Over the past few days he'd gotten terribly worried. He'd tried visiting Gemma's hut within the tribe, yet he got no answer. This wasn't all that concerning at first; perhaps she'd taken the pups on a trip and forgotten to tell him, or perhaps she just didn't want to see him for a while, wanted some space...that was fine, too. Only, he'd wished she'd said something. He would have been able to sort out any problems personally, instead of being blanked like a child.

And then after a couple days, it was clear Gemma was gone, with no trace. She'd left the door open so he rudely trespassed in her house, and could not see her nor the pups. He got really worried by this point; surely she wouldn't take herself and the children away for absoloutely no reason? Sure enough, when he scanned the borders of AniWaya he picked up her scent, so he packed a bag and filled his horse's saddlebags with tinder and food and clothes, and galloped off after the scent trail his friend had left behind.

24 hours of hard riding and both he and Strider were exausted. They'd fallen back on themselves numerous times and ended up tracking the wrong wolf about twice as many times, but finally he was confident they were somewhere near where Gemma and the pups were... the only thing was, he didn't really know what to expect. Would they be injured, hurt, ... dead? He didn't really want to think about it. The cloaked and hooded rogue heeled up his horse and trotted around a narrow tree until he could see a clearing up ahead, and the scents in the air told of clearly marked borders. Why had she gone to another pack? Had she deserted AniWaya? Either way, he wanted answers. He had rights as the childrens' father, and he felt betrayed as he thought he and Gemma were getting somewhere.

Dismounting swiftly, the young man cupped his fingers to his muzzle and let out a long, calling note, his tone curious and summoning but not at all hostile. It took a lot out of him though, and he ended up putting his hands on his thighs to lean down, breathless and taking in short gasps of air that didn't sound very healthy. Strider was the same, the white stallion lathered in sweat as he gasped in the warm air.

He heard the call as he'd finished checking on his sister. He had her and her pups in a spare room. His niece and nephew didn't want to be separated from their mother, and he needed her where he could keep an eye on her. He howled back sharply, letting the caller know someone would be there momentarily.

He left Myrddin with Gemma and walked briskly to the borders. He was in an ill mood after being up most of the last few days. But someone needed to keep an eye on Gemma, and Myrddin, though as proud of being able to use the optime form as Tal was, was just too young for the time being. Someday Myr would be able to help all the time, but for now the young male still needed his sleep.

He arrived at the border to the scent of Aniwaya. Tal's ears drooped. He knew someone would come looking for his sister, but he'd hoped it would be after she was better. He lifted his chin, his posture perking up and assuming the dominant stature that as Skye's right hand man, he was allowed to assume.

Bi-colored eyes searched the face of the stranger. "I am Taliesin Dir Rhiannon, the Protettore of Cercatori d'Arte. How may I help you?"

sorry sorry

Jace sat with the poor mutilated woman and held her hand as she breathed weakly. Slowly there was a fury boiling up within her for the lost waif. During the last few days Jace had managed to extract Gemma's tortured past from her and now her already vicious attack seemed that much more cruel and undeserved. Jace and countless other women hadn't been the only ones Lucifer had damaged and destroyed, even his own children had suffered. There was a howl, faint and a way away that Jace ignored but Gemma stiffened at. It's Frodo. Can you get him for me? PLease Her voice was a whisper, He'll want to see the pups Jace didn't want to leave her really but found herself unable to refuse the request.

The first stop she made though was Skye's house to ask the leader's permission, which Skye readily agreed to, angered and upset by the attack that had happened almost at her borders. Jace set off at a fast jog, covering ground quickly, wanting to reach the male before any others did, it would make things easier. Fates were not with her though and she ground to a halt just as Taliesin introduced himself. She panted for a few seconds while she got her breath back and then stepped forwards to intercept the conversation before it started,

"Taliesin, this is Frodo. He's here to see Gemma and his children. I've already spoken to Skye and she's okayed his passage." She hoped that he didn't take offense at her forwardness, he was a member of the council and she was only a lowly Soldier after all.
