Helping Hands

Honestly, he's not picky and has nowhere else in mind. Terra is his biggest motivator. :3

Moss was still thinking about it and probably would be for a while. But she would be the first to know if he ended up joining the pack. In all honesty, Moss wasn't the type to go around and research before he chose somewhere to call home. As long as he could trust the members and had a reason to join, which he did, then he couldn't see why it would be a bad idea. He was becoming lonely outside of pack borders and now the idea of finally joining a pack was certainly a humble one. Moss could tell Terra was somewhat happy that he was thinking on it, and that motivated him more. The thought wasn't so bad after he took a couple minutes to consider it. The brute would be lucky to call Terra's pack home and be with her and her pups often.

Terra promised that if he were to join he wouldn't regret it. Well, how could he refuse that. Moss took a few moments of silence to consider it as he looked into the pack lands, over the lands he might soon call home. A toothy grin spread across his face as he turned back to him, immediately toned down by the sight of Eilam in the forest. Again, he was standing and staring at him with a smile on his face. The spirit seemed to be drawn to emotion, and the excited air was probably attracting him right now. With a sigh, Moss looked to Terra. What if she saw him? What if members of the pack saw him? What would they think of him? Maybe they would simply kick him out, or Terra would be frightened of him and want nothing to do with him. The thoughts certainly scared the gentle giant. The worry was apparent in his blank stare to Terra. The spirit was always his biggest concern and most dangerous vice.

The giant snapped out of it realizing he was staring directly at the woman. His gaze focused on the forest again and Eilam was gone. Now, he could't say yes, not with all of these factors to consider. It was tempting, but he knew better than to cause problems. I'll think about it. I love the idea of being around you and the pups and being part of a family...but I think maybe I'm not ready. His fears for rejection were great. He also didn't want to let anyone down. Now what would he do? If he showed Eilam to Terra, surely she would reject him as well. Especially once she saw the things he did to the poor pit-wolf.

OOC would be nice if this romance worked out Smile

She waited patiently as Moss thought over it. It looked like he would be joining, her tail beginning to sway behind her. A large grin faced her, only to completely vanish as he stared off into the woods. Whipping her head around Terra searched the trees. She didn't see anything out of place, and there wasn't any smell that drew her attention. The worry in his features confused Terra, Ananse and Loki settling down to sleep.

There was no bright concern that she could think of, nothing that stood out in her mind. Unless he was a pup killer or something. He wasn't, was he? Terra arched her form over the pups subconsciously, thinking about Shandom. He had killed pups. The thought of another male she knew murdering pups, and being so close to her own, made her tense. Nodding her head she smiled sadly at Moss' words. You want to find your own mate. Understandable. Having him with her was a makeshift solution at best.

It would. :3

The pit-wolf got a bit nervous when Terra turned to see what he was looking at. Luckily, his spirit was smart enough to veil himself from everyone. He was also shy and didn't respond to most. Moss held his breath when she turned but quickly released it when she turned back, seeing nothing in the forest but the forest itself. This was definitely going to be a problem. How would she react if she were to see Eilam? Most didn't react well and were frightened of him, even if he was harmless and had done nothing in his past life but try to help others, much like Moss.

Moss's mismatched eyes widened as Terra pinpointed the concerns for his own future. He straightened up, a hand coming to scratch at his built chest. He gave a thoughtful smile and sighed. Yes... He didn't want to get in depth on it not wanting to come off as desperate or anything else that might draw her away. If she knew how much he thought about it, how he fantasized about having a family of his own maybe she'd think he was odd. But who didn't think of having a family and raising children? It was something most every canine had in common, or so he'd like to think. His features softened further as he started to think on the subject again, his guard dropping as the lovely thoughts swam through his mind. It would be lovely to find a mate... As soon as he caught himself being all day dreamy, he caught himself and became embarrassed some. But don't most of us want that? You've already accomplished half. He told her her with a smile, looking past her for a moment at the the sleeping pups.

She wasn't stupid. Keen eyes peered over Moss, taking in his tense form. There was something he was hiding from her. Had another canine snuck into the territory? Perhaps a friend of Moss' that he hadn't wanted to leave behind. What was wrong with the canine that would make him hide the other though? Even worse, she could see the longing in his eyes. Terra wanted a mate as well. Specifically, she wanted Kit. She'd loved him, even if it had taken a while to realize that.

He wasn't going to be here for her though, so Terra had to move on. She would pick another mate, hopefully someone else that would love her. Someone that wouldn't be a threat to her pups, and help her care for them. Terra didn't know what exactly she'd be looking for in a mate yet, but she would be. A glimmer of sorrow flicked in her eyes at his words. It's not complete. She nuzzled against him, soaking in his strong presence. It was good to be with him at least.

They're getting cuter!

