Adonia finally couldn't handle not having her red doggy. The female finally mustered the courage to leave the borders and her mate behind. Though, the two didn't hold much to one another other than a song and a few comforting words that neither would leave one another. Still, now Adonia wondered how sincere her promise was. Her legs moved with a swiftness only a husky could pull off. She was running as if she was running from something...not toward something. Her tail was tucked and her ears pasted back as she pushed her legs herself forward with a need to get away and a need to have her possession. Theos couldn't keep up with her, even from the skies, at a leisure soaring pace, he had to actually flap those large wings of his, and ride any wind currents to keep up. He couldn't though, his friend was too fast. He still had her in eye's sight, and that was good enough for him.

The target lands were a far ways away and Adonia wasn't stopping her run. She was getting very tired, and her mouth was now wide open making her look a little crazy as her tongue went out tot he side. Eyes wide as she ran with all she had. The lands she was going toward was near Moonstone Lakes. A small village laid there among the lake. It was where Phoenix Valley was before the conversion. That was where her red doggy was. The travel was easily a half day's worth, if traveled at a respectable pace. Adonia wanted to get there fast, and she wasn't going leisurely about it. She ran, and with both husky and wolf blood in her, she had the endurance to go for days. At this pace, Adonia would get there in no time. She left New Dawn early in the morning before the sun overtook the valley. Now the sun was getting almost to the top of the sky and Adonia slowed some but found a good steady pace.

Theos knew where she was heading, and unlike his wolf companion, he couldn't flap those wings forever. He resigned to soaring to gain his energy. Adonia was relatively alone now as she ran, the lake scent in the air and she became excited picking up some hidden energy allowing her to pick up speed just a half a mile faster. Adonia was able to keep herself running a good 20 mph on average. This allowed her to get to her destination much faster than if she just walked then trotted then ran here and there...no she wanted her stuffed dog. It wasn't even noon yet and Adonia was coming up to the village. It was in sight and her paws slowed to a trot. It was at this point that she realized she had done herself in. Her muscles were sore and her body begged for rest and water. Soon.. she told herself while she eyed the village finding the place she had once called home. She looked at the door, head looking up to the structure. Someone had been in there..or had she left the door open?

Adonia became cautious as she stood in front of the door, her paws slowly coming up the steps, ears going back. It was around this time Theo came soaring down at a ridiculous speed and landed right in front of her making her yelp and fall back in fear. She soon realized it was Theo, "Don't do that!" She yelped, "That wasn't nice, you should know better!" The golden eagle merely laughed, "This is why I have to be the brave one..." She stood to her fours and shook her coat off, "I'm brave..just not in the ways you think are..." She pleaded a little as she again resumed to walking back up the steps and pushing the door the rest of the way open. Her ears were half back and her tail relaxed as her paws carried her into her old home.

Dust had consumed everything, and memories of Domonick flooded her mind. She missed the obsidian male..he was so fun and sweet. She wondered what had happened to him, but that didn't matter now. Her paws carried her to her bed room, and right in the middle of her bed Red Doggy still laid. She jumped onto the bed relieved that no one had stolen him, she couldn't believe she had left him behind for this long..but with the pack change, her new duties and Ookami's first disappearance...

She stood on the bed staring down at the white stuffed dog with his red ears and tail..his nose was once red but she sucked all the red velvet off it when she was a puppy leaving him now with his hard plastic black nose. Her paws smacked him getting the dust off before she picked him up with her mouth and jumped off the bed.

Theo stood on the porch his predatory gaze watching everything making sure everything was safe as his companion canine was in the human structure gathering what she had been desperately longing for. It wasn't long before Adonia came out with the stuffed animal in her mouth. Theo looked at her not knowing what it was, nor what made it useful. He didn't question her though, she had been rather sensitive lately and questioning her motives would make her over think things...

Moss had been relatively busy lately helping Terra with her two freshly born pups. The young mother needed time to rest from the energy filled balls of fur who were in need constant need of a watchful eye. That's what he was there for. He also hunted for her and her children and watched them when needed and he enjoyed every bit of it. Moss loved helping Terra and being around her two handsome boys. But, Moss needed a break every now and then too and when the mother slept with her puppies in tow, the orange wolf-dog left for some time of his own. But, even as he spent some with himself he was constantly thinking about the woman and her pups.

Today Moss was in search of something useful for them, besides food. He wanted to find something thoughtful for the young woman that she could use to help with the puppies and possibly make things easier on her. The man trotted through the forest in Lupus form, his least favorite form, though it accomplished the simple goal of getting from one place to another quickly. He wasn't exactly sure where he headed and let his nose lead him through the trees. Many scents started to fill his nose, musty old scents from decades ago. Those scents told him that he were coming onto an old human civilization. This was the perfect place to find something the mother could put to use. A smile spread across his maw as he picked up speed, his pit bull muscles carrying him effortlessly through the forest. His tongue hung out of his mouth happily as he bounded over the landscape.

The gentle giant entered the old town where a lot of the buildings were old and nearly falling a part, but a lot of them were in tact and in livable condition. This made him wonder if someone possibly had lived her. His nose rose to search the air and what he found was interesting. There were several old scents wafting around, possibly the remnants of an old wolf pack. But, he couldn't be sure of that as there were no longer any residents here. One scent stood out among all the others, fresh. There was someone in this town, a female by her scent. Moss's tail started to wag behind him and he trotted in the direction of the wolf's scent, ears at attention on top of his orange rustle furred head. His head swung from side to side as he looked around, keeping himself alert for danger. These places were the worst places to be. Rogue luperci liked to hide out in old buildings like these instead of the forest. Moss would know about that being a loner himself.

Mismatched eyes squinted as he looked ahead spotting a wolf like figure and as he got closer he confirmed it. In all situations one needed to be weary so Moss stopped where he was and released a deep chested alert bark in the female's direction. He also didn't want to scare her. Moss was a large bodied canine with thick limbs, toned muscles, and scars littering his muscular body. If one didn't know his gentle personality, they would pin him as a fighter. Though his face said he was calm and kind, welcoming to the stranger. His tail wagged excitedly waiting for a response.

