OOC: Set for yesterday

Pregnant. She was pregnant. Hadley was going to be a father. How had this happened? Foolish question. He knew exactly how it happened. He just couldn't believe that it had actually happened. Hadley had slept with plenty of females, and never once gotten them pregnant. Okay, most of the time he'd been dead drunk and they were one night stands, but still. No pups. At least none he'd been told about. What kind of father would he make with that past? Acting so careless, then being caught and used as a slave. It was shameful. How could he help care for a child when he'd acted so stupid when younger?

He sat on the fence, watching the horses move around. At least they were alright. Intermingling and playing with each other. It was rather restful to watch, if not exactly helping with his problem. Hadley wasn't too sure anyone could help him with that. The pups were going to come, Isa would be a mother, and Hadley would be the good for nothing father that nobody could stand dealing with. What would happen to Isa? How would she handle this? He'd try and help, sure, but Hadley didn't know the first thing about raising kids!

ooc things go here

Adriana had just gotten back from hunting and was carrying two fat rabbits back to Casa. She walked Dalia back to where the other horses were grazing and saw a man she recognized sitting on the fence, Hadley. He seemed stressed, possibly worried about something. She gave the mare a pat before heading over to him. Once she was close enough, Rina leaned against the fence next to him. Elroy climbed down from her shoulder and walked along the fence before placing his front paws on Hadley’s leg, looking up at the large male. The martin wasn’t usually friendly to very many, but he seemed to really like Hadley and could tell something was wrong.

Rina had been practicing English with Isa and could speak fluently now, she still had a heavy French accent though. Hello Hadley, long time no see. You doing ok? It seems like something is bothering you. She nudged his side lightly with her shoulder, hoping to help him out.

A new horse entered, mingling with the others. Soft nickers welcomed her back into the herd, enveloping her. Hadley, lost in his thoughts, didn't think about where the new horse might have come from. He jumped as something touched his leg, coming off the fence. Standing he looked down to see a marten looking rather intensely at him. Crouching he patted it's head softly, smiling. So Adriana was here. Their first meeting had been rather awkward, to say the least. Mistaking her as Selene had been horrible.

He looked over to the pretty hybrid, still managing to hold onto his smile. Asked what was going on Hadley's mind threatened to crash. Scrambling desperately for a logical thought Hadley managed to speak. Isa's pregnant. He let that rest in the air for a moment before moving on to what was bothering him the most. I'm going to be a father. What kind of father would he make? No hero's figure. Someone no one should ever look up to. Yet he was going to be exactly that. What should he do?
