occ: Two leggys! Sucky posttt, sorry. But I wanted to get something up!

Bambi had decided against going on the voyage for multiple reasons. For one, she still wasn't very good at bartering- And that was apparently a big part of trade. It felt strange having more weight on her shoulders to protect the lands. With less members around, she had to step her game up, so to speak. As far as she knew their relationships were quite good with all the other packs, but things could easily change within a split second. She rolled her shoulders, shaking off the anxiety shudders that her thoughts had caused.

It was quite warm out, but she didn't really mind. She used to spend every single day slaving around and tending to everything, so this small trip wasn't much. She had traveled just outside of CdA to collect supplies to aid in replenishing what had been taken to be traded to other packs. The trip didn't bother her- Especially since it gave her a reason to get out of her outdoor home. It wasn't that she didn't love this pack, it was.. She just felt so restrained some times. She knew she was allowed to leave at any moment, but where would she go? Sure, she had made a few friends. But what if they didn't want to see her?

The blue eyed canine focused on her given task, bending down to observe the various plants surrounding her. She recognized one right away, commonly referred to by her old slavers as Marijuana. They used to smoke it often, which none of the slaves really minded. It made them a lot more calm, and some times even got them to nap for a few minutes. It wasn't a really heavy sleep, so now one really bothered to act out while they slept.
She plucked the ditch weed with ginger fingers, placing it gently within her basket. She reached down to scratch her leg, caught off guard by the deep scars that she had not yet grown used to. She pulled her paws away quickly, now looking down at them with disgust. Bambi got back to her feet, scanning to see what other plants would catch her eye.
hope you dont mind me hoppin in!

The male was growing more concerned as the days wore on. They had been without the pack for months, and the small party was settled in the orchards near Berwick. But it did not cause the russet wolf to grown peaceful, his defenses were constantly aroused and on alert. Hunting was difficult, patrolling was impossible, and the stench of lone wolf was beginning to make him irritable.

Oak loved his mother, and did not resent her choice to live in Berwick. Yet it was her place, her comfort and her new home. Cypress was at ease as well, content to simply be with mother and no one else. Oak was not. He wanted the pack, the community and the stability that came with it. It was not so much the male wanted something different that concerned him it was the idea that he might leave his family to search out a place of his own that caused the red boy to be so uncertain.

He traveled through the familiar lands that lay south of Berwick, and north of his once home. The axe hung at his side, present as he wandered in the hopes of finding an untapped hunting ground. Senses were always kept on edge; nose and ears at the ready as tore bay eyes scanned the landscape. It was not hard to find the scent of another wolf, the further north he traveled the closer he came to two different packs. Though, he caught the scent of someone he had met before.

Instantly he headed in her direction, strides becoming longer and his thoughts less dim and dank. Bambi? He called out into the world, wondering if she was in the next dip of the uneven terrain or around the nearest glen of trees.

occ; Of course not!

Bambi turned around and scooped up her basket, all in one swift motion. Her senses had told her that Oak was approaching long before his voice called out to her, but she payed no attention until he spoke. She took a step back and cocked her head to the left, holding the basket against her chest. After a few minutes she placed the basket on the ground next to her, jogging over to the man and nuzzling against his neck. She wrapped her arms around his neck, surprised at how good it felt to hold someone. She had went far to long without actual bodily contact.. Of course she occasionally had conversations with others within CdA, but this was different. She didn't get to hug them, or even really brush shoulders with anyone. If she was being invasive, she didn't really seem to notice. Her stub of a tail wiggled as she inhaled his scent, comforted by the familiar smell. Some thing about the odor he gave off was slightly different then the first time around it had been picked up by her sensitive black nose, but she ignored it for now.

"I did not think I would see you again," Said the female, lowering her eyes to hide the hint of sadness within them. She had thought about visiting him multiple times.. But she feared that he had only extended his invitation for her to visit him out of kindness. "thought you wouldn't want to see me." She said, shrugging as though she wouldn't care either way. Of course her posture demonstrated her hurt at the idea, but it only took a short amount of time for her to shrug it off. When she brought her eyes back up to meet the tore bay eyes of the coywolf, any trace of emotional pain was gone.

