OOC here!

Humming Dalgina worked on the painting she was on. She still only had a handful of colors, but the wolf was determined to not let that stop her. The landscape coming out was off, a sunset of blue and red and green, lacking the yellow it should have held. It was a touch disappointing, knowing she didn't have the colors to make a real sunset. It was the best she could do though, at least until she found more colors to paint with.

Tehu was practicing hunting nearby. His feathers were finally grown in, the kestrel enjoying the ability to swoop widely across the sky. The call brought her attention up, looking over as he carried yet another mouse over. Dalgina was getting quite the pile at this point, even a couple baby bunnies there. Holding out her arm she let Tehu land, petting his feathers softly. Good boy. You're a good hunter. There was enough there for her to actually have a meal from, even if it was all small.

Ovi’s blue eyes did not open until late in the day, much to his surprise; he had slept much longer than he had in a long time. This dallying was not good, and the large cat got up and quickly got moving without a second thought. He had to keep moving, if not, that trader might catch up with him finally, and he wasn’t sure he could escape again.

It did not take long for Ovidiu to realize what had woken him as his stomach growled loudly and seemingly twisted in his body as if it were a writhing snake. It made him feel sick, but it was not like he had had anything to cough up anyway. The last time he had eaten was several days ago, when he had gotten a little bit of the fish he had accidentally caught. The majority of the fish he had given to Kohaku, the rambunctious wolf pup he had met. This had been the only other soul he had seen since coming into these lands, whatever these lands were. The last place he had been sure he had been was in the suburbs of New York, after that had only been human ruins and wilderness.

The sun was setting, and it was beautiful, but the tiger did not give himself a moments rest and he kept trotting through the trees, much less silently then one would think of a large cat of his breed. Ovi was clumsy though, his large paws sometimes more than he could manage, and when he stepped on a large, dead limb it snapped with a dry whacking sound. Ovi nearly jumped out of his skin, but when he whipped his head up to look around, through the bodies of the trees he saw a black figure in the field beyond the brush. It was a girl, a young Luperci girl, and she was painting. He stared for a moment, breathing in her clean scent, and noticed that there was a bird with her. He hesitated, not sure if he should make himself known, what if she was in league with the trader? But he was so hungry… maybe she had something to eat. Tentatively, the ruddy boy stepped into the setting sunlight, Um… hello? he said hoarsely, and nervously.

A large sound grabbed her attention. It was exactly the kind of thing she liked to avoid, drawing attention and possibly causing trouble. Nervous she spun around, finding herself facing something very big, very fierce looking, and very, very colorful. Dalgina's nose worked as quickly as it could, drawing in the foreign scent. It wasn't anything she knew. He had blue eyes, surprising Dalgina a little, almost soulful to gaze into. The colors covering his body was amazing as well. Dalgina just wanted to step over and touch him, running her hands over the bright colors and seeing if they'd come off.

Her tail wagged at the hoarse greeting, stepping over to him. He could talk! Tehu could talk, but he wasn't very good at it. Hello! I'm Dalgina. Who are you? You're very pretty. Where did you get the colors from? Perhaps too many questions all at once, but she was excited, unable to contain herself from talking. Boldly the black pup moved closer, brown eyes roaming all over him. You're huge!

When the beautiful girl caught sight of him, for a moment he thought she might run. He hadn’t experienced the fear his visage brought to some people in a long time, so it was a bit of a painful shock to see that look on her face. But it lasted but only a moment, and it quickly shifted to a look of curious glee. She greeted him, and came towards him quickly, and he was so elated that she, Dalgina she had said, was friendly that it caused his own tail to swish with pleasure.

She was very young, and this reminded him even more of the girls he had left behind in New York. She was much, much darker then they though, her hair was so straight, where theirs had been curly. With large, sparkling chocolate eyes she asked where he had gotten his colors from. He looked confused for a moment, and then realized that she probably had never seen a tiger, like the majority of everyone he met; in New York, it was not so strange a site; exotic animals came and went often. But here, wherever here was, well, this was wild and natural and like it was meant to be; tiger free.