Adonia still held her red doggy in her mouth, she trotted lightly and joyfully down the steps of her old home, jumping gracefully before the last step and landed down in a play bow with her stuffy. Theos watched her with a mirthless stare. His one eye caught the sight of another off in the distance. His head turned and speaking in low speech, just for her to hear, Adonia ... company.." Adonia was picking up on low speech as Theos was trying to show her. It was a favor for teaching him high speech. Adonia let go of her stuffy ears pressed forward as she tried to spot the stranger. His bark caught her attention and she turned, her bi-colored orbs finding the orange wolf. His size caught her off guard. He was nearly as much of a giant as the leader of that other pack. Adonia couldn't recall the name, but he was Noah's brother. She stood letting out a yip. It was all she could manage. Wolves nor Huskies really barked, and she wasn't very good at barking.

Her tail was dropped in a slightly submissive manner as she proceeded to pick up her Red Doggy. Her tail low began to wag while her ears stayed back. She was wanting to meet the stranger but she was nervous too. Her eyes caught some of the scars. Theos hopped off the porch flying a short distance to Adonia's back. He was really too large to be on her now, but he wanted to let the other canine know that he was there. Adonia educated him on what his ancestors have been used for, and despite the other wolf's size he was still a Golden Eagle...a wolf killer by blood.

Adonia took the weight of her eagle, and he was doing a little bit better at not digging his claws into her. She took the initiative to move closer to him, her mouth still stuffed with a stuffed animal. She was approaching in the most puppy like of manners. Eyes shimmered innocently while she whined happy at the prospect of meeting a new face and possibly making a friend.

Mine is poop. :x

The rusty wolf-dog observed the stranger from afar and saw that she wasn't alone. She had a bird with her. His massive head tilted in curiosity for the two. Moss was the type who often took in strays or injured animals and nursed them back to health and also knew that a lot of luperci had animals as companions. Over the years Moss had been able to learn and master low speech. The sailors on the boat he took over here helped him with it as well and by the time he got here, he was an expert. It came in handy when trying to help injured creatures.

Eventually she responded with a feminine and excited yip which had his tail going faster behind him. Good. He wasn't in the mood to deal with dangerous strangers. As she approached with a human item in mouth, he noticed her submissive posture and immediately relaxed his body to match hers. He wasn't here to intimidate pretty females, only to search the old city for useful items and maybe make a new friend. The bird that had been watching her from afar was now perched on her back and Moss eyed him curiously, not a single threat could be found in his playful gaze. A playful groan rumbled from the pit of his chest ending in an impatient whine. In this four legged form he couldn't help but sink back into his doggish instincts. Moss looked her over. She was beautiful and it was obvious that she had some dog blood in her as well by her coloration and some of her features which were feminine and sweet. Moss approached keeping his head low and and eye on her and when he reached her he sniffed at her muzzle and the stuffed animal that was lodged in her jaws like a normal dog would do before backing up and looking up at the bird who didn't look very happy that he was here. Then he met her eyes again, which were stunning. A mixture of blues and the tiniest hints of brown. He wouldn't have noticed if he was so close to her.

He tried to be polite and ignore her beauty for the meantime and make small talk with her. I wasn't expecting anyone else to be in this town. It appears to be abandoned. He recalled the many other scents on her, ones that did not match the faded ones from this place. What's such a beautiful woman such as yourself doing out here? It can be dangerous in places like these. If he had been a violent character, she may have ended up hurt. But, he wasn't and was always happy to meet new people, especially women.

The closer she approached the more she gained his scent. Theos never minded other males, and in a way the only male he didn't like was Adonia's mate because of all the pain he'd caused her, then he also didn't care for Noah since he threatened to eat him as a hatchling. Tharin wasn't bad, he made Adonia smile. Theos just didn't trust any male around his companion. In a way the wolfdog was his, that's how the bird saw it. His predatory gaze judging the male who seemed to make himself more relaxed and less threatening. Adonia continued to approach her bi-colored orbs finding the mismatched ones of the orange toned male. They were quite unique to her and the more friendly he looked the happy she became making her eyes sparkle. He sniffed at her muzzle and she too did the same, her tail raising a little in excitement. She continued to clutch onto her Red Doggy throughout the very natural canine inspection. A silent greeting she hadn't performed since she was a pup. Her eyes got to peer closer into his as he seemed to lock eyes with her for a moment. They were so brilliant. One emerald green and the other a rusty looking brown.

Theo decided he had enough of this canine behavior and flew from her back toward a roof top where he could better survey the land and keep an eye on the two. So far the other seemed to be no threat what-so-ever. He spoke and she dipped her muzzle down gently letting go of her possession so she could talk. He tongue licking at her muzzle to wet her jowls after holding onto the dry stuffed animal. Her eyes looked back up, ears going back as she spoke. Her voice a soft melody, "I, too, hadn't expected to see another...or at least not a friendly face. I came here to retrieve my..um...belonging." A small shy smile caressed her muzzle, "Phoenix Valley used to reside here before it was Ichika..then Ichika disbanded a few months ago..I forgot my childhood possession here..." She was feeling a little insecure about being so materialistic about a human trinket...let alone something from her puppyhood.

Her head dipped down, eyes peering up to him, "..what brings you this way. You don't smell of this area...and you kind of smell like newborn puppies. Are you a father?" If indeed he was a father she knew she most likely needed to not bother him too much. His mate might come and attack her. She remembered how possessive some of the females were in New Dawn. The last thing Adonia would do was get in between a mated couple.....

How would she react if she saw a ghost? Or does she not believe in them? X3

Moss couldn't help but keep his eyes on her. She was beautiful and he was always weak in the presence of such a lovely lady. His doggish tail continued to sway happily behind him, fueled by her charm and the opportunity to make a new acquaintance. She didn't seem frightened by him even when he came inches away from her muzzle, a greeting which she returned politely. The rusty Pit-wolf gave a happy groan forgetting he had a voice for the moment. Their greeting may have been silent but he learned all he needed to from those few moments by her scent and her reaction. Moss payed no heed to the stuffed animal in her mouth not thinking it strange in the slightest though it did smell of the town around them. She'd gotten it from here and something like that would be perfect for Terra's puppies. The stranger had given him a grand idea of what he could take back and now he was even happier than before.

