The thought of what has become of her precious family had Axelle in a slump ever since she had been reminded of them. She thought she smelled wind of her father a month ago, and ever since then she was sure he was here somewhere. Though, he never made his presence to her and she didn’t smell the scent again. Maybe she was just imagining things.

The two-toned Marbas had herself propped against the wall on one of her stone stools. She used another of the stools to prop her feet on top of, which brought her knees to her chest. She laid her head between her knees and attempted to keep the whimpers from escaping her throat. The thought of her brother, Nero, who she loved so much- dead. One little tiny whimper escaped her throat to the thought of that. The thought of him being dead made her feel so alone. Why was she the only one who escaped? Because she was the only one willing to leave. The only one willing to leave those who needed her. There was nothing she could’ve done for her mother before she died. She deteriorated so quickly, and Axelle was so young, that there was nothing that could have been done. Her father never wanted anything from her, or anything from either of them. He stayed to himself, silently killing her mother and most likely silently killing Nero as well. There was no real evidence that he killed her mother, but Anette had been too healthy to just suddenly become sick and die so quickly. She must’ve been poisoned, or something. A silent whimper escaped her throat for her mother. Even though she didn’t know her as well as she should have, she missed her dearly. Nero was just too caring. He wanted to stay with Axelle’s father to try and help him – and what did that do for him? It got him killed!

Another loud whimper escaped – why did her family have to disappear? She never cared much about her father – she actually hated him for causing so much pain. He wasn’t worthy of life. He wasn’t worthy of anything, and to think of him still alive, while everyone else was dead, was sickening. She wanted to do Nero and her mother a favor, and kill him herself. The whimpers turned silent as her sadness turned into rage. But the madness turned back to sadness once she was thinking about her mother and brother again. She was tuned out to everything around her, and she just focused on what was in her mind – all the memories of those she cared about.

Tears streamed down her face, and she could feel it becoming swollen. The fur around her eyes was soaked with sadness, and she tried to keep her mind off of her father. His rememberance was vivid, but she didn’t want to think about him. She wanted to think about Nero and Anette, her mother. She wanted to remember all the good time she had with them, but memories of her mother were faded and memories of her brother were blocked off by Tyko, her father. Axelle lifted her head from her knees, and stared blankly toward the wall, while occasionally wiping tears dripping from her eyes.

Ever since his last encounter with the two-toned female out in the forest of Anathema lands, Malakai had found it hard to get her from his mind. Axelle intregued him, infuriated him, confused him, angered him and attracted him all at the same time. She challanged him like no-one else had done for so long, she played the same games he did, and played them well. She didn't back down from his bravado and arrogance but instead pushed him. They pushed each other, seeing which would break first, like a game of Chicken. And he wanted more of it. He had kept his eyes and ears open for her around the communal areas, and that damned cat of hers, but so far, he hadn't caught her scent nearby.

As he stretched in his own den, just waking from a nap before shaking himself down, he found his eyes casting to the larger wall of his den and smirked to himself. He had told her that he would have her pelt hanging on his wall when he killed her, and while it would look stunning as decoration, he knew it would look better still on her, lying next to him. He would think of that joke everytime he saw that large blank space on his den wall, deciding he would reserve that space for that exact reason. Inhaling deeply, he decided to see what was happening in the communal area Alaki had first shown him to when he first joined the pack, Kai left his den, throwing a brief glance to the empty space on his wall, smirking to himself before heading down the hallway in his Lupus form.

He had thought he knew where he was going, that following the hallway round before turning to the left would bring him to the room he was heading for, but instead he found a different hallway with more dens there. He paused and glanced around. This place was a lot more confusing than he first thought. He continued on his path, but after a few moments, he caught a scent. A familiar scent and it instantly made his heart beat louder in his chest. It was her. Her den must be close. As he turned to see the hallway from the otehr direction, he recognized it. He had seen the cat run this way when Kai had snapped at it the first time he had met her. Knowing where he was now, Kai smirked and felt adrenaline flood through his veins. Shoud he burst in on her? Should he draw her out? He had told the female that he would get her back for pinning her out in the forest. Now that time for payback.

Deciding that he would try to scare her by bursting in, baring his fangs, snarling and growling like the Devil himself, Malakai smirked darkly, before bowing his head and snorting heavily as if to get himself ready. And so, pulling back a little as if to take a run-up, he puffed out his chest and charged right into the female's den. But the instant he set foot into her territory, his demeanor changed. His eyes had found her as he had turned into her den, and he had immediatly picked up on her tears. She was upset, and it stopped him in his tracks. Kai loved to anger this female, to get her blood riled, but as his body softened and his growling silenced itself, he felt a pang of something. Sorrow? Sympathy? Both? It wasn't something he experienced often, not towards others but he did now, towards her. Kai stood there for a few seconds, just watching her, before he approached more cautiously, his black form moving right upto her, only to sit himself down on his haunches, remaining in his Lupus form, his eyes sweeping over her features more than her body now in concern, again, not an emotion he often felt. "What's wrong, Princess?" He lifted his muzzle, letting his nose nudge at her arm softly as if trying to comfort her somehow. He used that name again, but this time, it held no hint of his usual sarcasm, instead it almost held the tiniest bit of affection.

