Word Count :: 379 Book worm ¬.¬

Deftly her hands skimmed through the delicate ivory pages, completely absorbed in the task of reading the faded black ink covering many of them, ocean eyes tracking the curves and harsh scribble of the author of the book she currently browsed through. The content was intriguing in the slightest; theories regarding right and wrong, the whole good vs evil stuff that was neither right or wrong in her opinion. No, she believed everyone possessed their own ideal 'right' and 'wrong' and many times one individuals theory on the matter clashed with another, although reading some strangers thoughts on the matter was intriguing even when she didn't agree to them.

Flicking the page over she pursed her lips, scanning the page quickly. None of the content was new to her, having read through this particular work many times already in an hour or so of boredom; nor did she discover new bits, a new angle to look at something from or anything like that which strongly indicated that there was no use in keeping the book any more. Overall it was in fairly good condition; the text was readable and the ink not too faded, the pages only slightly yellowed with the odd corner folded down. Closing the book she lightly tan her hand over the leather cover that hugged the pages, picking it up she placed it in the donate pile before reaching over and grabbing the next one in which she needed to review and make the choice whether to keep or not.

Whilst she worked she snuck looks towards the dark male as he worked, unable to repel the thought that a working man was a sight to behold. The slight stretch of muscle and the concentration upon his face made interrupting him incredibly tempting, although she managed just about to continue with her own task rather then picking up where they had just left off.

Upon the completion of going through her books she rose lazily onto her feet, raising her arms over her head she stretched her muscles out, prolonging the action more then she probably needed to but she was all for giving her dark night a show. Moving into the doorway she eyed him with a smile upon dark lips, “Hows it going?”

WC:: 715 - Aaand, done. Big Grin (PP approved)

Time had flown by as he had lost himself in the work. It hadn't taken long to get one side of the double bookshelf ready, and it had taken even less time for the other half to take shape. All he had left to do now was to nail the two sides to the central support. All the time he had been working he had been aware of the quiet sounds that came from Grace as she worked through her books; the subtle flip of turning paper, the swish of paw-pad against paper and the quiet hums that she still made as she read. These sounds and the scent of her and her house kept him happy while he worked, he still couldn't really believe that he was here, in her house, working away. He kept stealing the occasional glance at her, her dread locks falling around her face as she bowed her head to read the books she held so dear, her paws skimming softly over the pages. Golden light filtered through a window and illuminated her, gilding her fur with warm light. He paused in his actions then, forgetting about work to just gaze at her.

He realised that he had stared too long when she closed her last book and placed it down in a pile definitively, she stood and stretched, her arms raised above her head, awarding him an excellent view of her assets. His eyes widened momentarily and he shook his muzzle, turning back to the bookshelf and letting a deep sigh escape him. As she spoke he could hear the smile on her lips, unsure whether she just wanted to smile or if she had caught him staring, either way, he was glad that she was happy. Her words filtered through to him then. He turned with a smile attached to his own lips then, a glint of pride in his blue eyes, "Almost done Darling, just this last little bit to do." He said, indicating the middle support and the half nailed sides. He set about knocking the nails in quickly but effectively, he could not be accused of shoddy workmanship, he made sure of that. As he finished he stood and placed a paw against the bookshelf, giving it a good shove to test its sturdiness. He was satisfied with his creation when it didn't shift or wobble. He turned to face the Golden beauty and smiled, twirling the mallet in his hand-paw and pretending to blow dust from it, like the old human cowboys had done in books and stories. "Aaaand, done." He said, a cock-sure grin plastered on his muzzle.

He looked up into Grace's eyes, he placed the mallet on the bookshelf and moved towards her. His brown hand-paw found the side of her face, he allowed their noses to touch again, revelling in the feel of her cold nose against his. He placed a chaste kiss on her lips, ecstatic that he could do that now, his tail wagged frantically and he knew that if he stayed like this for much longer he would get carried away and he didn't think they had established their relationship quite that much yet. With a little sadness he pressed his lips to hers once more, feeling her press back against him, before he drew away. His eyes had clouded slightly, his desire for her warring with his sense of decency. He sighed and placed his other hand on the opposite side of her face, blinking to clear his vision as he gazed into her ocean blue orbs. "I should really go." He said heavily. Every fibre of his body opposing his decision, he forced a smirk, "I bet Ciaran's waiting for me." He quipped. He felt more than saw her grin, eliciting a genuine grin from him. Placing one last kiss on her lips he tore away from her, retrieving his mallet and moving to the front door, walking backwards so that he could take in as much of her as he wanted. He waved good bye and winked at her as he left, his tail wagging so fast he could feel it affecting his gait a little bit. He practically skipped back to his place, hoping that Bran was nowhere around to see him acting so 'girly.'
