The meeting with Inferni had gone much better than expected. It turned out Vesper was quite interested in keeping up relations with Sangi’lak once she heard X’yrin ruled it by his side. The Issor was a teacher to her. That her name would have a positive effect on their relations between these packs hadn’t crossed his mind. Jaden’s dark lips curled into a smile of pride in her as he approached Casa de Cavalieri. It made sense that his kindhearted fellow ruler would have good name with others. She was the type. It wasn’t a surprise to find thoughts of longing for her in his mind. They were becoming more and more frequent the longer he stayed away from home even with their fractured relationship.

He would mention her in his introduction to Casa’s leadership just for the sake of it this time around. The more places the two nomads visited the more their strategy seemed to be developing. They would need more good luck with this pack though. Like Inferni and one of the soon to be visited southern packs, Casa knew of Jaden. He’d fought a few of them in defense of Amy. Given how evil she was supposed to be, there was surely a good reason the pack had chosen to attack the woman. Jaden had also somewhat shamefully admitted this to X’ies. He needed to know why they might be chased away.

Also like the meeting with Inferni, Jaden chose to wear his Optime form for defense. He took a breath and stood on the border before calling for an audience. His howl rang long and neutral in the air.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.

Here, have a paranoid Neela wondering what’s going on. :3 Optime form, with her usual overloaded belt and two pairs of knives..

There were enemies everywhere. Or at least, this was what the pregnant collie’s hormone driven paranoia assured her. Born from hormones and fear of the pups growing inside her Neea’s paranoia had her jumping at shadows, convinced that danger could be anywhere, just waiting to attack her and kill her pups before they had a chance to be born. This mood typically expressed itself as a compulsive desire to roam the borders and make sure nobody trespassed on Casa lands and an odd attitude towards her fellow Cavaliers – being around other people left her a bit grumpy but she also stuck around them as much as possible, feeling safer when not alone.

Still despite all her work to calm her mind Neela was still worried. The collie had plenty on her mind, how the hell she was going to approach the topic of her being pregnant to Tony featuring chiefly on this list, and it had left her in a bad mood, trying to predict how her younger mate would react to this. The state of her body was another concern, already her pregnancy was visible and affecting her movements, her swollen stomach tugging when she stretched and slowing her down. It seemed rather counterproductive to Neela, her body making it harder to move and fight during the one time when she really couldn’t afford to take any wounds or bumps.

Suddenly Neela’s musings blanked out as an unfamiliar scent met her nose, wafting over from the border. Indecision filled her mind – should she go see what it was, should she hide, should she run like hell and get some help – when a howl came up from what seemed to be the source of the scent, causing her to relax slightly; a true attacked probably wouldn’t howl to announce themselves.

Being that she was already on the border and fairly close Neela arrived at the site of the howl fairly soon after it had been called, approaching quietly through the undergrowth and peering suspiciously at the male who had made the call before she revealed her presence. She wasn’t happy with what she saw; he was massive! Nearly as tall as Tony, with muscles to match his height and a bow on his back. Common sense would have told Neela to slink back into the shadows and wait for somebody else to handle this but her pride refused to cower away from a stranger standing at the edge of her home.

Neela stepped out of the bushes, purposely making her exit noisy to announce her presence, head craning upwards along with her ears and tail as her eyes met the strangers. The paranoid part of her mind wanted to be aggressive, to drive away this male for no reason other than being a stranger but she clamped down on that impulse; unwarranted aggression to a visitor wasn’t acceptable.

Neela’s voice was stiff and formal when she spoke, lacking the usual warmth and Spanish undertones she often spoke with, ”You approach Casa di Cavalieri lands Stranger.” she stated, neither rejecting nor inviting, just questioning. Neela’s hands rested down by her sides, not in a threatening position but still where she could reach the foot long knives mounted at the small of her back in an instant if need be.

Current Objective: Diplomacy, sort of ---
Form: Lupus----
Mood: Dry-

Not sure what it was about today, but X'ies was getting tired. For all that he'd seen of the outside world and the other packs he had come to this one startling conclusion. No one on this gods green earth saw the world through his eyes, or shared much of his beliefs. And well this meeting was no different, Jaden had taken to going back into his Optime form, a form that whilst was more practical for the use of tools, X'ies found inferior. Simply put, he considered the form they were born with to be the form they were supposed to take, shifting held its uses when and if it was required. But living like this was outside of the Nomadic pattern of behavior and thus seemed strange to him.