Moss backed up and huffed, relieved that she was kind. She took a moment to put the stuffed animal down and wet her lips so she could speak and when she did it only added to her charm and beauty. His ears flicked back with interest for her and strangely, he became a little nervous. All her small movements and expressions added to her attractiveness and his eyes hung on her, following every motion. He was such a sucker for a pretty lady. She explained what the toy was and his eyes darted down to it. Apparently it had sentimental value to her, he understood that. She also gave him an explanation to why the city wreaked of other, older scents. It used to be a pack. His eyes saddened for just a moment. It wasn't often that a pack broke and separated, but when they did it was a sorrowful occurrence. I'm sorry to hear that this pack separated. This place has a sad air around it, I couldn't help but notice all the old scents here.

The pretty wolf made another cute motion, looking up at his tall form with almost puppy like eyes. Though, he didn't see her as a puppy. He stiffened up, soaking up the submission she was radiating with. But he didn't in any sense take a dominant position over her. Moss chuckled lightly. Oh how he wished that were the case, to have puppies and a mate of his own. He lowered his head, the desire showing in his mismatched gaze. Oh, no. I'm helping take care of my friend's puppies, she just became a mother and needs help. He was proud to be helping, to be a small part of the intimate bond which is mother and child. I came here looking for something to bring them, that might help her or maybe even something for the puppies. He looked down at her stuffed animal. Maybe there is another toy like that? Or something useful here? Before he asked anymore questions or make anymore small talk he wanted to know her name, his eyes gleamed with interest as he asked, bowing first. I'm Moss Eilam Dovereaux by the way...It's rude of me to question you without you knowing my name. I'm sure there is a lovely name to accompany such a lovely woman, may I ask what it is?

Iono, I don't think she has the capability to see ghosts. She's never thought of ghosts, or heard ghosts stories. If it helps her father doesn't believe in ghosts and her mother believes in them XD Though she's never gotten on that subject with her parents.

His eyes seemed to be glued to her with attentive interest. Her ears couldn't help but go back as a mixture of embarrassment, awkwardness, and shyness overtook her. She remained polite as her thick wolfish tail wagged low behind her. Theo still kept an eye on her, willing to attack if this male overtook his boundaries with his canine. He was polite, though, and she couldn't help but be a little attracted to his behavior. Adonia was a curious husky-wolf. The rustic male spoke of the packs, and her ears came up a little, still remaining back. "Oh...some were saddened, however, many were quite excited about being taken over. The pack disbanded some distance from here. Ichika had us move, it was a little surprising to me..but I never paid too much attention to the politics of the packs...so surprised I kind of forgotten my red doggie here.." She gave a kind and sweet smile his direction before she went into a play bow her ears shooting forward while her mouth grabbed onto the stuffy and gently biting a few times on the stuffed dog.

Her eyes glanced up to him in a wholesome sweet manner. She let her rump come down when the male smiled and spoke of his generous assistance to a female with pups that were not his own. Her mouth came off her sentimental item and her nose pointed up to him, "Oh, that is very sweet of you!" A soft smile came over her muzzle, "It is quite possible that some homes hold human trinkets like the stuffed dog I own...I would love to help, if you'd like!" She immediately stood up with ears completely alert, eyes bright with excitement, and tail high and wagging. She loved searching for things, and she remembered her few trips to Halifax and finding many things like paintings, body decorations, and as a matter of fact other stuffed animals. "Well...if we don't find anything here, I know for a fact you'll find some in Halifax!" Still excitement beamed from the husky-wolf.

Her ears went back as she felt embarrassed when she too realized they hadn't known each other's names. Her head dipped down in a shy fashion, only to lower move almost tucking her muzzle down to keep her eyes from seeing his when he spoke of appearance. Her voice tightened as warmth ran over her, many had spoke of appearance being attractive, but he had now did it twice. Her eyes still avoided his while her tail nearly tucked, "..I...I am Adonia...Adonia Demos.." She had to muster the confidence to speak her name more clearly as her words started out at a very soft pinch and had to make her words more audible. It took a little while for her head to move so her eyes could peer at his face. Soft smile on her muzzle. She almost wanted to say hi, in a slight joke, but her smile grew instead.

I only ask cause Moss has a spirit attached to him that hangs around every now and then. Maybe it's a good thing she can't see him. X3

It was always like Moss to kick into gentleman mode around a pretty woman, it was even more like him to succumb to her beauty and charm. He was feeling a slight bit shy around her, but it only showed in his relaxed posture. Other than that, his eyes shine brightly with intent and his tail swayed excitedly the whole time he stood in her presence. Moss was surprised when she said some were excited by the pack splitting up. He wouldn't be, he wasn't when he left his pack anyways although it had been exciting to get on that boat and come this way. When he got here, that's when things went downhill. But, now that he'd met some new faces things were beginning to look up. He smiled listening to her finish about Ichika and what had happened to it. Then she continued being her cute self and he couldn't help but become playful as well. His front legs spread out abruptly and he gave a slight play bow of his own before settling back down. She was still a stranger to him and he would be careful of how he was around her. His tongue hung happily from his maw, watching her play with the stuffed animal.

Moss radiated with pride when she complimented his kindness. Being a help to anyone he could was always the rusty giant's first priority. It's truly nothing, she needs someone there to help her. His tail sped up when she said there might be something here and his eyes wondered to the old houses in the area. There simply must be something. Yes of course I'd love your help. You seem to know this area better than I do, so it'll be easier. Moss reacted to her flamboyance and pranced forward barking playfully before coming to a stop and looking back at her. He was energized and determined, wanting to sprint off and find something immediately. But, he was having such a lovely time with this woman. Good thing she would be accompanying him. Now that they had met, he was curious about her and wanted to know all he could about her. Alright. Hopefully there will be something here so we don't have to travel. I only leave while the pups are sleeping, otherwise they're a handful. I can only imagine how hard it would be to be a mother. He chuckled. Moss was already fond of Ananse and Loki, Terra as well, and found himself treating them like they were his own. I'll go to Halifax if we don't find anything though.