Frex had been making his way over to her when he caught sight of Malakai, and ran and hid. He hid behind some bunched up furs on her bed, keeping a watchful eye on the black furred brute. Axelle watched Kai’s black form from the corner of her eye, but didn’t acknowledge him until he spoke to her. His cold nose nudged her arm gently, and she brought that arm up to her face to wipe the rest of the tears away. ”Nothing.” She didn’t want him to see her like this, but it was too late.

His concern, however, attracted some curiosity in her. She didn’t picture him the type to care about others – as others thought about her. She showed concern for those she cared about – did this mean Kai cared for her? The thought made her look at him, and the concern that was plain in his wolfy eyes almost made her melt. It was astonishingly cute, and she wanted to hug him, but she wouldn’t. It would make no sense to him, and she honestly didn’t want him to see her tough side broken.

She lifted herself off of the stone stools she was propped on before, and walked over to her bed of furs, leaving Kai there. She sat down on them and curled up in the fetal position. She tried not to let the tears fall, but they didn’t listen. They fell sideways now, crossing her nose and falling into her other eye before hitting the bear pelt that she slept on. She wanted him to follow her over here, and lay down next to her, and talk to her – but of course, she wouldn’t admit it. She just hoped he would read her mind and do it anyway. She wondered what it was about her situation that interested him so much. Somehow, whenever she was feeling something for him or anything, he would find her.

Silent whimpers escaped her throat, and her eyes darted Kai’s way to see if he noticed. She hoped not. She didn’t want him to hear her weaknesses. She didn’t want him to know about what troubled her because then he might use it against her. She continued to wipe tears away, and Frex came out from his hiding place, and carefully laid down beside her, behind her. He still used her as the perfect hiding place from Malakai, but at the same time tried to comfort her by letting her know he was there. He propped himself up against her, but didn’t say anything. He didn’t know what she was crying about, but he knew that she had the brute to talk to anyway.

Her answer to his question was as expected. He hadn't really thought that she would simply spill her heart out to him, no matter how much she was hurting. He already knew that these two shared a great many characteristics, and he wouldn't have done so if he was in her position. As the female lifted and moved away from him, at first he thought of it as rejection. He had approached cautiously to hint at his concern and yet she pulled away, moved herself across the room from him. His first instinct was to huff and snort - if she didn't want his sympathy or concern then fine, he wouldn't offer them to her again. But something else inside of him overrode that instinct. His eyes remained firmly locked onto her as she moved over to the pelt that lay on the den floor, and he watched her curl up onto it. He could smell the salt of her tears in the air, heard her quiet sobs, knowing she was trying desperately to hold them back, to show no sign of weakness to him. And knowing that she cried pushed aside any reaction of anger and of stubbornness.

She was upset, and this time, he didn't want to cause her harm or mischief. Now, he only wanted to make her feel better.

It was unfamiliar to him, this feeling that seemed to swirl and dance in his belly, but he went with it and seeing the cat move over to her, using her as a sort of shield between himself and Malakai, the black male made a low growling noise in his throat. It was a noise to make sure the cat didn't get in his way because Kai knew that the feline wasn't qualified to offer Axelle the comfort she clearly needed. And so, Kai moved closer to where the female had curled up, and without a word passed between them, he knew that it was comfort she needed. Nothing more, nothing less. He let his eyes wander briefly over her, the way she held herself, the way she cradled herself with her arms and again, he felt the same pang within him as he had done when he had first noticed her tears. Approaching her slowly, with the same caution and hesitancy as before, he moved right up as close as he could to her and lay down in his Lupus form, his body moving against her own, and in an incredibly rare gesture of affection, his large head tilted a little before bowing, his tongue licking softly at her cheek, tasting the tears that had rolled there previously. Another light snort left his nose, as if to remind her that he was there and that he would offer her comfort if she required it of him. She had seemed reluctant to divulge anything to him about what was troubling her and so he wouldn't ask her again. She would tell him when she was ready, if she wanted to, of course.

he’s a myth that I have to believe in
all I need to make it real is one more reason

Word Count → 391 || Points → 3 :: Hoping in Luperci form they have a little more lip muscles…

Feeling the cat behind her made her feel a bit better. Frex was good with ‘the right moment’ things, and so his silence told her that he wasn’t sure what to say. She was grateful he didn’t say anything because she didn’t feel like sharing with him. She lay there with her eyes shut, but leaking. Her nose told her Malakai was still nearby, and the soft touch of his pelt against her own let her know that he still cared. He cared enough that even by her avoiding him, he would still follow. She liked that. She needed someone who was willing, even if she wanted to act the opposite at times.

Her eyes remained closed even after he approached to lay with her. But when she felt his tongue on her cheek, she knew he was definitely there for her. None of her other flings cared as much as to comfort her and give her a kiss at the right time. Her teary eyes opened to look at the male who she was falling for so quickly – he made her feel better. She wanted to tell him what was bothering her, but she didn’t know how he would take it. She knew he had to have a dark side as well, but she didn’t know anything about it. Maybe she would feel better about telling him if she knew more about him. She wiped the remainder of tears away from her eyes, and used that same hand to pet his neck gently, and to pull him closer to her. Then she turned his head and planted a kiss on his lips – being in Optime and him in Lupus, it was almost like she was kissing a dog. When she was done, she moved away from his face and rested her head back onto her arm. She continued petting his fur gently.