Today he wondered just what sort of pack representative would meet them this time, the past few times they had been lucky to encounter some leading members, other times it had been...well...colourful to say the least. This time, it would appear that the one greeting them was a pregnant female...oh...this just had to be the best one of all. She informed them of information that was already quite obvious, and X'ies would respond thusly, lazy eyes looking over her form. "...You are merely pointing out information we already know....if we were unaware of such my friend here wouldn't have let out a call....however..its interesting to know that your pack has its pregnant females patrol the borders....this either indicates to me a lack of man power...or a lack of male power..either one....good to know" . X'ies had already made it quite clear to Jaden that his primary purpose in these meetings was to access the threat level, and tactical value of other packs.

Currently if this female was any example to go by, this pack wasn't particularly big on personal control. Among the nomads, pregnant females were cherished commodities, kept protected at all times. If this one was allowed to wander in such a way, to X'ies it referred two points. Number one, the discourse of thought. The point that the female would even consider this an option, meant that the pack had no restraints on what its females did, or did not do in this condition. X'ies found it hard to believe with the visible show of her pregnancy that the pack was unaware of it, therefore a lack of stable control was his first point. Second was that the female was currently carrying weapons, this in itself seemed foolish. Whilst yes, protection for ones self and ones children came first X'ies knew that this protection could not be a stand alone affair. In fact, her having weapons probably did her more harm than good, the presence of weapons escalated situations, what might only be a rigorous beating from strangers could easily turn deadly the moment a weapon was brought into play.

...plus it couldn't be too comfortable to wear considering her condition

In part X'ies thought this singular meeting provided him with quite a bit of information he could use, although half of it were based upon assumptions, and those couldn't be relied upon...even if they were accurate 9 times out of ten. " Jaden, if you would. Let out another call...I would ask the female to run and get one of their leaders, but I fear waddling with knives is normally a risky affair..". Ah, his poison tongue. It was so good to let it loose once again, a smirk crossed his muzzle as he identified with it...so good.

Tony was irritable as a default today. The lack of use of his left arm paired with the fact shifting to his 'travelling' form only made things worse. Granted he still had Neela, and his puppies. Although at the moment he guessed they looked like blobs or whatever. He only hoped with his astonishing good looks (self appraisal for the win) that they'd turn out good in the end. He moved slowly through the forested area, Neela having left for a stranger's call a few minutes before him. He often fathomed how they were going to cope, with a house that still had maintenance work to do. But for now he didn't worry, that was for late nights full of insomnia.

He was fortunate enough to catch the arse end of the strangers words, scowl crossing his lips and he stalked forward, his sword on his back. Approaching behind Neela, he spoke with the natural charisma he'd been born with. The words of a warrior and a prince. Resting a hand on his mates shoulder he eyed the stranger with a gaze of stone. 'I' jus' so happens, tha' we got plenty 'a manpower, an' male power. But we also got ladies as loyal enough as t' patrol like this, an' as strong as this as t' cope. Y' really think ah'd let 'er out if ah didn' think she could handle 'erself?' he question, though there was no irritation in his words. 'An' if y' insist on introducin' y'self so rudely, y' can turn around and go. We ain't interested in makin' no trouble. An' we in't interested in bein' insulted' he finished with a hard stare.

The howl from the boarders was unrecognizable but it caused a the Alpha to turn towards it in earnest regardless. He had been making rounds along the boarders leisurely, deciding that if Neela was going to be out and about pregnant than he sure as hell would stick near by incase she called. Certain she would head for the howl, as any stubborn warrior female would, he allowed his two legs to move quickly in a jog. If the stranger belonging to the call had meant to be a threat he certainly wouldn’t have called but Jazper did not trust anyone to be around a pregnant female of his pack, particularly one who was bearing the offspring of his bloodline. As he moved closer the scent became recognizable, mixing with the scents of Neela and Tony.

