EXPLOOR TIEMS. Probably a pack member he hasn't met yet? Don't mind having more than one character though. Smile

Skoll had found the secret of the Pirata Grotto.

Memories of near-drowning among the shattered rocks of the coast had made him a bit nervous about venturing toward the coast. However, he had made the trek on four legs this morning and had found that the water wasn’t as dangerous as it had been that cold day. It still crashed against the rocks in sprays of foam but here, south of Lunenburg, it no longer looked like it could dash a luperci against the shore. His paws sank into the sand as he made a trip along the area, and eventually he caught a hint of the cave. He’d paused uncertainly, his ears drooping, and ducked as low as he dared near the water’s edge to get a glimpse. The water was an almost unnatural blue, and he almost wondered if there was something magical breathing inside the hidden cavern.

Skoll allowed himself to be distracted, though, letting the surf wash up around his paws and chasing seagulls to his heart’s content. The day passed by, and by the time late afternoon rolled around, the water had receded. After checking out the gifts left during high tide, including what might have been a fish tail and a few gnaw-worthy pieces of driftwood, he meandered back toward the cave.

The low tide exposed the entrance; it was completely possible for the wolfdog to get inside now. He grinned broadly and splashed into the water, which soaked at all four legs and his belly fur as he waded under the stone mouth to see the grotto more clearly. The way the sunlight struck the water made it glow, turning his green eyes an almost oceanic color and touching his pelt with hints of blue. He laughed at the effect and cantered deeper into the cave, splashing and whipping water from his tail lightheartedly.

A dark shape loomed out of nowhere, and Skoll halted. He craned his neck, eyes growing huge as he began to make out details of the form: a broken hull with a belly full of shadows, wood sticking broken and awkward from tight rocks, a mast scraping the roof. Realization of what this was made the blonde prince’s eyes widen, and he started to bark in excitement.

A pirate ship!

ooc... They met before when Orin was a member of CdA, but I figured there would be no harm done since they hadn't seen each other since. 700+

It's ME time! Almost a month of nothing but looking after the litter of pups had gone by, and whilst the mother loved her little darlings she was ready for a moment of silence. A moment of not being poked and prodded and pestered. A moment for her body to rest before having to give up even more milk. A moment for her to get out and stretch her legs! So earlier in the day she shifted back to her Optime form for once (it was her preferred form, but feeding her milk to three children was only feasible when in Lupus), set the puppies on the bed and told Mars or Bartholomew or whoever he was today that she was going out, and left before he could retort. If the father tried to follow her she would be sure to give him a reason to let her go. Although Orin loved Mars, and she did not want to be mean, there was only so much a girl could take.

Free of the house and of her responsibilities as a mother, she jogged down the path. Oh, god, how she hated how her body felt. Normally a lean, lithe and petite Luperci, she carried some of her baby fat still. It felt like every inch of her stomach and thigh jiggled with each step she took. She wanted to work it off, she needed to work it off! Luckily a lot of it melted off on its own, but until the children were a little older she had little chance for exercise. And then there was the matter of those things... she thought as she looked down at her chest, which stuck out much farther than she ever wanted it to. She knew eventually they would go down too, once her pups were weaned completely, but for now they, too, jiggled incessantly. She suddenly found herself wishing for one of those contraptions she had seen in a clothing book once...

Anyway, she wasn't about to waste her day off searching Lunenburg for lingerie. She wanted nature, the wildl... she wanted... what was the best place in the Court? The beach! By now she was done with her wild sprint away from the house, and now that she knew where she was going she turned and walked toward the coast.

It wasn't long until the scent of the sea hung thick in the air, and she could hear the gulls – oh how she despised seagulls – screeching as they floated in the air above the waves searching for an easy meal. Soon the ground was soft and wet and her foot paws left deep trenches in the sand. She allowed the sea to take her away, to fill her mind and carry off her troubles as she walked down the coastline.

Did someone just laugh? An ear flicked and she raised her head, her eyes searching the area. The sound was hard to make out over the noise of the ocean, but she could have sworn... yes! Both ears perked and cupped now, turning to meet the voice, and she quickly fell into a step that took her toward it. She saw the grotto there before her. Tide was low now, and it would be easy to walk through the empty tide pools to the cave... as it seemed someone else already had! She was curious who, and she really wanted to be a part of whatever was so amusing.

Hurrying over the rocks, Orin paid little attention to the sea life that the tide had left behind, instead making a straight path into the grotto. “Hello?” She asked, looking around for the one she had heard. Her foot paws slipped on the mossy rocks, and she squeaked as she almost fell onto the unforgiving ground. Now her sight was focused on the rock and catching a good foot hold, so she did not see the young wolf within the grotto before her. She spoke to her feet when she said, “Is somebody here? I thought I heard... laughing... ahh!” She had her balance for a second before slipping on the algae again, and this time she fell flat on her butt with an oof!