She figured she would get nowhere by avoiding chances – when she left her pack, she took a chance. The chance that she took wound up killing everyone, but at least she saved herself. Axelle was daring, and she didn’t really care as to what Kai would think of her after she told him, so she did. ”It’s about my family. They’re all dead.” Hearing the word ‘dead’ pained her to even say it, ”My father killed them all.”

As Axelle's eyes opened and looked upto him, Kai's own angled down to find her own, and that eye contact held him motionless. He couldn't have pulled away even if he wanted to. He had darkness in him, a tonne of it, and yet here and now, lying with this female who was still so upset, every last drop of it had vanished from him. He watched her wipe her tears, finding himself hoping that no more fell to dampen her fur once more, before his head tilted into her hand that ruffled at his neck. Her touch was affectionate, and he liked it, more than he would care to admit, even to himself, and so when she grabbed him softly and planted that kiss upon his muzzle, he was caught by surprise a little. In any other situation, and with any other female, Malakai would have used this an his invitation, his opportunity to take things further, to become a typical male and turn their closeness into something sexual. But he didn't. It wasn't what she needed, and because of that, he found that it wasn't what he needed, either.

His body relaxed against her, especially when her hand continued to stroke against his dark fur. What was he doing? Malakai, the aggressive, dominant, stubborn, hot-headed, arrogant male was lying with a female in her own den, and he wasn't trying it on with her... Instead, he lay there like a pet, soaking up her tears. How was she doing this to him? It was as if she was taming him, his wild ways. Something about this thought paniced Kai. What next? He'd be snuggling in with that cat next... No, that couldn't happen. His chest swelled with bravado as if he didn't want her thinking he had gone soft, but he had. He had gone soft with her. To her words, Malakai cocked his head to the side curiously, watching her as if monitoring how many more tears fell from her eyes, but hesitated in replying. After all, Kai had killed a member of his family, his own brother, through jealousy and bitterness, reasons which Kai had never questioned before or since the crime. He had been just. Not only hatred, but to prove to their parents that it was Kai who would make a better Alpha, not Rafael, the golden boy. Kai was stronger, faster, smarter. The fact that Rafael was dead was proof of it. His reasons had never seemed petty, they had never lacked logic. They just were.

By telling Axelle any of it though, he would not be helping. She was upset because her father had murdered her family. His family. Perhaps her father's reasons had been as valid to him as Kai's were to Kai himself. He couldn't go down that route with her, questioning why he had done it. Malakai found himself wanting to say 'sorry', but he wasn't sure what good it would do to her or what it would mean coming from one who killed one of his own family. It was becoming clear that perhaps Kai wasn't as qualified to give her comfort and sympathy as he had first assumed. In fact, he was probably the worst individual to be having such a conversation with, having comitted much the same crime as Axelle's father had done. And yet, he knew he had to say something...

It took him a long minute to reply, but when he did, he lowered his muzzle towards her, letting another, softer snort escape, before he nudged it lightly against her own. "You miss them." Nothing quite like stating the obvious. "I hope it was quick for them..." They perhaps weren't the most tactful of words, nor the most comforting to her; most would have offered their apologies before asking about the circumstances surrounding their murders. Not Malakai. He was a creature who knew how to cause pain, who enjoyed doing so and who pulled bunnies apart just to get a look at their insides. The physicality of pain was something Kai was getting to know very well and so when he told her that he hoped their deaths had been quick, it may have sounded rather uncaring but his words came from a place of understanding and of concern. It was true - he did. There was nothing that could be done for them now, but he at least hoped their suffering had been minimal. He knew that if she wanted to, if she felt comfortable enough, she would tell him what had happened.

he’s a myth that I have to believe in
all I need to make it real is one more reason

Word Count → 434 || Points → 3 :: LOL you crack me up ! >.< By the way, I hope you don’t mind, I incorporated some of our last thread in here (his scars) – let me know if you want me to change it !

Laying there with Kai eased the pain some, and let the tears begin to dry. The fact that the event was over and there were no survivors gave her the feeling that there was no hope for any of them. Whether it had been a quick death for them or not held no significance to her now. She wanted her brother alive. Her mother had been dead for so long; she was dead to her in her mind. She wanted to know where she had been buried so she could have a conversation with her soul. Her brother, however, had been living and breathing with her even after her mom’s death. Hearing that he was suddenly now dead had her in disbelief.

Her fingers glided through Kai’s thick fur, feeling rough scars from where she bit him. It sent a pang of sadness through her, and also one of rage toward her father. Why did he have to be insane? She had so many questions, but asking them wasn’t getting her any answers. She apparently couldn’t let herself become too mad, or else she would go flying into a rage that could kill someone she loved one day, just like what happened to her mother. ”I wish I could kill him myself.” Kai would understand; she felt that he would, since they were pretty much the same. The only reason she was sorrowful about her family being murdered was because Tyko, her father, had no real motive. There wasn’t a jealousy barrier or a need to prove anything – he was just crazy and murdered her mother and brother. For. No. Reason.