If the tiger could have blushed he would have as she remarked on his size; it was true, even despite his current skinny state he was enormous, and if he could have stood on his hind legs like she, he would have been taller than her by several heads. But, to answer her first question, Oh, I was born this way, I’m a tiger. He smiled up at her, My name’s Ovi, I’m glad to meet you Dalgina. You’re very pretty too. He could see the look on her face, the curious fervor and need to explore with her hands, It’s ok, He said, lifting a large orange creamsicle paw towards her, You can touch me if you want. It was a strange thing to say, but in all honesty, Ovi was yearning for any affection he could get.

Dalgina watched a long, ropey tail stretch out, swaying with pleasure. It was so much longer than everything else, almost matching the length of his body! Hypnotized by the sight Dalgina watched it stray, taking a few steps even closer, unaware of how much damage one large paw swipe could do to her. His ears flattened as she talked about his size. Did he not like being so big? Dalgina herself was rather small in appearance, making it look like she was even smaller in comparison to him.

A tiger. That wasn't anything she'd ever heard of before. Briefly Dalgina thought about everything she had heard in her life, all the stories and things she had learned. Nope, no tigers. He couldn't be from the arctic then, as Mahn had told her everything about that place. She smiled shyly at his words, ears flattening slightly. Was she really? Dalgina didn't think much about her own appearance, far too engaged by everyone else's that she came across.

The large paw outstretched was such a sweet sight Dalgina couldn't resist the invitation. She glanced up once more before stepping right up, hands playfully running through his thick fur. That wasn't paint, for sure. She'd had paint in her fur, and it didn't feel like this. He was so warm! Ducking her head down Dalgina buried her face in him, breathing in the scent. He must be a very good tiger, so gentle and warm and big. Fingers felt across his ribs, eyes widening with surprise. Why could she feel his ribs? Are you supposed to be this bony?

She did not hesitate at all, much to his surprise, and before he knew it her long fingers and claws were in his fur and against his skin. It felt amazing, and he closed his eyes and began chuffing despite himself. And then when she stuck her face into him to smell him, he basically cooed. He knew he probably didn’t smell that great, but he didn’t care; a pretty girl was petting him, one of the best things in life for sure.

But her roving fingers stopped on his side, and he felt as she basically skipped her fingers across each of his ribs, he nearly laughed at the sensitive touch but then she asked him if he was supposed to be this skinny. He turned wide, slate eyes at her; was he really that bad? He hadn’t really noticed how much weight he had lost in the last couple weeks, especially with the lack of mirrors or anyone to tell him how he looked, Um… no, I just… haven’t had much to eat lately. He said shyly, and embarrassed. He knew that at his size and age he should be able to catch food for himself, but sadly, he had never been taught how to. He was alright at fishing, but as he had seen the other day, he wasn’t as good as he had once thought.

Then, right on cue, his stomach growled and his white spotted ears flicked back against his head and he grinned nervously at her. Would she think him stupid because he couldn’t feed himself? He sure did.

Dalgina giggled a little at the noises Ovi was making. They were nice sounds, tied into her soft strokes across his body. His large head swung over at her words, looking at her. They were such a pretty blue, longing filling them. He seemed a touch confused by her question before he answered. Surprise flickered through her features. He hadn't eaten? Why not? That was her next question, but he seemed so awkward about it, ears flattening even more when his stomach growled.

Right on time Tehu returned, dropping a vole on her head. Ducking her head she let the dead prey fall to the ground. Holding out her arm she whistled, letting the kestrel settle next to her. He clambered up, sharp predatory eyes viewing the tiger. He chirped to Dalgina, letting her know that he didn't like the big cat. Ignoring him she picked up the vole. Examining it she smiled before holding it out. Here. Tehu caught lots of prey. You can eat it. Immediately protests broke out, wings flapping around her head. Ducking Dalgina shook herself, sending the bird flying to a nearby branch to continue his complaints.

The look on her face just killed him, it was what he was dreading. Any second now she would tell him how stupid and useless he was, but instead, food dropped from the sky right onto her head. He stared, completely surprised, as she retrieved the vole from her crown and then whistled. The bird he had seen before came to alight on her arm, Wow…

Dalgina handed the vole out to Ovi and offered it to him. He looked up at her for a moment, making sure she was being honest, and he slurped the small body from her outstretched hand and swallowed it whole and it disappeared down into the vast expanse of his never full stomach. Still, it was nice to feel some form of food being swallowed and he smiled up at Dalgina, Thank you, that was very nice of you, since you don’t really know me and all. He chuckled slightly.