This had to be the greatest discovery in the history of the world! Skoll’s tongue lolled in a happy grin as he stared at the great cracked hull of the pirate ship, trying to imagine just how many wolves tall it was. How long had it been here, he wondered? And where had its crew gone in that time? It was maybe a little too good-looking to be from the time of the humans, with the constant tide pouring into the cave. But none of it really mattered; he had found the greatest treasure in the Kingdom, and he was going to explore!

A voice echoed suddenly through the grotto, and the wolfdog jumped at the sound. He swung around, hackles rising, and half expected to see a pirate ghost rushing at him—but they wouldn’t have emitted such a lost-sounding “hello,” or a squeak. They would have gone ARRR and slashed his fluffy tail off with a scimitar.

Grinning despite his surprise, he quickly trotted in the direction of the sound and heard the rest of the question—followed by an oofff as someone fell. His grin died down a bit as the lupus-formed male rushed toward the pale shape. Gallant as ever, he quickly extended his head so she could use his neck and shoulders for some leverage in standing; he might have pulled her to her feet himself if he was in optime. His tail wagged as he recognized her scent and the almost rainbow hair.

“Miss Orin!” Skoll exclaimed. He’d heard that she was part of the Court, and he’d talked to her brother Niro, but the boy had yet to truly reacquaint himself with the woman from Cercatori d’Arte. He stood back and looked her over, his tail still wagging away over his back. “How are you? How are your puppies? Look at what I found!”

In the span of a moment, his tumbling words redirected from her to the great pirate ship in the back of the dark grotto. He whirled around, splashing through the water and across the moss sure-footedly, heading up almost right against the ship. He was suddenly a little puppy again, a few months old, babbling excitedly at something he’d never seen before—but this! This was like from a storybook!

ooc... 400+

Only moments after her little spill did the blond son of Vigilante come trotting over to her, tail wagging and countenance afire with the excitement of his discovery. She grinned when she saw him, his excitement infecting her from the start even though she didn’t know what they were so excited about yet, and even though she still sat among the rocks with her butt getting soaked in a little puddle of mossy water. “Prince Skoll,” she returned, just as happy to see him as he was her.

He was offering help and Orin was glad to have it. She wrapped an arm around his shoulders and, with his assistance, got herself back to her feet. Though not three seconds passed before one slid out from under her again. This time she was able to catch herself on Skoll, though, and didn’t go down. Having four legs would be much, much easier than two right about now. Luckily, she was stable by the time the golden prince took off – which was very soon.

“I’m good, and they’re doing great,” she chimed after him, even as he took off. She was a very fast paced talker herself, and was notorious for jumping topics. She barely even noticed the rapid shift in the youth’s attention, and followed it easy enough herself.

She pussy-footed it across the rocks until she was on more stable, less slick ground, and then she jogged off after Skoll, her eyes turning to the pirate ship now that she didn’t have to stare at where she was walking. It was a great, beautiful beast wrecked there within the cove. She was absolutely shocked! She had never seen anything like this except for in her imagination, or in an old weathered drawing in the story books she liked to read.

“Skoll, you’re a genius!” she gasped, as though he was the one who put it there. Her own pink dyed tail wagged unevenly behind her as she ran on two legs toward the ship. She ran right up to it and pressed her hands on the side of the old wood as she turned and grinned at the prince. In this moment he looked oh so much like when he was a pup, excited and exuberant. It was like the pirate ship had a spell on it, for Orin, too, did not seem a bit like all of her three years as her ears flicked excitedly, and her eyes stared in wonder. “Have you been inside it yet? Is there treasure?!”

Nuki posts make me laugh! <3 And I'm sorry for the wait. :c

The woman had managed to stand with his help, and some of him recognized the answer to his questions as he went dashing away toward the big treasure. He would have been glad to ask more about his newest—well, whatever they were; he was related to them in some weird way through his half-sister and Niro’s mateship—had they been out in a boring field chatting about the weather and all that good old stuff. He truly did look forward to meeting the puppies of both Takekuro children, and showing them the ropes of the Kingdom, and maybe strutting his stuff a little so that they’d know he was the prince, because sometimes he think Lottie especially forgot.

But, let us reiterate for those who weren’t on the same train of thought, none of that especially mattered right now because pirate ship.

Orin jogged after him, and her exclamation set his tail to wagging a mile a minute. He beamed over his shoulder at her then back at the great wrecked hull, nearly quivering. He pranced after her as she came right up against the thing and touched it, and he pressed his nose against the wood and breathed in and rubbed his cheek against it like a cat. Her questions made him blink and spin quickly around.

“No, I haven’t!” Skoll barked, and peered at the great thing in his territory. He sounded almost alarmed as he looked back at her. “We gotta find out! How do we get inside?” There wasn’t a door on this thing like a house—but there was a pretty big, gaping crack in the hull. He narrowed his eyes and darted in that direction, his tail held out behind him like a wolf’s as he splashed his way to the shadows of the boat.
