Never going home

Set directly after Deuce thread. I kind of assume Deuce has bandaged him and cleaned him up a bit >_> It is kinda set after Inferni fight and all blah blah!

Now when he already was here, why not.. Iskata had saved him, after all, and he was quite sure he owed her his life. Of course, it never hurt to nurse friendships with the new packs when the other existing ones had turned their backs and closed their eyes and ears. All of them died alone, true enough, but while they still lived and breathed on the same eerie surface of this wicked world, some should stay together. It was not in his nature to think in these ways, but he was not okay, he was far from okay. Yet, nothing in his posture told of the chaos. Only the bandages told of what had happened, and he knew his aunt would ask. He did not want anymore, and the child within was already weeping heavily because of the great misery that was burying it. It was too much now. Several beings had been pared for so long, but now the puddle had evolved into a far too great ocean that was destined to bury everything. There was no escape from heart ache. He had just not known because he had never known what it was.

Even though his nostrils were partly blocked by dried nose bleed, he had caught the scent of family and followed it slowly, injuries as fresh as ever under the bandages. He trusted they would walk into each other. Just keep walking, always walking.

Iskata had heard the voice calling from the borders for their Shaman, she had known who it was but had ignored the cries. Iskata knew that Deuce would nurse the sick and wounded no matter what damage they'd done to the rest of the world. Iskata had every right to be furious with Conri, but there was nothing between Haku and her to cause her to come running, though she was curious as to why he hadn't returned to his own packlands, she'd thought Firefly had mentioned that they held a healer in their ranks. The silver and gold lady shook her head and tried to push the thoughts from her mind as she sat on the old porch swing just listening to the ocean waves crash on the distant shore.

She'd been there quite some time, quietly thinking of the changes to the pack, to her friends and family. She hadn't gone looking for anyonce since she'd learned of what had happened to Naniko, and on the edge of their lands a distant memory had come crawling back, yet the mother didn't even seek out the source of the lost wayward son. She knew he'd return if he wished to, though she doubted that he would, atleast, not anytime soon. There was no reason for him to return to her, he'd be better off with Firefly or Naniko, they'd always been closer.. but she knew if he returned here it wouldn't be for her, but Magdalena. Her daughter had been quiet and reserved lately, hardly ever appearing and always out by the sea. She didn't know what to think of the distance the creamy hued girl was giving the whole of the pack but she let her be. Always with the babes she let them be.

Her mind was off in some strange world when the scent caught at her nose again, jolting her from her thoughts as she lifted her head, catching a flash of chocolate fur along the red dirt road that crawled through their lands. It wasn't really much of a road, the grass had long begun to overtake it, but still it was there and the pack used the path to get here and there. She stood up and examined the male that was walking towards her, the wounds that were bandaged were obviously the work of Deuce, she knew thatmuch already, but where they came from and why he was still here she had no answers to.

Leaving the safety of her porch she walked down the stone pathway to the gate and stood leaning on the fence as she called out to the leader of Dahlia de Mai. "Haku.." She really didn't know what to say, she didn't know if she really wanted to say anything at all.. she just stood there and watched, waiting like always.