There she went again, making every perfect but subtle movements that had Moss's eyes on her at all times. She was stunning to say the least. His ears pushed back in reaction to her shyness, feeling almost shy himself and completely captured by Adonia. His smile disappeared for a slight second as his eyes followed her, before it returned and he laughed warmly. He almost wanted to tell her not to be so shy and that he wasn't going to bite but he figured that would make her even more timid. Instead, he lowered his head a bit and looked at her, voice low and smooth as he spoke trying to bring her out of her shell. I was right. I lovely name indeed. It's nice to meet you Miss Adonia, truly. He stood there for a moment before realizing he was staring and not saying anything. Embarrassed, straightened up and looked away breaking the silence with an awkward audible gulp and a throat clearing. Should we start searching then? He trotted back up to her and around before looking back and motioning for her to follow. He really didn't know where he was going but started to pad into the village eyes open and alert for anything they might find. He was more excited to have been given the chance to spend time with Adonia.

Hehe, does this mean there is going to be a ghost about that Adonia can't hear or see :3 That will be funny Big Grin

Word Count → 000

For a second the small husky-wolf thought there was going to play, but he straightened up before any real play could ignite. The prospect of play did get Adonia's tail wagging almost vigorously. When she straightened up her ears were in alert from being ignited a little from thoughts of play. "...well, I think your aid is something. Not many males take on another female's litter. Our instincts still over rule us at times.." Her two toned eyes found his bi-colored optics for a second before turning away feeling it was rude to peer into his eyes. A soft grin took her muzzle as he said he'd like her help. She grabbed onto her stuffy in excitement and spun in place biting gently onto her red doggy several times before going into a bow, then letting her stuffy go. "Yay! An adventure to find puppy toys and stuff!" Her eyes looked up to his facial features.

Theo wasn't amused, well...maybe a little by his master's excited little antics. She was truly a sweetheart. It was one of the reasons he never shown kindness to strangers, or males around her. She was too vulnerable to the unkind and evil doers out there. He made it his top priority to keep her safe.

She gave a soft giggle, "...oh, I'm sure mother instincts help your friend. I know if I had puppies they wouldn't be too much work. It's all built in. Instinct would take over." She gave a proud grin, however, there was a bit of sadness around her. Adonia wanted to be a mother so badly. She wanted to have puppies to care for, and she wanted to raise them to be strong, honorable, and kind. Adonia didn't see herself as all that strong, but she would hopefully be able to instill her father's strength into them.

She became shy and awkward at the fact they didn't know one another. His name Moss Eilam Dovereaux was so handsome and strong. She liked it a lot. Her shyness and closing up made he not speak more than she needed. He came up to her, lowering a little so he could look at her facial features. Her eyes looked over to him, meeting his eyes. They seemed locked on her as he spoke. His deep voice smoothly speaking to her. His words making her eyes light up in a skittishly happy manner. She felt her cheeks burn at his compliments. She wanted to say how handsome his name was, but she fell silent as she stared back taking in his attractive features.

She had to scream at herself, You have a mate!! His name is Ookami! Her eyes tore away from him, and it wasn't but a split second after her action that he too tore from her making an audible swallow and cough clearing his throat before speaking again. She knew she had a mate, but he wasn't giving her that much attention. He was barely available to her. He serenaded her once since he'd been back, granted he's been wounded..but still. He disappeared once, then twice on her. However...they did have that slightly magical moment when he came back the first time..

What was wrong with her!? She was warming up to any male attention...and she wasn't even in heat!? She remained avoiding looking at him, it took his movements to catch her attention. She looked up, standing upright, ears still back. "...yeah.." her soft voice sounded. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to be around him...she was feeling like she was going to be cheating. Adonia needed to keep her bearings, and avoiding a situation by secluding herself wasn't going to help.

She watched Moss, then realized he wasn't sure where to begin. A slight giggle broke from her, "...c'mon..." She sang out a little before trotting a little more freely, grabbing her stuffy and letting her body move in it's natural grace. The charcoal, brown, and cream wolfdog lead him to a home she knew housed pups at one time. Surely there had to be a few things in there. It was then that Adonia knew that she would have to shift from this four-legged form. She hadn't shifted, she hadn't been in her Optime form since listening to Ookami's love song. Placing her stuffy down, she looked back to Moss, "..we might need to change forms...opening doors won't be easy..." She mentioned shyly. She didn't like being in her Optime form around others. She was embarrassed by her feminine form. Quite self-conscious about her curves.

Adonia knew if she were going to be any help she needed to be in her Optime form. Taking in an encouraging breath she let her eyes close and began the process. Theo watched from afar, and became a little more intent. Her shifting meant that he could stay with her. He could perch on her shoulder and therefore keep a better eye on this Moss character. Once her body was in full Optime form, he came down from his perch descending down soaring quickly just inches from the earth, then ascended to grasp her shoulder with his feet, trying not to dig his talons into her.

Adonia sensed his eyes, then heard his wings on the wind. She knew Theo was coming, and when he grabbed onto her shoulder she winced a little, her fur padding her from any wounds, but the feeling of his talon points on her skin always made her nervous. He was always easy though. "...hello, Theo...coming to join us?" She asked in a small joke as she picked up her red dog by it's arm before opening the door, her eyes glancing over to Moss, a little scared to see what his expression was, but wanting to make sure he was ready to follow her into the house.

Possibly yes. He can show up at any time. Big Grin They're cute. X3

Adonia's explanation made sense. But, he was bent on helping everyone whether the pups were his or not. It was something he found joy from. Moss didn't want to be like his old pack mates, who were too blind to see through all the rumors and past squabbles. The relatives of the same pack mates drove Eilam to a young and undeserved death. It was saddening how utterly blind and gullible people were. But, that was past him. He'd left them be hind, or rather was banished, and now he would make a future for himself. Moss would try his hardest to find a mate and make a family...it was his biggest goal in life.

