Finally - First Shift

Lillith is just in some random cave tunnel in the caverns, and is shifting for the first time. Grace and Panda need to come to start dreading her hair Big Grin || +435.

She felt sick. At first she thought it might be the bat she had eaten, but no bat had ever made her feel quite like this. Sure, she might get a stomach ache sometimes, causing a desperate craving for grass, but this was different, this was if her entire body was on fire. She was struggling to keep herself standing, and had to rest within the cool confines of one of the Anathema cave hallways often. But despite the temperature inside this hovel, her body was aflame, and she panted desperately as she leaned against the rock wall of the tunnel.

What was wrong with her? Had she contracted some disease? Perhaps she had rabies, like that crazed bob-cat that had attacked her and her mother a moon ago. It’s paws were still hanging in her room on bits of twine like some twisted trophy. But her mind was still there, she could think clearly besides the pain, so it couldn’t be rabies. What was wrong with her?!

Excruciating pain suddenly wracked her body, concentrated in her joints and she whimpered. Lillith never whimpered, but this was something very different. Was she dying? Her vision swam and she felt like vomiting, and her eyes sank down to her hands. Wait, hands?

Suddenly, she realized what was happening, and it caused an explosion of flutters with her belly, which did not help her nausea in the least bit, and she turn to the side to cough up the half-digested bat. But instead of frustration she was elated, a feeling that she had rarely had the pleasure of enjoying. She was shifting! Thank the god’s she was finally shifting.

Lillith sat very still, and with a macabre interested listened and felt as her muscles and bones lengthened with sickening pops and grinds into long, sinewy limbs. It took the good amount of five minutes, but eventually, instead of lump of puppy flesh and fur, there on the stone and dirt ground sat a woman. She stood, with some difficult, and immediately wished for some reflective surface, but lacking one, did her best to get a good view of her new body. What she could tell was that she was tall and thin, very thin, her stringy muscles standing out clearing under her sable and crimson fur. Her chest, where she had expected to see voluptuous mounds like her mother, was relatively flat; no matter, no need for breasts anyway. She turned and saw her tail, still attached behind her, and long. And then, she realized that her mane was in her eyes, and flowing extremely long against her back. Great.

All your sanity and wits they will all vanish
I promise, it's just a matter of time..

With every day that passed, Panda could find a pit of excitement sitting in her stomach. She could feel it in the air, it seemed. She knew in her gut that soon her daughter would start to blossom into an adult. She was more so excited for the pup rather than for herself, because she did love the child as a child, and Panda did not know what she would think about the child as an adult. Her main concern: Being able to let the girl go if she chooses to leave. She still had some time until she would have to let the girl go, but still, she was growing fast, and the child would more than likely leave her parents (which was both a good and bad thing to both Venom and Panda) and Panda couldn't help but worry like any other mother. She did not share this with other mothers, though, but she did share this worry with Venom, so he definitely knew. He probably sensed the worry in the monochrome woman before she even talked to him about it anyways.

Panda went to search for the girl today, because she needed to speak with her on things that the girl should start to think about. Mostly what her interests were, and what courses should Panda go ahead and teach the girl. Lillith was not like the astrological pair of Taurus' like her parents were, instead she was a willowy Sagittarius, the sign that was much more adventurous and risk-taking than the earthy pair. It was weird that their child was so different from both of them. Panda wondered if the girl would aspire in Anathema, or if both Panda and Venom should leave still, like they planned on doing a long time ago, even before Lillith was born. The place did not seem like home for them, still, but it wasn't like she wasn't needed, for the pack always had injuries happening. She just....wasn't one of them...How could you be an outcast in the pack of outcasts? Ask Panda and Venom, because they sure as hell did it. They thought by the energy they read when they got here that this place was of Wiccans and witches, but this was not so. This pack was one full of liars, murderers, and traitors. Panda and Venom were not such.

Panda and Venom needed a place where the energies were not so mixed with those of the bad ones who lived in Anathema. Maybe this was what was making their child act and grow up weird. Maybe it was the energies that were bad that surrounded them. Panda was just now coming to this realization. She was in no rush to leave though because she was unsure of this. She would search the spirit realm to see what to do upon this discovery. Sooner or later she would stumble upon her daughter in a hallway, in a form that she didn't recognize for a moment. She had never seen her child in this form, and she was stunned for a moment. She stood there with wide chocolate eyes before a bright smile found it's way on her maw. Lilly!! You shifted! My baby-girl! the woman exclaimed , her energy around her bursting out for a milisecond before it swarmed around her like snakes of energy. It was an attempt to reign her energy back in, since she knew that Lillith was sensitive to that sort of thing.

Congradulations! Wait until your dad sees you, you're so beautiful, Lilly. the woman spoke with a smile as she approached closer and she held her arms open to hug the girl. Your hair is so long too! My hair was so short when I first shifted, you're lucky. spoke the mother with a chuckle. She pulled the child in for a hug and she gave out a happy screech that echoed through the hallways, and eventually would catch Venom's ears. The man was quick to react, and he came barreling down the hallways to find Panda and Lillith. When he got there, Panda was hugging an Optime Lillith. He smiled and he joined the hug to make a group. Alexa! You're so beautiful, la mia bambina! he spoke to her, a bright smile on his face.

Dust filled the air, the smell of old books, ink and paper hanging around her bringing on a sense of familiar comfort. Scattered across the floor and strategically placed upon her desk and bed lay the woman’s personal collection of books and equipment, removed from the shelves she stored them upon so that she could go about cleaning the shelves and then when she got to placing them back to treat the books, making sure that they were in as best condition that she could keep them on. For knowledge was power, not the psychical kind that one spontaneous fist fights, but knowledge gave her control, helped develop her mind and aid her in her thoughts and more complex situations if ever she was to fall within one; if only the rest of the fools could see the benefits of books and information like she, then maybe they'd be less tiresome to deal with.

Cautiously she edged around on of the more unbalanced piles in her room, ocean eyes cast down upon it as she manoeuvred to a more spacious area on the ground, making her way slowly over to the next shelf to be cleaned. Placing a leg on either side of a pile she leant forward, one hand braced upon the rough wall to the side of the shelving unit while she cleaned with the other. Completely absorbed in the task at hand she reacted slowly to the screech echoing through the tunnels. Pushing off the way she gently placed down her cleaning equipment upon the shelf before hoping her way through the maze of piles and exiting her small cave, walking through the tunnels until she located the source of the screech; the young girl, the medic's kid. At the scene of such obvious parental love a soft smile spread across her lips, golden hand placed lightly upon her hip, unwilling to intrude upon what was clearly a family moment.

Slow thread is slow XD || +216.

She hadn’t even had a chance to think about moving around in this new body when she was ambushed by her mother. First it was her aura that accosted her, the bright pink and yellows snaking around her and disturbing her own gray and blue energy. Luckily her mother put a damper on it before Lillith became physically ill again. She nearly snarled, but gave in when the woman embraced her. She hugged back, and her mother let out the distinct screech that only their family seemed able to emanate.

Her father was quick to arrive, and Lillith felt the butterflies start in her heart as he looked at her. She wagged her tail as he also embraced her and said sweet nothings, Grazie papà, mi sento così alta! She said with a smile. It was only then that she noticed the other presence in the room, and hazel eyes glanced over to a woman she did not remember having seen before. She looked at the family with warm eyes, but Lillith’s attention was immediate drawn to her long dread locks. Her mother’s were beautiful, but this woman’s were very nice as well. Hello... Lillith said quietly, suddenly feeling shy, a sensation she had not felt in a long time.
