All was quiet around the Denahlii household. Night had descended across the Arte lands and brought with it a curtain of silence, broken only by the quiet chirping of the night insects and a loud clang as a clumsy adolescent luperci tripped over her own feet and onto a metal bucket.

Keldava swore quietly, a rather futile gesture since her fall had likely woken anybody that was going to be woken, as she lay on the ground. When Keldava had finally shifted she had wanted to go into Optime and run about, singing and dancing her joy at finally shifting out to the world, wanted being the key word. Keldava had taken to walking in Optime form like a fish took to land; with great difficulty and lots of flopping about on the ground.

Keldava tried to rise to her feet, resulting in several false starts as she got tangled in her own alien limbs and fell back to the ground. Eventually she just gave up and rolled onto her back, eyes gazing upwards at the sky. As difficult as it was to walk in Optime form had its advantages, chief among them how easy it was to relax in. The limbs were much more adaptable to differing conditions than the more rigid lupine forms. Laying on her back to watch the stars in Lupus or Secui was a matter of balancing but an easy task in Optime.

She briefly considered trying to actually do something but vetoed the idea. She had come outside to look at the stars anyway - she had found that stargazing was a good way to calm down and sleep when something, her recent shifting in this case, had her too worked up to sleep - and this spot seemed as good as any other. Not worth the effort of shifting or trying to walk in optime to move.

OOC here!

A large clattering woke the pup up. Startling Dalgina uncurled from where she'd been, the warmth of her siblings heaped around her. Nose sniffed the air, searching for the source. There was nothing out of the ordinary. Stretching Dalgina padded across the floor, managing to avoid disturbing her two older siblings. Brown eyes peered through the darkness, the ebony pup invisible in the night's grace. Keldava was missing. Whining quietly she padded through, searching for her sister. Where could she have gone?

Stepping outside Dalgina spotted Keldava stretched out, gazing at the sky. Dalgina's own gaze lifted up, taking in the silvery light filtering through, the stars a mystery she couldn't quite capture. Sitting down Dalgina looked over to Keldava, tail wagging softly before she began to shift. Limbs lengthened gracefully, long black hair tumbling down her back. Fingers pushed forth, and the slow shift was completed. Why are you up?

Keldava's unplanned stargazing session was abruptly interrupted by the appearance of her sister. 'Gina was clad in her own bipedal form and, handling herself much better than Keldava the younger of the two noted with a mental tone halfway between bitter and amused, had made her way outside to see what Keldava was doing. "Couldn’t sleep. Had too much energy since I shifted, restless. Want to run, want to explore." Keldava said softly in response to the question posed to her, taking a second to consider why 'Gina herself might be awake before pinpointing her tripping over the bucket as the likely cause, "Sorry. Didn’t mean to wake you, fell over" Keldava ended with a short, low growl, aimed at the bucket which lay innocuously by her feet.

Keldava breathed out deeply, the slight chill still present in the night air causing her breath to mist lightly in front of her, obscuring the stars for a second. "Sky's nice tonight." she said absently before falling silent for a few moments, her eyes roaming the sky once more. A flash of white to the edge of her vision caught her attention as the moon slowly poked its way out from behind a cloud. A sudden amusing thought occurred to her and she snorted lightly, one corner of her mouth curling up into a toothful grin, "Look, I can see you Dalgina." she said in an amused tone of voice and rarely using her siblings full name as she gestured between the dark furred female and the moon.

Too much energy. It certainly had been difficult to settle back down again after she had shifted for the first time. Taru's patience had probably been taxed thin, working to keep up with her on that first day. There had been so much to do, finally able to reach out for things that had always been out of reach. Disorienting as well, suddenly being so much taller from before. Luckily she'd adapted easily enough, unlike Keldava. She gazed up at the stars, wishing they could go off and play together. They were old enough now after all. Right?

She giggled at the apology, shaking her head. It's okay. Probably would have woken up anyways. With such a beautiful sky it surely would have called her out. She glanced at the bucket, using one hand to push it away. Her head whipped over as Keldava said her full name, curiosity glistening. Looking up she spotted the moon and laughed. I'm so big! Her tail thumped softly, knowing that she truly was small, only taller than Pandora.

Keldava smiled when Dalgina went along with the joke, ”Up in the sky at least you are, down here? A little bit shrimpier.” she teased gently, letting out a quiet giggle in place of wagging her tail; said appendage currently trapped under her thing and unable to really move, ”M’ bored” she said softly, her voice curious as she tried to think of something to do. Looking at the stars was alright but with ‘Gina around it seemed somewhat lacking; with her sister available there were much funner things that the two could be doing!

Can you think ‘f somethin to do?” she asked ‘Gina, folding her arms behind her head to provide a cushion as she thought, trying to think of a game that the two could play. With their optime forms now available to them there was a lot more that they could do but much of it was rendered unavailable by Keldava’s clumsiness and tendency to trip herself up while walking. She thought over it for a short while before snorting and deciding to try something anyway; falling over wasn’t the end of the world and she wasn’t going to learn how to run and jump by thinking about it, she needed to practise and try if she wanted to succeed.

A small, devious smile wound its way onto Keldava’s face as a thought suddenly occurred to her. ”Hey, ‘Gina…” she called up, raising one hand innocently as though to adjust her hair, before said hand suddenly shot out, striking ‘Gina lightly just above her knee, ”Tag!” Keldava called, quickly dropping her hand. Her arm darted down quickly, Keldava attempting to catch ‘Gina’s ankle and pull her more graceful sisters feet out from under her to give Keldava time to scramble to her feet and set off running.

OOC here!

Dalgina giggled at Keldava's words, tail thumping against the ground quietly. She loved spending time with her sister, even if she did get teased about how small she was. Dalgina was growing still though, and she was sure that she would come up tall. The black pup looked over to her patchwork sibling, considering the complaint. Dalgina was happy as she was, just watching the stars and being with Keldava. If Keldava wanted to do something though Dalgina was eager to help.

Dalgina considered the question carefully. They could go further into the woods. They could play hide and seek. Maybe they could try and catch the moon's reflection. She looked down innocently to Keldava, unaware of the plot. Yelping Dalgina hit the ground, scrambling to get back onto her feet as Keldava stood up, using the time to gain distance on her. Huffing Dalgina raced after her, paws beating against the ground. She was made for the night, smooth and silent in her approach. Only flickers of light revealed her presence as she charged up to tap Keldava, ready to spin and leap for the woods.