The rusty giant smiled taking pride in the help he gave others. Thank you...I just wanted to be of some help. It's a harsh world and she was on the brink of a meltdown when I met her...she's much better now though. Also, the pups were growing up strong and happy thanks to their wonderful mother. They're going to be great canines when they grow up. Moss just wanted to sink into the playful mood Adonia was setting. It wasn't often that he had time for such careless fun. He play bowed again, groaning deeply and playfully as she chewed on the toy. If it didn't have sentimental value he'd lung forward and start a game of tug-of-war with her. She was amusing and beautiful, a lucky being to run into and a possible catch in his eyes.

Moss laughed briskly sure she was right. He just felt his help was much appreciated and would be there whenever she needed him. But, to say it wasn't that much work? He couldn't imagine raising puppies would be easy. If she thought it would be and it turned out to be easy, then she would be a super hero to him. Well, I should trust your judgement. You share the same instincts. Thank you for easing my nerves. He wanted to be there though. Even though Ananse and Loki weren't his, he loved being around them and seeing them grow up. Each day they did something little to take the next step. It was amazing to watch it happen right in front of him. However, Moss did wish, more than anything, to have his own pups. He would be the best father and mate he could.

The gentlemanly pit-wolf was nervous in his attempts to woo Adonia. He thought she might be taking to the compliments he gave her by how shy she was acting. But, maybe she was just trying to be nice. Even so, he would keep flattering her and continue his gentleman ways until he knew he didn't have a chance with the lovely woman. It was just like Moss to picture a future with every woman he met. The ones he actually pursued were rare though.

Adonia started to lead him and he gladly followed her exuberantly. His tongue flopped out of his mouth as he watched her move. She was just as graceful in her actions as she was in her words with her smooth feminine voice. They reached a house and she said they should probably shift. He agreed on that. It would make it much easier to search for things and a lot easier to carry more than one things back to the pack. I agree. He didn't think twice shifting immediately after that. His naked form twisted and elongated into the muscular two-legged being that he generally was. The scars on his body were much more prominent in this form, but he wasn't really ashamed of them. They were more like reminders of what got him to where he was today, even if it was hurtful to think about it. Once finished Moss stood and turned from Adonia so she could shift in privacy. The art of shifting was usually a very intimate thing and he thought it might be rude to watch the woman change right in front of him. It was awkward as he looked away and he was grateful once she was done. When he heard her talking to the bird he turned, his eyes widened as he lay them on her. She was gorgeous. The pit-wolf gawked at her for a few moments before he realized that he was staring and then he turned away. He could feel the heat developing under his fur, a blush of sorts. Moss cleared his throat and walked forward, taking the first step into the house.

Inside, it was messy. There were human items everywhere. Most of them, he didn't know their uses and they would serve no purpose. He wasn't quite sure where to start. The muscular man started to rummage through piles of stuff that lay around, opening drawers and such not quite sure what he was searching for. He also didn't know quite where to look. Mismatched eyes turned to Adonia to see if she might know where they should look. As he looked at her, he could feel an awkwardness arising. She was simply stunning and he couldn't look at her for very long without becoming flushed. It was rather strange.

Am I right in assessing that he might be a threat to Ookami getting back with her now that she is mateless? Perhaps they should get an updated thread in a few days? See what happens then X3

Word Count → 000

Theo was on her shoulder the entire time she walked into the home. She almost didn't notice the gawking, but glancing past Theos she saw the look. No one had ever gawked at her, at least not in a long long time. She didn't think she was all that great, and so she pushed it aside. Maybe he was just stunned at Theo's display..

He took the first steps in and Adonia followed, her eyes looking around and she eyed the items within, her red doggy in her hand. She saw nothing that would work, moving away from the room, her soft eyes looked everything over. "Mmm..this might be worth something to your friend.." She picked it up. It was a small thin picture book. Flipping through it, she found it to be a book of a child's level. Peter cottontail...a version of it that was very simple. "Know if you friend can read?" Her eyes met with his as she handed it over to him. "If so, this is a fun book to read them to sleep, or just to get them to calm.." Her eyes looked around and she found a little rag folded and shaped into a bone-like fashion. "A toy...something for tug-o-war...or teething.." She picked it up, and offered it for his inspection. The husky wolf wasn't done she rummaged more around the room looking for more things.

Theo was constantly adjusting himself on her shoulder, but as she moved he quickly settled for flying off and landing on the couch that was in the room. His eyes watched with his deep eagle's stare watching the interactions between this Moss male and his Adonia.

Adonia moved over to the end table and bent down looking behind it then saw something stuck between the couch and end table. "Oh!" Her tail gave a slow swaying wag as she moved and bent herself down between the furniture reaching as best she could and pulling out the plastic toy. It had yellow shapes inside, various shaped on the outside. Squares, stars, and triangle shapes, along with octagons and the such. There were chew marks on it, but still it was usable. "Its an interactive puzzle...this should make a good toy! What do you think?" Her eyes looked over to Moss and she gave a bright grin her eyes lighting up as she met his mismatched orbs.

Okay, I'm down for that. Poor Moss though. He seems to fall in love so easily which means he'll come to a fork in the road if he falls in love with Terra and her puppies. X3 Maybe this next post, or next thread I can put in Eilam and Moss can come to Adonia's rescue of she gets scared!? ;D

Thankfully, Adonia hadn't really noticed him looking at her the way he had been. Like a child in a candy store. He sighed, grateful he didn't have to explain himself and it was probably best he didn't act like that around her or she might get the wrong idea. It was kind of awkward that there was a bird on her shoulder who seemed to be looking at Moss at all times, like he was going to make a move towards Adonia.