For a split second, Terra seemed to mimic his own expression and he saw it clearly. He was good at making observations and seeing other people's feelings. It was all part of being a big help to everyone he met. Her words confirmed what he saw and soothed him in a way, and her motions only calmed him further. He leaned into her nuzzle, pressing his own giant head up against her for a moment. He absorbed the comfort she offered and did his best to give some to her as well. A hand came to cup her face and he looked her in the eyes. She was right. Her family wasn't fully complete, she didn't have a mate. Even though her family wasn't complete without one, she was well on her way. Moss still had nothing and never had. He envied her in that way. His thumb ran softly against her cheek as he spoke, his eyes soft, full of the want and need for a family of his own while at the same time being sympathetic for Terra and her missing mate. He tried to lighten the mood by making a joke of sorts. Well beautiful, you're closer than I am. His smile was wide, hoping he would bring the atmosphere out of this dark depressing one he had created.

With her talking the way she was and having that look in her eye, it was making him want to join the pack more and more. He wanted to be here for her. She was so full of life and so much fun to be around, and even though they'd only seen each other twice he enjoyed the time he'd spent with her so far. Moss looked further into the pack lands with fierce eyes. Maybe he should just take a chance and join.

The returned affection sent a warm feeling through her body. She wasn't completely alone. She had Moss, a stranger that had already proved that he was willing to fight for her pups. The pack was here with her as well, granting her aid when they could. It was the current presence that brought her mood up, soft and warm despite the strong muscles beneath. Her small muzzle was easily engulfed by his hand as he turned her head to face him, wondering what he wanted.

There was so much pain in his eyes. Terra hadn't expected to see that, her hackles partly raised. Why would anyone hurt him in such a manner? Suddenly uncomfortable with the closeness the coyote broke away, turning her head and backing up. A careless grin was back on her face, teasing as she spoke. But of course! No one could resist me when I place my charm on. Straightening up she stood, spinning around goofily as she mocked her own words.

The touch to her face only lasted a few short moments until she turned away and moved herself farther from him. Had he done something wrong? Maybe the motion was too bold. His hand immediately dropped, ears flicking back and the sorrow was replaced with a slight embarrassment. Terra quickly averted the evident awkward air with a joke of her own. A chuckle broke his silence and he stood along with her, staying where he was. You're right about that. I certainly couldn't resist you if you were to place it on me. He smiled, standing in the same place. Why did he feel that if he made one wrong move she would flutter away like a butterfly, never to be seen again? He didn't want her to go, already feeling a relationship building between them. Nothing more than friends at the moment, but he saw the potential and like always, he would pursue any spark he saw.

Moss ran a hand through his thick hair, putting on the most charming face he had in him. His brow delved inwards, and his lips curled in a charming grin as his hair was pulled out of his face by his large hand. My charm can't be turned off...I'm sorry if it overwhelms you. His own joke had him laughing loudly, the hand falling to the back of his neck and down his shoulder to fall back at his side again. He was funny when he wanted to be. He didn't believe he had any sort of charm, zero confidence in his appearance and ways with the women. But, that only made him try harder to appeal to them. He knew he was handsome to some extent, his built body carrying most of his physical attraction. Though he didn't really try to hard to maintain his appearance always using his words to win someone over. He had a way with compliments it seemed.

Rough laughter reverberated through the gentle hybrid. Glad that the awkwardness had passed Terra's tail swayed behind her, eyes alight with laughter. She was enjoying his soft company, and everything that came with it. The dark subject was pushed away, Moss standing up to join Terra. Her tail swayed, an impish grin on her features as he spoke. Winking she moved closer to him, the pups still sound asleep. For now she could do what she wanted without consequence. A slave to my charms!

His own words brought out laughter from her, her voice ringing brightly through the clearing. Staggering back Terra lifted up a hand, holding it to her eyes. The charm! It's too much! I shan't be able to resist! Dramatically she leaned against a tree, looking more like she'd tried looking at the sun than struggling to turn away from the wolf before her. Her tail beat against the tree methodically, giving away her delight at the game.

This woman was so much fun. For once Moss was letting loose, there wasn't a care in the world once he'd pushed his troublesome thoughts away. Terra's exuberance was infectious and she had him playing along having the time of his life. The two began to move closer once again, closing the gap the lovely mother had created because of the awkward air. She winked and he smiled wider, another laugh trembling from his broad chest. It was true. He was a slave to her charms, to most anyone's charms really but he was with her right now and he was being blown away by her every move and word, getting caught up in her like a fly in a spider's web...a very lovely spider that is. Moss stumbled forward as though he were being physically weakened by the beauty's charms before throwing his own charm at her.

Her laugh was like music, wonderful and soft as it drifted into his ears. It drew him to her. The gentle giant wanted to hear more of her melodious laughter. Moss watched her dramatic theatrics as she stumbled into a tree, hiding herself away with her hand. He laughed and acted along some more. Oh, both of our charm together is simply too much. I can't take it! With that, he stumbled forward some more coming close to where she was before he dropped to his knees holding out a hand towards her. I...I'm not going to last. With a groan, he fell to the ground and flipped over onto his back letting his head fall to the side and his tongue fall out of his mouth as though he were dying. He couldn't help but smile, a laugh threatening to erupt from his large form. His ears twitched, listening for any sound Terra may make. He hoped to hear more of that infectious laughter that was capable of brightening fowl mood he may be in.