Even though Kai’s words seemed cold, she appreciated his effort to try to talk to her. She thought of his attempts as kind, and she didn’t ridicule him when his awkward words came out sounding like something else. ”That’s not the point, my dear.” The point was whether her father was still alive or not, and whether he was around. She wanted to find him; she needed it. And she knew that if she needed him, Kai would be there to help.

She kept her story in pieces. One day he would get the whole scoop, but not today. He would only learn of pieces today because she felt weird just coming out with the whole story, especially in her saddened manner. ”The point is that he needs to die,” her tone was serious, ”by my hands.” She needed to get her own revenge, and even if killing ‘Tyko’ wasn’t a real challenge – she would feel so much better once the deed was done.

Malakai had never believed in spirits or the after-life but he did believe in 'souls', to a point. However, after death, these souls didn't float up to a better place, nor did they sink to a worse one. Kai believed that once the vessel had died, the soul simply faded with them. It was why he had said what he had said. No use in praying for the dead. What good would it have done them? Their physical being, the body that had tied them to the Earth had gone and so the ability to feel pain had gone with it. The best that could be done for the dying was that their end should be quick and as painless as possible, that their souls' release should be instant. Unless, of course, one wanted to prolong the suffering, something Kai was slowly becoming an expert in.

As the females hand brushed through his fur, it seemed to calm him, soothe the darkness that bubbled beneath his surface, his head turning to look at her once more when she said that she wished she could kill her father for his deeds. And he did understand. Revenge was a motive all of its own, one that took on its own entity within an individual. Some would go to extreme lengths for revenge if they felt it necessary. He wondered how far she would go for it. Again, when she spoke of her desire to end his life by her own hands, Kai wondered how far she would go.

With a slow nod of his head, he pushed his nose and muzzle against her own in something of a comforting manner, inhaling her scent just a little as he did so. "If it is something you're serious about, Princess, then I'll help. If you want me to." However, Kai knew that the anger and hatred and pain inside of her wouldn't simply vanish after the deed was done, after she had taken her revenge. His voice lowered to little more than a low whisper, his muzzle nudging gently at her cheek and up against her ear. "But you have to be prepared to live with the darkness, even after he is dead. Because it won't just disappear once you kill him."

His form shifted a little, letting his body curl towards her a little, his nose pushing and sniffing at more of her now, his muzzle moving down her neck and arm, before he butted softly against her midsection, despite the fact that she was curled up, his nose nudging against her stomach, his voice darker now. "It will remain within you, like a knot in your belly... And if you don't learn to accept it, it will slowly eat at you from the inside... until there is nothing good left." His words were very slow, very deliberate now as his nose continued to brush against her stomach, his eyes watching hers. And despite the rather dangerous subject they spoke of, the murder of her father, Kai couldn't help feel the sparks between them now, at such an inappropriate time. They shared this darkness, he knew, it waa perhaps just a little easier to see in him.

he’s a myth that I have to believe in
all I need to make it real is one more reason

Word Count → 366 || Points → 3 :: Axe has a past O_o

Kai didn’t know her dark side. He didn’t know what she had already done. He thought that this was her first time ending a life? No, he was way off. She wasn’t sure how he would feel if she told him the thing that she did. She had killed something precious to her, but only because it had to be done. She wouldn’t be able to live with the memories that they brought. ”The darkness that comes with it is not an issue with me, Kai.” He didn’t know her.

Feeling his nose glide across her body gave her the shivers. She rolled over onto her back, squishing Frex and causing the cat to bitch at her and run to his own pillow. He settled into his spot, and glared toward the two wolves. Axelle paused, looking toward the cat, Sorry, Frex. She spoke to him in low speech, but continued what she was doing shortly after. She stretched on her back, now bringing her arms to hold her head up and averting her eyes toward the ceiling. ”I need to find him.” She suddenly made killing her father her mission now. All the creative ways that came to mind excited her more – the only problem was that she didn’t know where he was.

She returned her right arm to caress his soft fur, while she thought about murdering her father. Would she give him the honor of a quick death? No. She would cut him off limb from limb until there was nothing left of him. Then she would slit his throat when he was begging her to kill him. A malicious smile found its way onto her lips. It was the perfect ending in her book.

”I think if you knew the things I’ve done, you’d look at me differently,” she sighed, keeping her eyes fixed on the ceiling of her den. She really didn’t know how he would take knowing that the woman he was interested in burned her own pups alive. But even she had a good enough reason, unlike her father. She wanted to keep it for a time when she knew exactly how he would react. She couldn’t risk losing him.

The female's words intrigued him. Hell, everything about her intrigued him. She seemed to be an exact match for him, in everything he knew of her so far. They carried the same short temper, the same need for challange and for competition, but now, another layer was added to her. It seemed the darkness wouldn't be a problem for her. Why not? Perhaps because she had known it before. Had she killed before? Maybe. It wasn't something he planned to ask her, not yet. Not because he wouldn't like her answer, but because more often that not, it would stir up feelings and memories she wanted to keep buried.