He glanced over at where she had been sitting before, her painting discarded, Can I see, what you were making? He asked innocently. He liked to see what the Luperci could make, because he could never make anything; he didn’t have thumbs.

OOC here!

Her tail wagged behind her as Ovi watched Tehu and Dalgina, seemingly awed by what she had done. It was a simple command, the first one she'd taught him. Dalgina needed to be able to recall Tehu back to her at any time, keeping the smaller raptor out of harm's way, and with her when she left the area. The aw did sooth Tehu a little, though his words about the tiger continued along the lines of insults, ones that Dalgina simply hoped Ovi couldn't understand.

The vole disappeared quickly, a bright smile on her face as she walked back over to where the pile of prey sat near her painting. Asked what it was Dalgina ducked her head, dark hair falling across to hide her features. Shyly she held up the mismatched painting, a mix of colors trying to depict a sunset without the soft yellow it should have held. I don't have many colors... She hoped that he'd like it.

He is so totally gonna get a crush on Dalgina XD / +188

When he asked, he noticed the bashfulness that came about her, and it was so cute. Ovi smiled at her softly, and she lead him over to her easel and showed him the painting. It was a beautiful painting, though somewhat abstract one, of the sunset. She said she did not have many colors but Ovi shook his head, That’s alright, I think it looks great! It’s like a sunset that you would see in a dream. He looked up at her, tail swishing behind him jauntily. She was such a pretty girl, and her hair was so long and straight, he had never seen hair like that before.

Ovi blushed again underneath his fur and so he drew his eyes away from her and looked from her painting to the real sunset, which was just beginning to fade to purple dusk, You have great talent, I’m envious. I can’t even catch fish let alone draw anything. His voice was somewhat said, but the smile remained on his face; he had come to terms with the fact he would never shift like they could a long time ago.

OOC what can i say? shes loveable XD

Dalgina smiled, twisting her body back and forth softly as he looked at it. She didn't do much with her art. Mahn took the paintings she did and placed them throughout the house, giving it a bright colored look. They were the works of a child though, not yet graceful in her strokes as she worked. It was the simple paintings that showed her talent, the ones where she could slow down, capturing every detail. The sunset was one of those, her tail wagging as she imagined a dream full of such sunsets, bright and warm and funny.

She petted Ovi's head softly, enjoying the thick rich fur. He was a strange creature, but very beautiful. You can't fish? I can't either. Tehu helps me with my hunting. Dalgina could hunt on her own, and she was trying to convince Tehu to help her track prey and flush it out. Tehu was rather stubbornly against it though, insisting that he could do the hunting. Maybe I can ask Taru to show us how to fish!

His compliment seemed to please her, and he secretly watched as a soft smile spread across her face as she looked at her painting and petted his head. Ovidiu suddenly felt as content as he might have been if he were still with his family, and he allowed himself to close his eyes and just be in the moment for a while. He really liked this Dalgina girl, and he wished he could just stay here in this instance forever, but when he opened his eyes again he realized it was starting to get dark, and his heart seemingly sank along with the song.

The girl chimed up in her singsong voice that she didn’t know how to fish either and this lifted his heart, but when she offered that they could learn together, his ears flattened, I would love to… He said quietly, but then turned his large head to look at the forest he had just ventured out of, But… I can’t… at least, not right now. He looked at her apologetically, I… have to go. He reluctantly pulled away from her touch, It was nice meeting you Dalgina, I would love to see you again. Maybe I’ll come looking for you sometime. He smiled then at her warmly, before turning the slowly walking back towards the forest.

OOC yes, very soon!

Confusion colored her features as he spoke. If he'd love to, why couldn't he? Ovi pulled away from her grasp, leaving Dalgina standing there to simply watch. Why? It was a childish question, but Dalgina wished with all her heart that he would stay and keep her company. Maybe they could watch the sunset together while she played with his ears. Dalgina was sure he would be a soft warmth to snuggle against.

Nodding her head Dalgina accepted his departure. Bye Ovi. Hopefully he'd come back soon. Picking up her painting she called Tehu to her. The kestrel landed on her shoulder, scolding her for approaching the danger. Dalgina hummed as she walked back home, glad to have met him.