His lip curled up and his ears twitched in agitation as the gathering came into view, his golden eyes instantly recognizing Tony’s own annoyance at the strangers, the father just picking up the mention of an insult. With Jaden’s presence being confirmed Jazper’s large hand reached up to pull his large claymore sword from it’s sheath as he took the other side of Neela. Unlike Tony the Sole put himself in front of the red and white mix with a scowl clear on his face.

Although Tony was struggling with the lack of feeling in his arm, and Neela was pregnant, Jazper was certain that the Knight’s could scare off these two large men. Both of the Knight men were taller than the men on their boarders and were trained fighters and although he didn’t know of the scruffy grey and white man’s abilities the warrior vividly remembered the dark man. Standing tall with his sword loose in his hand his sun kissed face turned to Jaden the scowl seemingly permanent, You. His normally friendly and light Scottish accent was now deep and thick. You dare help that slave keeper Amy fight against my pack mates, my family, and return to my boarder with an accomplice to insult us? Now fully blocking the pregnant women with eyes all ablaze he continued, Explain yourself quickly friend. The claymore was now tight in his grasp, threatening a painful attack should he decide the two were a threat.

Jaden too pondered about their meeting with Casa but only because he was worried about his words and actions ruining any chance they had to be diplomatic with this pack. So meeting with a face he didn’t recognize was a pleasing chance. Even having her seem a little bit short was workable. Likely it had to do with her showing pregnancy. His first mate had been irritable while carrying too.

The Issum parted his lips to answer her slightly gruff greeting but was unfortunately beaten to the punch by his companion. He could do little but listen in astonishment as X’ies gave the unfortunate woman one of his tongue lashings. For a male who did things and made decisions based on logic it seemed extremely counterproductive to bite at this pack with words when he already knew they would have trouble do to his leader’s past actions. Jaden sent him a disapproving glance but didn’t silence him. It was proof that their relationship was improving that the dark male chose to value his relationship with X’ies and their appearance of unity in place of defending a stranger. In truth he did agree with the Lambda’s observations but would have gone about wording it quiet differently.

Things only worsened with the appearance of another weapon toting member. A male and, judging by his words, this pregnant dog’s mate. Wonderful! Jaden hadn’t even opened his mouth yet and they were already being told to leave. Please excuse my companion, he asked sincerely with a small step forward. He raised his palms in a gesture of friendliness. It’s— Then what he was dreading happened quite suddenly.

From seemingly thin air spawned the monstrous body of Jazper. Now Jaden was a large man, but this male was simply appalling in size. The silver flash of his clamor was more than enough to get the shorter alpha’s attention as well. It was incredibly similar to the one that had given him the long scar on his chest. As a warrior, Jaden’s first fearful thoughts were of spite that he had come so utterly unarmed. At this range, there was no hope of getting a lethal shot off with his bow. He slowly took a breath. Things weren’t that bad… yet. There was still a chance to salvage this. The Issum swallowed and hoped this meeting wouldn’t turn into another scar on his body.

With very little thought Jaden took a sidestep to place himself between the claymore and his pack mate. X’ies’ words might have been aggravating but the ex-assassin would be further damned if he would let him take that sword as punishment. Jazper, he said cautiously with palms still displayed, I understand that was a terrible choice. Amy is a demon. The weapons I fought with that night were a gift from her. I have since relinquished them, He motioned to his bare hips and was suddenly grateful he had left them to X’yrin. My companion is unaware of my previous actions here, This lie like all the other words was with intention to defuse the situation. Please, we mean you no harm and come with only peaceful intentions.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.

X'ies wasn't going to lie nd say that the other mans weapon was not intimidating, but beyond that he did not share the same fear as his alpha who was putting on a rather pathetic show to say the least. " He speaks truthfully, we did have peaceful intentions in mind...and likely twas my poison tongue that sparked this little arguement...fair to say that I should probably be more accepting of other packs traditions". Stupidity. He thought to himself, all the while keeping his face blank, watching the opposing group with lazy eyes. " However...if actions commited by my companion, and my words are enough to spark violence...heres some food for thought...your sword...its very large and intimidating...but I'm going to focus on the point of it being very large...in open field combat it might be useful...here though where you have two of your own kin right next to you...and where the space isn't very affording....well chances are you will have to choose your strikes carefully else risk glancing blows to them...with your overall body size I would say you would be better discarding that weapon in this situation....next is the point that your kin ARE right next to you, one of which is quite vulnerable at this point in time...and my friend who has already soured relations with you it would seem, has a long range weapon...a few well placed arrows....well yes...we might lose our lives this day, but I'm willing to bet conflict thusy would cost your pack more members....and potiental members...than it would ours....none of us would win..Understand, this is not a threat, its an observation...".

