Out 'N About

Hiya! ^^

After her hoofed companion's misbehaving earlier in the day, Kenna had elected to do some exploring on her own. Dust was too intent on being a social butterfly with the other equines in the stables and was not up to going out on a ride with her. So, instead she headed out on foot, out of Thornbury and into the forest nearby. With a small pack of provisions on her back, a small handmade knife strapped to her hip, the cowgirl collie padded along through the trees, trying to get to know the lay of the lands and secretly hoping to maybe get to know more of her pack mates. Being new to Cercatori D'Arte meant she didn't know many people. She knew she'd need to fix that sooner rather than later.

The problem was, she'd grown rather wary and nervous of social interactions since her time being a loner in the wilds. It was gonna take the girl a bit to feel comfortable in social situations again. It wasn't like she didn't know how to show respect, she was just...easily embarrassed. Out in the wild you had to fight to survive against the more unruly characters, here...things were much more easygoing. She was unaccustomed to it. But at least normally once in a conversation, she relaxed and felt far more capable at handling company. Pausing beside a small stream, Kenna checked her reflection in the water's surface. Ugh, she looked like crap. She could really use a bit of a clean up. Apparently she hadn't gotten all the dirt off her pants and the back of her shirt from when her stallion had bucked her off his back throwing an attitude. Sighing, Kenna knelt beside the water and cupped some into her paws and began to spot clean her outfit. She really didn't want anyone the see her looking so unpresentable, especially when she wasn't working hard in the business sense. She wasn't vain by any means, but she hated when she gave the wrong impression to others upon first sight.

Eclipse was taking a walk, and she had two shadows. She was getting use to it. She requested the horses that she had roamed free, for they were still pretty wild and she didn’t really want to pen them up unless the weather was bad, so wherever she was, so were they, especially the colt that she helped birth. He loved playing with her and always had some trick up his sleeve. To Eclipse he felt like the closest thing to a brother she could ever get. She was moving through the forest at a leisurely pace and it seemed to be far too slow for her colt friend as he nipped at her hair and pulled out the scarf that had been holding it up. She cried out in surprise and stared chasing the animal with a giggle. Grace followed after her foal, with the same mischief as the young foal they both neighed as Eclipse ran after. Grace being the fastest led the baby through a small stream, though she darted to another side as she spotted something. The colt sensing his mother’s reaction dropped Eclipse’ scarf in the water.

“Nooo don’t!”

Eclipse cried out as she watched her scarf fall into the small stream. It was possibly the same one that she nearly drowned in when she was a pup, a while ago though further into the neutral territories. Looking around for something to get the scarf with as it flowed down the water she spotted a stick and rushed towards the scarf which had floated further down the stream than she thought it would. She reached the stick out to get the sopping wet scarf. She was able to catch it up in the branch and she pulled it out she beamed. That was when she saw the woman who was kneeled down next to the water.

“Oh hi!”

She said, lost for words. She too was new and seeing new faces was common for her, she did smile a bit, though more sheepishly due to the dripping scarf on the end of the stick that the colt dropped.