As she shifted and the cat made a hissing noise before scooting out of the way, Kai snorted at him before he turned his attention back towards Axelle, who had returned to stroking through his fur as he remained close. She seemed fairly determined on finding her father. "Well, like I said. If you are sure, then I will help wherever and however I can." Kai did notice her muzzle carried a dark smirk, much like the ones that often drifted over his own and knew darkness lurked beneath it. He would do what he could for her, whether it was helping her track him down, helping with his capture or helping with torture. Kai was ready and willing for all of it.

It was her final words that really caught his interest, that if he knew what she had done, he would look at her differently. His eyes lifted to watch her closely, and as his nose lifted from nudging softly against her belly, the wolf shifted a little, his large black form lying right up against her, only now he was a little higher up her body, his chest lying against her shoulder, his head hovering over her own as he peered down to her. "As I understand it, Axelle, this place, this pack, is full of rogues and lawbreakers, liars, thieves and outcasts..." Briefly, his eyes cast down, over her form once more. "I'd be more surprised if you had nothing to hide." His large head lowered and his nose nudged lightly against her own muzzle, inhaling against her, filling his lungs with her scent, only to lower his head to let his tongue lap once at her shoulder, only because it seemed the closest part of her to lick.

"We've all got history, Princess. It is as much a part of us as colour of our eyes or the scent of our bodies. Our pasts help shape us into who we are, the good and the bad. I won't ask what it is that you have done that you think is so terrible that it will push me away, because you are not ready to tell me. You don't trust me enough with it yet. And that is fine." Now, Malakai, the big black brute who had bitten her so deeply in the forest, who had torn open a rabbit to see its insides, who had killed his own brother, lifted his head and licked at her muzzle once, affectionately. "You'll know when you are. And when that time comes... I'll listen." Lowering his head once more, onto her chest, he lay there with her quietly now, right up against her like an overprotective guard-dog, offering comfort to this female that had drawn him in unlike any other had done before her.

Word Count → 371 || Points → 3 :: Awww Smile Kai's gettin mushhhyyyyyy !

Axelle lay there silently, with Kai’s head on her chest. His head floating up and sinking down with every breath she inhaled and exhaled. She thought about actually getting her hands around her father’s neck – would she freeze up and hesitate? Maybe. Maybe she was all bark and no bite. She never really killed something, aside from prey, that was a moving target that fought back, something that she loved once.

Axelle sighed deeply, and got up. She climbed up from her bed of furs, and walked over to a shelf full of jars of brown liquid – rum. Homemade rum that she made herself. Her supply was getting low, she would have to make more soon. She shot a glance to the corner where her fermenter sat, getting dusty. She chose one of the medium-colored brown liquids and went back to sit on her bed. She popped the lid open and took a big sip. The alcohol burned her throat as it went down, but made her feel instantly warm – instantly better. ”Shift, Kai, and drink with me.” She was seemingly Kai’s bad influence, getting him into all kinds of things he wasn’t normally used to.

Axelle kept drinking the liquid, taking multiple swigs of the rum, waiting for Kai’s approval or disapproval. She set it down on the bear hide, and lay back on the few pillows she borrowed from a human house. Frex eyed her nervously, and then eyed Kai nervously. And then what a meow sounded like to Kai, and sentence sounded like to Axelle, He’s not going to eat me when he gets drunk, is he? The cat was wide eyed and looked between the two wolves. Axelle smiled and shook her head, and hoped that he wouldn’t because she really didn’t know.

”It seems I’m always providing you with life enhancers,” as she put it, ”Am I totally a bad influence?” Hopefully the rum will take her mind off of the dark thoughts that swirled around inside of it. She offered the jar to Kai, pushing it towards him, and dropped her arm back on her stomach. Her legs were bent, in a sort of squatting position, but the rest of her body lay back on the pillows.

WC:: 507 - OOC LOL I know. Bless him. Points - 5

When the female moved in order to get up, Kai's head was forced to move, too, and so with a snort, he lifted his head from her, though kept a close eye on what she was doing. His gaze cast along the shelf to the jars of liquids and he wondered what they contained. Potions? Stuff to make that 'goop' mixture? Ingredients? When she chose one and returned to the furs where he lay, Kai shuffled a little aside to let her sit back down, his gaze inspecting the jar she brought. But once it had been opened, there was no questioning what it contained. He knew the smell of alcohol well enough, especially strong, home-brewed stuff. The black male couldn't help but chuckle as the female told him to shift to share the drink with her, only to smirk some when she asked if she was a bad influence on him.

His eyes flicked to the feline that had previously meowed but now paid it no attention. His focus was firmly planted upon Axelle, and dropping his gaze to the jar she offered him, Kai shook his head softly, in answer to the first request to join her in a drink. As she lay back on the furs, Kai scooted closer to her once more, his wet nose sniffing the air a little before returning to the position he had occupied previously - lying down by her side, as close as he could, his head coming to rest upon her chest, rising and falling with every breath of hers.