No doubt those last words would send Jaden's crap straight down into his pants. X'ies however was keeping his eyes focused on the large male, unhindered by size or strength. His voice this time was not one of insult or seeking to elevate a tense situation. Not a threat,it was merely a logical observation of their current situation. The words of a stratigist. As it stood, both sides would lose out in a conflict. " So I suggest we all calm down, again...I apologise for any insult I may have caused..I am X'ies Lambda....".

Neela be angry :O. The moonforsaken thing is a little insult specific to Neela, basically means the same thing as godforsaken.

If he hadn’t been insulting her Neela would have admired the sheer balls of the stranger. As it admiration was the furthest thought from her mind and internally she was frothing at the bit to pull out her knife and open the smug bastard a new mouth with it. Caution and the fact that as the lone greeter so far she was representing her pack stayed her hand but nothing could prevent her baring her teeth, a low growl bubbling up from behind them. And then he made his next comment.

If not for Tony’s sudden presence and his hand on her shoulder the strangers relationship with his balls might have come to a swift and bloody end. As it was Neela made no move to advance but made her aggression clear in how her hands came to rest on her knives handles. ”You… how dare you. Pedezo la mierda!” she spluttered indignantly.

And then Jazper arrived. Unlike Tony he came into the clearing seemingly as angry as Neela already, claymore drawn and voice confrontational as he put himself in front of Neela. Neela grumbled silently at being shielded as though she was a pup but didn’t object, going against Jazper’s wishes in front of what was seeming more and more to be potential enemies would be an insult to his authority.

Even so the collie couldn’t help herself when she heard Amy’s name being mentioned. She hadn’t been aware that the bitch had kept slaves but with what she knew of the trader she wouldn’t put it past her. "Demon’s right!” she snarled, half stepping out from behind Jazper, ”That bitch damn near killed poor Kiara fer no reason, tried her best with me as well!” Normally the odd, circular symbol that Amy had carved into Neela’s stomach was hidden by her fur but Neela’s pregnancy had stretched her stomach enough that the scars were clearly visible, ugly red lines against Neela’s white fur. ”Any friend of hers is no friend of mine, sorry or not!” she growled.

And then as though he hadn’t caused enough trouble the first speaker, Neela still didn’t know his name spoke up again. The red haze that had been beginning to fill Neela’s eyes was wiped away, replaced with a cold, calculating fury. In one smooth motion barely lasting an instant she stepped out from behind Jazper - giving him some room if he did need to swing his sword - dipped two fingers into her pouch and snapped her arm forwards, burying a throwing knife to the hilt in the dirt scarcely an inch away from X’ies’ muzzle, purposely pinning a leaf to the ground in a show of accuracy. Neela’s throwing knives weren’t a skill she used as often as her close quarters fighting but with her pregnancy she had been practising more.

”Watch how you speak Mutt.” she said coldly, her voice formal but still with the undertones of an outraged hiss, ”That’s my alpha you speak to and despite your claims otherwise that was a threat, so here’s one of my own: Your friend there even tries to pull that bow of his out and he loses his eyes before Jazper and Tony even have a chance to try and get at him. Threaten my pups again and I’ll take your moonforsaken tongue.” Neela glared for a moment before taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself. ”Casa is a pack of warriors, we’re all trained in combat. You don’t scare me, you don’t scare Tony and you sure as hell don’t scare Jazper so quit the passive-aggressiveness before it ends up costing you.” with a quiet sigh she turned to Jazper, reaching out to place a hand on his sword arm.