As he searched through everything he saw, he couldn't determine what would be useful and what wasn't. He didn't know what types of things puppies played with or liked. Adonia was the first one to find something of any interest. It was a book. His face lit up as she picked it up and he strode over to her looking down at the book. He wasn't sure if Terra could read, he really didn't know her well enough to know if she could or not. He assumed she couldn't since the woman tended to be a more feral female who sunk back into her roots as a wild canine most of the time. He pouted and took the book from her flipping through it and looking at the pictures. It was an old book, but the color was still very vivid and beautiful. I'm not sure if she can read or not, and I can only read a small amount. He gave a small smile picturing the woman showing the colorful pictures to Ananse and Loki. But the pictures a wonderful and bright, fun to look at. She might appreciate this. He could bring back several things for her if he wanted, she didn't have to like them all. Moss broke from her and continued to look. There were child's blankets, an old broken crib, things that wouldn't serve much use to the mother.

Again, Adonia found the second trinket. It was something that right of the bat looked like it could be used, even thought the puppies were still very young. They could chew on it and it may keep them quiet when there mother wasn't there to cuddle up against. This is great!! You have good eyes. I can't seem to figure out what stuff is good and what isn't. They'll love it. He gave a satisfactory smile and continued to look. Something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. It was hidden behind piles of old blankets and an old piece of furniture. His eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out what it was but before he went over there he heard Adonia's excited voice behind him. His tail wagged as he turned to her seeing what treasure she had found. His face completely lit up when he saw it. It was bright and colorful, all the pieces were big enough that the pups could chew on but not swallow and it would be good for them when they got older. That's fantastic!! We're finding all sorts of stuff. He turned back to where he was looking before and walked over there pulling the dresser away from the wall. Nudged back in the corner was a large stuffed animal. It was a cat sitting upright. It still look really fuzzy and wasn't too dirty like it had been washed before. Though, it was missing one of the ears it was still in good condition. Perfect!! Check this out! He gently set down the book and other toy Adonia had found and tugged the stuffed animal out holding it up for Adonia to see. This is something they can use now and when they're older. They always cry if they can't feel their mom against them, but this is soft and warm like she is so they might feel comfortable cuddling up against this! Though, he felt one wasn't good enough with two puppies. I need one more though... His brow furrowed as he set the stuffed animal down.

Moss went into the backroom and went on a complex search. He searched the old cabinets that were in there and drawers. There was even and old chest where toys might have been stored before, but it was empty now. The last place to check was under the bed. Sure enough, there was another hidden treasure. It was another stuffed animal, this one was an old fashioned teddy bear with big leather buttons down the middle of his stomach. He also wasn't in perfect condition with one of his eyes falling off, but it would work. Adonia!! Come here! He screeched, tail going full force behind him as she got down on his stomach and crawled under the bed to fetch it. When he got it and came back up his front side was covered in the dust that was on the floor. At least that part of the floor was clean now. He dusted himself off and further examined the toy, his smile big and bright. They'd found a bunch of stuff that Terra could use to entertain them and keep them busy when she was tired. He was more than satisfied with what they had found. I think we've found enough. She'll be so happy. Moss was so excited he almost wanted to give the beautiful woman a hug, but he knew his boundaries. Thanks Adonia. he said meaningfully, mismatched eyes thanking her as well.

Kay kay Wink Want me to start the updated thread? Maybe him meeting her to learn to read XD

Word Count → 000

The book was taken unsure, he looked over the pictures then smiled some when he said they'd be appreciated. Adonia gave a cheery voiced response, "Well, I can read really well, if you'd like we can have reading lessons so you can read to them and perhaps teach them what I've taught you.." Her tail wagged lightly behind her excited at the prospect that her teachings would go beyond her. The second thing the wolfdog found went much better, the other wolfdog was overly excited and found it to be a great toy for the puppies. The male looked like he was going to run out of hands. As he gushed she went and found a few book bags that were in the closet from when humans had lived here. There were three, but Adonia would only take two of them, one for her and one for the male.

Her ears perked and as he called for her attention. She came rushing over, Theo stayed on his couch as he watched the two move around the house like a bunch of excited...whatevers! He wasn't too amused with it all, but it wasn't boring by any means.

Entering the room he was in she glanced around before she looked at what he held up. It was a cat, much like the one Tharin described talking too. It wasn't like any cat she'd seen, but it was a cat none-the-less. She grinned, "That does look like a good stuffed toy! I'm sure it would give them something to cuddle and comfort themselves with." Once he'd mentioned needing another she began to look around and search for another. He found it, and she stood upright from being down below looking for anything on the floor under furniture. He was in another room again, and she rushed over. He had a teddy bear, one of the most common of stuffed animals, but an original love. She gave him a broad grin, "Look at you, you've got a birds eye for searching." She joked giving a light giggle. She snapped her fingers, "Aw, wait, let me go grab a bag I found to help you get all this stuff back to your girlfriend.." She turned and quickly walked out not giving him the chance to correct her on what she'd called the wolf he was helping.

Coming back she gave him the extra bag, she'd already placed the book and plastic puzzle toy in it for him. "Here, put the stuffed animals in there, and you're all set..." Her brightly blues looked to meet his eyes. She gave him the softest smile. She was genuinely happy for him. He was so sweet and kind. He almost made her think of Ookami, but this male was much different. He was part dog, and a totally different look to him. Still, she could picture Ookami doing something very similar as he was doing.

Sorry about the wait on my Moss replies. I'm still waiting for my muse for him to kick in. :/ That sounds good!! :3

Moss's expression brightened even further, if that was possible, when Adonia told him she could teach him how to read better than he did already. As of now, he could probably get through the child's book but it would be slow and clumsy at best. The thought of teaching the pups and reading the book to them had his tail going off behind him. He was already a part of their lives and wanted to be there. If he was able to teach them something their mother couldn't then he would be proud. Are you sure? I mean, I'd love to improve my reading skills. There crappy at best right now. It didn't hit him until after, but it was also a second chance to be around the lovely Adonia Demos. His smile grew warmer as he thought about it. She was beautiful and smart, charming down to every detail and her personality proved to be one he could admire. He wasn't sure what chances he had with her but he was brave enough to take a shot and attempt to woo her.