Laughter tickled through Moss' frame, great and ponderous. Both of them pushed back the air that had been left, destroying the solemn nature with laughs that tickled through everything. He pulled forward, almost as if he was drawn irresistibly to her by the great charms that she had cast with her laughter. He followed along with the dramatics, caving in after Terra as she faked being weakened and breathless by his presence.

Giggles bubbled through her as he crawled forwards, slowly falling to the ground. Once he was on the ground dead Terra laughed, falling down and resting her head against his chest. I hear life! Nuzzling into his chest Terra met his bright eyes. In that moment she forgot that they were just pretending, and her breath truly did catch. There was so much emotion there, so much life playing along in her games. It filled the loneliness inside her. Remembering to breath again she turned her head, pushing back up. It was just a game. I fear my charms have failed me, as you've lived through their onslaught.

Oh the wondrous laughter continued to fill the air and drift to his ears which swiveled in her direction, his smile growing with each giggle. He could hear her coming closer, eventually pressing an ear up against her chest. He could have sworn his heart skipped a beat, but if it hadn't he knew his heart beat was rising in pace knowing she was so close to him. Her voice sounded proclaiming he was alive and he groaned again, tipping his head to the other side dramatically as his tongue flopped along with it. He cracked an eye open to see her gazing up at him, a sight that for a moment seemed to stop time in it's tracks. It was a sight that imprinted on him, one that he would remember. She nearly drew the very breath from his dark lips, her charm actually rendering him breathless. In that moment, he was part of something bigger and all of his past worries were nothing but grains of sand in an entire desert.

The pace of time quickened eventually and he was thrown back into their dramatics, his eye shutting and another gargling groan arising from him. She spoke again and he couldn't help a chuckle. Though he made it sound tired, weakened by her. Lovely maiden... His eyes both cracked open and his head lifted to view her, a hand coming to grasp his chest. that is not at all the case. If not for my own charms weakening you, I would be gone. But...it seems we are evenly matched. This battle has ended in a draw. He pushed away his smile long enough to lay his head on the ground, staring up at the clouds with a longing expression. You are the most powerful charmer I have ever had the luck to lay eyes upon... He couldn't help but break into laughter as he looked back over to her. Terra was just what he needed to get out of the rut he'd been in for the last few weeks. He'd been drinking, sitting in the forest alone, and singing into the trees. It was pathetic to think about really.

His tongue was flopped right out of his mouth trying to pass off as dead. Of course if he really was he would smell different, but it was just a game. Chuckling her tail beat behind her, happy that Moss was enjoying this banter as much as she was. The slow dramatics embarked, gripping at his chest as he sat up. Terra's ears swung forwards, doing her best to react properly to his words, tearfully pushing long strands of hair away from her eyes.

Terra tossed her head, pretending to falter and fade for a moment, falling back. It is a good thing we are, or I would have been overtaken completely. She stayed clutching the ground, listening to his soft words. Well, I have been practicing with the squirrels. Winking she settled down, gazing up at the drifting clouds. It was good to have him here with her, even if soon enough the moment would break and she would have to return to her pups to care for them.

The gentle giant had to admit that Terra's performance was much more believable than his own. He would have believed her if he didn't know this was a game. Her sorrowful expression was cute, the woman removing strands of hair from her face with a dainty hand. He laughed wholeheartedly as he let his head fall back onto the floor, shutting up moments afterwards. Mismatched eyes focused on the tawny woman, watching her continue performing in front of him. He was drawn to her, mesmerized by the emotions that seemed to be real. He gave a light chuckle as she faltered and then fell delicately onto the grass as if she were almost fainting.

Moss crawled towards her slowly, clutching handfuls of grass and dirt in his hands as he moved, pulling himself with each four legged stride. His eyes ran over her body as she lay there, taken aback a moment by her simple beauty. Yes, and then I could no longer live with myself knowing I had offed such a lovely and charming creature. A wink was sent his way and he chuckled, smiling at her as he fell on the ground next to her. Their act seemed to come to a close at that moment as they gazed up at the sky. The world seemed light, full of energy as he lay there. The slowly passing white tufts in the air served as a form of relaxation, the giant becoming calmer each moment he watched them. With a chuckle, he turned his head to look at Terra doing nothing more than smiling widely.

She felt his gaze run over her, seemingly admiring every inch of her frame. Her tail wagged softly, soaking in the attention. She enjoyed being the center of his focus, even if she wasn't quite sure what he was seeing when his gaze fell on her. Giggling Terra curled a little, rolling around with laughter. Settling down again she sighed with delight, tail wagging behind her. It was good to relax, and soak in the sunlight with a friend. She might not know him well, but he was dependable.

The clouds drifted overhead, just a peaceful sight that she wanted to lay and soak in. Terra could feel the hybrid's eyes on her, unsure whether or not she should react to it. In the end she stayed as she was, deciding to leave him be. The cries of her pups brought her up, bolting over to the den. In record time she shifted down, long hair fading away as she dropped to all fours, a cramping pain running through her when she tried to rush it. Slipping in she nuzzled her pups, letting them settle in to nurse. It looked like their visit was over for now.