She had no hope in hell of actually restraining him if he tried to attack them so the intent was more to try and calm him, coupled with her words, ”They’re vermin Sole,” she said, pronouncing the title with an odd lilt to her words,”Let them speak and let them leave I say. They’re not worth dirtying your sword. Unless words and threats have gained the ability to kill they are no threat.” she snorted as X’ies gave the most insincere apology she had ever heard but said nothing more, just waited and twiddled the two throwing knives she had withdrawn between her fingers.

hehe, Tony;s fall has given him so sense XD hover over for english~

Tony had barely had time to speak more when his father advanced between Neela and the strangers. Chocolate ears flickered to catch everyones speech, and as the Casa members got more annoyed by the strangers words Tony felt it nessicary to engage. 'Hey, hey! Cool it!' he said in English, before turning to his father and speaking briefly in Italian, mostly so the Sangilak members couldn't hear. Not that it mattered, 'Papà. Calmati. Ascoltateli prima, okay? Non abbiamo bisogno di una lotta'. His words were even as he advance to his father's eyeline, trying to get his father to shealth his sword. Tony never professed to being fluent in Italian, especially now when he hardly ever used it, but he could hold a conversation.

And then Neela went and spoke. Rolling his eyes, his words were stern now, a little annoyed perhaps, 'Hey! We don' need nun' 'a tha'!' It was safe to say that after his fall, Tony had gained a bit of sense. 'We all need t' calm down, eh?' he voiced out again, looking around the small crowd.

Aro just had to jump in XD

Word Count → 000

Aro had been patrolling around for the hell of it, granted it was a duty he needed to fill, but he just felt that was what he would do today, other than practicing his other combat. Aro was again not high today. He had been without his drug for a week or two now...though he really did have some, as usual, but he was without its influence. He had come to terms with his troubles of having two female pregnant, one within the borders and the other in the artist pack.

All was interrupted by a call from the borders. It was a bit of a distance away but Aro took off toward the call. His long masculine legs carrying him quickly despite his large size inherited from his father. Once he came within eyesight of the group his ears shot forward as he slowed listening to the exchange of words. First he caught his father's then the response of the other ebony man..then his companion. Aro's blood turned hot instantly and his lips lifted in a snarl. How dare he say such things. Aro came strolling up in a dominant stance before toning it down in respect to his father. He came up between the group and the male who seemed to have all his observations. His oceanic eyes harsh and turbulent. A half cocky grin on his mug, "Well...let me see what we have here. An observation expert, eh?" He ignored his younger brother's call for calm and hearing them out. Right now this damn wolf had his attentions, "First you must excuse our hormonal Neela, and second...perhaps you're mere observation is a little deceiving...though we all may carry swords...our father, and his sons, but you seem to have taken up the assumption that we don't have any skills outside of sword combat. " He then laughed, his hand resting on the hilt of his own.

Aro wasn't going to tell him about his sword. The shealthed instrument was large, but made with light durable metal that allowed the tuxedo man to be swift. He had practiced many times wanting to be fast and light on his feet. Aro aimed to deceive those in battle. Who would think a large monster as himself could be fast and precise...not many, and Sidra proved that he was faster than any would think. "We may be full of kin here, and we may carry swords but we don't fight with our emotions...we fight with our heads. You say you came with peaceful intentions but you insulted one of our members. Who does that when they seek to make peace and allies?" He backed away still keeping his large body between the group. "I would love to hear you out, sir..." He's tense blue eyes looked to the other, "But your companion here needs to go...he's a little rude, if you ask me..."

His mind reeled to the Amy topic, "As for this Amy topic, you've made your choices, and that should have no reflection on your pack...though if this is what you have to represent your pack.." His eyes looked to the other, "...then I'm sorry, but I personally wouldn't ally with your pack...they seem rude and disrespectful of other pack members..." His arms folded over his chest. He waited, curious to see if his father would indeed hear them out after Tony had prompted for their father to hear the two assholes out. Granted Aro was a bit of an ass...but at least he was charming..

OOC: NO MORE JOINERS PLEASE Smile / +500

The man he knew as Jaden surprised him with his body language, instantly giving up into a submissive stance. His palms open wide towards him and his loved ones in a gesture that held no fight in it. The calm explanation did some to cool Jazper’s temper, his blade moving to sit horizontal from the ground, it’s tip on the earth below them. Although he wasn’t pleased to see Jaden he seemed to be sincere in his words and his wish for peace. Neela’s hissing behind him did him no favors though, his insides twisting up instinctively pushing him to lash out and remove anything that agitated the pregnant female. It was Tony that finally caught his attention. The Italian words, mixed with Neela’s own bid for him to ignore Xies finally released the seemingly permanent scowl from his face. It wasn’t often that the Knight’s would slip into the Italian language, with most of them only knowing enough to hold a conversation briefly, but when his sons did the father listened more carefully.