The cat he had found behind the old dresser was appreciated by Adonia as well but the problem soon arose that one wouldn't be good enough. He had been a child once and knew that toys weren't easily shared in the young months of life. The beautiful woman again approved of his find and his vision confirming that he had done good. Oh how luck he was to have found these two treasures. Until now Adonia had found all of the good stuff. He was glad to have found something to contribute to their pile of goodies for Ananse and Loki. He was ecstatic when she agreed with him, his eyes looking from one toy to the other examining them further. They really weren't all that dirty and had a few minor tears and blemishes but they would have probably ended up this way eventually do to two rough boys pouncing and chewing on them. Moss didn't catch it right away, but Adonia had referred to Terra as his girlfriend. The thought tugged at him, causing one of his ears to swivel backwards as Adonia left the room. He opened his mouth to speak, maybe to correct it but she was gone. He thought about it for a moment. She wasn't his girlfriend, just a friend that he was helping out. He barely knew her! That statement had definitely created an awkward atmosphere for the rusty giant.

When Adonia came back with bags and he nodded placing the cat and teddy into the bag with the other toys. His ears were submissively pressed back now. He needed to tell her that Terra was nothing more than a friend at the moment if he ever wanted a shot with the stunning Adonia. But, she seemed to not have noticed her slip of tongue. Maybe it was for the best if she thought Terra was his girlfriend. It would certainly save him the hurt if she decided he wasn't good enough for her. Not handsome enough for her, or some other reason she didn't like him. No! He needed to be more forward with things like this or he'd surely end up alone with not a single child to teach about the world. Moss gave her an awkward toothy grin and then looked away before speaking up. His voice was kind of shy and unsure, but towards the end he found his courage. Adonia....Terra is just a friend....not my girlfriend. There, now she knew. Now maybe he had the smallest chance with her. Moss rubbed the nape of his neck as he stood straight up from putting the stuff in the bag which he set on the floor. His eyes found hers judging her reaction. I barely know her really...I'm not even part of her pack. Why was he so shy about it?

His smile was so warming, her eyes met him and she gave him her own warmed smile. His mind seemed to crank with thought and she giggled when he asked if she was sure. "Of course I'm sure! I wouldn't offer you something if I didn't want to." Her ears went back as she giggled more trying to stop her giggles. He was just so darn cute and to hear him ask her such a question was adorably cute. She finally calmed herself to gather other things, and once their gathering was done she helped him bag things.

As they bagged up the objects together he corrected her, and she looked up, again her eyes met his, "..oh, I'm sorry..I didn't mean to say that, it just seems like you're really involved with her doing all this. It's just...well, I hope you two--wait..did you say Terra?" She remembered how her pack revealed the true identity of the coyote who had told her that her pack was mean. She wagged her tail, "Terr! I hadn't seen her in so long! How is she? Doing well, now that I know you're caring for her! I will have to come to see her one day..maybe you could escort me and show me where she is!" Adonia became so excited now, 'You're so sweet to help her!" The wolfdog couldn't contain herself and she wrapped her arms around the rusty colored male and gave him a big hug. Once she realized how she acted she pulled back, her cheeks becoming hot and her ears folded back, '..oh, I'm sorry, I know Terra...well, knew her. She and I played not too long ago, she's a little prankster, that coyote.." Her shy eyes looked up sparkling a little.

Moss laughed nervously when she assured him she was willing to give him those reading lessons. Obviously. He shouldn't have asked such a retarded question. Her giggle was so light and full of joy, it was almost like a well composed melody. She was so sweet, and perfect and every way he'd seen thus far. Hopefully he didn't come off as a dork to her otherwise he'd probably never see her again. The lessons she'd offered would be nothing more than pity for a poor fool. He couldn't let these thoughts deter his confidence. If he wanted to see her again then he would have to make an impression on her. Yes...surely. He gave another chuckle and then his eyes darted away, wondering if he could do as he intended to and leave a lasting impression. Why were they both laughing like this? Maybe it was a good sign and meant she thought he was funny? His ears perked at the thought, going with the positive thought instead of the negative one to add to his confidence.

Their laughs finally ceased and the air calmed around them. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but he went with it. Moss's anxiety was halted when she apologized. Now she knew that he was available, that was a step...right? He was involved. He'd promised Terra he'd be there, even contemplated joining the pack. But, that was a commitment he wasn't sure he was ready for. Not after what had happened with his own pack. Moss nodded agreeing with her and then she cut of mid sentence to ask if she had said Terra. His eyes widened, ears pressing forward as he nodded again. Yeah, that's the mother's name. Why do you ask? Adonia seemed to get slightly excited upon confirmation of Terra's name and he looked over to her intently. They knew each other?! Well that was certainly something that might make for a chance to see this woman again. His own tail picked up pace and his smile widened, a toothy grin forming to cover his awkward demeanor. He nodded excitedly. Moss would love to bring Adonia to see her. He figured Terra could use some outside interaction, always being cooped up with Ananse and Loki. You guys know each other? Well that's great! She's doing very well, like you said. Ananse and Loki make her very happy. I would love to escort you to where she is. I'm sure she'd love to see you if you guys are friends. She isn't able to get out much having to watch over the pups.

This really was great. Moss was so happy to have found on of Terra's friends. The atmosphere in the room was no longer awkward, instead full of joy and excitement. That, he could work with. Moss became shy when he complimented her again, eyes darting away. Yeah...I supp- He was cut off by Adonia coming to hug him. He was surprised and chuckled briskly, an arm coming to wrap around her waist in a 'what the hell do I do' kind of way. He could say, that he enjoyed the hug greatly. A nervous blush seemed to form under his rusty colored fur and now the awkward air had filled the room again. Damnit! What was wrong with him? Adonia seemed to really know Terra, about her traps and the pranks she played. Moss laughed, still a bit nervous and warm. It's okay, really! It really was. The mention of traps had him thinking to the day he'd met Terra. He'd actually gotten caught in one of them. Moss laughed another hardy laugh. She really is a prankster. The day we first met I got caught in one of her traps. She tripped me right over and a second later she had me pinned down, ready to fight. It was quite the introduction. She was full of a fiery energy, always. It was infectious and he barely knew her.

