(355) Back-dated for July 1. What's this, an Infernian bringing some goodies for the Court as well? Big Grin Again, anyone free to answer her call, so jump right on in!

It was odd, to travel about outside of Inferni without the fear of being attacked by a stranger. She still held the paranoia, yes--she looked back every now and then behind her to see if she was being followed, and took measures to conceal herself at times--but yet she lacked the fright of the possibility of it happening. It was as if she felt the wind, but not the chill that accompanied it, just the knowledge that it was there. It was strange, indeed, but it a good way; she was finally getting over what had happened months ago and was accepting the truth that she was at risk every time she walked out of the clan's borders.

But, she did not focus long on such thoughts, and instead looked forward to what was ahead. Having left her home the morning before, she had been walking southward once more, though at an angle that was away from the Artisans that she had once visited. She was asked, as it was per her duty, to deliver a few packages, for a better word gifts, by Myrika. She gladly accepted the duty, and decided to start off with the packs in the south, knowing she would spend more time there than in the north, and thought she may as well as get them out of the way.

She heard very little about the court, so she looked forward to meeting a few of their members, to see what kind of place that it was. She was still in the thickets of the trees when the pack scent suddenly came to her, and she stopped abruptly, happy to take a pause in her relentless walk. She put down one of the bags she was carrying with her, though kept its twin clutched in her grip.

Without a moment's pause, she howled out into the trees, her voice bouncing off of the leaves and into the claimed land. Yips chased after it, and after the echo died down once more, the coywolf stood in silence until the chirps of the birds returned to instill the natural sounds of woods.

Word Count → xxx :: Bold italics are Charlotte, his 10 month old daughter~

The pair walked in silence together, the daughter tall on two legs and the father beside her in a hulking secui form. Charlotte had known for some time now that there was something bothering her father, but as he did not talk about it even with her mother, she knew she could not ask herself. She could not help but wonder if it might have to do with Liam leaving the Court, but again, she would not bring it up. If he had any desire to talk about it, she knew that he would.

"Daddy, can we go see who that is?" she asked, though they were already heading in the direction of the call. Vigilante nodded his agreement and the pair moved in the direction of the foreign song, the voice different than that of a wolf. The King's initial thought, which later proved to be correct, was of the coyote clan to the north. That was the only pack in the area that was filled with mostly coyotes, and so he thought it likely that a coyote in the area might have traveled from there, or at least passed by it.

It was not anyone that the King or his daughter recognized, but he smiled led in a half-heartedly warm way. Lottie, however, was thrilled to have a visitor. "Hello! I'm Lottie, and this is my daddy, King Vigilante." Her voice was proud and enthusiastic. "Welcome to the Court!"

(218) Big Grin Eee, I get to thread with a Meg! And sorry for the short reply... xD;

Her fingers gripped the bag tightly, feeling a sudden wave of timidity. What if these dogs and wolves did not like coyotes, and the one who answers her call would chase her off without a chance to speak? Myrika nor anyone else did not tell her that the Court held those sort of believes, but this did not take into account of individual members. But, she made herself calm, and told herself silently that something like that would not happen. She came here obviously as a kind emissary, with packages of care to show Inferni's good wishes.

She scented dogs approaching her, one smelling of high hierarchy and obviously the leader, while the other, the girl, seemed to be a more lower ranking member. She straightened herself to attention as the figures appeared out of the woods and smiled kindly back to the king and his daughter, though she held her respectful position. Sparrow perked her ears at Charlotte as she spoke for them, and her lips spread even further at her energetic tone.

She gave a sort of half bow, and when she rose back to her full height, she answered, "Thank you, miss Lottie, King Vigilante. I am Sparrow, and I have come from Inferni to bring Cour des Miracles gifts, courtesy of our new Aquila."

The Court and the coyote clan had always been on decent terms, though the recent occurrences of vandalism on their borders had been brought to his attention briefly. It was something he would eventually need to address, but for now he was unconcerned about his pack members doing things of such nature. Otherwise, in the past they had been something akin to allies to the coyotes, though never specifically so and never officially or long term.

Dark brows raised minutely. "What has happened to Ezekiel?" The dog King had not had much interaction with the golden son of the coydog Gabriel that he had known a bit more, but he was curious about the circumstances under which there was a new Aquila. Charlotte turned questioning eyes to her father, unsure of what to make of the stranger's words due to her lack of knowledge of the coyote clan. "What did you bring?" she finally asked, her own curiousity getting the better of her as she eagerly looked at the packages.

Sparrow had not known much about the relations of the southern packs, but if they were unstable, she was certain that they would not have asked her to send the packages to them, nor was she told about past infractions made by either party. If anything, the woman was hoping to help build better connections between Inferni and the rest of the packs, and was unaware of anything terrible occurring, or believed that it was water under the bridge. In any case, she found the king and his daughter to be friendly, and was not concerned that their meeting would go wrong.

"He left Inferni," she answered simply, "He did not announce his leave publicly, so I do not know his reasons. All my clan knows is that he left the leadership to Myrika Tears, one of his distant relatives." There was speculation, of course, but there was no definite answer. The mottled coywolf herself held no assumptions, for she did not know the man all too well. In whatever case, though, she was pleased that the clan was left in the capable hands of the redhead.

She smiled at the girl as her curiosity finally spoke for itself, and handed the bag towards Charlotte so that she may take a look for herself if she wanted. "Its mostly jewelry, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rosaries, and horse gear, all in good condition," she explained verbally, hoping that they would like what she was giving. She had faintly smelled horses, so she hoped that the tack and other things would be of use for them. As for the various baubles, they could always trade it away if they did not want to keep for themselves.

Word Count → xxx :: Sorry about the delay, I had to take some time off, trying to get back now~

There was prejudice towards the clan, the dog King knew, but he and his pack held no ill will towards their race, and generally, the clan itself. In fact, though less often was it seen here, dogs were the lowest of the species in some areas. Vigilante made a mental note to ask Charlotte if she would be interested in going to meet the new Aquila with him, because he had to admit that he was curious in a twisted way. Deep down, he felt jealous of Ezekiel, and Gabriel before him.

He could see in his daughter's eyes the excitement at the potential gifts, and he knew that anything there was going to be raided before it got to the rest of the pack. And just as he knew that she would do that, he knew that he would allow her to. No matter her age, she was his princess and he would let her do anything she wanted. Skoll had gone off on an adventure with Terra and Hati was planning to do the same, but Vigilante did not want Charlotte to do that. He needed to be there to protect her.

"Thank you! Maybe I can use some of the horse gear, if I ever get a horse," Lottie said, sending her father a sly glance. She wanted a horse very badly, one of her very own. Vigilante smiled at the coyote, saying, "Yes, thank you very much. We appreciate the clan's kind favor."