The dog took a small step back, shyly turning her face away for a second. "How are you?" She asked, now slightly bringing up the change in his smell. "No more pack?" Bambi lowered herself down to the ground, now covering her scarred legs. She settled in, hoping that he would be able to stay a while- After all, she had enjoyed his company the first time they met. Hopefully he felt the same.."

Big Grin

The once-Dreaming male rounded a large tree, and there was the merle woman. She came to him unexpectedly, her nose touching his neck and her arms wrapping around him. She smaller form rested against him as she hugged him close and once the surprise was surmounted he brought a hand around her as well and gave a squeeze. The other touched the axe to make sure that it would not accidentally hurt her.

Her voice came to his ears and at first he smiled, for they indeed had reunited. But then when she followed it with another though his brow furrowed and his lips frowned slightly. Why would you think that? his tone was not angered, but simply curious and he then smiled when her eyes rose to meet his. She backed away a few paces, and Oak kept his smile, though there was little understanding to the greeting. His mind and body attempted to untangle the questions of excitement and then insecurity showed him.

I am well. He replied, though it was only half true. He then nodded when she spoke of the pack, features becoming more sullen. Crimson Dreams disbanded, I live in Berwick now. Not far from your pack, actually. She still smelled greatly of the d’Arte and it seemed obvious that she was still part of them. Oak followed her motions, first unleashing the axe to lay beside him and then sitting beside her.

How are you? he asked as fingers picked at the grass planted next to him.

occ: sorry this took so long! Been REALLLY busy. I'll be much better!

Bambi crawled back over to her basket, grabbing it then bringing it back over to where she had previously been sitting. "Not easy to like.. Am strange." she said, answering his question about why she would think he disliked her. The tone of his voice revealed that he was not angry, but his furrowed brow made her think otherwise. She tensed a bit, flattening her already folded ears back against her head. She was probably more sensitive to body posture and language then most, since that's what she had really been using to communicate with most up until recently. She looked him over again before relaxing, ensuring that she had just misunderstood his facial expression.

You say this, but your eyes say otherwise." She said softly, touching his knee with her paw. She would not force him to go further into this.. After all, they had only met once before this. But she looked at him with a warm expression, attempting to signal without further using her words that he could speak to her about it if he wished.

The girl's expression twisted as she thought of her own pack disbanding. It made her feel safe to know that she was part of this group of wolves, and made her feel as though she was less likely to be dragged back to camp some day soon. She nodded understandingly as he spoke of the area in which he was now living, but her face did not show any trace of recognition towards the place "Berwick'. There was a moment of hesitation before she answered the last question that he had asked.. She wasn't sure how to respond, so she just went with the truth. "Nana died.. I made a mistake. She would not be pleased.. " Bambi's eyes trailed back down to her thighs, and she traced over the deep scars with her fingers. Before she could hold her tongue, she admitted a small whine. "I am.. Lonely." She said these things matter-of-fact. It was the brutal truth that she was speaking, after all.

im slow too.

Oak watched the collie woman, finding her interesting and curious. From her movements to the way she spoke to the way she searched his form in the hopes of reading him. But he did not find her strange or unlikeable at the least. Oak had grown up knowing that not everyone was always the same. I think your easy to like. He confirmed, not one to cast aside her feelings but simply expressing his own.

It was true, his was trying to be strong but Oak was very unsure about the future. He did not know what to do with himself on most days, where before he knew what needed to be done in his ranking and made sure it was completed. Now, everything was different and unstable. It hasn’t been easy. he confessed with a sigh, but he looked at Bambi without a frown. He didn’t want to be weak and express his true feelings, not when the girl seemed to absorb the feelings around her.

He watched and listened as she responded to his question. It was then that he frowned in sadness. Nana was the cat she had with her the last time he had seen her in the d’Arte pack lands. She was lonely, and that something that Oak could understand. I’m sorry about Nana. he spoke with a tone that told her of his sadness. He placed a hand on her shoulder in the hopes of consoling her. He thoughts of the mistake she had made, I’m sure she would forgive you. Good friends and family always forgave one another.
