The past few days had been somewhat difficult. Her pups were supposed to be born last week yet they stayed inside her rather large belly. She was starting to worry something was wrong, which was very likely since there was almost always complications with pregnancies and birth in her family. Hopefully her pups would be all right and would come into the world soon, but they showed no sign of coming any time soon.

Walking was becoming difficult. Lately she would just spend a good chunk of her time in the room her and Hadley had claimed, just laying on their bed. Isa had no idea what was wrong and could only hope it was nothing serious.

It was such a beautiful day out though. She couldn’t keep herself cooped up in her room all day. Perhaps some walking would help move the pups along too. She walked, more like waddled, out of the Fort and saw Brynn, her massive draft horse, grazing not too far away. Isa gave him a small whistle and he quickly came trotting up to her. She had grown quite fond of the large stallion. He had such a sweet temperament and was always obedient, at least when it came to Isa. She put an arm around his massive neck and put some of her weight on him as they walked, making it easier for her to move. It felt nice to get some fresh air. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, allowing the sun to beat down and warm her pelt.

She wasn’t sure what Hadley was up to but it didn’t really matter either. He had been staying in the room, taking care of her for the past few weeks, he deserved a bit of a break. They continued walking until she started getting tired and then she sat down slowly as Brynn laid down behind her, allowing her to lean back against him. She would just have to relax for a little while. Maybe she would come across someone to talk to and perhaps they could help her back later since it was getting difficult to walk.

Hadley didn't know anything about pregnancy. He did know that Isa was uncomfortable though, and had spent a lot of time searching for herbs to ease her aches. Mint had become abundant in the room, with the house on the edge of the pack overflowing with different snacks for her and items to give her the utmost comfort she could desire. It was all he could do, and he knew that still Isa ached. It bothered him to no end, knowing that he was the reason she was like this. If only he'd had better control! Been a better person!

Following the scent along Hadley sighed deeply, finding her curled up with Brynn. Quietly he sat down, looking over at her. She was so delicate looking, as if she was about to fall apart at a single touch. Hey Isa. Feeling any better? It would be good to get her inside, but right now it was okay to just sit here and rest. Hadley could carry her if she needed it to where she needed to go. He'd do anything for her.
