The slight frame of the silvery grey male stood outside their borders. The scent within he knew quite well, that of kin, that of a blood that had once nearly been his own enemy. The thunder rolled in the distance as his silvery mane whipped about his face. There were no words he could find to fill the void between the coming storm and the silence of his soul. He had left the distant lands where he had ruled like a king, the pull of the wild and the darkness of his soul had called him home, or in the least, as close to home as he would be able to find anymore.

He threw his head back and let out a yipping howl that spoke in volumes of his heritage. He wanted to cross that thresh hold, to find his son and sister but he was walking a thin line as it was sitting on their borders. The scent of Gabriel was long gone from the lands but the scent of his kin was more than apparent. His skin twitched and shivered as he waited for acceptance or to be turned away and barred from all he had left, all he knew.

There was a sickness at the heart of the beast and his Juliet had disappeared in the winds. He would return to her home in hopes that she would find him once again. He was a shell of who he had once been without the touch of his lady and ever so slowly a monster was ripping at the seams and dying to get out. Perhaps the blood of those he knew once would be enough for now.. he could only hope.

It was not sunny today, no, but her mood was not dampened by the dreary day, not in the least. The thunder rolled across the sky in the distance, and she could feel the deep rumbling within the ground. If she wasn't going to go home soon, she would likely be drenched soon. Bi-colored eyes sought the dark sky as her pale curls whipped too and fro, wind ruffling the fur on her body. Just as her eyes moved away from the sky and in the direction of home she heard a series of yips in the borders direction, and her satellite ears moved to receive the sound. Without a thought she turned around and moved gracefully through the long, whipping grasses of the waste. The woman blended into the dreary colored stalks save for her bright hair, and she wanted to get this over quickly so that she would not be caught in the storm that was brewing to the west.

She moved quickly, her steps hurried so that she would make it there all the faster. Luckily there were thick trees that were at the border, though they were few and far between. Cold drops started to drop from the sky and she cursed to herself before breaking into a quick jog, seeing the telltale skulls on pikes that signified the border. A silver figure stood waiting, patiently for someone to come see him and this she did, slowing down from her jog to a walk until she was over Inferni lands. The coyote woman stopped in front of him, arms crossed as she appraised the traveler. She knew why he was here, but she wanted to have some time with him before calling Vesper or Zeke, the woman was a social butterfly, even if it was raining.

Her warm bi-colored eyes settled on him, and she smiled brightly at him. " Come to the lands of fire and brimstone I see. Why are you here? " She questioned, her tone sunny as always. The woman definitely did not represent the hellfire that resided on Inferni lands, though her looks were deceiving. In all reality she had fought and killed, and was not a small force to be overlooked anymore. The way she stood was relaxed, but her muscles were coiled and waiting for the strike that may or may not come. All in all, she was ready for whatever he would throw at her.

She had heard the voice call out across the lands and it had stirred something within. Her heart had taken a leap into her throat as her pulse quickened. It could be years between them and she would still know that voice. The extremely round and awkward woman had left the mansion without hesitation, annoyed that Timori was nowhere nearby, but letting out a demanding call for the boy to find her and quickly. The thunder rolled overhead as she moved into the meadow, her short legs bowed as she waddled with no grace left to her name. The small woman was grateful when Saul came into view, the older stallion dozing in the field, ignoring the storm above as though it was just a fly pestering his flesh.

She made the distant in quick time, though ending her quest for scrambling upon his back when she realized that her swollen belly made it beyond impossible. Her dear old equine companion nickered in amusement, shaking his head as he knelt upon his knees to allow the small curvy woman to gain upon his back. She sighed and rolled her eyes as she finally was able to land upon the large barrel of horseflesh. She murmured softly. "Let us find him my old friend.." as they moved off at a steady trot, the horse more mindful of her own condition that the pygmy upon his back.

