Why do today...

(This is back dated to May 30th, immediately following the end of Itheral's joining thread)

Every step he took on the way down to the caverns hurt. Itheral's forepaw still stung quite a bit after the unusual bloodletting ritual Alaki (as he learned his name was) preformed not long ago. The plump wolf didn't dare say a word of it though; no reason to risk irritating a superior before he'd even been assigned a living space. The further down they went, the more nervous the black canine felt. Just how far down did they have to go? The mixed smells common of a den were growing stronger, but there was something inherently different about them. Something...off. It was with no small amount of relief that Alaki brought him to an admittedly sizable den, just through a series of tunnels. Even better, he hadn't run into anymore of the bipedal creatures yet..

Without a word, Itheral trotted into the den, and looked about. It was a plain looking den, but it was large enough for him to stretch his legs in, so he couldn't complain. Well...he likely could, but the still nervous wolf didn't dare, lest Alaki unsheathe that horrible blade again. Curling up in a corner, his eyes darted around the room, mind racing. This was it eh? A few hours ago, he was wandering about, pack-less, yes, but free. Now, he felt like he was trapped, mind coming up with all sorts of horrible, terrifying figures that would likely make up his 'packmates'. If they were anything as terrifying as Alaki, the poor rotund wolf was going to be in for a world of hurt. With a soft, barely audible whimper, Itheral let his head rest upon his forepaws, letting out a long, drawn out sigh. He likely should be walking about, getting used to the new surroundings...but, with all things considered, he just couldn't be bring himself to get off the floor.

The demon had come to the caves to grab a few things and deposit some hides that had been finished by her sister. The golden woman had to admit having her younger sister around was calming and a good thing. She was able to do more around the pack and spend time with her mate. Aeron smiled as she looked at her sister and smiled.

Alright Catrin lets get going there's work to be done. She said looking at the other coyote. The pair was an odd site among the wolves in anathema. She smiled as the pair walked the cave. Aeron dressed in her typical cloak and shorts and tee while Catrin wore a skirt and a tank top. Catrin was a kind soul who took care of children. She was lighter in color and more silver then gold her eyes a deep silver. Aeron smiled as she watched the other. Its quiet in the caves today. Aeron said smiling.

He'd come close to dosing off a couple of times, but each time, he seemed to hear some unfamiliar sound, or smell some faint scent that pulled him from rest. It seemed, both times, the sounds and smells had simply been his overacting imagination, so it wasn't until he actually heard voices echoing slightly down the tunnels that he sat bolt upright. The fat wolf wasn't really sure why he was so anxious; perhaps it was simply curiosity, a need to know what kind of creatures called this place home. After seeing Alaki, Itheral wasn't about to discount anything.

With a grunt, the overweight canine got to his paws. Hesitating for a moment, tempted to just lay back down and ignore it, Itheral took a quick breath, and walked out into the tunnel. He glanced left, then glanced right. Nothing. Perhaps he should of left well enough alone, and just turn back, lay down, and mabye get some shut eye. He'd had a rough day, after all, between his long hike, getting lodged ina cavern for almost an hour, then being freed, threatened, and recruited by a terrifying bipedal wolf-thing named Akali, Itheral had barely had a chance to sit down. Alas, curiosity won out, and the wolf nervously called out into the tunnels.

"Hello!? Is someone there?!"

Malakai had been resting, or at least he had been lying in his den with his eyes closed, curled up on his preferred Secui form. He hadn't been asleep, though. He hadn't been a member of Anathema pack for very long, and not only was he still trying to learn the layout of the place, he had only met with a handful of other pack members and knew there was a lot going on around the place that he hadn't seen yet. His ears flicked a little at the noises of the dens, his nose sniffed the air just a little for any familiar scents, but soon enough, his senses picked up a nearby presence he didn't know, hadn't met yet. Another new member? Every new pack member that Kai met had the possibility to either become an ally or an enemy, there weren't many that fell inbetween the categories.

Lifting himself and shaking down his pelt briefly, Malakai padded out from his den and glanced both ways along the hallway, seeing a few beings wandering along past the other dens. Heading along to follow them, it was then that he heard a rather nervous voice calling out into the hallway. Instantly, Malakai let a smirk run over his muzzle, darkness sparking in his eyes. This one seemed jumpy already, which probably meant thathe was in unfamiliar territory, surrounded by new sights, smells and sounds. Perfect prey for Malakai.

Feeling instantly dominant, Kai kept his movements slow and quiet as he saw the creature, looking down the hallway in the other direction, obviously wary. Kai had to snort a silent chuckle and speeding up but remaining quiet as he did so, the black wolf approached the other black male and came to a stop a few metres away from Itheral, Kai's feral gaze firmly planted upon him, his chest puffed out, his muscles taut, wanting to look somewhat intimidating to this newcomer. First impressions were all-important, after all. Itheral would only become aware of his presence when he caught his scent or turned his head to glance along the corridor to his left once more. But Kai couldn't contain himself for a second longer, and in a low, deep, dark voice, spoke to this male. "Someone is always here... Get used to it." Tilting his large head to the side, Kai let his gaze trail over this other male, noticing the bulk he carried, but knew that it wasn't muscle. His grin remained sly, as if he were already plotting something, some great mischief. "What's your name, Newbie? And how come you ended up in a pack full of rogues and criminals?" This wolf didn't look like the type with a dark past. It intregued Kai.

The Ganesa pair had finished their mission and now the younger was following Aeron on a tour of the caves. The Atheed had nothing to do and was in no rush but she could sense that there was something that just didn't seem right. maybe it was just her hate for caves and spaces that made her feel like the world could come crashing on her. She hated living in caves and she was glad to have her home in the hotel.

As the pair moved the ex-assassin could here movement. It did not help that almost anything echoed or could be well heard in most of the cave area's. Catrin looked at her sister and smiled. So Aeron are we going to do anything fun? she asked. Though she already knew that fun was out of the question, fun was not something that Aeron did.

Aeron gave her a look and then turned her head a bit listening to the sounds. Someone calling out? Hmm how interesting. Come Catrin She spoke turning her cloak engulfing her. She was not looking to sneak up on anyone but she was interested. Catrin followed her gown flowing due to the fast turn. Aeron could see a large dark male and watched him stand at a cave entrance. She was sure she had heard a voice back here. The black male then spoke out and Aeron cleared her throat. Not all are rogues or criminals. She spoke piercing golden eyes stared at him as Catrin stood beside her sister. Both coyote women smaller then the wolf male but that mattered not to Aeron. size had no meaning nor did strength just ask her mate. Some of are far worse child.
