Vow to My King

OOC here!

It was pretty tiring getting up after spending the night at the pool. The stone floor was cold, if beautiful, and he hadn't slept. Stretching Hadley moved his body, aching in protest as he left the cavern behind and headed back to the fort. His steps were still even, shaking off the effects quickly enough. His body complained, but he didn't have time to listen to it. Training allowed him to put it off, tail swaying as he walked through the rooms. Now he would be able to help his pack.

Entering the war room Hadley stopped, standing still as he looked over to the sol. He was an impressive figure, tall and serious. Hadley felt inadequate standing before him. He had asked to be a healer in the brotherhood at least, something more fitting for his nature. He managed a smile as he stood, waiting to be asked to speak the oath that he'd memorized the day before. He'd taken his time doing so, but he would be able to speak it now. Hopefully without hesitation.

It had surprised the Sole when Hadley approached him requesting to join the Brotherhood. Although it was wrong of him to think so Jazper had always figured that Hadley would run the other way in the face of danger. When Casa had fought and killed most of the raiders Hadley acted as though he was walking on eggshells for weeks in fear of one of the members turning their fangs on him. But as of late he had been working more and more on his healing studies, a field which Jazper knew next to nothing about but understood the importance. Casa was in great need of a healer, with many fighters and no one to mend their wounds, and it seemed as though the nervous brown male suited the job.

He waited patiently as the sun began to peak over the Earth, standing on the raised level of flooring. The door creaked open and his lighting colored eyes turned towards the Tronco with a calm smile. “Come kneel Hadley.” He ordered with a kindly tone. A large hand reached up and drew the claymore from it’s spot on his back, the tip coming down to rest on the ground by the Sole’s feet. “Tell me Hadley. You are so afraid of your pack mates in battle, will you be able to ‘face the world without fear of my enemies or the darkness’ if you're comrades need you on the field? If I need you?” He quoted from the Oath. He knew that Hadley would certainly be willing to heal the after effects of a battle, but what if he was needed on the battle field as a medic?

The scarred hybrid took his time kneeling. His entire body ached. No more than it had when he was with Amy, but more than it had for some time. On the ground he looked up, brown eyes hopeful and fearful. He wanted to succeed in this, but what if he wasn't enough of a warrior for it? Hadley couldn't say that he was willing to fight against others. He'd never been great at hitting back, and Amy had completely knocked the fight out of him. Healing was all he was good for now.

He managed to not flinch when the giant sword was drawn, the metal hitting against the stone echoing through the small room. Breathing deeply he listened to Jazper's words. He had a good point. Seeing his pack mates as capable at fighting and killing as those he feared had chilled him to the bone. It was difficult, thinking of facing him that way. A small tremor ran through his frame. Still he stayed tall. I will be able to. He would face his fears. He wouldn't abandon his pack.