At Aro’s entrance he turned his head, chuckling internally at his eldest boy’s words. Out of all of his sons Aro seemed to be the lucky one who had not inherited the temper of the Marino and Knight families. He held that calmness that Jazper’s own father had in difficult situations and that Jazper normally held when acting as a third party to a conflict. The words were calm and intelligent, something that the group needed. Slipping into the Italian tongue the head of the family spoke with some level of calmness, trying to mimic his son’s, Cerchiamo di ignorare il grigio e uno bianco, che non è una minaccia per noi. Forse questi due ci hanno portano le informazioni che possiamo utilizzare. O forse hanno solo ci portano stupidità.. He chuckled lightly as his yellow eyes returned to Jaden.

Lifting his sword and placing it back over his head and into the sheath he stood tall and proud of his family. Perhaps we have started off on the wrong paw. With these words his family would know that there was to be no more fighting. Attempting to not look at X’ies he decided to introduce the pack properly. As you know this is Casa di Cavalieri. These, He gestured to three wolves around him, are my sons and my daughter-in-law. I apologize for the rude welcome, we tend to not take kindly to those who appear to threaten members of the Knight family.. His golden eyes glanced over to X’ies before returning to the dark male before him expectantly. Everyone in my pack is trained to fight in all forms, with and without weapons. Neela was never in any danger, as you can now clearly see.

With three large males now standing before them it was clear to Jazper that X’ies would have to re-evaluate the situation and would certainly come to the conclusion that even if they tried the pair would not be able to touch the pregnant women. How can we be of service to you today? Surely you come here for a reason. His voice was much calmer, and his face, though not beaming with happiness, showed no signs of aggression. The Alpha was still cautious of the visitors but was willing to give Jaden a chance to redeem himself with the current odds.

Jaden held his position throughout the fury of words and reasoning still as nonthreatening as he could be. There was simply no other way for him to stand. With no close range weapons or his metal gauntlets for defense, trying to take a defensive stance against the entirety of sharpened steal facing him would be foolish. But a defensive stance didn’t mean he wasn’t agitated either. The pregnant female had a right to be upset but not to toss her blades or insults in Jaden’s direction. Her toss brought the throwing knife within inches of his body due to the Issum’s place in front of X’ies. His right ear flicked as it often did when he grew suddenly irritated but he clamped his jaw shut and kept his fangs from showing themselves.

The other members where sensible and didn’t toss misplaced aggression at the darker Nomad. But all of their opinions of him truly mattered little. The only one of them that truly needed to be pleased was the alpha Jazper. If he could be convinced Sangi’lak offered more than two members who were slightly at odds with Casa then, perhaps the other leader’s mind for the future could find value in peace. He would mention X’yrin. Maybe they knew well of her like some of the other packs did.

But that might be hard now. The longer X’ies ran his mouth and openly opposed Jaden’s, his leader’s wish for peace, the less influence or say it would seem the Issum had over his own pack. X’ies, he glanced back over his shoulder at the other male, leave. It was an order but nothing more. No anger or notes of pleading. He hoped dearly X’ies would see this as necessary and avoid saying much more to inflame the situation. Chances were slim to none that he would leave without another aggravating remark though.

Jaden took a breath and faced Jazper once more when he spoke. My name is Jaden Ohanzee, he introduced himself to the members of Casa who didn’t know his name with a nod. And indeed I have. My dearest friend X’yrin and I have founded a collective of wolves up north. We thought it in our best interest to determine our relations with the other packs and offer a chance for trade where possible. I still wish for positive relations between us regardless of the past or sharp tongue of one member, It was an honest offer, Both of our packs will be stronger for it.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.