The rain was falling steadily as she found her way along the borders and to the site of the newcomer. She let her gaze slide over that of her clan mate as she spoke softly. "He belongs here Emmanuelle.." Her eyes turning back to her brother as she asked. "Though.. he has a lot to answer for." She had never expected to hear the bitterness in her own voice as she watched the older figure before her. So long they had been gone from one another and yet nothing was right about this scene.

She slid down off the back of the stallion and after regaining her balance she moved forward to join Emmanuelle in waiting for a response from a male that had been gone far too long from her life.

As each drop begun to darken his pelt the hybrid male sighed softly. The cloak across his shoulders kept a goodly amount of the rain from chilling him to the bone but he knew soon enough the weight of his heart and the weight of the world would have competition with the weight on his shoulders. He had just about been ready to turn away and seek shelter when a voice caught his attention. His mind had been elsewhere and he had not heard her approach but when his stormy orbs rose up from the ground to greet her he couldn't help the slight flicker of his ears as they tried to pin back. The male had hoped after all this time that things had smoothed over a bit but it seemed not.

He opened his maw to reply but the thunder of hooves and a form he knew far too well came into sight. This time his ears did pin back as he suppressed a growl in the back of his throat. The massive size of his tiny sister set his stomach lurching as he watched her, not offering words right away as she spoke sharply. He should have expected it, it was always the way of the seemingly frail woman, but to hear the gruffness and disdain aimed at himself the silvery male wasn't sure how to take it for once.

She moved from the back of the beast he'd known just as well as her and joined her clans mate upon the ground, his throat restricting as he tried to swallow hard against the feeling of being separated. "I'm DaVinci 'Dait Nasphrite.. brother to Zana here, and father to Timori de le Poer." His eyes turned to the woman who had first greeted him as he spoke softly. "It seems a lot has changed since the last time I stood upon these shores.." There was sadness and longing in his voice but he didn't continue on with that track. "I wish to rejoin the ranks of Inferni, if your leaders will allow me.." he said with eyes downcast.

It was not long before she was joined by the very obviously pregnant Zana, and she smiled softly to herself - oh how she loved pups. It would be a joy to see the pygmy womans puppies running around, if they did survive. Her tail flicked behind her idly as she listened with a cocked ear to Zanas words, then frowned slightly. There must be something deeper going on with these two that she wasn't aware of. Oh well, it certainly wasn't her place to pry in things she had no business with. As long as it wasn't damaging to the clan she was sure Vesper and Ezekiel would let him gain passage. Her ears perked in his direction as he spoke of being a brother and a father to those in the clan, and she dipped her head slightly in acknowledgement.

She didn't need to hear anymore, so the woman stalked away into the borders and raised her maw to the weeping sky and howled, loud and long for eithee Vesper or their Aquila. It started off powerful but then ended in a series of yips, a cross between a wolf and a coyote.

Rain fell on the lands of the Waste, a spring storm to cleanse the clan by washing away the last traces of blood and death from the war with the wolves. Of course, the stains were too deep and too numerous to completely disappear from Inferni history, and Vesper knew it would take more than a drizzle to put out the fire. They would always be feared and hated, and while her soul struggled against the misunderstandings, she knew she would not see everlasting peace in this lifetime. Perhaps she would be reborn as a wolf, and continue the work from the other side. The thought brought a smirk to her lips.

A hybrid howl pulled her from her thoughts, and reluctantly she pulled out from underneath the deer pelt flap at the entrance to her cave. She’d heard the first cry, but for once the constant patrols had made her weary, and she knew some eager young scout would be raring to meet the newcomer. Whoever it is chose a hell of a time to show up, she thought, just as a raindrop landed in her eye. Half-blind now in addition to half-deaf, she made slower progress than she meant to toward the border, small paws squelching in the soft earth and eardrums ringing from the peals of thunder.

When the border stakes finally came into view, the Centurion cantered the last few yards on all fours and paused, taking in the gathered group. Emmanuelle was as lovely as ever, but the war had changed the sweetness of her heterochromatic eyes, and for a long time now Ves had ceased to feel a warm spark toward her. The wolves had taken away all of their innocence, and she didn’t feel obligated to protect her anymore. Trying not to frown, she glanced at roly-poly Zana beside her monster of a horse, and after she had acknowledged her clan mates, stared at the blue-grey newcomer.