"I'm usually the first to dive into the alcohol, but for now, I'll settle for remaining a spectator in the sport." Kai offered her a soft smirk, but his eyes held something of concern. "After all, one of us has to keep our head screwed on, right?" The truth of it was that she obviously needed to drown her sorrows and for the moment, Kai felt a little protective over her. If they were both wasted, and she was upset, he had that much more less control. Kai enjoyed a drink, certainly, he liked the buzz, the freedom from inhibitions, but he didn't carry too many of them to begin with. "As for you being a bad influence on me, then no... I don't need a little Devil hanging on my shoulder, Princess." That name for her again. When he had first used it, it had dripped with sarcasm, meaning to cause her frustration and annoyance, but his tone had changed. Now it seemed to hold affection perhaps, familiarity certainly. "Do you?" Again, the dark male lifted his head from her chest, only to let his nose nuzzle against her stomach as he looked up her body to her eyes, to gauge her reaction somewhat, a dark kind of mischief playing behind his gaze as playfully, his tongue lapped at her stomach just once before he broke into a low chuckle. Malakai felt the sparks between them again, and knew that on some level, she did too.

he’s a myth that I have to believe in
all I need to make it real is one more reason

Word Count → 532 || Points → 5 :: <3

Keeping her head knocked back over the pile of pillows, she felt Kai inch up and lay his head back on her chest. She smiled, but it was concealed by the way she was laying. She flipped her head back, feeling a little silly now that she had some rum. She kissed him on the cheek, and once again sat up to get the jar. His head had to move again, but she made sure she laid back down in the same position so he could put it back. She capped the liquor and put it to the side. ”Maybe another day then.” She was a little disappointed in him not wanting to join her – what could possibly happen in her den? The safety of the caves was all they needed.

…I don’t need a little Devil hanging on my shoulder, Princess. Axelle cocked her head to one side, like a dog that heard a weird noise. She didn’t understand what he meant, ”What do you mean ‘a devil on your shoulder’? You mean me?” She looked at him for a few seconds before looking away and answering what she understood of the question, ”Well, if you mean what I think you do – then no, I’m my own devil. I don’t need one on my shoulder either.” Even though the name ‘Princess’ used to annoy her, now it was just there. As long as it didn’t have a certain tone to it, she took it as an affectionate nickname. He needed one now, though she wasn’t big on nicknames.

Axelle used her right hand to continuously pet Kai… and Kai nuzzled her stomach. It tickled her in a good way, a way that she wasn’t used to feeling. Axelle cracked a smile as she watched him lick it now, which also tickled. She laughed, giving him questionable eyes, ”What are you doing?” She giggled in between sentences, ”It tickles!” Axelle got up and climbed on top of Kai’s big Secui, dog body and pinned him on his back again, but playfully this time. She attempted to tickle his stomach and all around his torso, hoping to get a reaction from him. She had no idea where he was ticklish, but she hoped she would find out.

All the days she spent with him, she seemingly felt closer to him. She learned a new side of him every day, and after the first time she met him he didn’t seem so gruff anymore. Though, she knew he still had it in him, his sweet side intrigued her. It made her feel whole and like there really was someone out there to change her outlook on men. Kai never tried to hurt her, in the malicious way that she was once hurt before. Sure, play fighting turned into real fighting, but that was something she could handle, plus she did have the upper hand on him. He didn’t feel like something she could let go of, and maybe she was falling for him. As much as she didn’t want to admit it, soon enough she would be attached to this wolf and they would be inseparable. A bundle of trouble, two peas in a pod.

WC:: 447 - OOC Points - 3:: Kai's definately all gooey ;-)

Kai's dark smirk widened when she looked rather confused when he spoke of not needing a devil on his shoulder and chuckled a little at her answer - it had been what he had meant. Kai was his own Devil just as Axelle was hers, they didn't need anyone else to get them into trouble. They would manage to do it perfectly fine on their own. As the females' hand continued to stroke through his dark fur, he realized just how much he enjoyed her touch, the calmness it brought to him, to his quick-tempered soul, and as his feral eyes remained locked upon her, she heard her laugh as he nuzzled into her and licked at her belly. It wasn't often that Kai showed such affection for another, usually reserving only anger, animosity and pure cunning for others. But this female was different, she drew this side out of him like no-one else had done.

When she lifted, Kai watched her curiously, still with that rather dark smirk of his and didn't put up any resistance whatsoever when Axelle pounced at him, simply chuckling as he rolled over with ease onto his back, his tongue lolling a little as she began tickling him, a wide playful grin across his muzzle, echoed in his eyes. The usual sense of competition flared within him, urging him to retaliate as this female pinned him down, but he didn't. He didn't try and push her off, he didn't writhe or wriggle much beneath to her to dislodge her, because the truth was he didn't want her to fall from her positon on top of him. He laughed, his muscles tensing against her roaming hands as they tried to find a ticklish place on his form but all that it did was strengthen the quick-forming bond between the two. "Careful, Axelle... Keep tickling me like that and you'll get an altogether different reaction from me than you were expecting..." His stomach was the weakest place on his body, and there wasn't many he would allow to touch anywhere near there, but as he looked up to this female, his chuckling darkening a little as a rather sultry look flashed behind his eyes. The fact that he was even showing her his belly meant that he trusted her. He barely even knew her, and yet it felt like he had known her for a lifetime.

As his eyes remained fixed upon her, watching her every move, her every reaction, his body relaxed beneath her and his eyes seemed to lose the mischevious, playful spark it had flickered with, instead showing something warmer, something more affectionate in them. He wanted her, every part of her.

