Fatherhood Maybe

Maybe he should go see these pups. After all, they were related to Alaki. He'd have to deal with them sooner or later. On the whole, Alex was adjusting to the pack that a bunch of puppies had just been added to his life extremely well. He hadn't thrown a screaming tantrum, only sulked for a few days, and he hadn't gotten dead drunk. He was being extremely mature about the situation.

Congratulating himself on his excellent success at treating the situation with proper care and maturity the zephon was riding a high as he moved through the caves to where Ayasha was. She was taking care of the pups right now, alongside her own brood. He could chat to her while looking at the pups. Meant he wouldn't have to directly handle them as well. Reaching the cave he poked his head in. Ayasha?

Ayasha was starting to get concerned about how long it was taking for Liam to get back from Catalyst in Michigan. She had looked at a map and knew that although it was a bit away from Souls, it shouldn't take him a long journey. He had been gone for over a month and missed a lot of their pups' development. He also had yet to meet her adoptive children. Her mind automatically went to the worst possible scenario of him being dead. After all, how would she know he was dead? But she shook her head gently and forced herself to think positive about his fate. Maybe it was just taking him awhile to do what he wanted.

Besides looking after her pups and Alaki's and the baby owl, she had been doing a lot of carving. All the pups tended to be fairly well behaved and she watched them play together. Who knows how long they would be friends? But her thoughts were cut short by the sound of Alaki's mate's voice. She wondered how he would react to the pups that were his mate's. "Come on in, Alex." She didn't know the man terribly well but was friendly towards him nonetheless.

The white wolf's voice was warm, inviting him to enter. The normally rambunctious wolf slipped in, looking around the den. It was a good set up, if not as elaborate as the room he shared with the Angelo. Smiling he moved over to her side and looked over to the bundle of wrestling pups. It looked like they were all enjoying themselves. Not that he could tell any of them apart, or even guess which ones belonged to Alaki.

Sitting down he looked over, smiling. Good to see you. Ah...which ones are Alaki's? He felt a bit stupid asking. They were his mate's pups after all. Alex didn't want much to do with them however, and he was more focused on figuring out what he was supposed to do than actually making a connection to them on any sort of level. How could he have affection for his competition after all? He looked over the pups, trying to separate them and figure out how many there actually were there. They moved so quickly! Just when he'd think he got close, one would pop out from beneath another, or it would turn out that the leg the pup had been chewing on was it's own.