“So who is this?” Vesper asked, addressing one of her comrades although her blue eyes remained fixed on the stranger. She could only assume that he’d told them all the relevant information. Her lips twitched in a half-smirk, and her tail shook water behind her. “Unless you want to speak for yourself.”

She had not expected Emma to react the way she had and honestly Zana was in no mood to deal with family along the border either herself. When Emma began to stalk away the smallest Lykoi sighed, glaring at her brother for a moment before she called after her fellow clan mate. "Emma.. wait.." She started after the other woman but was interrupted by Vesper's appearance. Frustrated that she couldn't follow the other woman at this moment now she turned to glance at Vesper, her ears pinned back in annoyance as she explained things simply. "DaVinci..He is my brother.. She let her eyes drift back to where Emma had traipsed off down the borders with a soft sigh.

"I'll let him explain things though.." she said as she eyed her brother with a look of distaste. She wasn't even certain where to begin with him but she would find out later if he was admitted into the clan. She had other business now, and her clan mate was getting away rather quickly. She turned back to Vesper as she spoke softly. "Excuse me, but I need to talk to Emma.. and pursue my duties further.." She bowed off to the second in command as she turned away and trotted off after Emma, wondering what she had done to set the other woman off.

The tension seemed to mount as the woman appeared out of the woodwork. The silvery grey hued male was beginning to wonder if there were many males within the clan but he kept the thought to himself, knowing that it would not help his case if he began to pick at the build of the clan already. He would soon enough find out just what the clan consisted of or he would be turned away. The blue eyed male watched as first one of the scouts began to walk off after announcing his presence to the leading ranks of the clan, then within moments of her departure the scarred woman appeared, an aire of authority following her, making the male stand a little taller and bring himself to attention.

When Vesper asked for his information he was about to hand it over but his half sister spoke first. He couldn't help it as his ears pinned back at her manner and tone of voice but she didn't even give him time to try and figure out just what was going on before she too excused herself from the meeting at hand. He turned his eyes back to the leader before him for a moment, studying the woman as he spoke, the irish lilt to his voice heavy, "I'm DaVinci Nasphrite. Zana is my younger sister.. and my son resides here. Timori." He sighed softly as he added. "There is tension still within my family..but I wish to join the ranks of Inferni once more.. for the last time." he said, his voice firm and truthful as he raised his orbs to meet the gaze of the second in command.

Because of the rank changes, could you let me know which tier (Bellum, Miscellus, Lumen) you want DaVi in? :3

Zana turned her head to watch the younger she-yote, but Vesper ignored the caller in favor of looking the stranger over. He seemed coyote enough, even though his coat betrayed that he was a hybrid; there were few slate-grey coyotes, after all. She took note of his nicked ears and the tag in one (though it was no stranger than many earrings she’d seen) then swiveled her own toward the pregnant scout. She was surprised to hear that this big grey male was Zana’s brother—and also a bit surprised to see the obvious reluctance displayed by the scout.

Acknowledging her departure with a nod, the Centurion frowned at DaVinci. He spoke in an accented but understandable voice, further describing his relation to the clan. She’d seen the oddly-colored Timori running about before, and she knew how highly Inferni valued family; she was a bit of an outsider for that very reason, a lone coywolf among the Lykois.

“Why did you leave before?” Vesper asked, her voice patient but firm. Another Infernian might nod at his relation and beckon him into clan lands, but if the tension with Zana and others from his prior membership was going to cause trouble, she didn’t want him. Plenty of members had come back from being away—Ezekiel among them, she’d heard, and even Kaena Lykoi herself—but she was a bit more reluctant to let in someone who’d already failed to stick with the clan forever. She’d just have to see; once she had that information, and it pleased her, she wouldn’t hesitate to let him in.