Axelle stopped rapidly tickling him, and gave him a playful wide eyed expression at the mention of a ‘different reaction’. She looked down at him below the belt making sure that she hadn’t caused that type of reaction already. She was happy to see that she didn’t, and continued to touch him. This time she was gentle and lightly slipped fingers down his exposed belly. She could feel his strong abs hiding beneath the skin, which turned her on a bit. In Optime he must’ve had some good muscle tonnage on him, but she hadn’t noticed before. Next time she would have to look.

She kept her touch light and feathery as she continued to touch the almost hairless skin on his underbelly. She looked at his face as she did this, and saw an unusual expression in Kai’s eyes. They didn’t hold the sneaky, mischievous look that they normally did. They seemed to hold desire now, and she wondered if the desire was actually for her; or was it for, what it usually was, sex? The Luperci race alone had many horny times, and she could even include herself. Her hands wandered and went where they pleased – sometimes getting her into trouble. She couldn’t help but wonder what it was that was making him look this way, ”What?” The curiosity dripped from her voice, but she looked sincere. She wanted to know what he was thinking, and she wanted him to feel comfortable enough to tell her.

She climbed off of him, and fixed herself to lay beside him on her side with her arm propping her head up. Her bi-colored eyes pierced into his – she really wanted to know what he was thinking about. ”Tell me.” She looked away from his gaze, but her voice was serious. Her eyes explored his Secui body instead, and then at last came back up to his yellow gaze.

WC:: 509 - OOC Lol well, Kai started the ball rolling in that smug little way of his hehe Points - 5

The females' touch became lighter in its nature, making Kai focus that little bit more on the path her fingertips were taking as his eyes continued to watch her closely. What was happening to him? Kai had always been so dominating, aggressive and more than anything, selfish. Malakai usually only ever cared about himself. But now, in the company of this female, he found himself feeling rather protective over her, like it was somehow his job to keep her safe. He tried to form some sort of logic out of this, some sort of reason but there was only one thought that he came back to. And he was almost afraid of that thought.

As the female got that curious look in her eyes, Kai didn't answer her question, but his gaze did follow her as she slid from him and lay on her side, right next to him. The black male remained on his back in his Secui form, his head turned towards Axelle, and saw the way her eyes swept over his form just as his his had done to hers on more than one occassion. With slow, deep breaths, he inhaled her scent before eventually pulling his gaze from her, turning it to look up at the ceiling of her den, a slow smile spreading over his muzzle, like he knew a secret that wasn't going to share. A hint of that playful look had returned to him now as he snorted dismissively to her demand that he tell her what was on his mind. He knew that it would frustrate her, that smile of his, the fact that he looked so content.

The truth of it was, that while he knew what he was thinking about her, he didn't know what it meant, what he ultimately wanted from her. He knew that he thought she was stunning, that her eyes drew him in like no other, and that he adored the sense of challange she presented, that she could constantly match his wit and stubbornness. But what did that mean? Did it mean anything? Malakai worked through these thoughts, repeated them in his mind, still with that secretive smile before eventually turning his head to the side once more, returning his feral gaze to her own. "I have a space on my wall, in my den, reserved for that pelt of yours, given how much I admire it..." Now Kai turned onto his side, but as he did so, shifted seemlessly into his own Optime fom, his posture echoing hers, his hand propping his head up, facing her. "But now, I'm not so sure I'd just like your pelt on my wall, Princess. I think I'd like the rest of you in my den, too." Calmly, his smile broadened, as if he had only revealed part of his secret. "But...." He stopped himself from saying anything else, planned and on purpose, like he wanted her to wonder what he had been about to say. Another mind game, another way of exerting his dominance, his control?

Her attention was all on him as she listened to him, waiting for him to explain what was making his eyes look so desperate, so wanting. Kai’s dog posture was almost comical. He was on his back with his front paws up in front of him, and his hind legs open and spread. She had to exert a large amount of effort to keep her eyes from wandering to a place on his body that wasn’t appropriate right now. Instead, she kept her gaze on his face, catching word about her pelt being hung on his wall. She couldn’t help herself, despite trying to be quiet and listen to him, ”aHAH. How sweet of you…!” She poked him playfully hard in the chest with a knuckle. He was pretty serious about that, wasn’t he? She fell silent again after she got that out.

When he turned and his limbs began to get longer and take more of the shape that hers had, she finally felt better with him. She hated being in different forms with others; it felt weird, especially when she was kissing the other. With him in the same form she was in, she felt that she could do more with him. He could actually kiss her back in the way that she had been kissing him. A stray finger reached out to draw gentle circles on his chest, but when he paused she looked up with expectant eyes. ”I could come to your place more, if you want me to...” Then she went back to look at her finger play with his fur. When he didn’t say anything more, her expectant gaze looked back up at him and seemingly became stronger. ”But…?” Her finger left his chest to poke him lovingly in the tip of his wet nose.

Malakai's attention flickered briefly from this female's eyes down to the finger that brushed its way over the taut muscles of his chest, over where his heart had started to beat just a little quicker. This only made his smirk grow deeper, darker even, but while he loved the fact that he was pulling the female in, he couldn't help but notice that he himself was being pulled in to her, too. She had had such an impact on him, so quickly, that he wondered if this was a flash in the pan, ignited sparks combusting in a blazing fire, but that would inevitably die down so soon after its inception, or whether it was something more, something lasting, like hot coals.