Indeed, this had turned out better than he thought. The pregnant female reminded him somewhat of a bumblebee, buzzing around with her small stingers. All noise. Another male arrived on the scene completing the wonders of the spectacle, this one too seemed to have a mouth on him but not the brains with which to use it. He didn't recall stating that they wished to be allies, or indeed anything beyond the fact that they had peaceful intentions. That was, not to cause violence. And X'ies himself had no wishes to start that, such things were entirely down to the brutes in front. A smirk would cross his face as the leader began to speak of resolving their current conflict. Jaden meanwhile turned and spoke for him to leave, and X'ies was quite satisfied with that outcome. " As you request....I think I've gotten what I came here for ...The rest I bequeath to you..". Awhile back X'ies had told Jaden that his main point on these missions were not to make friendly with the locals, but to uncover truths. Weaknesses, strengths. Generally an idea of the pack and what could be used against them. And he had obtained precisely that.

As he walked away. his mind jogged a little to the point that four of them now stood to respond to one call. His brain working a game of averages, he would take that the average pack might have between 8 and 10 members. Using these numbers, four turning up to meet them was nearly half of the average packs total numbers. It could be that this particular pack may have had slightly more, or indeed slightly less. But still four was a substantial chunk particularly when a leader, and a pregnant female stood among the number. From this he deduced that there was a severe lack of foresight among the pack, they did not spread their guard numbers evenly, nor did they take direct caution in dealing with future members of the pack. X'ies was now under the assumption that if this indeed was a pack of warriors, strong as they were they would be vulnerable to a bait and hook tactic if it was required. Of course, further investigation would be warranted to confirm this assumption, particularly when it came to the packs actual numbers and how much of an impact such baiting would have.

On top of this he noted that the pack seemed very protective of family, how much of the almost violence had been Jaden, and how much had been his baiting he did not know. If indeed that was the atypical response to an insult, then it would be a useful tactic for instilling distraction or blindness to other things if it was needed in the future.

Honestly he hadn't expected that it would go THAT well, when he had delivered the initial insult he had expected Jaden to make a second call, or for the female to waddle off and bring back a swath of angry males. Quite the opposite however the males had arrived shortly after with no need for a secondary call, further emphasizing lack of organization and foresight. With a wide grin on his face, he made his way back to the campsite to think on matters further. [EXIT]

Though it galled her to do so Neela backed down when Jazper called for it, her throwing knives disappearing back into her pouch almost as quickly as they had appeared in her hands. She wiped clean most of the obvious signs of aggression but still glowered at the two from where she stood; bad first impression clouding her judgement or not Neela just plain didn’t like the two and would have greatly preferred that they left.

Neela was glad to see the back of X’ies. She watched him suspiciously, making sure that he had well and truly disappeared into the trees before her attention swung back to Jaden, her expression slightly less hostile but still suspicious. She didn’t like anyone who had any ties to Amy but then again, Jaden had decried her afterwards, but was that enough to make up for aiding that blonde bitch and fighting against her alpha at some point in time?

Neela’s thoughts on such were interrupted when a familiar name was mentioned, jolting her from her thoughts and causing her ears to twitch in shock. Aside from Kiara and Jace Neela hadn’t seen any of Ichika’s old members since they scattered to the winds, so to hear of X’yrin starting a pack was welcome news. ”I know X’yrin,” she offered quietly, ”A member of Ichika, leader for a short while, tried to hold everything together after Nayru left.” obviously X’yrin had failed but that wasn’t to be held against her, at that point Ichika had slid well down the path to destruction and was beyond saving, ” Not sure what I think of her choice of companion but if she’s one of the alpha’s of this pack, it gives it some credit, in my eyes at least.” It wasn’t her place to choose what they did, that was Jazper’s, but she could offer her opinion nonetheless.

Neela paused uneasily for a moment, staring at Jaden thoughtfully before she gave her head a minutely brief dip in his direction. ”I apologise. Amy is a sore subject for me; she nearly killed a close friend of mine and myself as well. I overreacted.” Neela’s voice was stiff and formal still but not forced; if X’yrin had chosen to lead a pack alongside this Jaden then he must have some redeeming qualities, despite his poor choice in friends. There was no mention of X’ies in her apology and there would be none, the male had insulted her unprovoked and borderline threatened Casa multiple times.