The two were getting along grandly. They were both giggle fitted for a moment, but the excitement never seemed to leave them. They were enjoying one another's company. The mention of Terra brought another wave of joy and excitement. So much so, Adonia managed to turn the atmosphere awkward again with a simple hug. She felt so nervous and shy about it. He tried to play it off telling a story of when he met Terra. She looked up smiling sweetly, "Yeah! I was out by..I think Shattered Coast..and she came up to me, soaked from head to paws and shook her form out onto me soaking me then attempting to play. I was a little broken at the time..I had been searching for my mate who vanished. As I was getting to play with Terra, my mate, Ookami had showed back up from no where. He was missing for a year..." she recalled it, '..he is good at vanishing from me...." she got stuck in the funk again.."...I'm sorry...I'm sure you don't want to hear about my troubles..." Her eyes glanced up trying to pull away from the topic of her mate...to be ex. She was trying to figure out how to break it off. She wanted to give Ookami a chance, but she couldn't handle the lack of affections. He was sweet, he played beautiful music, but Adonia wanted more...she wanted to be able to rely on him, and she felt she couldn't rely on the creamy white male.

She realized then that his hands were still on her waist and she hadn't moved far from him, her hands were rested on his sides. Her cheeks went starkly red, but thankfully it was unnoticeable through her thick fur. Her ears pasted back though and she removed her hands, "Oh-I...I am sorry..I didn't--I.." Oh good lord Adonia! She cursed herself for being so touchy, but the male was there, and a form to touch and hold. Was she like her mother!? Touch and grab any available male before her!? This was the first time she'd done anything like this, so she knew she was being unkindly mean to herself.

The beauty before him didn't seem to think the hug was awkward at all as she started to speak about how she came to meet Terra. It put him in a calmer state, though the flushed warm feeling never left him. She was beautiful and they were so close, it was hard to keep his focus off of their touch. He was acting like a teenager, it was incredibly refreshing. Moss didn't move simply listening to her speak, her eyes sparkling up at him paired with a perfect smile. He tried to keep his cool, throwing on one of his toothy grins, his tail swaying excitedly behind him as she spoke. He tuned into what she was saying, but his mind was more focused on the hug than her words. Good thing he was a great listener. Moss laughed a brisk laugh. The woman they spoke of really was a spit fire. Her story went from Terra, to someone who was her mate? He immediately felt incredibly awkward again and disrespectful for flirting around with this man, Ookami's, woman. She seemed saddened as she spoke of him. The wolf had left her for a whole year? What kind of mate was he to do that to such a lovely and charming woman? Ookami had just left a bad impression the sweet gentle giant for doing something like that to Adonia who didn't seem capable of hurting even a fly.

Moss's face grew a tad stern. He felt the need to comfort her, but he didn't know her well enough to offer the comforts he wanted to give. She had a mate after all. Though now, he didn't feel so bad for accepting and liking the hug that she'd offered him. Moss shook his head, chuckling lightly. I don't mind listening to whatever you have to say...really. Honestly, he was just grateful for someone to talk to. Being a loner hadn't lent him very many friends to talk to. Adonia's troubles had given him a bit of bad news though. Adonia was mated which made his chances of getting to know her better slim. Moss changed the subject back to Terra seeing as the woman was getting upset by talking about this Ookami fella. Though he didn't mind listening to her talk about whatever she pleased. He was enjoying her company. It seems Terra leaves an firm impression on everyone she meets. He laughed again, wondering if it was rude of him to change the subject away from Ookami. Maybe she wanted to talk about him.

A few silent moments later, Adonia quickly recoiled her hands from Moss's waist and his eyes tried to find somewhere to hide from her gaze. His own hand was quickly removed from her as well as he realized he'd gotten rather comfortable with it placed there. He lifted his hand nervously to the back of his neck, ruffling his fur as he chuckled awkwardly. Right as Adonia started to apologize he cut in, wanting her to know that it was fine for her to have done that. No, no, no. Please don't apologize. Damn again! The air was so fragile between the two it was almost ridiculous. It was welcomed anyways, as her shyness was much better than straight out rejection. A blush formed on the man's face as well as his eyes found hers again, a dopey grin spread across his lips. I didn't mind...really. He wished she hadn't pulled away so frantically. The air grew quiet again lending for nothing but eye contact with the beautiful woman and suddenly his heart rate shot up. What the hell was wrong with the man? He was so damn shy, and delicate around this girl, it was truly an embarrassment. Moss took a breath and puffed himself up, his hand falling back tot he side hanging there awkwardly. What should he say? He didn't know, he was frozen there with a smile on his face like a giant idiot. Maybe she would say something soon to break this cursed silence, he sure hoped so.

The male was sweet enough to say he didn't mind listening to her about her mate, luckily, he seemed to keep the subject on Terra. She ginned and nodded, "Yeah, she did give me a fake name though, and my alpha at New Dawn revealed her true identity. She apparently likes to lie to others as to her real name. She also has a mixed review over in our pack I guess.."a small giggle came from her. She took a small step back and held herself some, feeling a little insecure. Her soft gaze looked up to the rusty male. as they had fumbled away from one another. This was a little awkward, and it made her realize she was easily swayed by a handsome male. Her thoughts should be more on Ookami, and not this rather cute male. It was time that they parted ways. It was probably for the best right now.

"..well, I should get back to my pack. I'm sure Ookami is worried about me...and..yeah.." She almost told the male she was probably going to end her mateship, but thought better of sharing that information. She needed to get back. "..well, until our reading lessons.." She picked up her book bag, the one with red doggie in it, then Theo came swooping over to her shoulder landing gracefully before giving the male wolf a stern look. He was quite possessive of his wolf. "It was nice to meet you Moss...Eila--umm Eilam, Dover oxx.." She fumbled his name horribly but gave a soft dip of her muzzle shyly, "..bye Moss.." She waved to him as she exited the house.