Whatever it would turn out to be, Malakai knew he was enjoying himself a great deal around her, and as she offered to perhaps come to his den a little more, his eyes sparked wildly. Which male wouldn't want a good-looking female to drop by his den more frequently? However, the smirk faded a little when she fell for his little trick, making her ask him what he had been about to say. His eyes continued to glitter with something of mischief, of playfulness, but also with something more. Something more sincere.

As her finger tapped him on the end of his muzzle, he didn't respond, looking altogether more serious, his smirk fading fast. "But... It wouldn't do your reputation any good, to be seen creeping in and out of my den at all hours." The way he spoke, the soft tone of his voice made it sound like he genuinely cared for what others would think of her, for her sake. "I wouldn't want you picking up a bad name for yourself by getting involved with the likes of me, Princess..." As his eyes found hers again, suddenly very aware of the fact that he was naked. It was the reason he spent so little time in his Optime form - the need for some sort of clothing. Unnecessary in his other forms, making it much more convenient, but now, as he lay there facing her, he was aware that his whole body was on show for her, if she dared to glance down.

he’s a myth that I have to believe in
all I need to make it real is one more reason

Word Count → 390 || Points → 3 :: LOL just so you know… Axe is ‘naked’ too O.O

She put a face as if to seem like his words offended her. Axelle would be the last person to worry about her reputation, and about who would think what. She was free to do whatever she pleased without the chains of judgment holding her back. She was the one who snorted this time. She stopped touching him and flopped over on her back again, ”I don’t care what others think, Kai.” Her tone was a little annoyed, ”If I did, then it would’ve stopped me from what I’m doing a long time ago.”

Nudity wasn’t something that bothered her at all. To her, it wasn’t nudity- It was natural. They were wolves somewhere in their core and wolves didn’t wear clothes. Luperci shouldn’t have to either. Wearing clothes was a choice, and also a choice that she only chose to do sometimes. Today wasn’t one of those days. Her skirt lay, folded on a nearby shelf, but she had no intention of putting it on. Although she felt pretty in her skirt, she also didn’t require wearing it all the time. As for Kai being naked next to her, it wasn’t his nakedness that distracted her. It was him; with or without clothes, she would still have the urge to look places that she shouldn’t. Her eyes always managed to wander at the most inappropriate times.

Luckily, being on her back right now didn’t give her the opportunity to look at below the belt areas, unless she wanted to make it obvious and crane her neck. They were always on her mind, though, being the pervert she was. She kept her eyes toward the ceiling and searched for the right words to tell him. ”You should be worried about being with ‘the likes of me’, Kai.” She still didn’t have a nickname for him… Cupcake will do.

She rolled over the other way, away from Kai, and onto her stomach. She was now in the middle of her bed, nearby the pillows, but she didn’t take any of them. Instead, she kept herself up by her elbows. ”So… What are you getting at really, Kai?” It wasn't a suitable time to throw cupcake at him. She was thinking about cutting to the chase and telling him how she felt about him herself, if he didn’t want to do it now.

WC:: 502 - OOC Points - 5. God, two pervs together! LOL

The female snorted at his comment about her reputation before turning to lie on her back, and when her eyes were averted, Kai took the opportunity for his grin to broaden and his gaze to wander over her form as he had done so many times before. So that had answered one of his questions - Axelle obviously wasn't bothered about what others thought of her, which in his book, was a good thing. It meant she wouldn't be glancing over her shoulder every five minutes to see if anyone was tutting their displeasure or disgust at her actions. When she echoed the same sentiment towards him, mentioning it should be he who was worried about his reputation, Kai couldn't hold back a laugh. "Being with 'the likes of you' doesn't worry me one little bit, Axelle." Using her real name was a fairly rare occurance for him, it seemed, preferring his self-given nickname for him, but it only meant that she would notice it that much more when he did use it, the way her name rolled perfectly off his tongue.

As her form moved that little bit further away from her, his eyes lifted to watch her features once more rather than her body, his eyes turning a little darker to her question. What was he getting at? If only he knew, himself. Taking a long moment to think carefully about his answer, Kai inhaled deeply only to let it out in a slow, indecisive sigh before he pulled himself up into a sitting position, his attention shifting now from the female to her den, to the jars and trinkets she kept around her. Kai didn't have much in the way of possessions - he didn't need much. When he caugh a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye, he saw the cat shifting a little in its hiding place, and he smirked once more, revealing his fangs a little as he did so before turning his head to look over at the female and once more, his eyes made the journey all the way up her body, over the length of her legs, her tail, backside and the soft curve of her back.

With a slow, gradual movement, Kai moved too now, and crawling over towards her, he lifted his hand and with just one padded finger, he made contact with her body, dragging his finger along the same trail his eyes had made, beginning down at her lower leg, rising all the way to the small of her back where his finger found the line where the darker side of her form met the lighter one. Still, his finger slid up her back as he crept closer still to her, his muzzle moving right up against her ear, his voice low and husky as he whispered to her. "That cat of yours might have to get used to hiding from me in the near future... What I'm really getting at is that... I want you..."
