back and forth lazily Amy considered the question. What would she want for it? Smiling Amy pointed a hand towards her stomach. I want to be there when they come. I can supply you with everything you need. Things for your morning sickness, medicine to ease your back, even herbs to ensure a healthy delivery, and a good production of milk. All I ask in return is to see them come. Amy wanted to watch it happen, be there to stake her claim on the newborn pups if she could.
#6
Amy smiled at her caution and Ayasha wasn't sure what her smile meant. If Ayasha was on the list of people Amy could trust, she had no idea since her feelings in the other female were a bit…shaky. She didn’t hate Amy but neither did she particularly like her. There was this manipulation about her that Ayasha didn't trust. But when Amy brought out some of the mint and waved it slightly in front of her face, she gave a glare at her but it was only half-hearted.

But the golden female apparently wanted something with her pups and Ayasha bristled slightly but then forced herself to calm down and listen to what Amy was saying. She wanted to supply her medicinal herbs and be there for the birth? Ayasha's eyes narrowed slightly in suspicion. What could she want with her pups? Make them slaves?

That was something she didn't want to happen. She was about to say no when she realized that she had no idea what Amy was going to do to them, if anything. She took a slight breath to calm herself down. "Before I answer, what do you want from the pups? Why do you care if everything is OK with my pregnancy? There has to be some benefit for you in it." She was likely going to agree if Amy didn’t want anything with her pups but the golden female didn’t need to know that.
#7
The protective reaction to Amy's words was perfectly understandable. Amy hadn't trusted anyone near her pups when she'd been carrying them, going as far as to almost bite off a stranger's hand when she reached out to touch Amy's stomach, curious for when the pups were due. Very good. It looked like the pregnancy was forcing a bit of wisdom into the female. Growing more rapidly than before. Or perhaps it had simply been a while since she'd seen Ayasha, still carrying that slight glow of innocence that attracted and irritated Amy so much. She waited patiently, letting Ayasha think over what she had said.

Asked what she wanted with the pups Amy smiled. There was no darkness in it this time, just a simple break. I know what it's like to carry pups and worry for them. You are pack, so of course I should care about you. I'm tired of watching pups die before me. It won't happen this time, not with the help I can give. Her eyes glittered with determination, the small spark that was fueled with her pups glittering for a moment before being pushed back into the depths of her mind. It was weakness, something Amy wouldn't allow. The other reason for wanting to see the pups, well. That could be kept to herself.
#8
Ayasha wasn’t sure that she knew what made her more wary of Amy and people in general but it was likely due to her being pregnant and not wanting anyone to hurt her pups. Even Liam would not be safe from her if he tried to hurt the pups. And that was a big worry of hers, that her loverboy would hurt either her or the pups if one of them was black and survived long enough for him to see them.

At first, Amy's smile made her a bit worried, thinking that it might be a cruel one. But she was surprised at how nice and gentle it was. She listened to her speak and Ayasha considered Amy's reasons. She was naturally wary of them but Amy did seem genuine. So Ayasha nodded slowly and said, "Alright. But Liam won't be able to be there and he's still upset about it. Can you not bother him or rile him up about you being there but he can't?" She wasn’t sure if she could have Amy there or if Amy would be allowed to come in.

At the supplies, Ayasha had something to mention. "It'll be most likely that I'll be in the caves. I've been told that I can't really leave my room without an escort so that the pups are accidently hurt." She was at first upset by it but now she simply accepted it and enjoyed her time outside. Once the pups came, she would not leave them for a few weeks and even then not for long.
#9
Amy waited for the agreement that she knew would come. After all, she could provide things for Ayasha that would be deeply needed. Whether or not that pack medic was there didn't matter. Amy had been the one to give what was needed at this time. She had been the one to make the agreement. Amy would not let that piece of trash anywhere near her prize if she could help it. She'd probably just make it worse anyways.

As expected Ayasha agreed. Immediately she chuckled at the words. The cursed mate wasn't allowed near the birthing? That was a loaded gun if she'd ever heard one. Not wishing for her rights to be there to be revoked Amy nodded as agreeably as she could. She could leave Liam alone. There was no reason for her to mock him. Besides, it was beneficial for him to not be there. It meant that Amy would be able to make a stronger claim when the time came. She nodded her head at the words, thinking about what would be needed for the birth.

Holding out the peppermint she smiled. You'll be in good hands. Do you still remember the words of the oath? Or should I tell them for you again? She wouldn't be letting this opportunity slip away from her.

Ayasha had no idea that Amy disliked Panda but if she did, she would be more likely to let Panda there instead of Amy. She trusted Panda whereas she barely did with Amy. But as it was, she assumed that the two of them were both going to be there and that Panda would be somewhat OK with the blond female being there.

Amy seemed agreeable to leaving Liam alone and Ayasha was still extremely wary of the trader female. The way she had been with her obviously sick pups made her doubt that Amy was doing this out of the kindness of her heart. It seemed unlikely that Amy would do something without wanting something major in return, like one of her pups. Not that she would ever give up her pups and not to someone like Amy.

Ayasha took the peppermint and popped it into her mouth, chewing on the leaves. The mint started to slowly reach her stomach and it helped calm it. She gave a happy sigh of relief and then focused back on Amy. She couldn't quite remember the words so she said, "Not really. Could you tell them to me again?" She wanted to hear what Amy would make her promise and make sure it didn't involve something bad happening to her pups.

She let Ayasha take the peppermint. There would be plenty more where that came from. Everything the white female would need, Amy would provide. The pups would come, healthy and strong. Tail wagging she wasn't surprised at Ayasha's words. It had been some time since they had done business. The oath had only been taken once, almost half a year ago. A renewal was in order after all, refreshing the ties between them.

Of course. It's not a problem. Wording the oath properly would be difficult, needing Ayasha to say certain things without realizing how dangerous it was. By my blood, I promise to bring life. By my kin I will deliver it up. By my soul I swear that I will not break this, and grant them unto you. She paused, feeling the temperature drop, creatures from the other realm leaning close. Even if they had no true power, they always listened. Then you seal it with your name.

Ayasha still didn’t trust Amy, no matter how nice she was being. But she also couldn’t deny the need for things to help her not only feel better but also likely help with the labor. Or at least Ayasha hoped that there were things that would help with her labor. For her, that would be the scariest part of her whole pregnancy, the actual act of bringing pups into the world. But she would have Panda there to help her, and apparently also Amy there.

Amy agreed to give her the oath again and Ayasha's newfound suspicious side reared into effect. She listened to the words for any trickery but didn’t find any. Although they were a bit nonspecific and could easily be twisted to whatever the golden female wished them to say. But Ayasha needed all the help that she could get. So her internal battle, while intense, was rather brief. And she nodded, repeating the words back to Amy and adding her name to the end of it. She was less eager than she was last time but she wouldn't be going back on those words. Ayasha was a woman of her word despite how much she wished that some she could do otherwise. She might just have to find a way to use her promise to Amy to her own good.

Amy smiled as Ayasha promptly repeated the words back. Deal sealed. Now all that was left was preparation. I suggest you keep a good supply of peppermint nearby. I planted some down by my cottage. You'll be able to take all you need from there. If you require anything else at any point, just holler. Even if it's for a craving you can't explain. Amy had been there before, craving a food she hadn't been given.

Passing the few herbs she felt would help Ayasha Amy turned back, heading towards the cottage. She did like the isolation, and the work on the crystal would be useful to begin. Carving it would be hard, but she had the tools available. The only question was which form it would take.
