It was in the day following the little incident between Jaden and X'yrin that X'ies had entered a little state of his own. Though he as never what one could call the most sociable of people in the pack he was particularly alone in this period of time between then and the leaving for the trip. He had decided that he needed to think about things and whilst this mostly involved going over situations in his mind, for some reason there were no voices or words to the images. Normally the inner voice, the one that saw past the lies of peoples faces had its own input to his thoughts, and it often did not heed or care for the feelings of others. But in this instance, there was no voice. There was only silence, only instinct as the Lambda went about his daily tasks. Before he left he would have to complete what X'yrin had laid out as the expectations of all pack members within Sangilak. For that reason, he now left to go on his daily run.

The first expectation, that each member of the pack had to train in order to keep their bodies within the required shape. Not to become lazy or fat, to become stronger and more able to protect the pack. X'ies had never been much of a fighter and whilst he aspired to one day learn the basic principles of what his female counter part specialized in, he himself considered training to be something more of a mental activity. But still, to hold to the expectations he had taken to going out running to increase his levels of stamina, whilst at the same time checking the borders of the pack. And so his run would begin, moving along the lake. In the early days, he had less stamina than he had now. Before he would oft have to slow his pace to catch his breath, now he found only the temptation to do so. A temptation that he could resist, that in itself helped with his own brand of training. Resisting that which seemed to delicate and tempting. A form of mental discipline that would help with his own tasks in days to come.

Yet was where his task going to be? He had to go out into the world with Jaden and find other packs, establish the ways of his own and set up trade routes, establish relationships that would set the course of the future. Those who agreed and those who disagreed. This brought X'ies to wonder X'yrin and Jaden were not solely of this land, they had merely claimed it. So in knowing this that meant that the two of them surely had dealings with packs prior to this. If this was to be the case why would X'ies automatically assume that all of these dealings were good, or indeed friendly. It was something that he would have to bring up with the black furred male. If they were going to be visiting packs then he was going to have to find out the ones in which Jaden, or indeed X'yrin did not wish to have friendly dealings with. And then all of a sudden from out of nowhere that inner voice perked in.

And make sure that we stroke those relationships...one never knows when an enemy to either could prove a useful ally"

Did not take long after that for his run to finish itself. Once this was done, he moved towards the forests to begin hunting. Food would be required for the journey.[COMPLETE]