With Jaden’s dismissal of X’ies and the smug look on the males face Jazper had to take a deep breath and calm himself, holding back his urge to punch the overly analytic male square in the muzzle. As soon as his back turned and he was far enough away the Sole spat in his direction with a snarl, a clear sign to Jaden that his friend would not be greeted in the most welcome manner should he return. Although the Sole was normally a friendly and open man he could not stand those that could not hold a simple conversation without plotting. He was not the most intelligent of wolves, this was true, but he enjoyed conversation and discussions in a civil manner. It was the constant analyzing mind and the lack of personality that pissed off the leader more than the mans words.

At the mention of X’yrin however his reaction was much different. Instantly his ears perked up high, his brows rose, and he seemed taken back by the information. He listened to Neela’s words confirming what he had heard and verifying X’yrin’s character. Giving her the time to apologize he swatted a paw in her direction absent mindedly, I know X’yrin. His words came out as though he was in a daze. Why would one so good, someone with such a heart, align herself with such careless and impersonal allies. Rolling his shoulders and shaking himself out of the daze his eyes focused on the black and white co-leader. Tell me about your pack. Your values, location… At this point he just wanted the information, to find out what X’y was up to. He wasn’t aware she was going to be forming another pack after the disbandment of Ichika and she hadn’t come to visit him since. Why hadn’t she chosen to settle closer to Casa?

Aro remained between the two groups, his arms firmly folded over his chest. He was calm, but his mind ready watching them. He had no care for the sub-leader, the man wasn't being pompous, to put it kindly, like the other one. His father said it, and Aro still did pay attention to the male. His eyes focused on the 'in-charge' male when he told the idiot to leave. The male had to gulls to speak like he had some alternative motive and Aro's lips twitched up as his ocean spray eyes glimmered with their first hint of anger. This male hadn't a clue, this was but a fraction of the members in these lands, if he dared to start a thing with them, or the pack chose to start a thing they would have trouble on their hands. The pack was twenty strong and growing..this male was unaware, "...oh, I don't think you got it all..." Aro spoke in his deep smooth voice, eyes stern as he watched the back of that pompous idiot. He glanced out the corners of his eyes as his father spat in the man's direction.

"E 'davvero quello che è venuto a rappresentare questo pacchetto ...."

So far Aro wasn't impressed, even after the sub-leader spoke of whom their leader was. Aro didn't know anything of this woman. He was in the dark and completely neutral listening to his father, Neela, and this male talk. His ears remained alert and watched the body language. His mind wasn't anything like the pompous one who left, but he was always ready for anything, when focused. Sidra could attest, however, the more they conversed without the other male here, he could see that perhaps this pack was not quite like that idiot they associated with...still, Aro kept an opened yet closed mind toward this pack...

If it were not for the values of Sangi’lak that Jazper would later ask for, X’ies would not be so smug. The pack Jaden had grown up in inspired fear into all who knew of it. He had never grown accustom to hearing the tone X’ies always spoke in. Someone ignorant enough to throw the like against him even just six months ago would have been quickly and painfully taught a lesson. For all the Lambda’s words and brains he was much too scrawny to have any real fight in him. No doubt the wolf would need to fight dirty in order to stand any kind of chance against a real warrior. The Issum couldn’t help shaking his head slightly at been “bequeathed” anything from him. But he let it go as he had done before and as he would continue to do like he had X’yrin he would.

With the aggravating male gone it felt like a huge weight had been taken out of the very air. Jaden took a deep breath while the pregnant female’s eyes settled on him. Her apology further refreshed the newly cleansed air. Jaden smiled lightly and nodded back but offered no verbal recognition as Jazper soon spoke too. He admitted to knowing Sangi’lak’s Issor and his voice said quite positively. This was no surprise but it did give Jaden more pride in his fellow leader. She was well known in the land and this was not the first tension that had been defused by her name.

Jazper would then ask about the pack and solidify the idea of peace between them. Blue eyes looked back at the other monstrous alpha with not excitement but a genuine happiness for the chance to explain the pack better. As I said before, Sangi’lak is far north of here. We settled near the base of Mount Oromocto and on the western shores of what was Grand Lake. We were originally composed of Ichika members who had lingered in the land. Our values encircle a belief that the pack, our family, should be placed above all else. That was literally their motto: family above all else. We are few and I thought it’d be best to present us as peace seekers. His ear flicked again as he thought on X’ies’ actions and how they contradicted most every word he said. I will apologize again for X’ies. I’d been convinced his way with words might be useful in peace talks.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.
